Hi everyone!
I'm uploading a little bit later today due to some last minute plans, but I was so excited to share this chapter with you and knew I couldn't wait another week:)

If you missed the last chapter, Kaden and Kurt went on a date. Kurt wasn't sure how he felt about it, but managed to keep it out of his mind until closing night of the show, when he ended up kissing Blaine on stage! He officially told Kaden he wasn't interested, but can't seem to get Blaine out of his mind...

As always:

I do NOT own Glee or any of the characters

If you notice any grammatical errors don't hesitate to reach out!

I still have pages of this story saved, so let me know if you'd be interested in seeing more chapters in the future!

...And now for the chapter you've been waiting for...

"Are you going to mope around all day?" Gabe passed a bag of chips to Heather, who had made herself comfortable on the couch.

"I'm not moping. Just... avoiding confrontation." Kurt was busy studying. Well, pretending to study was more accurate.

"The ex?" Heather guessed, flipping through channels on the tv. "I thought you two were friends again."

"It's complicated. I thought we'd be able to put the whole cheating thing behind us but now... now I'm not so sure." Kurt flipped through his textbook, doodling in the margins of the pages. "I should've just quit the musical when I found out who I was playing. Then this wouldn't be happening right now."

"What do you mean? What's happening?" Gabe opened a can of beer with a crack, taking a sip. He'd just recently turned twenty one, and it was obvious he thought drinking was cool now.

"Nothing. I mean, Blaine's being annoying." Kurt rolled his eyes dramatically. "He keeps saying I kissed him. How crazy is that? You guys were there, you saw him kiss me. Right?"

Heather shifted uncomfortably. "Well... you both kind of leaned in at the same time. So technically it was both of your faults."

Kurt slammed his textbook shut, cradling his head in his hands. "I'm such an idiot, I should've pulled away or kicked him in the crotch or something. But no, I was too caught up in that weird trance to notice."

Heather paused mid chew. "Trance? What kind of trance?"

Kurt shrugged. "I don't know. It's like... like I can't think straight or focus on anything. And for some reason it always ends up with me and Blaine almost kissing. Or actually kissing in that case I guess."

Gabe snorted, trying to hide his laugh. "That doesn't sound like a trance to me. That sounds like a crush."

Kurt bristled at these words. "No, it doesn't. I do not have a crush on Blaine. That would be completely crazy."

Heather shrugged, finishing the chips. "Not really. If I could fall for this stupid goofball anything's possible."

Gabe kissed her on the head. "That's so sweet of you, honey. And frankly kind of offensive."

Kurt cleared his throat. "Not to ruin the mood, but we were talking about me, remember?"

"Right. You should tell him how you feel. Maybe he feels the same way." Gabe pointed out.

Kurt shook his head. "I don't like him, okay?" He stood abruptly, planning his beeline to the hallway.

"Not so fast." Gabe stepped in front of Kurt, preventing him from leaving. "We're not done with this conversation."

"I think we are."

"Kurt, Gabe might be right, you know. Ever since we brought up the whole crush thing you've been blushing like crazy." Heather said this carefully, unsure of how Kurt would react.

"I'm not blushing, it's just hot in here."

Gabe laughed. "That's what they all say. Why won't you just admit to yourself that there's a spark?"

Kurt obediently sat next to Heather on the couch, obviously tense about the whole topic. "I don't know how to. Let's say I kind of maybe sort of like Blaine. Theoretically." He added this last part quickly, not wanting to give the wrong idea. "How is it possible to love someone after they hurt you like that?"

Heather shrugged. "Love works in mysterious ways. I thought I was in love so many times, but for some reason none of my relationships were working out. Then I met Gabe." She paused to kiss her husband. "And I realized that the reason I couldn't fall in love with those other guys was because I hadn't met the one yet."

"I don't really believe in all that soulmate stuff. Are you saying that if you and Gabe for some reason never started dating you wouldn't have found someone else?" Kurt was trying to wrap his mind around this, not sure what to think.

Heather shook her head. "No, not exactly. I'm just saying that it can take awhile to find love, and sometimes when it does happen it's worth exploring."

Kurt paused to think about this. Could Blaine really be his soulmate? There was no way, not in a million years. They'd already broken up, it was impossible. But a part of him wanted to believe it, at least to some degree. Maybe Heather had a point, maybe the love he had for Blaine couldn't stop just because he wanted it to.

"Kurt? Are you okay?" Gabe asked, concerned.

Kurt gave a small nod. "Yeah. I think so." He stood without another thought, pulling on a pair of shoes.

"Where are you going?" Heather asked.

"To talk to someone. I'll be back soon."

Kurt's mind was cluttered as he made his way down the hallways of Juilliard. What was the number again? Was it 89 or 98? He couldn't remember. Frustrated, he turned right, pausing in front of the door. He could hear someone talking inside. Maybe this wasn't a good idea, maybe he should go. Just as he was about to turn around the door opened and a skinny boy with blonde hair was standing there. "Hi, can I help you?"

Kurt opened his mouth to speak. He hoped his voice was still working. "I'm looking for Blaine. Blaine Anderson."

The boy smiled. "I should've known, he's got tons of friends here now. I'm John, his roommate. Who're you?"

Kurt stared at John's outstretched hand before taking it and shaking it firmly. "I'm Kurt. An old friend."

John nodded, still smiling. Kurt was starting to wonder if he ever stopped. "Nice to meet you. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Blaine isn't here right now. I could take a message."

Kurt shook his head. "It's actually kind of important. Do you have any idea where he might be?"

John paused to think. "You know, he took some music with him. I'd check the auditorium. Or maybe the choir room."

Kurt nodded. "Thanks, John. Nice to meet you."

"You too!"

The door closed and Kurt began the walk to the auditorium. He spent most of the time going over what to say in his head. Should he apologize first for the outburst at Kaden's? Or maybe he shouldn't bring that up. This tug of war was still going on when he reached the auditorium, pushing through the double doors.

Empty.

Kurt felt himself lose a little bit of hope. Maybe this was a sign. He quickly got rid of these thoughts and continued down the hall to the choir room. He was a few doors away when the sound of music filled his ears. He felt his heart skip in his chest.

He approached the room quietly, peeking in. Sure enough, It was Blaine. He was playing the piano with his back to the door, slowly swaying with the music. Kurt recognized the song immediately- it was Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man."

He watched as Blaine finished the song, sliding off the bench and turning to leave. When he saw Kurt standing there he froze, clutching his music to his chest. "Kurt. I didn't know you were here. How long were you...?"

"Not long." Kurt cautiously stepped through the door. "You sound good."

"Um, thanks. I like to come down here when I'm feeling conflicted." Blaine confessed.

Neither of them moved for a while, the only sound in the air coming from the fan above them. Kurt bit his lip nervously. "Your voice fits that piece well."

Blaine shrugged. "I guess so."

Kurt felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. He wanted to hear Blaine say those words, that he'd sung this song because he wanted to be together.

But Blaine didn't do this. Instead he cleared his throat, acknowledging the awkwardness in the air. "I should go. See you around."

Kurt watched him begin to walk away. He had a choice to make- he couldn't put this off. It was now or never. "Wait."

Blaine paused, turning around. "What?" His voice wasn't friendly, but it wasn't mean either. It was unrecognizable to Kurt, which threw him off a little.

"I... I wanted to say something. To you. Now." He didn't know why his sentences were so choppy. "If you... have the time."

Blaine shrugged. "Okay... are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Well, pretty fine. Just... let's sit down." Kurt gestured to the piano bench, and soon they were both seated.

Kurt knew Blaine was waiting for him to speak, but he didn't know where to begin. "I'm really sorry. About what I said at Kaden's."

Blaine nodded. "Thanks. I'm sorry too, you were right. We were just acting."

Acting. Ugh. Why had Kurt said that? Now he'd look even dumber with what he was about to say next. "I asked Heather. We both kissed each other apparently. Not that it matters."

"That... makes sense." Blaine nervously drummed his fingers on the side of the bench. "Is that all?"

Kurt felt his heart rate speed up. "N-not exactly. I think... I think I figured out why I acted that way."

"Okay... why's that?" Blaine didn't seem at all fazed by Kurt's current position.

"It's because... I want to be strong. I want to get on with my life without needing to worry about the past, and I thought if I made myself believe that I didn't care I could move on. But I can't, because I realize now that I..."

"You what?" Blaine was starting to get nervous.

Kurt took a deep breath. It was now or never. "I have feelings. For you. And for some reason I was too ashamed to admit it." He stopped talking. There, he'd said it.

Blaine's mouth was open in shock. "You... you have feelings? Like... romantic feelings?"

Kurt swallowed nervously. "Yes." He said this so quietly it was barely audible.

Blaine nodded slowly. "Okay, so what do you want to do about that? Aren't you dating Kaden?"

"No, it didn't work out. I already ended it." Kurt sighed, eyes glued to the floor. "I have no idea what I want anymore."

Blaine moved over a little closer. "Kurt, you know I like you too. I never stopped. And I really, really miss you."

Kurt hadn't realized he was crying. "I... I know. And I miss you too. It's just... hard. Because whenever I look at you I see the handsome, amazing guy I fell in love with, but immediately after I remember what you did and I... I have these thoughts. Of you with someone."

Blaine blinked, a single tear rolling down his cheek. "Kurt, I am so incredibly sorry. What I did was... unforgivable. I still haven't forgiven myself." Blaine handed him a tissue. "I promise you that I have changed, okay? And this whole situation just taught me that no one will ever measure up to you. Because you are the only one for me. My one and only."

Kurt looked up at these words. "I am?"

"Yes. And you always will be." Blaine hesitated for a moment before taking his hand.

Kurt smiled timidly before squeezing Blaine's hand tightly in his own. "Blaine, I do want to be together. I just... I'm not sure I'm ready quite yet. This is all happening so fast and I think I just need some time. To come to terms with things."

Blaine nodded. "I understand. And I'll give you all the time you need. I already waited this long, what will a few more months do?"

Kurt wiped his eyes, giving Blaine a hug. "Thank you."

"Of course." Blaine's face suddenly lit up as he realized something. "Oh! I think I have something that belongs to you." He reached into his pants pocket, retrieving a familiar velvet box.

Kurt gasped. "How... you still have it?"

"Yeah. I've been carrying it around for months. For some reason I couldn't let it out of my sight." Blaine opened the box, the promise ring glistening as it hit the light. Blaine took Kurt by the hand, slowly standing. He knelt down on one knee, eyes filled with tears. "Kurt, will you... be my boyfriend again someday? It doesn't have to be a promise ring, just... a reminder. That when you're ready I'm here."

Kurt nodded. "Yes, I will go out with you Blaine. As soon as I know it's the right time." He watched as Blaine slid the ring onto his finger, the familiar feeling of the cool silver on his skin.

Blaine stood, helping Kurt up. They gazed at each other for a while, neither one believing what was happening. "I guess this is goodbye. For now."

"I guess so." Kurt smiled down at their hands, which were still entwined. "But before you go..."

"What? Is there something else?" Blaine's eyes searched Kurt's, trying to figure out what was about to happen.

"You really thought I'd leave without doing this?" Kurt pressed his lips against Blaine's, the magical feeling coming over him again. The feeling he'd had on stage. The feeling he'd missed so much. Blaine must've been feeling the same way, because soon they were sitting back on the bench and he was in Kurt's lap.

When they broke away both were slightly disappointed.

Blaine sighed. "Woah. I guess I'll need to wait for more of that."

Kurt chuckled. "I guess so. Bye, Blaine."

"Bye, Kurt."

As both of them went their separate ways, Kurt was feeling something he hadn't felt in a long time. Hope. He liked to think Blaine was feeling the same way.

"What do you think? Will she like it?" Gabe asked, holding out a bouquet of flowers. He allowed Kurt to examine them, eyes intent.

"I think that they're.. nice." Kurt concluded with a shrug.

"Nice? Only nice? They're pansies, her favorite." Gabe seemed genuinely confused. "What's wrong with them?"

"Oh, nothings wrong. I just think that maybe they're a little too high school. Flowers are just kind of boring to be getting your wife, don't you think?" Kurt gestured around the store, pointing at the displays around them. "Look at all this. We're in a store surrounded by gifts and you're choosing flowers?"

Gabe rolled his eyes, defeated. "Okay, fine. What would you get her?"

Kurt took a look around, immediately picking up a shiny box of pink and red bath bombs. "These. Trust me, she'll love them."

Gabe raised an eyebrow. "Bath bombs? Do you really think she'd go for those?"

"She's married to you, Gabe. She needs all the relaxation she can get." Kurt took a bag of chips down from a nearby shelf, handing them to Gabe. "Get her these too, that way she'll stop eating all the food in our dorm room."

"Is this a gift for her or you?" Gabe joked, heading to the counter to pay.

"Be quiet, you're lucky I'm along to help you. You're looking at one of the best gift givers ever." Kurt bragged, watching as the cashier finished bagging the items.

"Is that so? Because I don't see you buying any gifts." Gabe elbowed his friend suggestively. "What are you getting for your Valentine?"

"I don't have a Valentine." Kurt insisted, crossing his arms tightly against his chest. "We've been over this."

"What, that you have a huge crush on Blaine but are playing hard to get for some reason? Because I don't remember going over that." Gabe knew he was pushing Kurt's buttons, and he absolutely loved it. "Let me help you pick something out."

"Nope, that won't be necessary. I'm not getting him anything." Kurt avoided eye contact as he said this, trying to hide the blush on his face. "It wouldn't make sense."

Gabe took the bag from the counter, beginning the walk back to school. "You know, you're the only thing holding this back. I guarantee that if you told him you wanted to get together right now he'd be all for it."

"But I don't want to get together. Not yet at least." Kurt studied the ring on his finger, heartbeat rising. "I need to make sure I'm ready."

"I'm pretty sure you are. I mean, what do you have to move on from? You barely went out with Kaden, so it's not like there's another guy." Gabe moved the grocery bag to his other hand. "I think it's time you two make things official."

"I think it's time you mind your business." Kurt shot back, rolling his eyes. "When I'm ready I'll tell him."

"Okay, okay." Gabe's phone buzzed, and he frowned as he checked it.

"Is everything okay?" Kurt asked, watching as Gabe's face paled. "What's going on? Do you need to sit down?"

Gabe nodded slightly, shakily sitting on a nearby bench. "I can't believe this is happening."

"What?" Kurt sat next to his friend, rubbing his back. "Are you going to be sick? Because if so we should probably move closer to the trash can. I really don't want vomit on this shirt."

Gabe shook his head. "No, it's... Look." He handed Kurt his phone, watching as he read over the text.

Kurt's eyes widened. He was speechless. "Wait... is Heather pregnant?"

Gabe shrugged, tears in his eyes. "I don't know. I just... I need to see her."

Kurt nodded, quickly standing. "Okay, let's go. I'm coming with you."

"I don't know if that's a good idea."

"It's non negotiable, I'm coming." Kurt started pacing back and forth across the sidewalk. "Do you know if she took a test?"

"I'm calling her." Gabe held the phone to his ear, speaking quietly.

Kurt stood by, trying to figure out what they were saying.

Gabe hung up a few seconds later, still concerned. "I can't believe this is happening. We need to go back and get a pregnancy test. Now."

"Okay, do you think you can walk? Because if not I'd be happy to go get it for you." Kurt was already pulling dollar bills from his wallet.

"I need to be there. I'll come along." Gabe stood, knees still wobbly. They walked in silence back to the store, heading down the aisle. Gabe studied the rack in front of him, clearly overwhelmed. "Which one do we buy? They look so... different."

"How would I know?" Kurt picked up one of the boxes, reading the back. "I guess this one? It looks reliable enough."

Gabe nodded, quickly scanning it at the self check out before putting it in a bag. "Okay, let's get out of here. I need to go over there."

The trip back to the dorms was frantic, and by the time they finally reached Heather's room they were panting with exhaustion. Kurt couldn't remember the last time he'd run like that. Heather was waiting for them by the door, eyes puffy and red. When she saw Gabe she burst into tears.

"I... don't... know...what to do." She gasped between sobs. "We can't have a baby right now."

Gabe held her close, rubbing her back and kissing her head. "Shh... I know. Let's not panic yet. We still don't know for sure."

Heather pursed her lips. "Okay. Thanks for buying the test."

"You're welcome. Why don't you go take it?"

"Do you want me to go? This seems like a personal thing." Kurt offered.

"No, of course not. You're my best friend, dude. I need you here." Gabe slumped down on the sofa, moving over so Kurt could sit next to him. After Heather left for the bathroom he sighed. "Kurt, what am I going to do? I can't... we don't have money..."

"It will be okay, Gabe. There are options, you know. You don't have to keep it." Kurt pointed out, holding his friend's hand. "But no matter what happens you know there are people who will love and support you."

"Who? My parents aren't speaking to me and Heather's will hate me for this."

"You have me. And Rachel. You're not alone, Gabe." Kurt hugged him, feeling him quake with sobs. "Heather will be out soon. You should probably prepare yourself."

Gabe blew his nose, sitting up straighter. "You're right. I'm ready, no matter what happens."

A second later Heather reemerged, stick in hand. She sat down across from her husband, nervously picking at her fingernails. "I haven't looked yet. I wanted to do it with you both here, so we all know at the same time."

Gabe nodded. "Alright. I guess we should flip it over."

Heather slowly turned the test right side up, all three of them struggling to see into the small frame.

She let out a quaky breath, a small smile on her face. "I'm not pregnant."

Gabe jumped up, embracing his wife. "Oh my god, I'm so relieved. I mean, I would have supported you either way, but... wow, this is good."

Kurt smiled at the two of them, slowly standing. "Congratulations on not being pregnant." He joked, joining in on the hug. "Gabe, don't you have a little something for Heather?"

Gabe looked confused for a minute before his face lit up with realization. "Oh yeah! Happy Valentine's Day babe." He handed his wife the bag, watching as she took out its contents.

"Aww, this is so sweet. Thank you." She gave him a kiss before heading to the couch, lifting up one of the cushions before emerging with a small package. "I actually got you something too."

"You hid it in the couch?" Gabe joked, taking the gift from her hands. "What could this be?"

"If it's another kiss the cook apron I'll die of happiness." Kurt said with a smirk.

Heather laughed. "No, not this year. I think you'll like this better, honey."

Gabe pulled back the paper, revealing a small box. Curious, he opened it, face lighting up. "Oh my gosh. This is amazing! I love it!"

"What is it?" Kurt asked.

"A personalized guitar pick with our faces on it." Gabe swooned. "I'll use this every time I practice. Thank you."

Heather smiled. "You're so welcome. I figured you'd like it since it's super corny. Besides, I want to be all you think about when you're strumming that guitar."

"That's so romantic, I don't know what to say." Gabe gazed adoringly at his wife, kissing her gently on the lips.

Kurt cleared his throat. "Sorry to ruin the fun, but I just wanted to let you know I'm headed out. You two deserve some couple time."

"Okay, I'll be back soon. Why don't you go over to Blaine's?" Gabe said with a wink.

Kurt groaned. "Heather, will you please kiss him again so he'll shut up?"

"Gladly."

Kurt thought he'd be sadder spending another Valentine's Day alone, but he was actually enjoying himself. After he'd returned home from Heather's he'd taken a relaxing shower, FaceTimed with Mercedes for about an hour, called his parents, and done two face masks.

Now, as he sat on the end of his bed finishing his mid term assignment, everything seemed... peaceful. His phone buzzed, startling him from his train of thought. Kurt read the text. Gabe. Of course he was sleeping over at Heathers'- it was Valentine's Day. He sent a response before deciding to call it a night.

Just as he was about to crawl into bed there was a knock on the door. Confused, Kurt opened it to find John standing there, smiling per usual.

"Hey, it's Kurt, right?"

"Um... yeah. What are you doing here at..." Kurt paused to check the clock. "Twelve thirty am?"

John laughed. "Sorry about that. Ms. Jackie actually told me today that she thinks you left some books in the auditorium? I was going to tell you sooner but it completely slipped my mind."

Kurt sighed. Of course he'd left his books down there. "Okay, thanks. I'll get them tomorrow."

"Ooh, no can do. Auditoriums closed tomorrow, remember? For that assembly."

Assembly? Kurt tried to wrack his brain about what John was referring to, but nothing was coming to mind. "I guess I'll go grab them."

Kurt grudgingly pulled on a sweater, annoyance eating away at him. Of course this had to happen tonight of all nights. He quickly walked to the auditorium, trying to hurry so he could get back to bed as soon as possible. He swung the door open, the lights immediately switching on.

Kurt blinked a couple times, trying to adjust to the brightness. "What's going on?"

Blaine emerged from behind the curtain, a mischievous grin on his face. "Hey, you made it."

Kurt was confused. "What do you mean? I'm just here to pick up some books."

Blaine laughed. "Yeah, I made John tell you that. There are no books, Kurt."

"Then why am I here?" Kurt questioned.

"Sit down." Blaine nodded towards a seat in the front row, waiting until Kurt was seated to begin. "I have a little Valentine's Day surprise planned."

Kurt raised an eyebrow. "Surprise? For me?"

"Yes, for you. Now sit back and enjoy the show." Blaine winked, heading onstage. "Hit it."

Kurt watched as a small band emerged. He couldn't believe he hadn't seen them sooner. Blaine crossed the stage slowly, keeping in time with the music. Kurt didn't recognize the song, but he loved it. Just as he was getting familiar with the melody the beat dropped, and he watched as Blaine ripped off his shirt and pants so he was left in a skimpy, red bodysuit.

Kurt gasped in shock. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Blaine began to dance, singing along with the music. He didn't seem ashamed at all that he was wearing what looked to be lingerie from Victoria's Secret, and it made him even hotter.

Kurt watched as he finished the dance, striking a pose as he held the final note. Once he was finished Kurt didn't know what to say. Should he clap? Luckily he didn't need to think about this too much, because Blaine was the one who broke the silence. "So... what did you think?"

Kurt smiled. He knew he was blushing like crazy. "That was... incredible. I had no idea you could dance like that. And your outfit, it's-"

"Sexy?" Blaine guessed.

"Yeah." Kurt shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "I'm sorry, I had no idea you were going to do this. Otherwise I would've gotten you something. I just thought since we're not really together it might be weird, but now I feel dumb-"

"Stop. I wasn't expecting anything from you. All I wanted was to make your Valentine's Day slightly more... edgy. And maybe turn you on a little."

"Well, you definitely accomplished both of those goals." Kurt said with a smile. "Blaine, thank you for that breathtaking gift. I won't ever forget it, that's for sure."

"I don't want you to." Blaine kissed Kurt's hand, smiling down at the ring on his finger. "I'm glad you still have this on."

"I'm never taking it off." Kurt said, playing with one of Blaine's curls. "I've been thinking."

"Oh yeah? About what?"

"Us." Kurt met Blaine's gaze. He'd forgotten how beautiful his eyes were. "I think I'm ready. To start dating you for real."

Blaine looked shocked. "You are?"

"Yes. I don't want to spend another day without you as my boyfriend." Kurt shrugged, cheeks glowing. "That is... if you'll have me."

"Seriously? I'll freaking have you any day." Blaine leaned in, eyeing Kurt's lips as if asking permission.

Kurt rolled his eyes. "Just kiss me already, Blaine Anderson."

And Blaine did just that. He pulled away after a couple seconds, feeling all the love in the world for the brown haired blue eyed boy next to him. "Just out of curiosity... are you only getting back together with me because of the bodysuit?"

Kurt laughed. "No. Although I do think you should keep it, you really pull it off."

"And you love it."

"Maybe I do."

And just like that they're BACK TOGETHER!

I know the segment with Gabe and Heather was sort of random, but I felt like there wasn't enough suspense so I added it. What do you think, would Gabe be a good dad? Lol.

Now that Klaine is reunited, what do you predict their relationship will look like? Let me know in the comments! Reviews are always appreciated. Love you all!
