It was now October 18, 1948, Doody just turned 8 years old and Katelyn also just turned 14 years old. Kenickie, Putzie and Eugene were walking to the store to get the water pistol for Doody. Kenickie promised him that he'll get it for him. "Kenny, I know you wanna do something nice for Doody. But why couldn't you just ask Uncle Kayden to come and pay for it?" Putzie asked him.

Kenickie smiled at the innocence in his Babyface.

"I know Babyface, but I wanted it to be a surprise and please don't tell anyone that I stole the money from my dad's wallet, boys?" Kenickie asked them.

"Ok, we'll keep quiet. Right Eugene?" Putzie asked.

"Right!" Eugene smiled.

Kenickie chuckles at them.

"Thanks kids." He smiled as he ruffles their hairs. "Ok, let's go in."

The boys walked inside the store and Kenickie went to look for the water pistol.

"Hey Putzie, how come Sonny always picks on me? Sometimes Doody." Eugene asked him.

"They mean very well, they always picked on me." Putzie tells him.

"Oh, ok." Eugene shrugs, making Putzie chuckles at him and ruffled his hair.

"You're adorkable, ya know that?" Putzie said to him.

Eugene chuckles at him.

"Thanks." He laughs.

"Anytime nerd." Putzie teased.

He put his arm around him and ruffles his hair as Kenickie came back with a yellow water pistol.

"Got it!" Kenickie smiled.

"Hey, that's neato!" Putzie says.

"Doody's gonna love it." Eugene told him.

"Let's go pay for it." Kenickie said.

They went up to the cashier and Kenickie pay for the squirt gun.

"Have a good day, boys." The cashier smiled.

"Thanks man." Kenickie said before turning to the boys and putting the money in his pocket. "I'll give these money to my dad."

"Good." Eugene said.

They chuckled at him.

"C'mon boys." Kenickie said.

They walked out of the store and raced to Kenickie's house, but they let Eugene win anyway.

"You fellas let me win." Eugene says.

"Hey, we gotta let the nerd win, eh?" Kenickie winks.

Eugene chuckles as Putzie pats his shoulder.

"Come on." Kenickie laughs as they walked inside the house and walked into the kitchen, holding out the money for his dad who turned around from putting the dishes away, Kathleen was out shopping with Katelyn and the girls. "Here you go dad."

Kenickie smiled.

"What's this, kiddo?" Kayden asked.

He grabs the money.

"I um…I stole the money from your wallet." Kenickie admits. "I am really, really sorry dad. I promise Doody that I'll get him the water pistol….and I couldn't just say no to that Howdy Doody face of his."

Kayden chuckled at his son, he couldn't be mad at his son stealing money from him, just to get a water pistol gun for one of his brothers. Yes, he's not happy that his boy took the money from his wallet without asking, but how can he stay mad when Kenickie loves his Godsiblings so very much. He loves how Kenickie cares for the boys. Just like his old man.

"Just ask me next time, son." Kayden tells him.

Kenickie looked at him, in shocked.

"Y-you're…not mad?" Kenickie asked.

"I'm disappointed, but…I knew you would have a great reason and when it comes to the boys or Kathy, you'd do anything for them." Kayden smiles. "That is what I'm proud of, you being there for the ones you love." Kenickie smiled a little.

Kayden kissed his head.

"Ayy, I would do anything for them." He said.

Kayden hugs him and ruffles his hair.

"You're a great kid, don't you forget that." Kayden told him.

"Thanks dad." Kenickie smiled.

"Anytime kid." Kayden said as he put the money in his wallet before putting it back in his back pocket. "Come on, let's go to Doody's house."

So they went to Kayden's car and drove to the Del Fuegos' household, in living room Kayden, David and Addison smiled at Kenickie and Doody. Kayden had Donny in his arms.

"Kenickie, I love you! This is great!" Doody cheered as he hugged him.

They smiled at the boys.

"Anytime my lil' Howdy Doody." Kenickie said as he ruffles his hair. "I'd do anything for you, kid." He kissed his head, while smiling at him, who was admiring his new water pistol.

Kayden patted Kenickie's shoulder. He was proud of his son and how his boy would do anything for his family and his friends. Even though Kenickie was a little rebel, but with a big heart and the cutest smile ever.
