It's finally August 8, 1954 Derek and Anna were driving to Derek's parents, Dylan and Diane's, with Archie and Ashley in the backseat playing with her favorite dolly that her grandfather, Fredrick gave to her, while Archie awed his at baby sister. "Wanna know what my dolly's name?" Ashley asked her parents as Derek and Anna smiled at each other.
"What is it, Princess?" Derek asked.
"Freddie!" Ashley smiled, making them chuckled at their daughter's cuteness.
"Kiddo, that's a boy name." Archie said with a smile.
"I know, but I wanted to name her, Freddie, since Grandpa Dylan said he was everyone's favorite grandfather." Ashley told them.
They felt their heart melt, Derek knew what his other grandfather, Dylan's father, did to his dad and his family. Dylan told him everything when he turned 18.
"He is, Princess." Derek smiled.
"The best!" Archie smiled as Derek pats his knee.
"And I love Grandpa Dylan, he always lets us stay up past my bedtime." Ashley giggled.
Derek and Anna chuckled at her.
"We've noticed." Anna smiled as Derek laughed slightly.
They arrived at Dylan and Diane's house.
"Wait here!" Derek said getting out and running to Anna's side with Ashley next to her. "Here ya go, my two wonderful ladies." Anna smiled as she got out and so did Ashley. "And my awesome lil' buddy."
Archie gets out as Ashley hugs him.
"I love you, Artie!" Ashley smiled up at him.
They awed at her as Archie kissed her head.
"I love you too, kiddo." Archie smiled.
Derek held Ashley in his arms and tickled her, making her laugh as they walked up to the front porch and rang the doorbell, before going inside.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Derek greeted.
"Derek!" Danny shouted as he and Daisy ran to hug them.
"Hey, there's my baby bro and baby sis!" Derek said as he picked Daisy up in his arms. "Where's mom and dad?" He asked.
"Dad is out cooking dinner on the grill and mom is making desert." Danny said. "And Zack is upstairs, sleeping. He's still upset about Aunt Zoey."
"Oh, the poor baby." Anna says.
Diane walks out of the dining room with a smile.
"Oh, you're here! Want to join us for dinner?" She asked.
Derek smiled and hugged her.
"Sure mom, but we're here for something else important." Derek said.
Dylan comes back inside the house and smiled at his son as he hugged them all.
"Hey buddy!" Dylan said, kissing Archie's head.
"Hey grandpa!" Archie smiled.
Dylan picks Ashley up in his arms.
"Hey cutie!" Dylan smiled, making Ashley giggled as he tickled her.
"Mom, dad…we have something to tell you." Derek said.
"It's about Zack." Anna spoke.
"Dear, go get Zackary up, please." Diane says to Danny.
He runs upstairs.
"What's going on?" Dylan asked.
"You'll see." Derek smiled.
Danny came back with Zack.
"Hi Derek, Hello Anna. Hi lil' lady." Zack said hugging them and kissing Ashley's cheek. "Hey bro!"
"Hey bud!" Archie greeted, hugging Zack back.
He held Ashley in his arms as he and Archie tickled her, making her laugh.
"Mom, dad…" Derek started. "Anna and I…we're adopting Zack."
Everyone looked at them shocked.
"Y-you're adopting…me?" Zack asked.
"You got it, buddy." Anna smiled.
"We raised you right, my boy." Dylan smiled.
"Thanks pop!" Derek said as Diane hugged and kissed both of them, kissing Ashley on the head.
"Yay, Zacky's gonna be our big brother!" Ashley squealed.
They chuckled at her.
"Actually, he's gonna be my little brother." Archie smiled at Zack, who hugged him.
"Derek…Anna, I am…" Zack started as he let out a big sigh and hugged Derek tightly as Derek hugged them back, tearing up a little.
"Anytime bud." Derek said as Anna kissed his head.
"So…are you guys…like my new parents, am I still your cousin?" He asks.
"Yes, we're your adoptive parents but we will always be your cousins." Derek smiled at him.
"Thanks Derek." Zack smiled.
"Don't mention it, kid." Derek tells him.
"C'mon, you can help with dinner." Diane said as Anna smiled.
They both went into the kitchen as Dylan and Derek went out back to the grill while the kids went back to play again. Zack was now happy and felt a lot more loved, of course he always felt loved when he's around the Zukos', the Murdochs', LaTierris', the Del Fuegos' and the Jacobs' too.
