A/N: How's everyone today? I would just like to start by saying we broke 120 views already. I want to thank anyone for Following/Favouriting/Reviewing. It means a lot to me especially considering I was gone for quite a while; it still amazes me people still read my story. Anyway, enough chit chat, I hope you enjoy today's instalment of Hello! My Name Is…

Humphrey's POV

Home. At last. However, being home doesn't seem to be a way to avoid school work. As expected, homework had been assigned. I decided that it would probably be a good idea to at least make a start on it, as I wish to not receive punishment from a teacher and my parents.

"Hey guys," mum said from the kitchen, "How was school?"

"Eh, it was alright," I said.

"Yeah it was fine," Charlotte added, "What's for dinner?"

"Just steak and roast potatoes tonight," she said.

"Okay. I'll be upstairs if anyone needs me," I said, making my way up to my bedroom. I flung the door open, threw my bag next to my desk and threw myself onto the bed, sinking into the mattress. I pulled out my phone to find a text from Kate.

K: Hey Humphrey

H: Hey Kate, you bored?

K: lol yea, how'd you know?

H: You're texting me.

K: haha clever, anyway have you started the social studies homework yet?

H: no. I finished the questions in class, why, you need help?

K: of course you finished in class. And yeah I was gonna ask if you could give me a hand.

H: yeah sure, just let me get my stuff out

K: ok

I set my phone down on my bedside table and emptied the contents of my bag onto my desk, eventually excavating my laptop and Social Studies book from the pile of contents. I put my laptop on charge and turned it on. Soon enough it booted up and I got on Discord and called Kate. 'Time to confuse myself trying to explain something,' I thought to myself with a slight chuckle.

A considerable amount of time later…

"See? That wasn't too hard was it?" I said, followed up by a chuckle.

"Yes, it was! You were even struggling to explain it!" She said laughing, bringing a smile to my face.

"Your laugh is the most adorable thing I've ever heard," I mentioned, still chuckling a little bit.

"No, it's not, shut up," she said timidly.

"Yes, it really is! It always puts a smile on my face," I said, trying not to choke on my words.

"Well, thank you, Humphrey. That's really sweet."

"You're very welcome, Kate," I said cheerfully, making her giggle slightly. It fell silent for a bit.

"There's some-," we both said simultaneously, followed by us sharing a chuckle.

"Please, you go first," she said over the Discord call.

"I've been meaning to ask you this for a while now…" I said hesitating.

"Yes?"

"Do you want to get lunch sometime with me?"

"I don't know, what's in it for me?" She asked giggling.

"You get to go lunch with the most spectacular human being you've ever met," I said chuckling more.

"You're on. How does Saturday work?" She asked.

"Perfectly. I'll see you then."

"Awesome. See you later Humphrey," she said, ending the call shortly after.

"That went surprisingly well," I said to myself, laying back in my desk chair.

"What went really well?" I heard Charlotte ask with her head poked through the doorframe, eventually pulling the rest of her body along with her.

"When did you get here?" I asked, a little startled as she was spying on me like that, the thought leaving as I remembered that she is my sister.

"When you were saying bye to whoever it was, speaking of that, who was it?" She asked, being nosey as usual.

I hesitated for a bit, "…Kate." Her eyes sparkled with ideas for teasing me more than she ever has before. 'Oh god,' I thought to myself, preparing for the attack.

"OH. MY. GOD," she said, basically screaming like a little girl, "You didn't ask her out, didn't you?!"

'Oh god,' I thought once again.

"No I didn't, now leave," I said, but she saw right through my lies. She then proceeded to squeal like an 8-year-old girl finding out she got a Barbie House set on Christmas.

"OH MY GOD YOU FINALLY ASKED HER! YOU FINALLY ASKED KATE OUT! DID SHE SAY YES?!" She was absolutely ecstatic that I finally asked Kate out. I've had a crush on Kate since I could even first remember, I just never really had the guts to say anything. But today, I finally decided to grow some balls and it worked.

"Yes, she did, now do me a favour and shut the door on the way out," I said, trying to shoo her out of my room but it was useless. 'It's gonna be an eternity before she leaves,' I thought to myself, groaning as I realised that it wasn't worth the energy to fight her, knowing full well that she would not leave.

The next day - Liam' POV

I arrived at school a little early today, not knowing Tuesdays were late starts. I wasn't entirely sure as to why to was a late start, but I was sure to remember it for next Tuesday. I just decided to go to the football field that was about one hundred metres or so from the main entrance of the school, so I had no trouble finding it. I walked out to find a couple footballs and a kicking stand on the side-line, 'might as well kick some field goals, haven't done it in a while,' I thought to myself. I grabbed the balls off the side-line along with the stand and set it up at the 15-yard line. Went for a kick and sure enough, it was horribly off. 'Yeah I'm pretty rusty,' I thought to myself with a little chuckle. Continuing to set up and practice kicking. Once I got into rhythm, I was making the field goals relatively consistently, so I decided to just move back a few yards. I missed the first couple but found my rhythm once again, making the kicks a little more consistently. I decided to move back a few yards again. By then some more people had arrived at school, however still not many though. A look at my watch revealed it was still about 45 minutes before the bell went, so I was very early to arrive indeed.

Not too long after, I started getting a bit bored but realised, I was making thirty yard field goals relatively easily. Considering I haven't played any form of football for a month or two, I was doing pretty well, and I was quite happy about it. I moved back a couple more yards and got into a rhythm again, until I missed one and starting making some more mistakes. I took a little break, as I had been kicking for probably a quarter of an hour now.

A couple minutes later, Humphrey showed up. I saw him walk onto the field and started making his way over to where I was setting up a new kick.

"Hey Liam," he said as I was setting up the ball on the stand, "I didn't know you played football."

"Yeah I played a little bit with my friends back in New Zealand, never did it seriously though," I replied, mostly focused on getting the laces on the ball lined up with the posts. I lined myself up for the kick and booted it, once again just barely making it through the posts.

"What positions did you play? Aside from kicker that is, I can already see you've got a leg on you," He asked, emphasising that last sentence.

"Mostly just offense. I didn't really play a specific position," I said, setting up for another kick.

"We've actually been looking for new players on the football team, try-outs are this Friday, you should tag along, I'm sure you'll make the team," He said as I kicked another one through the uprights.

"I've been kinda looking for new things to do so sure, why not. What time is it?" I said, pretty happy I have a fair chance of making a team for once.

"3:30pm, about 15 minutes after the bell goes on Friday. All I have to say is watch out for Garth," He said, as I started picking up the kicking stand. My ears perked a bit in confusion, having never heard the name before.

"Who's Garth?"

"He's the most selfish and stuck up guy on the team. He's a douchebag, to put it bluntly. He's the Quarterback, and all he knows how to do is run. He can throw, but he just never does. His stats last year were incredibly lop-sided. He should really be running back but nobody else tried out for Quarterback, so he got it," He scoffed.

"Yeah seems like a dick. I should try-out for his position just to piss him off," I laughed. Humphrey didn't laugh, which caused me to stop.

"I'm not gonna tell you what to do but consider it. It'll be good to have you on the team," He said after a short pause, putting his hand on my shoulder and smiling.

"Sounds good. You just wanna play catch for a little bit?" I asked, holding up the football, and receiving a nod from him as he chucked his back down next to mine. We spread outnwith about ten yards between us and just passed it back and forth as we continued to chat. Eventually, the bell rang, and we headed to class.

I started thinking about the try-outs again. 'I should do it. I need something to take my mind of things anyway,' I thought to myself in my head. It sounded like a good idea. I did enjoy it when I played it. It was very fun to play, and I would love to do it again, but it is pretty physically demanding. 'I'll just try out for anything and see how it goes.' I thought, and I was satisfied with the answer. I highly doubted that I would make it because of how little experience I have playing in a team, but it was worth a shot. I just sat in class quite excited for the coming Friday try outs.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed this chapter everyone and I'll see ya'll next time. Have a good day!
