5 months later, it is now August 2, 1953 and Phil was out of the army, no one knows he was back for good. He quit, for a very good reason. He just left the airport to drive all the way to Frosty to see Derek's car. So he parks the car and got out, walking inside to see Derek and Anna with Archie and Ashley. So he walks over to their table and cleared his throat as Derek looks up and did a double take. "Phil!?" Derek exclaimed as he stood up and so did Anna. "Look at you kid!" Phil hugs them back.

"Uncle Philly!" Ashley squealed.

Phil picks her up.

"Hey cutie!" Phil smiled.

"What are you doing back so early?" Anna smiled as she hugs him.

Phil hugs Archie as well.

"Well I…I just missed being home." Phil said.

"You ok, buddy?" Derek asked.

Phil let out a laugh.

"Of course I'm alright." He told them.

They chuckled at him.

"Does Aunt Peyton and Uncle Peter know you're back?" Derek asked.

"No, but I wanna surprise them." Phil told them.

"They're going to be over the moon." Anna smiled.

"Epically Putzie." Derek adds.

Phil nods.

"Yeah, dad said he's missed me like crazy and is afraid of losing one of his heroes." Phil stated. "I felt so awful." He adds.

"Awww Phil." Anna said hugging him. "Well you're gonna make that cute little kiddo happy."

Phil smiled.

"Yeah and of course I wanted to see my baby sister." He adds.

"Oh you'll love her, she's great." Derek smiled.

"Yeah, mom sent a picture of her when I was on base." Phil said.

They smiled at him.

"Phil?" They turned to see Shane and Maya walking in. "No freakin' way, Phil!"

Maya was holding Shane Jr. in her arms.

"Shane!" Phil smiled as he hugged Shane, still holding Ashley. "Hey man!"

Phil puts Ashley down, hugging Maya and then held Shane Jr. in his arms.

"What are ya doing back so early?" Shane asked him.

"I just…I just missed everyone, that's all." Phil says.

Derek knew there was something bothering Phil.

"Is…everything's ok?" Derek asked him.

Phil chuckles at his best friend.

"Yes Derek," Phil smiled. "I'm fine."

"Ok buddy." Derek smiled.

"Come on, let's go surprise everyone." Shane spoke.

"I'll call mom and dad." Anna says to Derek.

"Good idea." Derek smiled as Anna ran to the counter.

~After awhile~

Phil, Derek, Anna, Ashley, Shane and Maya, all arrived at the Jacobs's household. Phil waited in his car for Derek to come out to say it's time. Phil rolled up his jacket sleeve to reveal his bandage on his lower arm, where he got shot. Thankfully his army buddies saved him just in time. He quickly rolls down his sleeve when he saw Derek running outside.

"Ok kid, let's go." Derek says.

Phil gets out of his car and followed Derek to the front door, letting Derek go in first as he waited and happy that he'll be reuniting with his family. His massive family.

"Ok everyone, we have a big surprise for ya!" Derek smiled.

Shane motions for Phil to come in and he did.

"My baby!" Peyton cried as everyone ran to hugged him.

"My boy, how are ya?" Peter asked.

"Philly!" Putzie exclaims happily.

Phil picks up Putzie with his good arm.

"Why are you here so early, kiddo?" Dylan asked.

"Well I uh…I just…I was homesick." Phil lied.

"Are you ok?" Danny asked.

Phil chuckles at him.

"Of course Danny, I'm alright." He tells him as he puts Putzie down.

"Come on son, take a load off and relax." Peter said.

Phil sat down on the couch while Katelyn sits down next to him and kissed his cheek.

"I'm glad you're here, babe." She smiled.

He smiled and kissed her head.

"Where's Pammy?" Phil asked.

"I just put her down to sleep an hour ago." Peyton smiled.

"She's really adorable, Philly!" Putzie smiled.

Phil chuckles at him and kissed his head.

"I'm sure she is, buddy." Phil smiled. "I'll go see her."

He stood up and walked up the stairs to Pammy's bedroom as he walked in, he saw his adorable baby sister wide awake making him chuckled.

"Sorry princess, did I wake ya?" Phil asked. "I'm your big bro, Phil." Phil smiled down at her and held her in his arms. "I'm so glad I can be home now." He told her. "I love you so much."

He felt tears well up in his tears, thinking that if his hero and army buddy hadn't saved him in time, he'd never meet his baby sister or get married to Katelyn and have a family.

"And…I promise I'm not gonna leave again." He adds as he lets out a sniff and kissed her head. "I love you, princess." He smiled.

He turned to see Putzie at the doorway.

"Hey buddy." Phil smiled.

Putzie walks in with a confused look.

"You're…crying." He spoke.

"No buddy, I'm fine. I'm just glad to see Pammy." Phil told him.

"Mommy and daddy said it's bad to lie." Putzie tells him.

Phil lets out a sigh.

"Come on, let's go downstairs. Ok." Phil said.

They both walked out of the room and down the stairs.

"She was awake when I walked in." Phil said as Diane held Pammy in her arms.

Putzie walked over to Peter and Peyton.

"Philly was crying and I know it wasn't just about Pammy." Putzie said.

"Putzie, I'm fine." Phil lied.

"You sure?" Derek asked.

Phil looks at everyone and at the door since someone knocked.

"I'll get it." Zack spoke as he ran to the door and opened it.

It was Phil's army buddy, Patrick Simcox.

"Hey Patrick." Phil smiled.

"Hey, everyone." Patrick smiled.

"Hey Patty." Derek smiled, making Patrick chuckles at him.

"Dude, that's my baby sister's name." Patrick smiled.

They laughed.

"Did you tell them, Phil?" Patrick asked.

Phil shook his head.

"No, and I will never tell them what happened." Phil said.

Patrick lets out a sigh.

"Well they should know why you quit." He tells him.

"Oh dear, I'm so glad you're not going into war again." Peyton said hugging him.

Peter chuckles at his wife.

"Son, wanna tell us what happened?" Peter asked his eldest.

Phil lets out a big sigh.

"Ok, when on base…" Phil started. "Patrick and I had to go on a mission and…everything was seem alright, until…I got shot in the arm." Everyone gasped. "But Patrick saved me just in time." Phil adds. "Lucky it's was just my arm and not my chest or the head."

"My baby!" Peyton cried.

"I'm so glad you're ok, son." Peter said.

"You almost got killed and I could've lost a brother?" Putzie asked.

He had tears in his eyes now.

"Yes Roger, but I'm here now." Phil assured him. "And I'm never ever gonna leave you or Pammy." Putzie bites his lower lip. "Come here."

Phil hugs him as Putzie squeezed him tightly as everyone joined in the hug.

"I'm never leaving again, baby brother." Phil promised, while Putzie cried.

Putzie was so glad that he still had his big brother.
