Chapter 9 - Plans for Invasion - Part 2
Convenience Store
As the doors from the convenience store open up, two figures emerge from it a man of brown hair with a black jacket and a woman or purple hair with a red jacket and black pants carrying some bags.
"So?" - Kyo
"So what?" - Athena
"So what do you think about this mess? The whole situation with this other earth?" - Said Kyo as both he and Athena walk towards the Yata mansion
"I-I really don't know what to say, Kyo." - Athena
"I don't blame you... This whole thing is very confusing." - Kyo
"Have you hear about her?" - Kyo
"Oh her... Athenea Asamiya... From what Chizuru's guests say she was an evil woman." - Athena
"A monster who enjoyed to torture other people and saw herself as a goddess... " - Say Athena unable to see herself doing the type of stuff her counterpart from the other earth had done.
"They say she once killed all the people in a stadium after a concert just for fun." - Athena
"... I-I don't know what to said about that." - Said Kyo feeling surprised
"From what I was told, she was killed here on our earth when the Inferno Force first entered to our world." - Athena
"Well I suppose we will never meet her now." - Kyo
"To be honest... I'm glad for that!" - Said Athena with a serious face and a cold tone
"Athena..." - Kyo looked back to her as she looks at him not showing any remorse from what she said about her counterpart
"I think we should stop talking about her." - Say Kyo noticing Athena's not so happy look when thinking about Athenea
"What's your opinion about this Kyosuke Kusanagi?" - Asked Athena suddenly changing the conversation
"What a way to turn the tables, eh? From what I hear he was a power hungry bastard who killed his own father." - Commented Kyo in a not so happy tone
"He killed Mr. Saisyu?!" - Athena
"Yes, from what I heared he was taken into custody after his little visit to our world and was sended to prision... He should had died." - Kyo
"I see none of us really have anything else to say about our counterparts..." - Athena
"... Yes. You know I never saw him like this." - Kyo
"Who, your dad?" - Athena
"He is certainly enjoying having meeting with his old rival." - Kyo
"Or well the counterpart of his old rival." - Kyo
*Crash* - Suddenly a woman of black hair with a purple streak gets in the middle of both fighters pushing them away
"Hey! Why did you did that?" - Asked Kyo surprised by the strange rude behaviour of this woman
"Oh sorry, but I have some hurry and you two seen to be taking to much space from the sidewalk..." - Said the woman in a strange angry tone towards both Kyo and Athena leaving both surprised and without much words as they see her continue walking with some hurry in the street. Losing herself in the horizon.
"... Geez, what's that girl's problem?" - Kyo
"Athena?" - Kyo realized Athena stayed in silence after this woman speaked
"Hey, Athena?!" - Called Kyo again
"Ah... Sorry Kyo, is just that there was something strange about that woman's chi..." - Athena
"... Do you think she is from this other earth?" - Kyo
"I really couldn't tell you Kyo..." - Athena
Some streets close to Kagura's state
"(Those two bastards!)" - Thought the strange black haired woman with a purple streak on the hair as she hides in an alley close to the street where Chizuru's mansion is.
"(Oh so they think I'm dead, eh? They think I was killed so easy by that piece of metallic junk with legs? They were lucky that time... They may had got rid of my mortal body but I, Athenea Asamiya! Descendant of the goddess Athenea can't be killed so easy... Sure I was stuck in that awful hellish place for a while but my Psycho power is unmatched and it wasn't long enough before I could return to the world of living as pure psychic energy.)" - Thought the infamous Athenea Asamiya
"(But there's only a limited number of things one can do as pure energy ghost... I had to learn how to take control of someone else's body in order to live again fully... Yet this body is useless!)" - Athenea looks at her hands and legs with a desperated look
"(This pathetic body would desintegrate if I were to use the tiniest bit of my enhanced Psycho power... I'm restricted to not be able to do anything... At least for now.)" - Athenea raises an eyebrow as she sees Kyo and Athena walking pass the alley where she was
"(Now that I had found her... Hehehehe! That little goody two shoes counterpart of mine will serve me. But not yet... I want to investigate what's this situation they mentioned regarding the clan Yagami?)" - Athenea walks out of the alley seeing Kyo and Athena enter inside Kagura's state
Kagura's state
"Hey what is going on?" - Said Kyo as he and Athena enter in the mansion seeing everyone reunited but for their surprise they see Chizuru and Elisabeth restraining Maki and Iori Yagami
"You damn snake! You and your miserable clan are nothing but backstabbers who don't deserve our help!" - Said Maki being restrained by Elisabeth
"Stupid witch! You're lucky this fight didn't continued further... I would have sended you back to hell easily!" - Said a very angry Iori being holded by Chizuru
"Iori! Maki! Stop this fight!" - Chizuru
"(If both keep acting like this between each other, things are going to become complicated for me.)" - Thought Chizuru
"Hmph! You don't need to hold me back anymore, Kagura. I'm not an animal... Unlike your sister." - Said Iori recovering his composture
"Who is that woman who looks exactly like Chizuru?!" - Kyo
"It seens Maki and Iori won't be able to get along..." - Said Athena
"(Maki?)" - Hearing the name Maki does make a bell ring in Kyo's head
"Me an animal? HA! You and your clan are the backstabbing animals here, Yagami!" - Maki
"That's enough Maki!" - Chizuru
"Hmph!" - Maki becomes silent after hearing Chizuru
"(It is clear for me that you treasure this link with Yagami, sister... )" - Thinks Maki calming down as she is recovers her composture too
"..." - Both Maki and Yagami stare at each other with intense hate with Chizuru standing in between the two heirs with concern
Sewers of Tokyo
"When are they going to appear?" - Asked a member of the Yata clan with glasses to a Kusanagi clan member
"Sorry for keep you waiting, guys." - Say a woman with a strange fox mask accompanied by a blonde man and a man of brown hair with a pony tail.
"So this is the place that connects with your world?" - Said a voice coming from the shadows as two women, one of blonde hair and one of red hair walk in meeting with the three strangers and the three clans members
"After you!" - Said the blonde man as Vice and Mature climb the stairs with both woman opening the cover of the sewer to see what was a very decadent, ruined and destroyed city of Tokyo.
"What happened here?" - Mature
"It looks like an earthquake passed through this city..." - Vice
"A war in fact.. You see this is the reason why we started to look upon your world in first place..." - Said the member of the Yata clan with glasses as he and the two woman come out of the sewer
Unknown to them two strange shadows are seeing watching their arrival on this earth
"We need to advice our mistress about this!" - Said one of the shadows surprised to see the two wowen
Kagura's State
*Tick* - A pair of scissors cutting are heared as we see Maki cutting her hair on the bathroom of the mansion with her finishing doing the lasts cuts
"(With this look people shouldn't have trouble to difference me from my sister.)" - Thought Maki looking at her new short haired aspect
"Miss Maki." - Said Haru knocking on the door of the bathroom
"The dinner is ready!" - Haru
"Thanks for the advice, Haru. I'll go in a second." - Maki stares at herself in the mirror for some seconds
"(Being alive again... It feels to surreal. I won't mess things up... I'll help my sister in anything I can.)" - Maki
As everyone sits to eat alongside Chizuru, Maki appears for Yagami's distaste
"Hello everyone! I know a few of you for that night but some of you not." - Maki
"You must be Mr. Kusanagi is a pleasure to meet you and this must be Kyo!" - Said Maki greeting Saisyu and Kyo
The dinner continues with everything going calm or at least that's what it looks
"..." - Chizuru turns around to see her sister finished eating leaning her head on her hand staring with two hateful eyes at Yagami
"..." - She turns around to see Yagami looking at Maki with his arms crossed looking back at Maki with hate
"(Maki knows my secret... That certainly added more fuel to the burning hatred she has for Iori and his clan. She always was like this... Ever since our dad told us about the legacy of our clan when we were younger.)" - Chizuru
"(I gave Maki another chance but I can't control her behaviour and hate towards the Yasakani... That's part of her.)" - Said "Gabriella"
"(And that's the main reason why she was trapped in that place all those years... My sister was never able to rest in peace...)" - Thinks Chizuru still feeling regret over that fateful day when Maki died
"(I'm sorry, Chizuru.)" - Gabriella
"Hey, Chizuru. Who do you think is behind this attacks towards Joe, Mai and Andy?" - Asked Saisyu also seeing the burning hatred in Maki and Iori's eyes
"I don't know, Saisyu. Mai and Andy told me a hooded man and a woman with a fox mask attacked them but I don't know who could they be, Joe's attacker took advantage of the night to attack and he was unable to see this man's face." - Chizuru
Suddenly in that moment two women enter in the mansion with a concerned look
"Chizuru!" - Scream the Vice and Mature from the same earth where the Yagami clan come from
"Yes?" - Chizuru gets up
"Can we talk to our mistress?" - Mature
"... Sure." - Said Chizuru walking with the two women outside
"So, for what Chizuru told me you're the patriarch of the Kusanagi clan, Saisyu?" - Maki
"Yes. Kyo was supposed to be the head but he clearly isn't ready yet." - Said Saisyu not happy with his son
"I told you about that the other day. I'm just have other stuff on my head right now..." - Kyo
"Sure, we both know you have always been a lazy bum Kyo." - Saisyu
"Don't start again with that, Old Man!" - Said Kyo seeing where the conversation was going
"..." - Maki stays silent looking at both Kusanagis angry with each other
"And well, I suppose now that you're back that means you will be able to reclaim the title of the head of your clan, Maki." - Saisyu
"Actually, I haven't talked about that with Chizuru yet. I'm not ready for my return to be announced to the world yet. It would raise tons of questions." - Maki
"Haven't you thought about maybe introducing yourself as the third missing sister of Chizuru?" - Shingo
"Third missing sister?" - Maki
"Yeah I'm sure people would be able to understand that more easily than you being brought back thanks to Orochi." - Shingo
"..." - Maki stays in silence
"Hey, Maki can I ask you a question?" - Asked Shingo with a sly smile
"Yes?" - Maki
"What do you call a can opener that doesn't work?" - Asks Shingo as Kyo just can't help but facepalm
"I-I don't know?" - Maki
"A can't opener! Hehehehehe. You get it? A can't opener!" - Shingo
"Oh this is just embarrassing." - Said Kyo in a low tone
"...Pfttt..." - Maki slowly starts chuckling
"Heheheheh... HAHAHAHAHAHA! A can't opener! HAHAAHAHAHA... A can't opener!" - Maki starts bursting in laughter with her covering her mouth trying to stop her laughter
"..." - Iori
"(Despite having the body of a adult woman, she probably still has the mentality of a twelve year old girl... )" - Thought Athena with a smile looking at Maki
Gardens of the Yata Mansion - Kagura temple
"Are you two sure about that?" - Asked Chizuru now being controlled by Orochi
"Yes, our counterparts from this world seen to have formed some kind of alliance with the three clans. We don't know when but they surely plan to come here sooner or later." - Mature
"You're right. That three cursed clans have been chasing my power for ages and is just a matter of time before they decide to invade this place to ge to me." - Orochi
"I suppose the rumors about them having new leaders after what happened to the Inferno Force was true." - Vice
"But I don't get it. Maki Kagura is in prision. Who could be leading the three clans now?" - Mature
"Whoever their new leaders are, they mustn' be underestimated. Mature and Vice, you're free to go. Keep me informed if soemthing happens. Me and Chizuru will try to think in something to do to avoid the situation of becoming worse." - Orochi
"Yes, our Mistress!" - Mature and Vice
*slussh* - A strong wind suddenly hits the trees with two crows leaving the top of the trees flying away as Chizuru recovers control of her body and her hair returns to her normal color
"That bad feeling I had before... Is back!" - Chizuru feels something bad in the air as she returns to the mansion with the head full of questions
The two crows continue flying as they arrive suddenly to the top of a building with them landing in the hands of a strange shadow
"So that's how things are going..." - Said the strange shadow
"Kagura and his new friends are full of doubts they think they have everything controlled but we will see about that when the moment of truth comes." - Said the strange shadow
Kagura state
"Sister, are you sure about this?" - Maki
"I'm sure of it, sister. This invaders are planning something an invasion probably and we can't stay with the arms crossed." - Chizuru
"They want the power of Orochi. And they aren't going to give up so easily." - Chizuru
"Listen. Everyone of you is free to go or stay if you want. If you don't want to get involved with this, I would respect that but I'm also would appreciate if you helped me and the Clan Yagami to fight against these invaders from attacking our world." - Says Chizuru to everyone in the room
"We aren't going anywhere, Chizuru. We will help you." - Say Kusanagi with Saisyu noding
"You can count on us, Chizuru." - Said Athena backed up by Kensou and Master Chin.
"Me too." - Kim
"You can count on us, Chizuru." - Said Ryo
"I have the feeling this woman of the fox mask is working with these invaders. I plan to adjust counts with her, so I'm staying." - Mai
For Chizuru's surprise most of the fighters in the room decide to stay by her side
*Slam* - The door of the mansion is opened as everyone sees Yagami walking to the outside
"..." - Chizuru closes her eyes in sadness taking a deep sigh understanding Yagami isn't taking part in this
"(Chizuru...)" - Maki sees the sad disappointed look on her sister's face and grabs her shoulder as both look at each other
"Do not worry, sister. I'll stay by your side!" - Maki
"Alright. This is how we are going to do this." - Chizuru
Kagura state - Gardens
"..." - Yagami walks to the main gate of the Yata mansion with him touching the door about to leave when suddenly
"What's wrong?" - Maki
"Running away? Don't tell me you're afraid of them?" - Maki
"..." - Yagami proceeds to open the gate
"Grr... Why? Why is it that when my sister needs you the most you decide to run?" - Maki
"She doesn't need me!" - Iori
"What? What the hell are you saying?!" - Maki
"She is the host of Orochi. Why would she need my help? When she has Orochi's power." - Iori
"Don't you understand it? Is precisely Orochi's power what we need to protect from them!" - Maki
Yagami puts one of his feet outside with him preparing to leave not planning to listen to Maki anymore
"..." - Maki
"WAIT!" - Maki screams
"What do you want?" - Iori
"Don't cross that gate yet..." - Maki
"Stay with us and... And I'll help you with that thing you wanted Chizuru's help for." - For Maki it was hard to swallow her pride, she knew she would regret this but know Yagami's presence would certainly give her sister more confidence somehow and knowing the secret of her sister she decided insist Yagami to ask him to stay
"..." - Yagami retreats closing the gate in front of him as he slowly turns around looking back at the certainly angry Maki
"I'll stay for now... But you better keep that part of your promise!" - Says Iori walking to a tree
"(Bastard!)" - Maki
"(How I wish I could tear you apart! Why, dear sister?! Why do you had to have feelings for this Yasakani bastard?! WHY?!)" - Maki grinds her teeth looking at Yagami leaning his back to a tree
Later that night
"Thanks, Chizuru. You have no idea how much this means to us." - Toshio grabs a folder
"Is the least I can do for you, Toshio. This property used to belong to a uncle. But it has been abandoned after he passed away and now I suppose it should work as the home of you and your clan while you stay here." - Chizuru
"Are you sure our entire clan will be able to live here?" - Asked Shizuka Yagami
"Trust me, Ms. Yagami. Is a big place. You will see once you arrive there." - Chizuru
With the papers of the property now in his hands, Toshio walks to the outside of the Yata Mansion staring at the starry sky
"What's wrong?" - Saisyu
"Oh hello, Saisyu!" - Toshio
"So are you nervous for this battle?" - Saisyu
"Actually, I don't gonna participate in it." - Toshio
"What? Why not?" - Saisyu
"I talked with Mr. Sakazaki... We will return to my world. To search for the prisioners the Yasakani have." - Toshio
"Wait a moment, you and Takuma are going to your earth to save who I think you're going to save?" - Saisyu
"That's right, Saisyu. Toshio told me the last report one of his clan members gave him reported she was still alive." - Said Takuma approaching both men
"But aren't you going to help Chizuru and your son?" - Saisyu
"I doubt they would need our help. Miss Kagura already gathered a group of powerful fighters. I trust them will help Miss Kagura." - Toshio
"Does your sons know about this?" - Saisyu
"They wanted to come with me but if she is alive I doubt she would be ready to see them in that moment, especially after what the counterpart of my sons did to her. And they understood that." - Takuma
"... At what hour are you planning to leave?" - Saisyu
"This morning." - Toshio
"I'll go with you two!" - Saisyu
Kagura State - Guests Room
"She really was a maniac. So she had you three four weeks chained to a giant piece of wood?" - Reas
"Yes... It was all part of her plan. She wanted to weakened us to brainwash us into becoming her followers. She had been doing that with teh people she kidnapped from the homeless shelter." - Kyo
"That sounds terrible. I'm so sorry for what my other me did to you three." - Said Reas apologizing for the madness of her counterpart who Kyo and Athena had the pleasure of meet.
"You really don't need to do that." - Athena
"Not matting what happened in the past. I'm happy you decided to stay." - Reas
"We know Chizuru needs out help." - Kyo
"Hey guys, don't you wanna hear something?" - Shingo
"NO!" - Answered most of the fighters
Meanwhile
Iori Yagami is seeing walking towards the gate of the Yata mansion
"(I'm sorry but the Mirror couldn't identify this man, Iori.)" - Said Chizuru in a disappointed tone to Yagami as he remembers the talk he had with her some moments ago
"..." - Approaching the gate suddenly Yagami feels a stare
"What do you want?" - Iori
"Nothing really." - Says Kyo walking to lean his back against a tree
"I just came to the gardens to take some fresh air after hearing another of Shingo's bad jokes." - Kyo
"..." - An awkward silence invades the night as both rivals just stand still for some moments
"Why have you been acting so strange ever since they showed up?" - Asked Kyo suddenly
"None of your business!" - Iori
"Is because of him? Seeing that man again must have been a shock for you..." - Kyo ignored Yagami's answer thinking it had to do with him seeing Toshio
"..." - Iori
"Hey, guys! What are you doing?" - Mature appeared alongside Vice
"Hey!" - Kyo
"(I still can't get used to this two happy good versions.)" - Thought Kyo feeling awkward when trying to have a conversation with the two Hakkesshu's counterparts
"You know, is a shame our boss isn't here. He would love to see a version of Tokyo that isn't in ruins." - Vice
"*Sigh* Yeah... I miss him." - Mature
"By coincidence are you two refering to Rugal Bernstein?" - Kyo
"Ah yeah! Our boss is such a lovely and classy man! He is such a kind soul and we really miss him." - Mature
"..." - Kyo
"(This whole situation with the backwards world is confusing. I just can't imagine a world where I'm a crazy bastard while Rugal Bernstein, the man who brainwashed my dad, murdered lots of people and wanted to kill me and my friends is considerated as a hero.)" - Kyo
"So, does your boss have any strange hobbies?" - Kyo
"Strange hobbies?" - Vice
"Yes, the Rugal I had the missfortune to meet had the tendency of keeping the corpses of his victims covered in cement as part of his collection." - Kyo can't help´but felt creeped out remembering this
"What? A collection of corpses?" - Vice
"That's disgusting! Our boss is a man of refined taste and he would never do such vile act as kill someone to cover his corpse with cement. He collects action figures and art." - Mature
Meanwhile
At the other side of the street where the Yata mansion is ubicated, in the home of Chizuru's neighbors a strange figure appears in the rooftop of Chizuru's neighbor's home
"..." - The strange hooded figure that attacked Yagami before looks at the gardens of the Yata mansion with him seeing Kyo talking with Vice and Mature
"Kyo. He just acts just like I remember him." - Said the strange hooded man seeing Kusanagi telling Vice and Mature about his first meeting with Rugal
Suddenly the strange hooded man's eyes can't help but look at the lights turned on in Chizuru's room as he is able to see through the window the inside of the room
"..." - The stranger sees Chizuru finishing changing and preparing to sleep sitting in her bed.
"... Chizuru." - The Strange Hooded man whispers Chizuru name with his strange voice full of echo in a sad and regretful tone
"I'm happy to see you're well. You look beautiful as ever... Oh how I wish I could talk with you again. How I wish I could see you smile towards me once again. How I missed you for what has been an eternity!" - Strange Man
"Chizuru..." - Strange Man
Meanwhile
"Yes, I'll tell her." - Andy finishes a call
"Who was it?" - Mai
"Is Terry. He is arriving tomorrow here. I told him what was happening and he is going to help us too." - Andy
"Is he coming alone?" - Mai
"No, he said Tizoc would come with him. He had to leave Rock with Mary for now." - Andy
"Hey, so can I go with you two tomorrow?" - Hokutomaru
"No! You must return to the dojo and clean it, this is too dangerous for you Hokutomaru." - Mai
"I hate you, Mai!" - Hokutomaru
Meanwhile
"Yes, I remember that time. Those were the glory days." - Chin
"Indeed they were." - Tung
Suddenly a strange espectral figure enters in the the room where Tung and Chin were with both recognizing this figure
"Chizuru?" - Chin
"Yes it is I. I'm sorry for entering without permission but I think I can't sleep." - Chizuru
"Well, is a good thing you're here. Chizuru, years ago I meet a man with the name Yata and I wanted to ask you if he was related to your clan?" - Chin
"A man with the name Yata?" - Asked Chizuru interested
"Could you describe him to me?" - Chizuru
"He was tall, with long black hair, a scar in his left cheek and had glasses. ´Probably had 20 at that time. A man of fine manners must say and his fighting style certainly was very reminiscent of yours." - Chin
"That-That does sound like him..." - Chizuru
"That does sound like you're describing my dear father Shisui Kagura." - Chizuru
"Our father you mean." - Says Maki entering in the room having heared the conversation
"That man certainly had a thing for getting into trouble." - Maki
"Maki!" - Chizuru
"Don't lecture me. You know is truth." - Maki
"I know you still mad about him pushing you to become the head of the Yata clan and all the hard training you went under by him but you can't harbor resentment towards him, sister. He loved us both!" - Chizuru
"Keep telling yourself that, sister. If he had been alive perhaps I wouldn't had died." - Maki
"..." - Chizuru stays silent
"Maki. When I brought your soul back. I couldn't help but feel alot of hate and resentment not only towards your father but also towards the Yagami clan and Iori Yagami. I believe this intense hate your harbor is what made your soul not be pure and be stuck in limbo." - Orochi
"The Yagami might be angels from the world where you come from. But here they are nothing more than animals who should have gone extinct years ago." - Maki
"To tell you the truth I'm not even sure if I can trust in these supposed good Yagami clan members." - Maki
"DON'T TALK LIKE THAT ABOUT MY PEOPLE!" - Said Orochi in a high tone
"Unlike the Yagami clan you know. My people are trustful." - Orochi
"You know, Maki. Isn't good to keep harboring this hate towards the Yagami." - Tung
"Yes, I understand your reasoning but there's no point in living in the past and hold grudges against them. Especially with the current Heir of the Yagami." - Chin
"Maki, this is why you were unable to rest in the afterlife. Anyone of us can feel this burning hatred towards them coming from you and isn't healthy
"..." - Maki
"The Yasakani caused harm to our clan, we have to carry a responsability that was theirs. Their little pact with Orochi just made things hard for us... Dad knew this and that's why he pushed me to become the woman that I'm today." - Said Maki clearly expressing resentment towards Shisui Kagura
"Maki. Stop talking like that about our dad." - Chizuru
"He put pressure on you because he loved you... I used to be so jealous of the attention he gave to you at one point but I know he cared about us." - Chizuru
"You know, sister. Dad would be proud of you if he could see you right now but I don't think he would like to know your secret just like me." - Maki
"Now if you excuse me. I need to get some sleep." - Maki gets up when suddenly
*Ssshh* - A strange sound is heared in the gardens
"What was that?" - Maki
"I don't know but it comes from the gardens." - Chizuru walks out of her room with her and Maki decided to go to the gardens
"An intruder perhaps?" - Maki
"(No. This chi is familiar.)" - Orochi
When Maki and Chizuru go to the gardens they become static by seeing a priest in green clothes and a man of white hair with a black jacket turning around to see the Kagura sisters.
"So you must be the Kagura sisters." - Goenitz
"Grrr..." - Maki is unable to hold her composture seeing in front of her eyes the same man who killed her years ago
