Huelene Freeman, the biological daughter of Huey Freeman and Jazmine Dubois, tracks down her father 30 years after she was born to ask him about his and Jazmine's relationship before she was born and how things went left.

Huey loves to read, heck he's the smartest person in the school. He often gets teased for being a "nerd" and laughed at but he doesnt let it get to him. He meets Jazmine whos sweet but not the sharpest tool in the shed though enjoys making friends with the boy. Although, he's confused on why she would ever talk to a guy like him.

Everyone went on their own paths once they graduated — Jazmine stayed in Woodcrest and went to the state university, while Huey went back home to Chicago to attend school. After a health scare with Granddad, Huey found himself moving back to Woodcrest to be around his family more. While there are plenty of things that are the same in Woodcrest, just as much has changed…

Huey has been crushing on Jazmine for a while so he tries to build up the courage to talk to her. For some reason she has such a haze on him and she makes him act differently. After their disconnection of 2 years he attempts to learn to handle his emotions differently.
