It is now February 14, 1951 and it's of course, Valentine's day. The boys, Eugene and Abby were sitting in the classroom at their desk. "So Putzie, are you and Abby gonna go on your first date?" Sonny asked as Putzie and Abby chuckled at him.
"We're just friends." Putzie told him.
Danny chuckles at him and looks over at Doody who was staring at a little girl with short red curly hair.
"Uh, Howdy Doody?" Danny asked.
"Hmm?" Doody asked.
"What'cha lookin' at?" Danny asked.
"Francesca." Doody answers.
Kenickie awed at his younger best friend.
"Ooooh, my lil' Howdy Doody is smitten." Kenickie grinned.
Danny rubs Doody's back.
"Go say hi." He ushers him.
Doody looks at the boys.
"Kenickie, what do I say?" Doody asked.
Kenickie chuckles at him.
"Just say hi, kid." He winks.
"Ok." Doody spoke as he stood up.
"Good luck." Abby smiled.
"Thanks Abby." Doody smiled before walking over to Francesca's desk and sat down at the empty desk. "Um, hi." Doody spoke as Francesca looks up and smiled.
"Oh, hello Anthony." She smiled.
Doody looks back at the boys who were grinning as Danny gave him a two thumbs up while Kenickie gave him an "Ok" sign with a wink. Doody turns back to her and sits down in the empty desk, next to her.
"So uh…how are you?" He asked.
"I'm good, how about you?" Francesca asked.
"I'm good, thanks." Doody smiled.
Francesca smiled at him.
"So…g-got any…plans after school?" Doody asked.
"No, why?" Francesca asked.
"Well I…w-wanna to see if you…wanna…hang out with me, after school?" Doody asked her.
Francesca kissed his cheek, leaving Doody shocked.
"I'll love to be your date for Valentine's day." She tells him.
"Yeah!" The boys cheered.
"Oh why…ok, thanks! Heh!" Doody rambled on. "I'll see you after school then."
"I'll be here." She smiled.
"Great!" Doody smiled as he gets up and walks back to his desk.
"I raised you right, my boy!" Kenickie grinned.
Danny draped his arm around Doody and ruffles his hair, talking about Doody's very first date ever, with lovely Francesca. They knew the boy had a crush on her since the 3rd grade.
