It is a truth universally acknowledged that Vulcans are in complete control of their emotions. I will now relate to you a series of anecdotes which suggest this theory to be, to use a human colloquialism, utter bullshit. This is the story about how I, Commander William Darcy, fell in love with Captain Elizabeth Bennet.

This follows the trope of what if Elizabeth was not really Bennet. As is often the case with various fan fiction tropes, reality, facts and what can actually occur has to be suspended quite a bit while reading (I know I certainly suspended it while writing).

A series of short stories where we take a few more liberties with canon. What if situations in a person's life resulted in a serious character shift? What if there were situations in the past which might alter the entire course of a story? And what if non-canon characters interfered with the storyline as we know it? I will do my best to make each story at least believable. Enjoy.

What is in store for Elizabeth as the mistress of Pemberley? Will she be able to gain her husband's trust and affection? Major part of the story takes place in Pemberley. The story is WIP and HEA. What if Elizabeth was forced to accept Mr. Collins' marriage proposal? How will she manage her new and less than desirable life in Rosings Park? And what will she do when she meets Mr. Darcy for the first time? After all, she is a married woman. Regency AU.

In April 1815, the volcano Mount Tambora erupted in Indonesia. It affected the climate so that in 1816, there was cold and snow throughout the summer all across the world. What if that had happened 11 years earlier, prior to Bingley coming to Netherfield? **will be removed for publishing a month after completion**

Elizabeth must face a difficult family situation and a series of rumors that compromise her reputation and that of her family. (This story will be available until mid May)

Darcy's early setdown at Lucas Lodge provokes him to attempt better manners. Repentant, though still daft, Darcy invites the colonel to aid the rectification of his miss managed education.
