Charlotte's POV

"...my god was I glad when he got kicked out of music. He never did jackshit," Liam said, taking a sip from his cup of tea, setting it down next to his plate.

"Yeah, I can imagine how annoying that would be," I said, propping my arm up on the table to lean my chin onto my hand.

"Trying to record your song when someone is running around the music room shouting, 'merry Craigslist' isn't the funniest thing," He said chuckling and shaking his head, cutting a bit of his eggs and toast off, mixing a bit of ketchup in between and biting it off the fork, "These are really good," He said, motioning to his half full plate, which the eggs on toast with some bacon on the side lay.

I nodded and said, "Yeah they really are. This is really the only bakery in town that cooks food like this. Usually most bakeries here just sell the likes of bread and pastries. It's really a cafe but they insist you call it a bakery."

He chuckled a bit and replied with, "I mean, it's not that I care. I could eat here everyday. Beats my brothers cooking."

"Oh good lord, I can imagine," I giggled out, taking the last sip of my coffee and setting down the empty cup. My pancakes had basically been not even touched yet. They still lay on my plate with the maple syrup soaking into them.

"Are you gonna eat your pancakes or are you just gonna keep staring at me?" He said, pointing to my pancakes with his fork and smirking at me. I felt my cheeks start to get hot and I quickly grabbed my knife and fork and dug into my pancakes, enjoying the sweet taste of the maple syrup. He chuckled and continued to eat his food, finishing what was left of it after a few minutes of silence between us.
He wiped his face off with a napkin, and set down his knife and fork on his plate. I soon finished afterwards too, having my serving size been a lot smaller than his.

"I can definitely say that I thoroughly enjoyed that meal," He said, laying back in his chair and patting his stomach.

I giggled at the remark and said, "I can definitely say the same. I am very well satisfied."

He pulled his phone out, looking at the time and saying, "Come on, I think it's time we leave," He said, putting his phone in his pocket then stacking the plates and utensils nicely on the table; setting the empty cups beside it. I pushed my seat back and stood up, grabbing my phone off the table and Liam standing up too. We had already paid when we entered as per the bakery's policy, so we thanked the server and left the building, heading out to the car.
We entered the car and sat down in unison, Liam looking into the centre console to drop his wallet into it, however, when he lifted his head up, we got locked with each others eyes. We both knew what was happening as we both stared into each others eyes deeply for a few seconds, then started leaning in towards each other. 'Is this really happening?' I thought to myself. My suspicions were confirmed when our lips made contact and stayed together. Everything inside my body immediately heated up upon contact, however, everything in my body relaxed, not wanting the moment to end; I was literally melting.
After a solid 30 seconds, we both pulled away from the kiss; a smile on his face and mine going red.

"Let's get you home," He said, smiling and turning the key in the ignition, the car roaring to life. I smiled as he backed the car out of the parking spot.
The ride home was relatively quiet as we both just enjoyed each others company, not needing to speak to make it enjoyable. Soon enough we arrived in my driveway after the short drive home.

"Welp, here we are. Home sweet home," He said, smiling and looking over at me.

"Thank you, Liam. Today was really nice," I replied, smiling ear to ear back at him.

"Yeah it really was," He said, looking down at the clock to show it was already 1pm.

"I'll see you later Liam," I said, leaning over the centre console and kissing him on the cheek, his smile growing larger.

"See ya soon Charlotte," He said, as I opened the door and got out. I shut the door and he proceeded to reverse out of the driveway, me waving to him as he left. I sighed and went inside.

"I'm home!" I shouted as I opened the door and walking in.

"Nobody cares!" Humphrey shouted from upstairs.

"Love you too, Humphrey!" I replied, chuckling. I walked into the living room to see mum and dad sitting on the couch watching a movie, "Damn, having a romantic time without me I see. I feel betrayed," I said jokingly.

"How was your date with Liam?" Mum asked, pausing the film.

"Woah woah woah, why did nobody tell me you were going on a date?" Dad asked before I could answer mum's question.

"Oh sorry hun, I forgot to tell you," Mum said, "Now how was he?" she continued, turning back to me. Dad rolled his eyes and turned back to facing the T.V.

"Well, I would be lying if I said it wasn't good," I said, smiling. She tilted her head to the side with a smirk.

"Well, what did you do?" She asked, still smirking.

"Well, we uh... we didn't do much," I replied.

"That sounds like a whole lotta crap right there," Dad said, snickering a bit. I rolled my eyes and left the living room.

Humphrey's POV

"DAMMIT!" I shouted, as I got killed in CS:GO after I nearly got an ace in the round.

"What is it?" Shakey said over the discord call. He wasn't playing with Salty, Mooch and I because his computer hard drive failed, so he was getting it repaired. However, in the meantime he was just using his phone to access discord.

"I nearly got an ace but I got fucking knife killed," I said as the screen spectated a teammate.

"It was amazing to watch," Salty said, almost pissing himself laughing.

"We need to do this more often. It's been a while since we've played together," Mooch said, which made me think. He was right. We rarely ever hung out or did anything together any more.

"Yeah you're right. We should hang out this weekend or something," I said, continuing to play CS:GO and getting killed basically instantly.

"Why don't we go to McDonald's or something?" Mooch said.

"Always has to be food with Mooch," Shakey said, getting a chuckle out of everyone.

"I have a better idea guys. How about, we just chill at my place and play PlayStation and just order a pizza or something. Ya know, just chill," Salty said, I nodded to myself liking the idea.

"I'm down," I said, waiting for the others to respond to the suggestion.

"Sounds good to me," Shakey replied.

"I'll come, only if I get a pizza to myself," Mooch said, causing me to laugh.

"Sure, you can have a pizza to yourself," I said, chuckling a bit at the same time.

"Good. Then I'm down," He said, bringing a smile to my face.

Liam's POV

I just kind of remembered I said I'd perform on Friday, and I hadn't picked a song. So there I sat, my1979 Fender F-25 Acoustic in hand, thinking of a song to perform. My dad bought me this acoustic when I was 14 for my birthday, and I loved it. The tone of the guitar was amazing compared to other acoustic guitars I've played. Granted, it was pretty cheap, but it's still a great guitar in my eyes at least.
A lot of my stuff was burnt in the house fire when I was 15, but somehow my dad's electric and my acoustic survived, my first electric, an Epiphone SG, not surviving. My dad's electric was an old Sunburst Gibson Les Paul. He loved Gibson. Gibson and Fender were his favourite guitar brands, in fact, his two most wanted guitars were a Gibson Les Paul, and a Fender Stratocaster. It had a few burn marks on it but I actually liked the look it gave it. Now that guitar sits on a stand in my room where I pull it out every once in a while and play it. It's a fantastic guitar and I absolutely love it.
Then there is my electric; a Jet Black Sterling John Petrucci Majesty. This guitar was amazing. I loved this thing more than I love myself if I'm being honest. I got it when I was 16 as a gift from my friends back in New Zealand and I absolutely loved it. It has a fantastic feel to it and it was my dream guitar for a long time. I think I went on a bit of a tangent there. I just love my guitars. They were my prized possessions and if anything happened to them I'd be devastated.
As I sat there pondering through possible songs to play, I cut my list down to a few different songs in mind; So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold, No More by Three Days Grace, Let It Burn by RED, or Seize The Day by Avenged Sevenfold. They were all songs that I knew well and could very well play with no issues on stage, plus I had already performed both the Avenged Sevenfold beforehand back in New Zealand, making it a tad easier.
I decided to listen to the songs and play along with them, trying to find ways to help me decide on a song to do, and after finishing all the songs, I still couldn't seem to pick, so I decided to try asking Charlotte, causing the following text conversation to ensue.

L: Hey Char, you got a minute?

C: Sure thang. Whatcha need?

L: I'm trying to think of a song to perform on Friday.

C: Oh yeaah, I forgot you

were doing that. Got any songs in mind?

L: Yeah but I can't decide.

C: Tell me them thennnn

L: [List of songs] which one do you think I should do?

C: I would personally either do So Far Away or Let it Burn. I can't decide from those two.

L: At least that narrows my options. Thank youuu xx

C: It's no problemo xx

So, Let it Burn or So Far Away, two very good options in my opinion. As I was playing the two songs and trying to figure out which to play, the next song in the queue auto-played. At first I was going to just click the back button, until I heard Corey Taylor's voice start playing through my headphones, playing a song I haven't listened to for months. I sat and listened as it played through the entire song, remembering the memories that sat within the song, a singular tear running down my cheek as I continued to listen.
At that very moment, I knew what song I was going to perform.

Snuff.
