Chapter 14. Just like old times.
The ceremony had just ended, Logan and Rory were now married.
"Congratulations, to you both." Christopher said while shaking Logan's hand and hugging Rory.
" We wouldn't be here if you and Colin hadn't found the loophole in the contract." Logan said.
" It was nothing, I couldn't just stand by and do nothing. When Rory asked me, I knew she was still in love with you." Christopher said.
" We never really stopped loving each other. We were just too young to understand what we really had." Logan said.
" Are you going to let us have a chance to congratulate them or?" Lorelai asked her husband while wrapping her arms around her daughter.
"I'm so glad that Logan called and invited you. It wouln't have been the same without you here." Rory told her parents.
"There is nowhere else that we would rather be than here. You finally did it, you got married. After all these years." Lorelai said.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but we have a party to get to. This needs to be celebrated." Finn interrupted.
"Finn, you didn't need to plan a party too, the wedding ceremony was enough." Rory told him while hugging him.
"Well I did, so now let's going. I have it all planned." Finn said.
"Ace, can I talk to you for a sec?" Logan asked while grabbing her arm.
"Sure, husband. Sorry, we'll be right back." Rory announced.
Rory followed Logan, away from their family.
"Logan, what is it?" Rory asked.
"I just needed a minute alone with my wife." Logan answered while kissing her.
"Well as much as I can relate, I know you. What is it?" Rory asked.
"I don't know how it happened but mom and dad found out about our relationship." Logan answered.
"Wait, what? How in the world did they find out? We only told my parents, Honor and the guys." Rory asked with a slight panicked voice.
"I don't know, but I don't think they know about the wedding. All I know is that dad wants to see me when we get back."
"So we tell them then, because if I know anything about your parents, they have probably already sent out your wedding invitations."
"I'm so sorry about all this, this is not how I wanted our marriage to start."
"Hey, for better or worse. You are stuck with me, and I would not have this any other way. We will handle this together, you and me. You jump, I jump Jack." Rory told him while placing her hand on his cheek.
"It's funny, that you would say that."
"Why? You jump, I jump Jack, it's ours. That is the moment I knew I could trust you."
"Take off your ring and look inside it."
Rory did what he said. She took off the ring and looked inside it.
It read LBD, November 2th 2004.
"Oh my god, Logan!" Rory said, surprised.
"November 2th, the day I fell in love with you. The day you changed my life forever." Logan told her.
"You changed my life too. You supported me, you believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.
"Ace, you believing in me meant the world to. You helped me stand up to my dad. Even though I still ended up working at my family's company. You stood by me when my company failed. And then I had to ruin everything by proposing."
"Hey, none of that talk on our wedding day. We were young, stupid and impulsive. For so long, I wish I had said yes. But we weren't ready, but now here we are married. Ready to spend the rest of our lives together."
" You are so right Mrs. Huntzberger."
" I know I am, Mr. Gilmore."
"Come here." Logan told her while pulling her into his arms and kissed her.
"I love you, and no matter what happens it's always going to be you and I." Rory told him between the kisses.
"I love you too, now we should go back to the others. Before Finn sends out a search party to look for us."
They kissed one last time, before walking back to the others.
"There you are, Finn were just about to send out a search party." Colin joked.
"I just wanted a minute alone with my husband." Rory said.
"So we should get going, the night has just begun." Colin announced.
"What have you done?" Rory asked while looking at Finn and Logan.
"Don't look at me, I have no idea what they have planned." Logan promised.
"You know I don't buy that right? I know you Logan, you are always involved."Rory told him while grabbing his hand.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Logan told her.
"You will find out soon." Finn said while smiling.
"If everybody would follow me this way." Colin announced.
Rory looked at Logan, before taking his hand and then following Colin and the others. They all walked out of the room and walked out to the street. There stood a limousine, waiting to take them to their next destination.
"Will someone tell me what is going on? What do you have planned, just give me a hint?" Rory asked.
"Well love, we are going back to the beginning. And that is all I'm saying." Finn answered her.
Fifteen minutes later the limousine stooped.
"We're here, now before you get out, Logan?" Robert said while handing Logan something.
"Do you trust me Ace?" Logan asked.
"I trust you with my life. husband." Rory said while Logan took the blindfold and put it over Rory's eyes.
"Let's do this." Stephanie said.
They all got out of the limousine. Finn and Logan helped Rory out of the car.
Logan then lead her towards a field.
"Are you ready, wife?" Logan asked while moving his hands towards the blindfold.
"I'm ready as I'll ever be." Rory answered while Logan removed the blindfold.
Logan removed the blindfold, as soon as he did. Rory gasped.
"Oh my god Logan! It's just like the first life and death brigade event that I attended.
Before Rory's eyes stood a replica of the structure that her and Logan had jumped off, so many years ago.
"It was all Finn, Colin and Robert's idea. They asked what I thought of it, I thought it would be a perfect way to start the rest of our lives together."
"I love you, you know that right?" Rory told him while kissing him.
"And I love you. Now before we jump, you should get changed." Logan told her while guiding her towards a tent.
"We're jumping?" Rory asked.
"Of course we are. You're not scared are you?" Logan asked.
"I'm not scared, it has just been a while." Rory answered while into the tent.
There on the bed, laid a blue and white box. Rory opened it and there laid a dress, almost like the one she had worn so many years ago.
"I will never understand how they do it, recpicating the first life & death brigade event I ever attended." Rory thought to herself.
"You almost done Ace?" Logan said while sticking in his head through the tent opening.
"Almost. I don't understand it. How did they do this, where did they get this dress, almost identical to the one I wore ten years ago?" Rory asked while walking out of the tent.
"Actually I found the dress." Logan confessed.
"I knew it, you did have something to do with this." Rory said while lightly punching Logan's arm.
"What can I say, I love surprising you." Logan told her while grabbing her hand.
"You will pay for this later." Rory told him.
"Yes, ma'am." Logan said seriously.
They started walking towards the others, who were waiting by the structure.
"Are you really going to be jumping from that? That is like six floors high." Lorelai asked, unsure.
"It's more like seven floors, and we've done it before." Logan answered while looking at the structure.
"May I assume that you are jumping this time Finn? Or are you going to chicken out again?" Rory asked Finn while smiling.
"For the record, I did not chicken out. I got side tracked. Look at it this way, if I had jumped, then you would have missed out. So in a way I did you a favor." Finn answered.
"You chickened out and that is final. But I am grateful that you did, because that way I got to jump with Logan." Rory said while squeezing Logan's hand.
"Are we doing this thing or what?" Colin asked.
"Yes we are. Come on wife." Logan said, kissing Rory on her hand.
"You know, I'm still not a fan of ladders." Rory said while grabbing onto the ladder.
"They still scared the crap out of me to Ace." Logan said while beginning to climb.
A few minutes later, they had climbed all the way up. When they got all the way up, Colin, Stephanie, Rosemary and Robert waited on them.
"Welcome up, are you guys ready?" Robert asked.
"Are you guys jumping?" Rory asked, surprised.
"We couldn't let you have all the fun. We all wanted to jump, only Finn chickened out. Claimed he needed to take pictures of it." Colin answered.
"Typical Finn. Now let's do this before I chicken out." Rory said while trying not to look down.
"Let me just get the safety strap, and of course the umbrella. And the safety strap matches your dress perfectly." Roberts said.
"Just like it did 10 years ago." Rory said while smiling.
"Now do you trust me Ace?" Logan asked while opening the umbrella's and grabbing Rory's hand.
"You jump I jump, Jack." Rory answered while walking towards the ledge.
"In omnia Paratus." They all said simultaneously.
And with that, they jumped. As soon as they hit the ground, Logan turned to Rory and kissed her.
"I should have done that the first time, that we jumped.
