Location:Night Raid Base
Time: 2:21 A.M.
It was late, Captain Trevor and the rest of the army have returned to the Night Raid base while William returned to the former New Order Base. The battle was brutal, Many died as a result from it while more of the others were badly injured. But they somehow survived, survived the Airplanes, tanks, bombers and worst of all, the War Priest, without Trevor or the Reapers, all would killed. The Capital had some part covered with dead bodies and scrap metal from the T-800s, Tanks and Airplane. This is was everyone volunteered for, this is how each battle of this War will be, this is modern warfare.
Many soldiers were still being held at the infirmary. Burn wounds, bullets wounds and injuries from bombs suffered by the soldiers made everyone realise just how bad this War will be.
Chelsea walks by an injured soldier, he had his left leg blown completely off while he whispers to himself like a mad man.
"T--T THE S- SOUNDS, THE A-A-AIRPLANES, TH-T-THE B-B-BOMBS, T-THE TANKS" The battle had not only injured many soldier but cause some psychology effect. Chelsea moves on before she stumbles upon
"Tatsumi? What the Fuck happened happen to you?" Chelsea couldn't believe how bad his injuries was.
"I got caught up in the bombings, blew both of my legs off, guess I can't be of anymore use for us now"
"WRONG, I've seen what you're capable of Tatsumi, and don't ya worry about your legs, we can fix that" Trevor walking by replied to Tatsumi
"What? How? The only option is to get prosthetic legs which can never be as good as my real ones once were"
"No fucking way, with someone like you, cybernetic legs would be more of an upgrade for you, no more worries about cramps or injuries"
"But where would we find such a thing?"
"The New Order Base? But it will take a while for you to heal"
"How long?"
"Months"
"But we don't have that much time, we must destroy the enemy immediately!"
"No not now,it's impossible with the manpower we have now, anyway you better get some rest" Trevor leaves before Najenda comes up to Tatsumi. "You fought well Tatsumi, unfortunately many of our soldiers didn't make it. Still, we won our first battle against the NET, feel proud Tatsumi and rest for now" Najenda Walks by before she stumbles upon Bulat and Run, Trevor was there too. "Boss, what's the next plan now?" Bulat asks
"Uncertain for now, I will have a meeting with our leaders later, Bulat, you did great out there, many didn't survive, and you Run, we haven't really met but I must say Esdeath's men are quite strong, I'm impressed, good work out there"
"Ah, don't worry these 2 will shred the enemy once they get cybernetic enhancements" Trevor spoke
"What?"
"As we all know now, high tech usually beats human power, so replacing their limbs with metal ones might be even better" Trevor before he and Najenda head off to the main meeting room.
Bulat and Run, on their own bed. Run had an eye patch with a few bullet wounds on his chest while half of Bulat's left arm was gone and he had been bandaged in order to stop the bleeding.
"Jeff, what's it like in your world after a battle?" Leone asked Jeff who were both only slightly wounded
"Worse, War Priests are usually more numerous, we are so lucky only 1 was present this time"
"What? No way, then how are they usually defeated?"
"Juggernauts, Juggernauts can basically take down a War Priest on its own"
"Guess We survived this time huh?" Lubbock said as he stumbles upon Jeff and Leone "I Never
After the 4 leaders of Team 45K, Team 57X, the Night Raid and the Jaegers grouped up at the main meeting room.
Najenda, Esdeath, Trevor contacted Vadim at the former New Order Base to discuss their next move.
"How many again?" Vadim asked
"1800 plus" Najenda replied
"2000 went to the battle, and less than 200 survived?"
"Yes, that is why I'm not allowing anymore revolutionary to lose his life for such a small victory"
"Sorry to break it to you, but it's unavoidable, however you're right, with the condition of the our army now, we do not stand a chance again the NET, just this battle where we lost 1800 soldiers and many more were injured, and the total number of enemy soldiers were less than a thousand. At their base, their units will always outnumber us" Trevor replied
"Then, what's our move?" Esdeath asks
"Train all revolutionary soldiers until they are prepared" Najenda suggests
"But how long is that going to take?" Esdeath asks
"Months or even a year" Trevor replied
"What? But we do not have that much time"
"You got any other option Esdeath?"
Esdeath remained silent and had to admit, that was probably the best course of action.
"But I am very sure the Enemy will attack us again" Vadim replied
"Yes, so until our soldiers are ready, we have to hold the enemy off"
"With what? This time their attack would even be considered small, next attack might very well be twice the size, and 1 more thing how many soldiers are in the Revolutionary Army, Najenda?"
"All together ? Possibly about 5 million, many suddenly joined us after the attack on the north"
"That is barely enough, we need more" Trevor said
"At this moment, where are we supposed to find any more soldiers?"
"The former Imperial army, now that they don't have any leadership from the Empire, they would surely follow me" Esdeath recommended
"Oh yea, and how many heads atleast from the Imperial Army?"
"Possibly almost a Million from the whole country, but with some really strong Teigu users"
"6 Million huh? The enemy will always outnumber our army and we have another problem"
"And what is that?" Esdeath asks
"Weaponry, we have only enough for 3 million combined with the ones we got from the battle, in this base and at the other base" Trevor replied
"We have to manufacture more guns then" Vadim recommended
"How the are we supposed to do that?" Najenda asks
"Here, this base, the New Order Base has a small factory which has actually been operating for the whole time"
"Then, that's 1 problem solved, but still, now our only hope is the Revolutionary Army and the Imperial Army of the former Empire, they will all be massacred by the NET if we attack now" Trevor said
"Then we have to train them, that is our only option at the moment"
"And now, Machines will attack us all at anytime with no warning,"
"Yes, let us make sure we will be able to repel them each time"
"Good luck if they send another War Priest"
"Alright, our plans have been decided, we shall move all the public people back to the Capital but this time we shall install much more modern defences, the Capital will also be where we shall make a training facility for our soldiers, our first step is telling the Revolutionary Army leaders our situation while moving the civilians back into the Capital"
"For 6 million, genius..."
"This is our only hope, 6 million vs possible a billion by the we are ready"
"WHAT?" Esdeath and Najenda were shocked by this info
"Yes, they might have manufactured that many by the time we strike, so we do not really have a choice. Fortunately, we will have the time to get ready and this time, we shall send all of our forces, all fully equipped, some will be able to pilot aircrafts or control some of the drones from the other base which will give us more firing support. But first, we must teach and train them to be used with modern warfare" Trevor explained the plan before Vadim replied from the New Order Base "Ah, I have discovered that this base has plenty of aircrafts and even an automated anti air system"
"Oh? so that base is safer than this one then?"
"Much more I believe"
"Good then let's move to that base and make it our Headquarters instead from now, any questions?" Esdeath suggested and all 3 agreed with her. So the plan was made, train the army to prepare for the last siege on NET HQ.
Najenda announced to everyone the plan, however, the injured still had to stay at the Night Raid base for a while. They planed to move to the next HQ soon, but a some like Akame, Michael and a few other still had to take care of the injured. William went back to the Capital from the New Order Base to fire the flare that will bring all the civilians back the next morning. He will accompanied by the soldiers, Mine, Hussein, Randall, Akame, Bols and Lubbock. Najenda headed off to the Revolutionary Army Headquarters with Susanoo. Trevor went alone to the New Order Base for him and Vadim to discuss their plan further. Esdeath stayed at the Night Raid base with the rest of the group for the rest of the Night. It was late and most were already asleep, Yet, Leone and Jeff were still up, the 2 hand-to-hand fighters saw little action during the battle for the city so they trained a little, well more like Jeff training Leone. "Come on! Where's your agility!" Jeff keeps on dodging Leone's punches. She had her Teigu activated this time but still Jeff was just too fast. He dodges all of her attacks or either blocks them before he quickly grapples her and locks her in a choke. But she doesn't give up, she punches his abdomen as hard as she can, but it felt like hitting a brick wall. He throws her to the ground before clenching his hardened fist and launches a punch only to stop from an inch from Leone's head.
"That makes, but you've gotten better"
"Thanks" Jeff helped Leone get once more back to her feet.
"Hey! Was that Hardening that I just saw?" Kiyoshi who apparently was still awake saw them sparring
"Yes, this is the art of Hardening" Jeff clenches his fist once more as it turns matte black
"I always wanted to learn that, just didn't have time"
"Well then, you're in luck, I can teach you, but first let's see how strong you are, the 2 of us, sparring, no weapons"
"Alright, let's do it" Kiyoshi got rid of his 2 Hatchets and came face to face with Jeff their fight started, the white haired Fox boy charged at Jeff with both of his fists clenched, but instead he kicks Jeff but Jeff blocks it with his arms. Kiyoshi went jumped away from Jeff and with his light body sprang immediately back at Jeff this time with his right fist. Jeff dodges it before grabbing Kiyoshi by his neck and slamming him to the ground. "Had enough?" Jeff asks
"NO!" Kiyoshi was able to get out of Jeff hold with his agility and the fact that Jeff was going easy on him for the first time. "Good you managed to get out of my hold, however, your speed isn't enough"
"What?"
Jeff disappeared in from of Kiyoshi and before Kiyoshi knew it, Jeff from behind gets him locked into a choke position. Kiyoshi taps out in a few seconds seeing no escape and Jeff releases his hold. "WHAT WAS THAT?"
"hmmm?"
"There's no way a human can move that fast!"
"A normal human, no, but for someone who can control how much strength he wants to use then yes"
"What? How?"
"Long explanation"
The 3 of them didn't realise they were being watched as all of them were a little bit too concentrated with the fight before they heard a slow clapping.
"You, Jeff, you've defeated me before but I want a rematch, that time I underestimated you, so now let's do it again"
"Esdeath? Alright, you're one of the strongest I have ever fought here"
"Damn, I have a bad feeling about this" Leone thought to herself
"No special powers or weapons this time?" Jeff asks
"Last time I used my fists for fighting was years ago, but I can manage, so LET'S DO THIS!"
Jeff stood there as he usually does when sparring waiting for the opponent to attack, Esdeath still charged at Jeff, she was fast, she uses her right leg and aimed straight for Jeff's abdomen which he blocks before immediately grabbing it using only his left hand, he twists her foot but she counters by twisting her body and tries to kick Jeff in the head but he still able to block it with his right hand but he could feel Esdeath has had a lot of experience in hand-to-hand combat by the power of her kick. He releases his hold of her foot but she wasted no time by launching herself back at him in which he quickly dodges her attack and counters by using his right knee to hit her upper body but she was able to block it effectively but she ran out of luck as he uses his legs to grapple her head and threw her to the ground then getting on top of her while clenching his right fist. "Guess this is over huh?"
"I admit defeat" Esdeath can't move, there was no escape for her.
Jeff releases her and stands up before offering her a hand
"Oh thank you" she gladly accepts the offer and stood up as well
"Wait, let's do it again!"
"hmm? ok" Jeff agrees
1 hour later... Kiyoshi and Leone had went to bed already
"And that makes 15" Jeff finishes his 15th win over Esdeath
"Guess that's it for today"
"Yes, I'm getting tired, let's go back"
"Agreed, but wait! Can we do this every night?"
"Well Ok, but maybe not this late everytime?"
"No but for me it's been years since I actually can get excited during battle, my fights usually end too quickly and are far too boring, then I fought you"
"Great I guess, plus you can train with us all the time, actually you would've already been a Captain during the War in my world if you had enough training with your Ice powers. Anyways, let's go back, I'm tired"
"It's Teigu but yea I agree, it's already really late"
The Night finally came to an end well, more like the Morning is going to start in a few hours.
