God of War 2 Revenge part 3

After Calliope and Sophie recovered from their 'easing pain' session, they got out of the Divine Pools and climbed some walls, finding and opening a few chests in the upper and lower areas until they came upon a door and kicked it open before going inside of the temple of Lahkesis.

Sophie stepped on a pressure pad, making the statue's hands come down... before going back up as soon as she stepped off of it. "Hmmm...looks like there's something we need to do in order to get to that statue's face."

"Yes. And I bet it's in the lower area. You wait here while I search the lower area, Sophie. I won't be long." Calliope said gently before jumping down to the lower area and seeing a lever on the front left of the area and a big plant in the fountain in the middle of the room. She then moved the big plant and saw there was an underwater tunnel that she went through, breaking through a wall and getting to the other side of the gate and seeing a statue with a glowing green light just like the one on the Lahkesis statue. Calliope cut off the right arm and grabbed the round object before going back to the other side of the gate as Gaia explained to her what the object was.

"The relic that you hold, Calliope, is an Amulet of the Sisters of Fate that will allow you to move swiftly through time while everything else around you slows. And in order for Sophie to do the same, you must touch her at all times while the power is activated."

"I understand, Gaia. Thanks." Calliope said as she pulled the lever, making the gate open a little before she went to the pressure pad that was at the back of the room and stepped on it, making 2 platforms rise up and create a path that would get her back to Sophie. She then used the Amulet of the Fates to slow time enough for her to use the platforms and quickly got back to Sophie. After explaining to her what she found, the Atlantean warrior understood and got back on the pressure pad again, making the hands of the statue come down before Calliope took Sophie's hand and used the Amulet to slow time and they got on the hands as the power wore off and the hands brought them all to the statue's head.

As Calliope and Sophie appeared before the statue, it came to life. For Lahkesis was always the decision maker of the sisters, of whom was worthy to have an audience. "Hear me, fallen Goddess and Atlantean warrior. None defy what the Fates decree. That is how it must be." The statue spoke to Calliope and Sophie. "Only one of you will have an audience with us, while the other will not."

This confused Sophie as what Lahkesis told them. But Calliope wasn't buying it. "What do you mean, one of us will not!?" She demanded.

Lahkesis smirked to the two women and stated. "One of you will stay behind, Ghost of Sparta, performing the ultimate sacrifice, so the other can go on. But don't think that reaching our sacred temple will change either of your fates, or the ones that you both hold dear. It is neither of your destiny to destroy Zeus. All that awaits at the end of your path... is... death. Bwahahahahaha!" Lahkesis finished, while evilly laughing.

As Sophie was horrified at what awaited her and her future mother-in-law, Calliope exploded in rage. "LAIR!" And punched the head of the statue so hard, it was sent flying backwards right through the wall! The Ghost of Sparta's reaction shocked Sophie for a moment. But when Calliope glanced at her, the former Goddess of War looked with saddened eyes, vowing to her. "Mark my words, Sophie. Neither of us will die here. No matter what kind of lies those evil sisters are telling, we will reach them and have an audience to save our beloveds! Together!"

Calliope's words not only comforted Sophie, but made her also determined again. With a serious look on her face, she gave a nod. "Together." She said before both glanced for a moment to the temple of the Sisters of Fate, far in the distance before exiting the building the destroyed wall.

After jumping in the courtyard below them, a pack of wraiths appeared. Calliope and Sophie used quick attacks to damage them, with Calliope even slowing down time with the Amulet, allowing them both to deal a great deal of damage to the wraiths until they were dead. Calliope then destroyed the statue head and they crossed the bridge and Calliope found some chests and opened them before they climbed down the nearby ladder to the Destiny's Atrium.

After getting into the Atrium, cyclops appeared with a pack of wild boars. Sophie lured the boars away from the cyclops and took them out first very easily while Calliope focused on killing the mighty one-eyed monster and the 2nd one that appeared, using very quick combos while Sophie used her Bane to shoot them, dealing a great deal of damage to them until they were dead.

When that was done, the Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior climbed the ladder to their left that was closest to the back wall of the atrium to an upper walkway that ran in front of a massive head statue and they saw beams coming out of the statue's eyes that were creating the barrier that was blocking their progress. When they saw two statues with shields, Sylvia went left and got the statue to the floor cutouts directly in front of the left light beam, intercepting it. Calliope went right and saw that the other statue wasn't as simple to move. Lady Death then moved the statue to the platform close to it and pulled the lever to raise it up before kicking the statue to the walkway before getting it in front of the right team, intercepting it as well. The beams were then reflected back at the eyes and In a few minutes, destroyed the barrier below them before they jumped back down to the atrium and moved forward to the Bog of the Forgotten.

The Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantian warrior went through the bog, avoiding the deadly waters to their left until a horseman ambushed them and Calliope was dragged by the big horse as Sophie held her tightly by her ankles.

As the fierce horsemen dragged the 2 warriors throughout the bog and into an arena surrounded by deadly waters, the man spoke, revealing an all too familiar voice and face, now hideous, that Calliope hadn't forgotten from her nightmares. "Well, what do we have here? I have fought my way through the guardians of Hades, and drove my way out of the fires of torment and changed my fate. And for my efforts, the Sisters shine their light upon me. I expected them to deliver your father as the very object for my revenge! But instead, I got my hands on his daughter: Calliope, the next best thing. The rebellious servant of Ares. Do you know who I am, Lady Death?!" The hideous man asked fiercely.

"I have never forgotten your ugly face. I have my father's memories, so I know exactly who you are." Calliope said with hate while giving a death glare to the one who had forced her father to swear a blood oath to Ares, the same man who was responsible for what were the first steps that started to ruin her life. The Barbarian king, Alrik.

Sophie had heard tales from her girlfriend, Sylvia of Alrik's evil ways and that he was one of the people responsible for everything that had happened to her future mother-in-law. And now seeing him back from the dead, made the Atlantean warrior hate him more then ever.

"I may have never had the chance to deliver my revenge on your father, Ghost of Sparta, but at least I'll have it on the next best thing. And now it will even be even more satisfying... when I claim... the head of the daughter of my greatest enemy! Bwahahahaha!"

While Calliope avoided Alrik's attacks while landing some quick combo attacks of her own, Sophie used her bow and arrow to hit him, dealing some damage to the Barbarian king and allowing Calliope to knock himmoff his horse and kill it! Alrik then used the powers of his hammer to summon warriors to assist him but while the Ghost of Sparta dealt with them, Sophie distracted the Barbarian king with her arrows, allowing Calliope to land quick combo attacks on him after killing the warriors, especially the captain of the ship that was destroyed by the Hydra years ago. Once Alrik was damaged enough, Calliope managed to get his hammer and used it against him to finally finish him off for good, smashing his skull in until it was completely splattered!

Calliope then used the hammer to kill some more undead soldiers until they were all dead before Sophie came up to her and hugged her future mother in law in comfort. "How do you feel, Calliope?"

"A little better now that I've had my revenge on that Barbarian bastard. But I'll feel even better once our loved ones are in our arms again." The Ghost of Sparta answered as she returned the hug.

"Me too, Calliope. Me too." Sophie said before they got past the bog rivers and began going through the bog and dealt with a pack of wild boars before getting to the Temple of Euryale.

As they were approaching the temple, they saw a door with two large snake statues on both sides. Calliope heard that the temple doors had the same deadly power of the Gorgons so they went left and saw a locked gate that required the key of Euryale to unlock. They went and investigated the far area on the right side of the temple, jumping over the murky waters and continuing along the path skirting the outside of the temple before coming across a corpse that was being devoured by scavenging birds, along with a warrior calling for their help before he was dragged away by 2 minotaurs. The Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior chased them away before seeing that the corpse had the very key they needed to advance further.

Calliope picked up the key and they went back to the gate before encountering undead skeleton warriors that they easily dealt with before getting to the gate and unlocking it with the key before going through the gate. After opening a few chests, they walked forward and got to the Ruins of the Forgotten.

Immediately upon entering the ruins ahead, a beast lord appeared and called forth a cyclops beast lord then got onto the back of the cyclops and egged it on, creating one menacing duo. While the cyclops alone were tough to fight, having the beast lord on its back made it even more of a danger. While Calliope distracted the Cyclops, Sophie used the opportunity to kill the beast lord by killing it with her how and arrows before they both killed the cyclops together with Cronos' Rage and when they were all dead, Calliope found a few chests and opened them before they went into the ruins and removed a block from the front of a doorway to the far right. With the block removed, Calliope opened the gate and they entered the ruins.

While walking through the halls, Calliope found a hidden chest and opened it before they went left and took out a few enemies before finding 2 more chests and opening them before they backtracked and went in the right direction and entered a cave with a few hovering nymphs. Sophie killed the nymphs before they dropped into the pit just ahead where they fought and killed a few wraths before Calliope destroyed a column of rock, making a grappling point that they both used, along with the two beyond it, to swing over the bog ahead. When they landed, they saw a ladder to the right that led to a rope Calliope got across to open a few chests before they both hopped between platforms to get across the bog. A few undead soldiers appeared in the distance but the Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior avoided their blasts until they got to the other side and destroyed 2 of 3 pillars that sent 2 of the undead soldiers down where Sophie killed them while Calliope used her strength to get the final big pillar down, along with the final undead soldier, allowing Sophie to kill it before they jumped to the ledge above and Calliope immediately opened two hidden chests before she and Sophie continued down the narrow path until it dropped them into lower chamber.

Sophie then used her how and arrow to make a grappling point for Calliope to get to the ledge on the right where she opened two chests while the female Atlantean warrior pushed down on the pressure pad in the middle of the chamber, making the bars to the right open and see saw a dead body and a cracked wall. Calliope broke the wall with a punch before Sophie killed two undead soldiers while Calliope pulled the nearby lever, making the bars to the left open where they saw another pressure pad. They got an idea and put the dead body in the rushing river and Calliope waited until it was on her side before she put it on the pressure pad, making a set of bars from the doorway that was their way out open before Sophie stood on the other one, making the other bars open before Sophie went through the doorway first, followed closely by Calliope before they got to the River of the Forgotten.

They then saw the warrior from before in the upper ledge in the distance, bravely fighting off three monster soldiers before they jumped on the first cog-like platform. And as Sophie used the crank to get them to the next one, Calliope battled some undead soldiers before they got to the second platform before repeating the process until they were on the other side of the River.

When they got to the other side, Lady Death and the female Atlantean warrior run into a Titan minotaur. While avoiding its attacks and hanging back, Sophie used her how and arrows to hurt it, distracting it enough for Calliope to hurt it more with her blades before she successfully stabbed it in the chest, making its lava blood pour out before it fell to the ground dead.

Calliope then used her blades to tug the nearby tree down, creating a ramp that led to a climbable wall. After crossing the tree and the wall, Calliope and Sophie got to a ledge with a rope to swing across. While on the rope, they dealt with a number of undead soldiers, sending them into the deadly waters below before getting to the other side and seeing a fast spinning gear that they needed to cross in order to move further. Calliope then opened the nearby door close to the gear and saw a statue with the same green glow as before. Calliope used the Amulet to slow time as she grabbed Sophie's hand and they crossed the gear and the conveyor belt on the other side that had the beams of the gorgons and some undead soldiers that they turned to stone by using the beams to their advantage while avoiding the beams themselves as Calliope destroyed the wall on the other side and they grappled out of there and got to another platform.

After opening a nearby chest, Calliope and Sophie then destroyed the three statues lining the wall to the left. Behind one of the statues was a block that Calliope pushed, dropping it into the courtyard where they faced the last pair of cyclopes. They then dropped down into the courtyard and moved the block to the far end of the courtyard, near the ruins to the left. Sophie then moved the similar block from before towards the edge of the platform furthest from the precipice that overlooked the bog below. When that was done, the entire platform tilted slightly, allowing Calliope to push the other block onto the platform of the ruins. With both blocks on the tilting ruin platform, Sophie pushed the blocks forward towards the precipice overlooking the bog. When both blocks were in position, the platform tilted high before Sophie got off it, allowing Calliope to use her super strength to push the whole ruined platform into the bog.

Calliope and Sophie then jumped onto the platform that was now in the bog waters and crossed it to the climbable wall on the other side of the deadly waters. They climbed the wall, moving left to a tree branch that Calliope destroyed before continuing to the ledge further on the left. Once back on solid ground, they continued into the narrow passage and got to the now dying soldier, having failed to kill the monsters as they could tell that a Gorgon had turned them all to stone.

As Calliope and Sophie knelt down, the soldiers spoke his final words. "Goddess of War. Atlantean warrior... Jason. That beast...took him." He said, pointing to where the beast had gone. "Jason...has the Fleece. You must save him. The Fleece is the key to Medusa's Temple." He said before he finally died of his wounds, much to their sadness.

Calliope went ahead and fought with the Gorgon that turned the monsters to stone and fought them like she had many others in the past and quickly killed it by taking off its head before finding a few chests and opening them. After that, Sophie saw that the only way to get to the beast was through the spinning spiked gear, so Sophie took the dead soldiers and put it on the conveyor belt and allowed it to take the soldier's body into the gear while damaging it in the process, allowing Calliope to destroy it before she and Sophie got to the gate where the beast, which was a grown Cerberus, was as it was eating the soldier, Jason alive, with his arm that had the Fleece being swallowed by the middle head.

Calliope and Sophie opened the gate and went through it and began to fight against the Cerberus, attacking with very quick combo before going back to guard to intercept any incoming attacks Sophie used Cronos' Rage and her how and arrows to greatly hurt the Cerberus, stunning it long enough for Calliope to quickly reach down the middle head's mouth and get the Fleece, putting it on soon after before they finally killed the Cerberus.

"The Golden Fleece you wear now, Calliope, has the power to half incoming weapons and blasts and deflect them right back to those who deliver them." Gaia explained.

Sophie then pulled the lever to the right, then Calliope stood in front of the face engraving on the wall left of the lever. As it spewed out a fireball, Calliope used the Fleece to deflect it right back at the face engraving, destroying it and the wall before they moved through the new opening in the wall and encountered a pair of the advanced gorgons Calliope fought earlier and quickly killed them before they made their way back to the front of the Temple of Euryale by backtracking to it. When they got to the front door, Calliope used the Fleece to deflect the stone turning right back at the door, turning it to stone before Sophie destroyed it before they entered the temple.

When they got inside, Calliope and Sophie destroyed the undead soldiers that were turned to stone, along with some of them who broke out before they climbed down a ladder to the right as they heard a voice.

"Calliope and Sophie, the Spartan and Atlantean warriors. Yes. I'm aware of the misery you both have brought upon my home."

As they reached the bottom of the ladder, they were attacked by legionnaires and a new brand of minotaur. Sophie lured the legionnaires away from the minotaur and fought them as normal, launching them into the air and finishing them with grapples while also throwing them at the minotaur until they were all dead. Sophie then helped Calliope fight against the minotaur, attacking with attack with short combos while also using Cronos' Rage until it was finally dead, making the barrier to the doorway to the far right disappear.

The Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior then went through the doorway where Calliope opened another chest before they went through the chamber and saw a soldier tearing up the crank to a platform on the other side. "You'll both never reach the sisters, Atlantean and Spartan! It is my fate! Hahahaha!" He said while running away and laughing.

"Why that little son of a bitch!" Calliope said with anger.

"Tell me about it, Calliope. If we see him again, I'm gonna fucking kill him!" Sophie said with the same anger.

They got on the platform in front of them and Calliope lowered them down to the lower level, where they killed a few Nymphs before they got an idea as Sophie stood on the other platform while Calliope got on the other one and brought it up just enough so that could get out from under the gate before she then jumped onto the second platform that was raised at the same level. With the second platform at this height, Calliope and Sophie jumped to ledges on the inside of the well and got to the top to the Lowlands Vista.

While they moved forward, Calliope fought and killed a legionnaire captain before they both moved further down the hall and climbed a short ledge before they heard the voice again, threatening them that they would soon meet their ends as they climbed up the nearby wall and carefully got past the blades on the ceiling before they dropped down to the other side and Calliope rotated a crank in front of them that made the spliked trap to their right move back. Once it was fully back, having impaled someone, they went into the trap and quickly ran before Sophie quickly pulled the lever on the left while Calliope opened the gate and they quickly got out of there before the spikes could impale them.

They then went through the gate that Sophie opened by pulling the lever and got to a nearby room with a book in the middle of it and a man that had been turned to stone. As they read the book, a big obease Gorgon, who was Euryale herself, bursted through the pillars in front of them and roared at them with murder on her mind.

Euryale started off with mostly physical attacks, approaching Calliope and Sophie and unleashing whip-like attacks with her tail that they avoided while keeping distance between them and the massive Gorgon and Sophie took shots with the Typhon's Bane to hurt her without putting themselves into harm's way. This also allowed Calliope to land quick slashes to Euryale while they also carefully avoided her stone turning powers. When they caused enough damage to the massive Gorgon, she retreated to a pillar and as the Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior got close to her, she tried using her tail attacks and stone turning powers but they carefully avoided and blocked them all using the Golden Fleece's parry while using their blades, Cronos' Rage and Typhon's Bane to hurt the Gorgon until she performed a jumping body slam in the center of the room that sent a shockwave around the room that Calliope and Sophie avoided before they quickly attacked her with their blades to deal a great deal of damage to Euryale. After she got back on the pillar, Calliope grabbed her with her blades and pulled her to the ground while breaking the pillar in the process. They then repeated the process again before Calliope successfully stabbed her with her blades deeply before using her strength to pull the Gorgon's head right off her body, killing her for good!

After she was dead, Calliope used the stone gazing power of Euryale's head to turn five undead soldiers to stone before she destroyed them all, making the gate on the far end of the room open.

"This will sure make some of our fights from here on out much easier." Sophie said with a smirk.

"Yes. Just like that day many years ago." Calliope said with sadness as she remembered that day while thinking of Alecto and Sylvia and remembering that they used Medusa's head the exact same way.

They then went through the opened gate to an outdoor area with an immediate pool of water. Calliope then turned the nearby handle until it stopped to raise into position a tall column that was attached to a grappling point. Sophie then went to the nearby lever and pulled it before they both went underwater and after getting the gates to get to the next rows and raise the other columns up, they finally got to the last one before Sophie pulled the lever that opened the gate above them before they went right and found the last column. After easily killing the monsters that appeared, Calliope raised the column but saw that it quickly went back down. Sophie then saw a green glowing statue and showed Calliope before they knew what they had to do. As Sophie raised the column back up, Calliope used the Amulet to slow time before she and Sophie quickly went back and climbed the ladder before using the Amulet again before they grappled all the way to the gate that Sophie opened as the female Atlantean warrior held on to her future mother in law before they got to the gate and went through it and entered another chamber.

When Sophie pulled the lever in front of them, the gate closed and the platform began to rise up as dog monsters appeared. While Sophie used Euryale's head to turn them to stone as they got to the ceiling, Calliope used her strength to stop them from getting crushed and pulled them down as the gate in front of them opened a bit, allowing them both to jump through it.

Calliope and Sophie then moved further and killed a few harpies before they crossed the chasm by balancing on wood and using hand holds until they were at the other side and moved further, with Calliope finding some hidden chests and opening them before they encountered another Titan minotaur. While Sophie dealt with the harpies, Calliope used the same tactics she used on the last one and quickly killed it before they both grappled into the Catacombs of the Fallen.

While going through the Catacombs, they killed a couple of skeleton warriors before going up a circle of stairs before Sophie pulled the lever, bringing down a few more steps that they went up and saw that they were back in Destiny's Atrium.

After they revisited the bog, where Calliope found a few chests and opened them, they went back to the Atrium and went to the face engraved wall that shot a fire blast that Calliope deflected with her Fleece, destroying it and revealing a passage.

After sidling along the wall to the right and going through the cave. Calliope and Sophie dropped down a lower level and followed the path out of the cave where two archers are waiting for them, which they easily killed, along with a legionnaire captain and more archers before going further down the path and grappling to the waterfall ahead and when they finally reached solid ground, another legionnaire captain appeared, along with a pair of archers that they easily killed before the Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior climbed the ladder ahead and reached the Courtyard of Atropos.

That was when a pack of wraiths in the courtyard, and they were tougher than the ones they fought before. Sophie used Cronos' Rage to hurt them while Calliope attacked in short combos while throwing up their guard when they saw one of the wraiths throw a blue-glowing blade at them. They battled the monsters for a few minutes before they were all finally dead.

They then went to the doorway on the left and continued into a room where an evil priest summoned a minotaur to attack Calliope and Sophie but they were ready. While Sophie got to the priest and killed him, Calliope easily killed the minotaur, as it was just a lower class compared to the last one they fought. Calliope then located two movable statues along one wall of the room while Sophie operated a crank that raised a platform to the left, though the platform quickly dropped as soon as she let go of the handle. So Calliope pushed one of the movable statues on top of the platform before Sophie raised it again and positioned the second movable statue right next to the platform. Sophie then turned the handle to raise the platform to its highest position and as she let go of the handle, Calliope very quickly stood in front the second statue, which was still at ground level, and shoved it under the platform as it plummeted back to the lower level, allowing the second statue to prop up the platform, providing a way for them to climb to the upper level.

The Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior continued through the hall on the upper level and climbed the ladder at the end that led to an outdoor walkway with a dead end and some undead soldiers that they easily killed before going to the right down a staircase while fighting more soldiers before getting to a small chamber with a pair of satyrs. The satyrs were very aggressive and fast, so Calliope and Sophie went on the defensive, blocking their attacks and quickly countering with short combos while using Cronos' Rage to finish them off, making the barrier in front of them disappear before Calliope kicked the movable stone into the courtyard after finding and opening a hidden chest before they both got back to the courtyard, hearing someone calling for aid.

Calliope then moved the stone to a pillar that had a ladder that was out of reach before they got up to the bridge and went left before balancing across a narrow beam and once across, Calliope found and opened another chest before she and Sophie went to a doorway and opened it before going inside and fighting a few undead soldiers a a juggernaut monster. Once they were all dead, the Ghost of Sparta and the female Atlantean warrior went up a ledge and got to the Edge of Creation.

After swinging to the next walkway, just ahead of them, Calliope and Sophie fought a few undead legionnaires before Sophie activated a floor switch, making roots weave together to make a bridge spanning the chasm ahead before Calliope activated the Amulet of the Fates to slow time so they could cross. While crossing the root bridges, Lady Death and her future daughter in law fought and killed a few more monsters while Calliope also found and opened a hidden chest before they finally got to the highest chamber of the Hall of Atropos and opened a doorway before entering.

When Calliope and Sophie entered the doorway, they discovered the person who had been calling for aid. It is one of the mythic heroes of Greece, Perseus. As the door began to close behind the two warrior women, Perseus desperately made a dash for freedom, but was unable to make it before the door closed again. "NO!" Perseus said before he desperately punched the door, but it was to no avail. He then glanced with anger at the two women. "That door was my only escape!" He said in anger before he sighed deeply. "I have faced test after test in search of the Sisters. And now you two have dashed it all away!"

Sophie just shrugged, apologizing. "Sorry."

Calliope however did not pay any attention to Perseus and said to her future daughter-in-law. "There is always a way to get out. If we work together, Perseus, we'll get out of here."

While Calliope and Sophie searched for a way out, Perseus just sat there, with his back to the door. "How long has it been? Days? Weeks? And still... I, the great Perseus, am unable to reach the Sisters, to bring back the love of my life from the grasp of Hades." As Perseus stood up, he then was thinking of something. "But... perhaps this is a test? Are you watching me now, Sisters!? Give me a sign!" He called to the sky, thinking that the Sisters of Fate were watching him now.

Calliope looked at Perseus, protecting Sophie, knowing that Perseus was going to foolishly attack her and future daughter in law, just so that he could reach the Sisters of Fate.

"Am I, the great Perseus to kill this fallen Goddess and Atlantean woman to receive an audience with you? Will that allow me to bring my love back from the grasp of Hades himself!?" Perseus asked to the sky, hoping that the Sisters would answer.

Calliope frowned at him, warning him while drawing her Blades. "Watch it, Perseus. Anyone who ever tried to kill me…have died."

But then, Sophie moved out of the way, saying. "No, Calliope. Let me fight Perseus."

Calliope was surprised by this and tried to stop her by holding her arm. "What? Sophie, no!"

But Sophie was persistent. "Let me fight him!"

After looking into her eyes, Calliope nodded in agreement and let her future daughter-in-law go. "Be careful, Sophie. I don't want to lose you, too."

Perseus was confused, thinking first he had to fight both her and Calliope. But then said. "Yes... yes of course, this is the sign! The Sisters want me to slay this Atlantean warrior, so that I may finally be granted an audience with them!" Before he nodded as he put on his helmet, turning him nearly invisible. "Very well, Sophie of Atlantis. You shall have the honor to die by the hands of Perseus. Although I hardly think a harpie's fool such as yourself deserves such praise."

As the fight between the female Atlantean warrior and the great hero began, Sophie was looking at the water for ripples while carefully listening to the sound of Perseus' voice, landing some good blows on him despite him being invisible. But as Perseus began to realize what she was doing, he began changing tactics to get the upper hand, which he was starting to get as he landed several blows on Sophie... until the female Atlantean warrior grabbed him, took off his helmet and crushed it, preventing him from using it again before he began using his shield to let out a blinding flash of light, blinding Sophie before Perseus began to relentlessly attack her! Calliope tried to aid her future daughter in law but Sophie kicked Perseus away and stopped her as she regained her sight.

"Calliope, don't! This is my fight, not yours!" She called out while holding out her hand, making her future mother in law reluctantly nod as she stood back.

As the battle continued, Sophie found that Perseus' attacks were a little bit weak so she used quick combos to slash him while covering her eyes to avoid going blind again when Perseus tried to use his shield again. It continued like this for a few minutes before Sophie successfully grabbed him and stabbed himmwith his own sword before kneeing him hard in the gut and throwing him hard against the far wall! She then quickly got to him before he could recover and put his head underwater, nearly surfactanting him until she pulled him back up and banged his head against the stone wall twice, cracking it with amazing strength before she threw him right through the wall while grabbing his shield in the process, sending him flying right into a chained hook, impaling him and finally killing him before the chain went down.

Calliope walked up to Sophie and hugged her. "Well done, Sophie. Your first big fight against a strong opponent was excellent. Sylvia would be so proud of you as I am."

Sophie hugged Calliope back before smiling at her future mother in law. "And we'll make sure that we tell her and Alecto once they're returned to us, Calliope." She said before they embraced again.

They then jumped into the chain and slid down back to the courtyard while glaring at Perseus' dead body before Calliope and Sophie went up to the bridge and went right, finding a statue with a missing shield. Calliope destroyed the wooden pedestal, allowing Sophie to put the shield back in its place before Calliope got it down to the ground before Sophie jumped down and got the statue into the empty slot before using the crank to bring it up to the eye beam, intercepting it before Calliope used her Fleece to intercept the other one, destroying them and making the barrier disappear just like before.

Calliope and Sophie then went to the entrance to the Bog but went up the stairs on their left and went down the right path, swimming past a pool of water and coming to an open cashem, seeing a massive floor switch on the left, trying it but found that the gate in front of them closed when they were off of it. They went right, climbed up the wall and pulled a lever, opening a gate below it before jumping down and going through it, seeing a dead bird with a spear jammed into its neck. When Calliope pulled it out, a few undead soldiers appeared before they killed them all, seeing a statue with a green glow. Calliope turned the statue 90 degrees to the right using the crank so it was facing the gate before she dragged it through the gate and down the ramp to the edge of the pool around the corner before she and Sophie swam across the water and stood on the other side of the gap before using the Amulet to slow time and quickly backtracked through the narrow hall, swinging across the previous grappling point and returning to the massive floor switch, quickly opening the gate and getting through it before Calliope opened three chests before they backtracked to the statue, brought it back to where it previously was and turned it so it was facing the right before moving it back to its original position and went back to the walkway, getting on the tilting part and bringing it back to its original position before Calliope used the Amulet to slow time, allowing both her and Sophie to make it across the walkway before Sophie tightly hung on to her future mother in law as Calliope grappled and jumped across the crumbling pillars before finally getting to the cave at the end and going through it, fighting and killing many monsters as they did so before getting to the Great Chasm.

As Calliope and Sophie made it to The Great Chasm, both were astounded that the Chasm was so big, making it for them impossible to reach the Palace of the Fates on the other side.

"Calliope... how can we make it across THIS?" Sophie asked worriedly, as it seemed that they wouldn't make it across.

Calliope however said confidently. "There is always a way, Sophie. We just need to think of something that-" but suddenly, a vile looking man with wings, who was on the brink of insanity approached them.

"Go back, go back you two. There is no passage here. You will never make it across! You both think that you can but you cannot!"

Even though what the crazy man said was true, as he had tried to obviously and failed because of his wings being as ruined as they were. While Calliope thought about this, Sophie seemed to recognize the man from somewhere.

"Do you understand? It is my wings that can make it across! This is my test!"

"Calm yourself, you crazy old man!" Calliope said, trying to calm the winged man down.

"No! Do you not know who I am?"

Calliope crossed her arms, while Sophie said. "I know you. You're Icarus, the man who his father, Daedalus made wings for."

He nodded like crazy with a wide smirk. "Yes, yes yes yes! Then you understand... that it is my fate to make it across, NONE OTHER!" Icarus yelled into their faces. Both Calliope and Sophie were starting to get annoyed as Icarus continued talking like an insane madman. "You'll see, the Sisters will grant me an audience!" He said while changing position behind the women's backs "Not you, no no no no no! You white warrior and beautiful one... you will die here. You will die here!"

Calliope had enough of this and grabbed ahold of Icarus while saying with a very serious look. "We will meet the Sisters of Fate and we'll need to use your wings to do so, whether you like it or not!"

Icarus got more crazy and angry. "The Sisters will not allow you, a fallen Goddess, to bathe in their light!" Before he suddenly worked his way onto Calliope's back in panic. While Calliope and Sophie tried to get Icarus off of Calliope's back, Icarus pulled Lady Death down into the great chasm!

Sophie watched in horror as her future mother-in-law was being dragged down into the abyss. "CALLIOPE!"

As Calliope and Icarus fell into the abyss, they started fighting, with Calliope punching him hard as he swiped at her while they hit the rocks. This happened for a few minutes before Calliope got ahold of Icarus's wings, preparing to rip them off.

Icarus then said in fear and desperation. "Wait! Perhaps the Sisters have sent you and the Atlantean to help me! I realize now!"

Calliope however didn't buy it and before she took the wings, she ssid with regret in her voice. "I'm sorry." Before she ripped the wings off and used them to slow her descent.

While Icarus fell into the Underworld, Calliope used her newly acquired wings to land on the Titan, Atlas's face. When Calliope looked at Atlas and saw what the years had done to his body, she felt great regret and remorse, as she still blamed herself for him being trapped here, and that was part of the reason she freed Thera years ago.

She saw that one of his arms had an opening for getting back to the surface and back to Sophie and made her way to the hand, getting through many obstacles and fighting many monsters along the way. The journey even took her inside the mighty Titan's body, which disgusted her greatly and caused her to feel more regret for what happened to Atlas as it was her fault that he'd been forced to remain here for eternity. After some time, she finally got to Atlas' hand and used her blades to break the chains holding it, freeing his hand and his whole arm and easing a little bit of his pain, which let Calliope feel some relief for Atlas.

"Who brakes my chains of torment?!" the Titan Atlas asked as he grabbed the little thing that freed one of his arms from the massive chains. With his fingers he tried to crush it, but Calliope managed to hold him back. "Hmm, you are strong, but far too small, even for an Olympian to be a God." Atlas glared at the little thing and became angry as he realized who it was. "Ugh... Calliope! You dare show your face to me, after what you have done?!" He asks while trying to crush her for what she did to him. "I'll make you suffer, Calliope."

Calliope tried as hard as she could not to be crushed and called out to the Titan who she and her lover Alecto had trapped here. "Atlas! You have to listen to me! Much has passed since we last met!"

However, Atlas wasn't convinced. "Why should I ever trust a servant of Zeus?" He asked while still trying to crush her in his grip.

With one big push, Calliope yelled. "BECAUSE I SEEK TO DESTROY ZEUS!"

Atlas was surprised to hear that from Lady Death as he slowly let her go. Now standing on the hand of the Titan, facing him, Atlas then started to laugh. "Hahahahaha! Calliope, still the arrogant and foolish warrior."

"My attempts are not arrogant nor foolish Atlas!" Calliope called, but then... she became sad. "After all I have done for Olympus, for the people... and Zeus... he took everything from me! My family...my beloved Alecto...and my daughter... both dead."

Atlas hadn't expected to hear this. He was facing a whole different Ghost of Sparta then the one who made him carry the world on his shoulders for all eternity.

With some tears flowing from her eyes, Calliope told him regretfully. "I know that me and Alecto put you into this never ending torment, Atlas but we are in the same mess now! And as I journeyed here while seeing what it's done to you... because of me and Alecto, I began to feel great remorse for what I've caused you. Just as I did ever since I put you here! Please Atlas... I need your help...now more than ever."

This made the Titan even more surprised before he laughed. "Hahahaha! You!? Calliope, The ghost of Sparta, needs my help?! Hmmm... you have changed a lot, Lady Death."

"Trust me, I have seen Zeus for what he really is. All this time I never saw that it was Zeus who was the real evil of this world, not you or the other Titans. Gaia told me everything about how Zeus betrayed all of your kind for the sins of just one...when he should have just blamed Cronos for everything, not all of the Titans! I know what I did to you was wrong, Atlas, but you must understand that I only did it because of my foolish service to Olympus. If there is any way that I can make it up to you... then I will. You have my word."

Atlas was thinking about that for a while before he said what he wanted Calliope to do to atone for what she did to him. "Free me from this torture, then we are even."

'Freeing Atlas?' Calliope mentally thought with great surprise. "How do I know that you won't let the world crumble in on itself?" She asked the Titan, wanting to know his true motives.

Atlas sighed as he stated. "Believe me, Calliope, after my recent alliance with Persephone, I had a long... conversation with Gaia about my actions. She was very displeased in what I attempted. After that argument, I got back to my senses. I was wrong to follow Persephone's evil plan to destroy the Pillar of the world. If you want to know if I won't just destroy the world, I will not. You have my word that I have no intention to do so again."

Calliope then nodded, knowing that Atlas had learned his lesson. "Then you have my promise Atlas, once I have reclaimed my healing Amulet, I will restore the Pillar and set you free."

That made the Titan smile at Lady Death. "Then we have a deal." But then he asked, wondering what Calliope's plan was for defeating Zeus. "But tell me: how do you plan to kill the King of the Gods?"

That made Calliope very serious and she answered. "By taking the Blade of Olympus back and driving it into Zeus's heart! That Blade holds the power I once wielded as the Goddess of War!"

"The Blade of Olympus?!" Atlas asked, surprised with wide eyes...until it made him angry at the memory of the Blade. "I've not heard that name in many years since... since the end of the Great War. Bloodlust and power raged within Zeus. His desire to rule over mortals and the elements was intolerable to us. The war between the Titans and the Olympians forced itself through the landscape of the mortal world. It was a war we knew the Titans must win. If we lost, it would mean an end to the golden age of the Titan rule and prosperity and peace for mankind would be no more." Atlas stated, while remembering the moment that his soul was taken by Hades while he was trying to save Cronos, not knowing that it was all because of him that the Great War started in the first place. "The battle continued despite my capture. Then Zeus created a powerful weapon to end the Great War, a weapon forced form the heavens and the earth, The Blade of Olympus!" The memory of when the Titans lost and were sent to the pits of Tartarus was too painful for Atlas. "I awoke in the torment of the underworld, banished to the darkest depths of Hades. Me and my brothers and sisters would have destroyed Zeus and the Olympians, if it wasn't for that damned blade!"

Calliope understood well what the Titans had to endure for the past thousands of years and stated with remorse. "I know I cannot erase the pain that you and all the other Titans have had to face for thousands of years, Atlas, but help me to get to the Sisters of Fate and I promise you, that I will destroy Zeus once and for all... and finish what I started when I freed Thera!"

Seeing that Calliope was truly the one foretold to free the Titans and the world made Atlas smile. "Then what Gaia has said is true, Ghost of Sparta. You are a powerful warrior and a worthy ally and friend to the Titans. But... even a Titan doesn't know how to reach the Sisters' temple. However, it is said that he or she who finds it will wield great power."

At that moment, Atlas gave Calliope the magic of his 'Atlas Quake' and reached out to the pit where Calliope had fallen into. "I have given you the last of my magic, Calliope. Magic that you can surely use. I will bring you back to the surface and help you and your Atlantean friend to get across the Great Chasm, but that is all I can offer you for now."

When Atlas reached up with his huge hand with Calliope back onto the surface, Sophie was at first surprised to see the giant hand coming out of the surface. But once she saw her future mother-in-law, she was overjoyed to see her all right. "Calliope!" She yelled with happiness as she ran onto Atlas' hand and embraced Calliope, which she eagerly returned. "Thank goodness you're all right."

But then Sophie asked after breaking the hug. "But... what happened? And why is Atlas... helping you?"

Calliope smiled at Sophie and stated. "Let's say that I've made a new ally... for us all."

As Atlas moved Lady Death and her Atlantean companion to the other side of the Great Chasm to the entrance of the Palace of the Fates, the Titan called out to his new allies and friends. "May fate grant you passage, Calliope! For many depend on your success, my new ally... and friend."

Calliope jumped onto a platform with Sophie and yelled back to Atlas. "I promise you, Atlas, I will come back for you!"
