A Danny Phantom/ Batman Crossover

This is what I get for reading fanfiction.

He had drifted through this realm for some time, gathering intel. Anything to enable him to protect his charges, the orders of his mistress.

The Alwarith Almamsuh had found refuge with his father. Between the watchful care of the Detective and the other protectors, the eldest was secure for the time being.

The younger Almamsuh had all but faded from the Demon Head's memory. For all that the man was concerned, his youngest grandson was dead.

Not a living soul would know that Danyal Al Ghul had lived, and that is how Ali Khalid intended to keep it.

Even so, he could not help but feel that danger was brewing.

The search for access to the living world proved difficult. That was until the rumors of a permanent doorway, the first in over a millennia, had emerged. And with the doorway also came tales of a protector.

"Why? Why must you come and pester me. Every. Single. NIGHT?!" Danny asked, his exasperation towards the specter oozing into his tone. "Once I send you home, I want you to stay there!"

"HA! As if me, The Box Ghost, would pass up on the opportunity to defeat the Ghost Boy! TREMBLE IN HORROR FROM MY CORRUGATED CARBOARD BOXES OF DOOM~!"

Seeing the incoming projectiles, Danny merely turned intangible. The teen let out a tired huff as the boxes fell to the ground. "C'mon Boxy, just get in the thermos already."

"You will not be sealing me in the confines of the round cylindrical tra-AAAAAAAAAAAA!" The Box Ghost was interrupted by the activation of the Fenton Thermos, and was promptly sucked in, but before letting out a final "BEWARE!"

"Finally."

With the remaining stragglers contained, the teen flew off, wanting to enjoy a flight before retiring for the night. It was a few minutes into his carefree cruise when his ghost sense went off, accompanied by the familiar sound of missiles. Danny barrel-rolled to avoid the explosives then shot a glare at the persistent 'Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter'.

"Really?"

"That's right Whelp! I've come to collect your pelt, though I'm somewhat disappointed that the sneak attack failed."

"Sure, because nothing's sneakier than shooting missiles."

"Hmmm, you have a point there. I'll have to remember that for my next hunt-" Skulker then brandished several laser blasters, "After I skin you of course!"

Danny ducked away from the blast sent to his head, fists then lighting up with ectoblasts. "Of course."

Before either side could make a move, Skulker gave a startled gasp as a blade sliced through his mechanical suit. In two clean halves, the hunter plummeted to the earth. As the top half tried to wrangle his legs, a shadowed figure materialized from the dark confides of an alleyway. The edge of his sword (katana, Danny's mind supplied) glinted as the lethal end was tucked under Skulker's head. Skulker had ceased all movement, eyes wide in fright.

Danny had not seen the blade move. All that he knew was Skulker's head was now removed from the shoulders, the robot skull with the real Skulker rolling to a stop near Danny's feet.

It was then the shadow man-ghost directed his attention to Danny, striding to where the halfa had landed. Danny tensed up, ectoblasts ready to defend himself against his new foe, only to be baffled when the ghost sheathed his sword and knelt down.

"I am relieved to see that you are in fine health."

"Er, wha?" Danny's mind at this point stopped working.

The shadowy being stood up, and Danny could now make out more details. The overall appearance was that of a ninja, the ghost's garments were seeming made of shadows. The only exposed part was the eyes. Swirling voids of green, like that of the Ghost Zone. And he was armed. To. The. Teeth. So many different weapons were hidden on his person, many of which the teen couldn't name; and Danny had the sneaking suspicion that there were more.

"Um, thanks?" What was he to say to this ninja guy anyway? "Thank you for the help with Skulker. He's usually such a pain in the butt."

"It is my honor to protect, young almasmuh." It was then the ghost's eyes softened. "It has been many years since we have last met."

"Last met…"

"I shall be watching." With a step into the shadow of the building, the ninja ghost was gone.

And here's my take of Danny and Damian being twins.

So when the two boys were toddlers (around 4 years old), Ra's decided that only one could be the heir. Talia was away for an assignment when The Demon Head had the two boys fight for the right of heir. When she had returned, she was prevented from coming near her youngest. Because Ra's knew she would try something.

What he didn't account for was the two prince's protector from using the Lazarus pit on the youngest and shuttling him away. The man's name is Ali Khalid. He had grown fond of the two boys and had sworn to protect them. He had successfully gotten the younger twin out with anyone knowing. He continues to secretly defy Ra's and would later discreetly help Damian get away from The Demon Head.

His various acts of treachery are later discovered.

Now as a ghost, Ali later tracks down Danny and acts as his bodyguard.

Danny has no recollection of the League of Shadows, but appreciates the help of this ghostly ninja (which he calls Al). Ali explains some bits to Danny and his origins. When he's called 'young prince' for the first time, Danny has a freak out.

"Oh no, don't tell me I'm gonna be the next Ghost King!"

"No, that is simply your title from the league. You're not to be the Ghost King."

"Thank goodness! I have got to stop listening to Tucker and his weird conspiracy theories."

It's sometime later that Ra's suspects that Ali may had done something to the youngest. Cue assassins showing up near Illinois and one Batman taking notice.
