General pov; Jay was kidnapped a couple days ago the team figured out where he was being held captive, so they went to go get, while Jay himself cut himself free from where he was handcuffed to and tries to find a way out but also fights bad guy off and then all the sudden Hailey shows up
HU= jay are you okay
J= um I'm fine
HU=( into to radio ) sarge I got him
HV= thank God we will be to you guys in a second
HU= all right
J= hey Haley um angela you still downstairs can you go get her
HU= of course stay here
J= all right
Haley goes downstairs to check on Haley but once she gets downstairs angela Has a gun and shoots Haley in the shoulder
HV= haley what was that are you and Jay okay ( finds jay) hey jay where is Haley
J= she went downstairs to get Angela
HV= Adam Go check on her Kevin go with Adam
KA= all right boss
HV= you look beat up jay
J= yeah they hit me a lot but I didn't say I was a Chicago police officer

AR= Who are you down here

AR= ( into Radio) 10 110 one an officer has been shot send Amy wants now

HV= where is the ambulance

AR= she got shot in the shoulder it keeps playing

The paramedics check her over and get her all hooked up and ready to go

HV= ( over the radio ) dispatch this is Hank voight I need a clear path from my location to med Also to patrol cars escorting the Amy wants to meet because I have an officer shot

Once Haleys loaded up into the ambulance along with Adam the ambulance head towards Med with everyone else following behind them
About 15 minutes later they get to med
ML= all right police in the house what do we got
PM= we got a 30-year-old female officer with a gunshot to the shoulder her blood pressure is low and she is losing blood fast
ML= all right will you are up
WH= all right wait it's Haley where is my brother Adam what the hell happened
AR= um I don't know it all happened so fast
N= dr. her numbers are dropping
WH= All right Adam I'll take care of her why don't you go and wait in the waiting room I'll be out as soon as I can
AR= all right
Adam heads out to the waiting room as he gets there everyone else shows up
HV= Adam what's going on
AR= I don't know will Will is working on Her he said he will be out shortly to let us know what's going on
J= all right that's good well is working on her ( Coughs)
KB= jay are you okay
J= yeah I'm fine
HV= you need to get checked out
J= Hank I'm fine I promise

HV= can you make sure Jay gets checked over by a Doctor No matter how stubborn he is about saying that he is fine

KA= she is getting looked at and she has a Guard with her

Everyone sits down in the chairs and weight on news and either will about Haley or Maggie about Jay about 2120 minutes later will finally comes out to let everyone know what's happening

WH= oh no she is not dead but right now she is in surgery with marcel it was scary for a second

J= I have no clue I somehow had enough strength to fight with the one bad guy and get myself we from where I was handcuffed and then find another bad guy and Haley showed up
WH= but how did Haley end up shot
J= Well since angela Was still down in the basement I have her go and check on her and next thing I knew Haley was shot
WH= why would she get shot
J= okay you remember about that Marcus West case that I was working a few weeks ago that I thought he was the one who did the crime so I put him in county to get her to talk
WH= oh yeah oh he turned up that and he actually didn't do the crimes right
J= Oh yeah well over the last few weeks to make it up to his wife and child I have been teaching his little boys some baseball
WH= Oh man J you can't forgive yourself for what happened can you
J= no I can't that's how I am
WH= yeah that is why you are a very good cop

J= she also would be proud of you too anyways angela The wife I guess took the bad men's drugs to help pay for things that she need to pay for but the bad guys wanted to drugs back so they kidnapped her first and then I guess since they had been watching her and saw me with Her and the little boy they got me always
WH= because they think you know something
J= exactly when the kidnappers kept coming down every couple hours to see if either of us knew anything and we didn't answer then but at one point I got her to tell me what's going on and then I told her I was a cop
WH= which poly wasn't a good idea in the long run
J= No it wasn't because I was finally able to break free white when a bad guy came down I got him on the floor and ran upstairs to get some help for the both of us and that's when Haley shut up and I had Her go check on angela and when she did
WH= she got shot
J= I guess she was really aiming for me since I'm the reason her husband and her son's father was dead
WH= that's no excuse jay
J= I know I told her that
WH= ( pager goes off) well I guess they need me for something are you okay right now
J= Yes I am I will just go sit in the waiting room to wait on the news about Haley

Jaco out to the waiting room to sit with the unit while Will goes to check on other patients
Haley's pov: A couple days ago I noticed Jay was acting a little distant after work So I decided to follow him one day turns out he was hanging out with Marcus West wife and his child I want him to be careful around them but I guess he didn't listen because next thing we know he ends up not showing up for work and we soon learn that he was kidnapped by some drug dealers that where after angela . After a couple days we finally found the location on where Jay and angela were found the only way to get inside was the small hole so I had to be the one that went through it. Once I found Jay in my life that he was okay I want to go down to the basement because he asked me to next thing I know I get shot in the shoulder then everything goes black after that I can't remember anything because now the next thing I know I am waking up in a hospital bed
CM= hey there detective welcome back
HU= hey what happened to me
CM= well you got shot and I had to do surgery on your shoulder but you did pretty well
HU= all right that's good
CM= so I have something to ask you
HU= OK what's up
CM= so as you know we always do all the bloodwork to make sure everything is good before we go into surgery
HU= oh yeah
CM= well it turns out that you are pregnant so my question is did you know you were pregnant at all
HU= wait are you serious I'm pregnant
CM= so based on that reaction I'm guessing you didn't know that at all
HU= no I didn't I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms people always talk about
CM= some people don't really have the signs that shows that they're pregnant so that's totally normal
HU= all right do you know how far along I am
CM= no we don't but I can send in someone to do an ultrasound to see about that
HU= that would be
CM= well while you do that I'll go tell your team you made it through surgery and you're good
HU= all right and can you please not tell them about the baby thing just yet
CM= of course that is more your business to tell anyways see you in a few minutes
Marcel leaves me alone to my thoughts I can't believe I'm pregnant and I just got shot it's crazy while we're so close to tell the team that I made it through surgery I get ready to have an ultrasound
UT= Hailey Upton

Once a ultrasound Tech lady leaves I start looking over the picture she gave me and start thinking about The last time I had sex with somebody and it all sudden hit me who the baby's father is
CM= ( knocks) hey I'm back
HU= hello dr. Marcel

CM= so did everything go okay with ultrasound to find out how far long you are
HU= yes I did I am 12 weeks along
CM= wow that's cool you're past the danger zone now
HU= oh yeah so how did it go with the team
CM= it went well they asked if they could come back to see you but I helped them off until I talk to you first so are you ready to have any visitors
HU= well not really but I do need to talk to only one person right now
CM= okay Who is it that I need to send back here to talk to you

marcel goes and gets Adam for me I can't believe I'm getting ready to drop this bomb shell on him like this about five minutes later
HU= hey Haley Marcel said you wanted to talk to me
HU= yes I do please sit down
AR=all right( he does) so what's up
HU= so I know we broke up about two months ago right

HU= so remember that one night we started to drink and other things happened

We continue talking for a few more minutes we just not so anyone for at least a few days and then Adam goes to get everyone else so they can see me. A couple days later I am able to get out of the hospital
Adam's pov; The last couple days have been crazy from Jay getting kidnapped the unit trying to find him and when we found him things took a turn meaning that Haley got shot in the shoulder by anagela Who wanted to shoot Jay because he's responsible for her husband's s death, she luckily made it through surgery but then a bombshell was dropped where she was pregnant and I am the father, i'm still in shock when we were together I cared about her so much I think when we were breaking up I started to really fall in love with her so the last few days I've been thinking about what I want and I think now that I know what I want I should go to Haley and talk to her about it so I do ( at Haley's house)
HU= ( knocking ) hold on I'm coming ( opens the door) oh hey Adam
AR=. can I come
HU= of course you can ( let's him in)
AR= so how have you been feeling
HU= my shoulder still hurts like a bitch but it gets better
AR= that's good to hear how about the...
HU= the baby
AR= yes that
HU= well I haven't been sick so that's good but I started to feel nauseous towards certain foods now so that sucks
AR= oh boy I bet you can't have coffee
HU= oh no I can't which sucks but now I have been sleeping a lot
AR= well good thing you are taking medical leave or else she wouldn't be a good detective at work
HU= yeah that's a good point so what are you doing here
AR= so ever since you told me about us having a little baby I haven't been thinking about what I've wanted like with this baby and with you
HU= what do you mean with me and the baby
AR= I want to be involved with this baby like go to every appointment
HU= of course I didn't expect anything less from you Adam
AR= and for me and you
HU= what is there to talk about
AR= so I think if we didn't wake up a few months ago we would be good together Haley
HU= what in the world are you talking about
AR= i'm saying that if we didn't wake up I would had said I was falling in love you and that is what I have been thinking about is how much I miss being with you I am completely in love with you Haley Ann upton being with you has changed me for the better you have made me a lot more happier than I ever thought so I want us to be together like a couple and family
HU= I don't know what to say
AR= just say yes
She starts to think about what Adam just said for a few minutes
HU= all right let's do
AR= wait really
HU= yes really Adam Robert ruzek i'm in love with you too
AR= I love you Haley
We kiss and start enjoying our life together as a couple and soon to be family. About six months later we welcome a baby boy named Landon Robert ruzek.
Authors note: so the timeline if you couldn't figure out was a couple months after Haley and Adam broke up and she finds out she's pregnant instead of it being Kim is pregnant, I like Adam and Haley together to be honest yes I still like him and Adam together but when Adam and Haley work together I actually like Haley a little better. . I hope you like my little one shot than I did about being the turn of events instead of Jay getting shot haley got shot.
