Tsubaki's eyes fluttered open to see a plain white room filled with plain white seats, none of which had anybody in them and what seemed like hundreds of Tsubaki flowers. The front of the room had a single black coffin. She looked around in utter confusion.

Where was she? How'd she get there? Where was everybody? That's when she remembered all that happened on halloween night. Suddenly, the room and everything inside all seemed to be glowing a faint yellow, just like Kid's cold, dead eyes had. Was this whole room just a manifestation of Kid's powers? But it didn't make sense, she died.

Tsuabki walked up to the coffin. Her hand immediately covered her mouth when she saw it. She felt like she was going to throw up.

Inside was the gray, lifeless shell of her own body, glowing a dull yellow just like everything else. It became overwhelmingly clear that this was a funeral. Her own funeral. Of course it was glowing yellow, she must be a ghost by now. Nobody could see her… if there was anybody around to see her…

She was a ghost now, but nothing felt different. Was it supposed to feel different?

Tsbaki closed her casket and took a seat in one of the many empty chairs, trying to calm her breathing down. It was so quiet, even just heavy breathing made the walls echo.

As she sat there, something suddenly caught her eye. On the floor, under the coffin was a book that, unlike everything else, wasn't glowing.

Curiosity got the best of her.

Tsbaki pulled the book off the floor and brushed yellow glowing dust off of it. 'Nakatsukasa Tsubaki' was the title, no author was to be seen. Nothing was on the back either, it was just a pitch black cover.

Opening it up, the book had perfect Times New Roman words, but it seemed like it was written in pencil, not ink.

'You are dead,' it read. 'Here is a list of all your accomplishments from life.'

Tsubaki turned the page to read more, but it was blank. One more turn of a page, and it was still blank. One by one, a page was turned to see nothing but a blindingly white page. The flips happened more quickly as she became more desperate. But soon enough, his hands started to slow down until they stopped altogether.

It made sense that it was blank… what has she done in life? She's always been in the background, letting Maka and Black Star shine, and she was fine with it. That's where she works best and she knew it. It made complete sense that nobody would remember her when she's gone…

It dawned on her; this was her funeral, and nobody was here. Funerals are where loved ones go to celebrate your life, but nobody loved her, did they? If nobody remembered or cared about her enough to come to her funeral, they weren't going to remember or care enough to ever think of her again.

A scentless flower in the silent ground, all the memories of her time on Earth dying with her.

It would be like she never existed in the first place…

But what about her friends? Were they dead too, or was she the only one Kid successfully got to? And what about Kid? Why did he do this?

Masamune's words echoed in her mind: Don't think about those people you call friends; they would never think about you…

If they didn't die with her, would they ever genuinely want to show up to this? They might not even notice that she's gone. She lived such an eventless life. They'd either end up making it an autobiography, or being so bored they died themselves. What a sad waste of a soul she was.

Tears streamed down Tsubaki's face as she sat there quietly. She even cried boringly.

She shouldn't be this sad. The less people care about her, the less they care that she's gone now. Forever.

A door opened, blinding yellow light pouring in. She assumed what was on the other side. Desperately, she didn't want to walk through, but what choice did she have? Either she stayed in the funeral hall forever with nobody alive around for eternity, or she could go into the nothingness for eternity. They were the exact same, and either way she would end up entirely alone. At least it'd be better than wasting any more of her 'friends' time, if they had any time left.

Tsubaki took a step through the door.

A/N: This one was a fair bit shorter, mostly because there's no dialogue I guess, but next is my favorite chapter~~ Yay~ I won't spoil much, but it has my favorite character~ Leave your comments pretty please, I forgot this story existed until someone recently commented so they really do help get a chapter out before Halloween 2022 rolls around. Btw, the next chapter is like 90% written and like twice as long as this one, so hopefully, it'd actually come out soon. Comment regardless, I love reading them :) As you could probably tell, the narrator is more or less the characters' thoughts. I should clarify that I don't hate Tsubaki and think she's boring. I feel so bad for her here. Anyway, til next time~
