Derek was helping Anna with dinner, while Archie set the table with Zack playing with Ashley, Oliver and Olivia in the living room. "The table is all set up!" Archie announced.
Both parents looked over at their eldest.
"Good job, my boy!" Derek smiled.
Anna wipes her hand before going to kiss Archie's head.
"You can rest up, now." She tells him.
"You sure?" He asked.
They smiled at him.
"Son, go relax until dinner." Derek smiled.
"Yes, you did well." Anna smiled.
"Alright!" Archie grinned
They chuckled at him.
"Zacky!" They heard a small voice called out.
They rushed over into the living room, to see Zack holding Oliver in his arms.
"Derek, Anna," Zack said looking at his elder cousins. "Ollie just said his first word!"
Derek holds Oliver in his arms, kissing his cheek.
"That's my lil' man!" Derek smiled proudly.
Anna kissed Oliver's kiss.
"Dada! Mama!" They looked down at Olivia in Archie's arms. "Ollie! Artie! Zacky!"
"Ashy!" The twins cheered.
Derek, Anna and the older kids were very shocked and amazed.
"You raise smart kiddos!" Zack smiled.
They chuckled.
"Derek, the kids gotta stop growing up so fast!" Anna cried.
Derek chuckled and kissed her cheek.
"I'll always be your little girl just like Lovely!" Ashley smiled.
They awed at her as Anna holds her in her arms.
"I know, baby girl." Anna smiled.
Anna puts her down.
"Ok children, dinner will be ready in the minute." Anna tells them.
"Yay!" The kids cheered.
Derek and Anna chuckled at them before Anna turns to go in the kitchen while Zack pulled Derek's arm.
"What's up buddy?" Derek asked.
"Derek…did mother not love me?" Zack asked his elder cousin.
Derek felt his heart break.
"Of course she did, buddy." Derek tells him. "Play with the kids for bit, alright."
"Ok." Zack mumbles as Derek kissed his head before turning back to the kitchen.
He and everyone felt awful for the kid.
