CHAPTER 18

AMELIA'S POV

I was running. I didn't know where I was, there were dense forests all around me. I continued to run until I stumbled upon a small town if it could even be called a town. There was a small neighborhood and an even smaller area of stores. I walked around the small town not feeling comfortable going into the middle of town. I continued walking until I saw a mini castle in a small clearing. I approached the house cautiously, something didn't feel right about the house but I made my way to the front door, before I could knock the door was thrown open and a very pale man with red eyes and white hair, I noticed another man standing behind the white-haired man who was equally as pale with the same red eyes but he had black hair. They both had a startled look on their face with their eyes wide as they looked me up and down.

"My dear. How are you alive?"

"What? What are you talking about? How do you know who I am?"

The black-haired man pushed the white-haired man out of the way, opening the door wider inviting me inside.

"Why don't you come in and we will explain everything. My name is Stefan and this is Vladimir."

I followed Stefan inside as Vladimir closed the door before following close behind. Stefan led me into the living room, I sank down on the couch as Vladimir and Stefan sat in chairs across from me.

"Now, What is the last thing you remember?"

I tried to recall my memories but it all seemed fuzzy and hard to focus on.

"I… ugh… A forest. Canada. It is all fuzzy and I can't recall everything. I had a family, parents, siblings. I remember a wedding. I… I remember a boy with eyes like yours. H-how do you know who I am."

"Amelia, dear. You have been missing for 10 years."

I couldn't believe it. How had I been gone for 10 years when it felt like yesterday I was in Canada. I looked between Vladimir and Stefan but they were focused on each other, seemingly having their own conversation.

"What. What are you hiding?"

"It's just we are surprised to see you alive and well… human."
