Petal sobbed miserably as she hung from her bonds, her body savaged by the sharpteeth's interrogation.

The fastbiter interrogator standing over her licked his lips and tossed the fast-runner's bloody eye into his mouth, grinning evilly at the bound flat tooth as he did so.

"Please continue spilling your guts, leaf-licker, or do I need to eat more of you?", the fastbiter asked the leafeater as he surveyed the effects of the interrogation.

Petal's body was a bloody mess, missing tiny chucks of flesh everywhere.

"That's all I know!", she sobbed pathetically. "I swear!"

"Should we believe her?", the fastbiter asked the beaked biter standing next to him.

"Hmm…I'd say she's told us plenty.", the beaked biter replied, pointing his rattan stick at Petal. "Dispatch her."

"W-wait…no…please…", Petal begged weakly as the fastbiter raised his totokia, preparing to drive the beak of the heavy club into Petal's skull. "I-I told…you…wh-what you…wa-wanted…"

"Hmm…shall we turn her loose?", the fastbiter asked the beaked biter.

"Be more sporting it would.", the beaked biter replied.

"I guess we'll go toss you outside the city and eat you another day.", the fastbiter said, unsheathing his serrated stone knife. "But first I'll ensure your ability to inform the rest of the meat about us is… limited."

Petal shrieked in horror as the beaked biter forced her jaws open and the fastbiter's blade went to work.

"Report.", Greenscale said, looking at the grey-feathered sharptoothed glider as she saluted with her blowpipe.

"We are forcing the flat-teeth out of the city on all fronts.", she replied. "Before the great circle rises tomorrow, many of our enemy shall be outside the walls or on our dinner tables."

"Excellent.", Greenscale chuckled. "Have you extracted everything from our captive?"

"We believe so, sir.", the glider answered. "She has been silenced and loosed outside the wall."

"I'll go to the interrogators and heard what they've discovered.", Greenscale said, turning on his heel and heading towards the fort's prison.
