Oblivious, prattish King Arthur, who never seemed to notice anything, could tell something was wrong.

"Merlin," Arthur admonished.

"Oh for the love of Camelot. Can't you see that you're hurting Mordred?"

Merlin sighed. "It's a needle, Arthur. It's supposed to hurt."
