Chapter 5: Onto the Tropic Zone
Pikachu headed off towards the gate into the Tropic Zone. But before he could go through, the Eevee from earlier stopped him. "Wait! Don't go yet!" Eevee exclaimed. "Hey! What's up with you?" Oshawott asked. "I want to go with you. I want to help." Eevee said. "What?! But do you have any idea how dangerous this could get?!" Oshawott asked. "I know that it's dangerous. But it's what I want. To embark on an adventure to save our home." Eevee said. "It's probably a good idea. We'll need all the help we can get." Piplup said. "What do you think, Pikachu? Do you think Eevee can help us?" Oshawott asked. Pikachu answered yes. "Okay, fine. I know when I'm out voted. Welcome to the team, Eevee." Oshawott said. Pikachu, Piplup, Oshawott and Eevee cheered.

"Great. Eevee, let's go on ahead and see if we can find any of our friends. We'll see you later, Pikachu." Piplup said, going into the Tropic Zone with Eevee. Pikachu then started to follow, entering the Tropic Zone.
The Tropic Zone was a beautiful beach paradise. It consisted of several different cabanas, relaxation spots by the water and bridges to the smaller spots. Pikachu and Oshawott met up with Piplup and Eevee and had run into Chatot. "Hey, you made it to the Tropic Zone. So, I hear you're on a mission for Rillaboom. Well, since Blastoise is the Keeper of this Zone, I'm sure he'll want to hear about this. He's set up down at the far end of the beach. Good luck!" Chatot said before flying away. "Right. So, now we know where to find Blastoise." Oshawott said. "Wait. There's something going on over there." Piplup said. There was a Lotad and a Panpour talking.
Pikachu headed over to where Lotad and Panpour were talking. "Did you hear? Blastoise just went mental. He's wanting to seal up the whole Tropic Zone." Lotad said. "Oh, why must things be so cruel in the park now? Why can't we all get along?" Panpour asked. Suddenly, there was an earthquake. "Did you feel that? Was that an earthquake?" Lotad asked. "I think so. But what could've caused it?" Panpour asked. "I don't know." Lotad said. Just then, they noticed Pikachu, Oshawott, Piplup and Eevee. "Never seen you lot here before. Welcome to the Tropic Zone." Lotad said. "Thanks. We just came from Lake Town." Eevee said. "We haven't had visitors from the Lake Zone in quite some time." Panpour said. "Anyway, we're here to see Blastoise. We're on a mission with a message from Rillaboom." Oshawott said. "Oh, is that it? Well, Blastoise is over at the cape on the far end on the other side of that bridge." Panpour said.
With that said and done, Pikachu decided to do some exploring of the Tropic Zone. As he treaded across the beach, he came across the Lotad from earlier. He walked up to Lotad and talked to him. "There's an Attraction here that requires someone good at swimming. And luckily, there are some excellent swimmers here." Lotad said. "You want to play a Skill Game? How about a Battle?" Pikachu answered yes. "Okay. Let's get started!" Lotad said.
Lotad took his position and both Pokemon prepared to battle. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu dashed towards Lotad, who fired a Water Gun. Pikachu dodged the attack, powered up Thunderbolt and zapped Lotad with it. Being a Water/Grass-type, Lotad got double the intended damage from the Thunderbolt. Pikachu then dashed into Lotad while he was down. Lotad then recovered and fired another Water Gun. But Pikachu dodged it and hit Lotad with one more Thunderbolt, knocking his hit points down to 0 and giving Pikachu the win. YOU WIN!
Pikachu and Lotad met back up at where they started. "Wow! That was a great battle! You're quite good. Please, be my friend. Hopefully, you can meet our big brother too. All the Lotad here are now your friends." Lotad said, giving Pikachu 10 berries. Pikachu and Lotad cheered.

Just then, a Ludicolo appeared in the Tropic Zone.
Ludicolo has come to play!
After that, Pikachu set back off to explore more of the Tropic Zone. He looked out at the trees, the sky, the clouds and even the Wingull that flew through the air. As one of the Wingull landed, Pikachu walked over and talked to her. "I love the blue skies here in the Tropic Zone. I just wish Blastoise could be as happy as we are again someday." Wingull said. "Would you like to play Chase?" Pikachu answered yes. "Catch me if you can from down here." Wingull said.
Wingull flew ahead a few paces. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu chased after Wingull, dashing as fast as he could. Wingull really had an advantage when flying through the air. But with the speed Pikachu got from training with Furret, he was slowly catching up to Wingull. As Wingull slowly started to land, Pikachu finally tagged her, winning the Skill Game. YOU WIN!
Pikachu and Wingull then met up back where they started. "Wow! You're pretty fast on the ground. I'm telling all my sisters about you. All the Wingull in the Tropic Zone are now your friends." Wingull said, giving Pikachu 10 berries. Pikachu and Wingull cheered.

Just then, a Pelipper appeared in the Tropic Zone
Pelipper has come to play!
After that, Pikachu continued on with exploring the Tropic Zone. As he followed along the water, he came out to the ocean and there was a Wailord slowly swimming out in the open ocean area. Pikachu switched to Oshawott and Oshawott hopped into the water, swam out to Wailord and talked to him. "The Tropic Zone used to be so peaceful when Blastoise was best friends with the other Zone Keepers. And then one day, it all just went south. Hopefully, someone can get through to Blastoise and return things to the way they were." Wailord said.
Seeing that Wailord wasn't ready to be friends yet, Oshawott swam back to the shore. Oshawott switched back to Pikachu and Pikachu went back to exploring the Tropic Zone. Pikachu then saw Azurill and Azumarill's sister, Marill, walked up to her and talked to her. "You gotta love the Tropic Zone. It's so bright, the ocean is so beautiful. I just wish my sisters would come visit me." Marill said. "You want to play a Skill Game? Come on, let's Battle." Pikachu answered yes. "Alright. Prepare for a big splash." Marill said.
Marill moved out a few spaces and both Pokemon prepared for battle. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu dashed out and charged up his Thunderbolt. As Marill prepared to attack, Pikachu fired Thunderbolt and shocked her, dealing double damage with her being a Water-type. Pikachu then dashed into her while she was down. Marill then got up and fired Water Gun. But Pikachu dodged it, powered up his Thunderbolt again and let it loose on Marill, knocking her hit points down to 0. YOU WIN!
Pikachu and Marill met back up where they started. "Wow! That was pretty good. You know my sisters? If you ever go back to the Lake Zone, tell them I miss them." Marill said, giving Pikachu 10 berries. Pikachu and Marill cheered.

Just then, a Staryu and a Drednaw appeared in the Tropic Zone.

As Pikachu was about to head back out, he caught sight of the Panpour Lotad was talking to earlier. He walked up to Panpour and talked to him. "That earthquake was sure rough. But it didn't seem natural. I wonder if Blastoise caused it himself." Panpour said. "Say, would you like to play a Skill Game? I'd like to Battle." Pikachu answered yes. "Great. A chance to stretch my legs." Panpour said.
Panpour moved out a few spaces and both Pokemon got ready to battle. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu dashed for Panpour and prepped up his Thunderbolt. Panpour fired Water Gun. But Pikachu jumped to dodge the attack and shocked Panpour with Thunderbolt. Since Panpour was a Water-type, the Thunderbolt did double the usual damage. Pikachu then dashed into Panpour. Panpour recovered and fired another Water Gun. Pikachu dodged the attack, powered up his Thunderbolt and hit Panpour with it, knocking his hit points down to 0. YOU WIN!
Pikachu and Panpour met back where they started. "That was so much fun! Let's play again sometime." Panpour said, giving Pikachu 10 berries. Pikachu and Panpour cheered.

Just then, a Simipour appeared in the Tropic Zone.
Simipour has come to play!
Before Pikachu could continue, he looked over to the relaxing lake nearby. There were Staryu swimming about in it. Pikachu switched to Oshawott and Oshawott headed over to the lake. He jumped in and swam over to the Staryu and talked to one of them. "Gliding through the water is really good for the body. Blastoise used to do the same. Hopefully, he'll do it again." Staryu said. "I could go for a Skill Game of Chase. Like to play?" Oshawott answered yes. "Great! Let's get swimming!" Staryu said.
Staryu swam out a few spaces to get ready. 3, 2, 1, GO! Oshawott swam after Staryu with all his swimming speed. Staryu proved to be quite the fast swimmer. But Oshawott was just as fast and clever. As Oshawott began to catch up and Staryu began to make a turnaround, Oshawott turned and dashed into Staryu. YOU WIN!
Oshawott and Staryu met back up at where they started. "Well, you're quite the swimmer yourself. I'm quite impressed. The other Staryu are gonna like you. Now all of the Staryu are your friends." Staryu said, giving Oshawott 10 berries. Oshawott and Staryu cheered.

Afterwards, Oshawott swam back to shore and hopped out. Oshawott switched back to Pikachu and Pikachu dashed off to where he saw Ludicolo walking. He caught up to Ludicolo and talked to him. "Tra-la-la-la! I just love the bright sandy beaches! It's what makes the fun worth while!" Ludicolo said. "Say, you look like a fun-loving type. How would you like to play Hide-N-Seek?" Pikachu answered yes. "Great! I may like to dance, but I'm also a good hider." Ludicolo said.
Pikachu covered his eyes as Ludicolo went to hide. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu took off looking for Ludicolo. Then, just as he passed one of the palm trees, he heard Ludicolo's voice. Pikachu went over and saw Ludicolo trying to blend in with the tree. Pikachu walked up and went 'I found you!' YOU WIN!
Pikachu and Ludicolo met back up where they started. "Well, tra-la-la! You are so much fun! Please be my friend!" Ludicolo said, giving Pikachu 10 berries. Pikachu and Ludicolo cheered.

As Ludicolo walked away, Pikachu started to get tired from all the running around the Tropic Zone. So, he decided to take a break and save his progress. He took out his PokéPark Pad and hit the save button.
