Smoke went out of the chimney as a bonfire was lit inside the house. A boiling kettle sits on top of it, long since painted black from being burned from fire every morning. Across that room laid her, jet ink hair splayed the white futon as her breathing was even. Inuyasha rested on the wall with his arms crossed on his chest, the sword secured between them yet his eyes darted at the said unconscious figure.

'Kagome'

He frowned, his claws digging on his red robe before he heard the mat covering the entrance were moved as someone entered. Turning towards it, he sees Sango enter holding a basin still wearing her uniform, he can smell her mixed emotions.

"Inuyasha, how is she?"

Shaking his head, his ears turning towards Kagome. Brown eyes watering as she saw her long lost sister still lying on that bed.

"Lord Sesshoumaru, called you Inuyasha. There's something he wanted to talk about."

Scoffing, Inuyasha got irritated for being summoned by his Ice Lord-bastard-of-a-brother. However, still stood up and faced Sango.

"Sango…"

Despite him calling her name, her eyes are still darting on their friend.

"I know, Inuyasha"

Nodding at her, before glancing one last time at Kagome and then, went outside.

Golden eyes looked around him, blending at his environment whilst remaining quiet. Strong gust of wind blew his way as leaves flew from the Sacred tree standing before him.

'Just like Bokuseno'

Raising his chin as he sniffed the air, catching the scent of his half-brother. His vision caught a particular familiar outfit he once saw from his father, before it landed on his front. Clawed fingers raise elegantly to tuck a strand of hair behind his pointed ears, before addressing his brother.

"Inuyasha"

"Keh!"

"Still lack of words, brother"

Locking eyes with his brother, he was met with an annoyed one.

"What do you want, Sesshomaru?"

Silence fell between them. Sesshoumaru turned to the Sacred tree, seeing the place his younger brother was once pinned.

"That woman…what is she?"

Side glancing at his brother, he saw his downcast look, his perked ears were folded on top of his head, and his hand grip the Tetsusaiga tight.

"I-I don't know…"

"Hn."

Huddled on the corner, weeping as he hugged his bushy tail tight.

"Mama, help me…"

His tears stained his cheeks as the edge of his eyes red from crying too much.

"Mama…"

It was already night, the moon glowing lighter, showering the village of Edo. A priestess walking down the stony road, on her back strap her longbow and quiver full of arrows. It was the night of the full moon.

Brown eyes strained in the dark, her ki surveying the village for the upcoming rampage of demons or ambush, her palm met in the middle as she prays to strengthen the barrier. Suddenly, the sound of a ring clanging behind her resounded the place, hearing the sound of footsteps nearing her.

"Kikyo-sama…"

Not facing the newcomer, she replied.

"Tell the others to prepare for battle, Miroku-sama…"

"What is this you speak of?"

Violet eyes looked at her black hair, frowning as he waited.

"That…" pointing at the mountain, Kikyo felt a miasma spreading on top of the mountain.

"Soon."
