"I want that refrigerator."
Ben scoffed, ignorant of the rest of the Home Depot.
"We can't afford that. "No, don't look at me like that —"
Something inside scratched. Rey stepped forward, reaching for the drawer.
"What's in this thing?"
She jumped back, opening it. A laugh.
"You're never going to believe this."
Ben's lips parted in confusion. "Is that a gerbil?"
"Oh, he's so sweet!"
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the second time this happened."
A nod as she stroked the noble creature.
"That's two times too many."
Rey shrugged. "I'm gonna call this a win."
