Battle of Olympus part 4
Back with Calliope and Alecto
The two lovers had just reached the top of the Chain of Balance. Both jumped from the chain and entered a large room they were in. Hermes was nowhere to be seen. But in the middle of the room, stood a structure in the shape of a huge flame, with inside the most powerful thing that has ever been created: The Flame of Olympus.
As both women took a closer look at the huge blue flames, while thinking of how they could destroy it, they found something placed inside the Flame that they haven't seen in years: The Box of Chaos!
"Calliope, look." Alecto said while pointing to the box inside the flames.
Calliope was surprised to see the box was inside the flame. "The Box of Chaos?"
Before the memory of her opening the box to use it's powers to kill Ares, flashed before her eyes.
Now, Lady Death and the Ex-Fury Queen were even more confused. Why was the Box of Chaos placed inside the Flame?
But while thinking about all of this, they were greeted by the spirit of Athena.
Calliope demanded answers from her. "Athena. What is the meaning of this?"
Athena then answered. "Your eyes do not deceive you, Lady Death. It is the same Box you opened years ago. The power to kill a God still rests inside."
Calliope disagreed with that, knowing she had used those powers years ago. "That's impossible, Athena! I released those powers when I killed Ares."
Athena shook her head and explained. "No. Trapped inside that Box there is a stronger power. It has been missing from the world. It all began when Zeus triumphed over the Titans in the Great War. Zeus understood that the evils born from that battle would destroy the world of man and Gods. To contain these evils, Zeus commissioned Hephaestus to build a vessel strong enough to hold them. Fear. Greed. Hate. He locked them all away in the Box of Chaos in the hopes that they would never infect his reign. When you opened the Box to kill Ares, you drew from the forbidden powers. After witnessing your victory over the God of War and how the mortals worshiped you as the greatest deity they had ever known, fear began to grip Zeus, which drove him to conspire against you and your family."
Calliope and Alecto slowly began to understand. But they still had to figure out how to claim the Box from the deadly flames. so Alecto asked. "But the Flame is deadly, Athena. How can we recover the Box?".
Athena glanced at Calliope and Alecto, answering. "There is only one thing that can destroy the Flame."
"What is it?!" Calliope demanded.
"The very thing that Hephaestus created from the heart of the Flame, which took a life of its own. The one being that you see as... another daughter."
Calliope and Alecto's eyes went wide as they knew who she meant. "Pandora?"
Athena nodded ."Yes. She is the key to destroying the Flame. The key to our revenge. It is why Zeus took her away and holds her imprisoned so she could never destroy the Flame for anyone to claim the Box. This will be difficult."
That last part came as a warning that it would not be easy to find and free Pandora.
Before the spirit of Athena would depart, Calliope said with determination. "We will find Pandora and free her from captivity."
"I hope you are right, Ghost of Sparta." Athena said before she then disappeared.
Both Lady Death and her lover now knew why Zeus really held Pandora as a hostage. But it still didn't explain why Hephaestus was keeping this information from them.
"This doesn't make any sense, Calliope. If Pandora is the only one who can destroy the Flame, why didn't her father tell us this before?" Alecto asked.
Calliope shook her head as she didn't have the answer "I don't know, baby. But once we meet Hephaestus again, he owes us a big explanation!"
Alecto nodded that they needed more answers from Pandora's father.
As Calliope checked the rest of the room for more clues, Alecto checked the metal shapes that held the Flame and the Box. "They seem to hold the Flame inside it for some reason, so nobody can claim the box even if the Flame is gone." The ex-Fury Queen said.
Calliope used Helios' head to shine on some walls, showing more information about the Flame, the Chain of Balance and the mysterious cubes in the Caverns. "Alecto, look at this!" She called to her Fury lover, who joined her as they both read on the walls:

DEATH AWAITS ALL WHO TOUCH THE FLAME, GOD OR MORTAL, YET EVEN THIS POWER PALES AGAINST THAT WHICH IS PROTECTED IN ITS CORE
The other painting gave more information about the large Chain of Balance and the Three Judges:

THE MUSES GUIDE SOULS IN LIFE, THE THREE JUDGES IN DEATH, AND IN THE REALM BETWEEN THEM, THE KEY TO THE FLAME GUIDES THE BALANCE OF POWERS.
The last third hidden painting said:
JUDGES OF HADES
IN THE JUDGES' HANDS, THE FATE OF OLYMPUS LIES. FOR IT IS THEY WHO CONTROL THE GREAT CHAIN AND DETERMINE ITS RELEASE.
"So the three judges hold the Chain of Balance, so that Olympus stays together? But what have the huge cubes in the Caverns got to do with it?" Alecto asked.
Calliope thought about this deeply. But was interrupted as she saw Hermes on the ceiling, lying there, watching the two women figuring out what the walls had to say.
He then jumped down while taunting the two women again. "You may have brute force, but you both lack speed."
The messenger of the Gods laughed at them as they drew their blades and went after him. He raced with amazing speed once more and now lied relaxing on the edge of a bridge, making a fake yawn as if he was waiting for them for a long time and played with his coin.
When Calliope and Alecto approached him, he then said with a smirk. "You have been lucky in battle, ladies. But your luck ends today." Harmes said before he then jumped on one pillar and then to the other, knocking it over and jumping to the other side before he waited for them to pursue him.
Alecto flew Calliope over to where Harmes jumped and began chasing after him as he used his speed to outrun them while insulting the 2 lovers. "So slow! No way you'll ever catch me! Lazy Mortal and pathetic Fury!"
The pursuit of Hermes and his insults and taunting to both ladies took Calliope and Alecto to floors that collapsed when a fireball hit, forcing many innocent people to hold on for dear life. The Ghost of Sparta and the former Fury queen saved as many innocent people as they could before they could fall or were killed by the mindless monsters of Zeus while still chasing Harmies until they got to a catapult and set it before launching the giant rock at the statue Harmes was on, making it fall into 1 of the buildings with Harmes on it before all but the head fell.
Calliope and Alecto then entered the building where the statue crashed and followed the trail of coughed up blood all the way to Harmies.
The weak Messenger of the Gods stood up and said as he prepared to fight. "I will not be heated by a mortal and a pathetic Fury!"
While Harmes was still fast, even though a little weak, getting some hits on Calliope and Alecto, Lady Death and her Fury lover got several hits on him, slashing him with their blades enough to slow him down long enough for Alecto to use her black goo to stop him dead in his tracks.
Thanks to Alecto's black goo, Hermes had slowed down, giving Calliope the chance to deliver the final blow as she pierced one of her blades into Hermes' stomach!
Hermes collapsed to the floor, holding his intestines that came from his open wound as he crawled away while losing a lot of blood. He then sat with his back to a wall before he couched out some blood while looking with anger at Calliope and Alecto. "I thought... the Ghost of Sparta and her... Fury Lover fought with honor, and yet you seek to kill me when I have no way to defend myself? Not fair."
Hermes couched out more blood as Alecto then said to him. "You had lots of chances to defend yourself, Hermes, but never took them. You could have easily defeated us, but you only used your speed in order to lose us and instead sent your minions to do all your dirty work for you. You are and will always be a coward, Messenger of the fucking Gods!"
Harmes mocked the two ladies by saying. "Oh, I'm sure you have your own sense of honor, right? And what has that honor brought you? Nothing but creating a gap between Olympus and yourselves, and nothing but nightmares of your father's failure, Calliope. Today you may have... defeated me," He said before he couched more blood as he was slowly dying. "But in the end... in the end... you'll betray... only... your..sel..ves…"
Hermes then fell on the floor, breathing out his last breath. The Messenger of the Gods was dead. His body turned green as huge swarms of millions of flies bursts out of his corpse, releasing another plague into the world. His body had then vaporized into dust, leaving only his Boots.
Calliope took Hermes's boots and said while smirking. "These will come in handy."
Before she took off her own black boots and put on Hermes' boots. Once the Boots were attached to her feet, she used them, making her run as fast as Hermes and she could now even run on walls.
Alecto hovered over to her lover, as she didn't need the Boots to go to the top of any wall.
As Calliope and Alecto made their way out of the area, they saw dozens of Olympian servants being executed by Zeus' undead soldiers. "No! Please, don't-" A woman screamed as she begged not to be killed but it fell into deaf ears to the undead soldier and cut off her head!
Calliope and Alecto then came to rescue them. After killing all the undead soldiers, three armed cyclops appeared. But Calliope and Alecto were able to kill them quickly thanks to Calliope using the speed of Hermes's boots. But after saving the servants, they noticed that they were terribly sick from some plague. Calliope used the amulet to heal them, and it worked!
The servants thanked them, but then Calliope told them. "Find somewhere to hide! Do not come out until the battle is over!"
They all nodded and ran to safety. And after opening the door, Calliope and Alecto got back into the room where the Flame of Olympus was kept, but were now at a level above it.
After opening several chests around the room, the 2 lovers went through a hallway where Sirens and undead soldiers appeared but Calliope and Alecto killed them all before going up circle stairs and kicking the gate entrance open. The 2 lovers then figured out that the obstacle in front of them was a puzzle clue to the giant instrument.
After Alecto went up and arranged the image of the golden sword to the right way, Calliope then played the instrument, using the right notes and making the Flame to rise a level higher before Alecto joined her lover and Calliope pulled the lever, making the platform they were on go down before they killed heavily shielded undead soldiers using a Gorgon's stone gaze power to turn them to stone before shattering them until the platform got to a level below the Flame. After going to a circle staircase through a secret passage that closed behind them, Calliope and Alecto went up the stairs and got to the level the Flame was moved to.
Calliope wanted to figure out more about the Flame, to learn the true purpose of the Chains of Balance and what the largest cubes in the Caverns were meant for. So she used Helios' head to shine on some walls and saw more information on it.
THE MUSES
IN MUSIC UNTOLD TRUTHS BE SPOKE TO THOSE WILLING TO HEAR IT. JOIN YOUR VOICE TO THE MUSES' SONG AND LIFT OLYMPUS' BURDEN
The part about the Muses made some sense, but when Calliope and Alecto checked the other wall, it started to get more confused
GEAR OF BURDEN
WITH THE WEIGHT OF OLYMPUS UPON IT, THE GEAR OF BURDEN IS NOT EASILY MOVED, REQUIRING A GREAT SACRIFICE TO FREE THE HEART OF THE LABYRINTH
"The Labyrinth? What labyrinth does it mean, Calliope?" Alecto asked.
Calliope shook her head as she had no idea. But as they looked at the third and last painting on the wall, they were shocked to see that in the painting, in the shining blue fire, was a girl that looked identical to Pandora!
"What the...? Is that... Pandora?" Calliope asked herself and Alecto.
And from what they read, it said:
HEART OF THE LABYRINTH
BEATING IN THE HEART OF THE LABYRINTH IS A PASSION GREAT ENOUGH TO DOUSE EVEN THE FLAME OF OLYMPUS, AND LAY BARE THE POWER THAT LIES WITHIN
"The heart of the Labyrinth...?" Alecto asked, starting to wander something. Then her eyes went wide as she finally understood what those cubes and the small blue fire in the Cavern were. "Calliope! Those cubes! They are not just some kind of puzzle. It's a labyrinth!"
Calliope started to understand it too, but it didn't make any sense why Zeus would construct a labyrinth in the heart of Olympus.
Calliope then looked again at the young woman's image. It was really Pandora. But then she thought about the Chains of Balance. "The Chains... they hold the balance of power within Olympus. If this 'Labyrinth' is the heart of it, then it is the key to destroy the foundations of Olympus."
Alecto agreed on that, but didn't understand how Pandora was on these ancient paintings. "But how come that Pandora is on a... painting that is just as old as Olympus itself?"
Calliope had no idea, but then looked determined to her lover. "We will find this out, sooner or later."
Calliope and Alecto then went to the floor above, where the Flame was now placed at, with a handle to turn it around the flame structure. As Calliope pushed it, the structure was about to drop and the chain to be pulled up. But then Calliope couldn't push the handle further as it was stuck. Alecto saw that the chain also didn't move anymore. She figured that it was the Three Judges that held the Chain in the Underworld as the paintings showed them.
Calliope sighed as she released the handle, letting the flame structure to keep hold of the Flame.
"We'll figure out how to retrieve the Box later, baby." Alecto ensured her lover, making Calliope nod.
But then, a door opened and they went through, killing monsters along the way until Calliope and Alecto reached 'The Forum.'
Calliope and Alecto went out of the hallway, entering The Forum. The place in Olympus that once held many theater plays. Both Calliope and Alecto remembered very well that they went to see a few theater plays in this place with their daughter and Pandora when they were younger. But now, The Forum had become a shadow of its former self, as Zeus had turned the place into a fighting stage for warriors and soldiers to fight each other to the death.
When Calliope and Alecto walked inside to the 'fighting grounds', they were greeted by someone above in the VIP section. It was the Queen of Olympus and wife of Zeus. Hera.
"Bravo. Bravo. Our heroes have arrived. Applause for the daughter of another bastard child of Zeus and her Fury companion. Just in time for the final act." Hera said as she walked from her seat, nearly tripping over and took a big sip from her wine glass.
Both Calliope and Alecto scowled, seeing Zeus' wife.
"Hera." Calliope said coldly.
Hera then looked at Calliope. "You look terrible, darling. Still wanting to kill my husband, I suppose?"
"You know we seek revenge on Zeus." Calliope answered, trying to control her anger.
Hera shrugged as she took another big sip of wine. "Can't say that I blame any of you. Since you killed my son, Ares, fear of you consumes him, Calliope."
This time Alecto stepped in and said with a fierce look to Hera. "His fears will not matter when he is dead."
"I'll drink to that." Hera answered as she drank her whole wine glass empty.
Both lovers wanted answers from Hera, so Alecto asked fiercely. "Hera, we seek Pandora."
Hera raised an eyebrow when Alecto mentioned Hephaestus' daughter. "Pandora? That wretched little thing my son Hephaestus created, that keeps hanging around with your pathetic half breed daughter of yours?"
Calliope's anger rose after Hera insulted Sylvia. "How dare you call our daughter like that! You're not even half of what she is." Calliope said back, making Hera laugh.
But as she saw that they still waited for an answer, Hera asked. "What? Did you both hit your heads on a wall or something? Pandora is dead. Surely you would know that, since my husband killed her months ago."
"YOU LIE, HERA! We know that Pandora is still alive and held prisoner by your husband! NOW TELL US WHERE ZEUS IS HOLDING HER!"
Hera could see that they'd figured out the truth. "So, you've figured out the truth, huh?" She asked with a smirk. "Well, we can't have you do that, my dears." She said before she sat back at her seat and commanded someone. "Destroy them."
Calliope and Alecto could feel and hear giant footsteps coming from the same corridor where they came from. The large footsteps became louder and louder, till a giant man stepped out. It was the demigod, Hercules.
The demigod looked with contempt at Calliope. "Hello, niece."
"This is not between us, Hercules." Calliope said to the one who she now knows is her uncle, trying to avoid conflict with him.
Hercules kept looking fierce at Calliope, being so jealous and said. "Isn't it? You were always Zeus' favorite."
Calliope now looked as fierce as Hercules to him. "I think the air of Olympus has started to affect your thinking, uncle. Zeus has no favorites."
Hercules wanted to prove her wrong. "Think about it, Calliope. While I was stuck cleaning the Augean Stables, he chose you and Alecto to destroy Ares."
Both Calliope and Alecto raised an eyebrow at him.
"Not convinced?" Hercules asked as he started to walk circles around the two lovers. "How about this? While you were being crowned the Goddess of War and your lover and daughter granted to stay on Olympus, I was sent to find an 'Apple'." Hercules' frustration started to make Hera laugh as Hercules went on. "They called them Labors. Hah! Perhaps Zeus did allow me to kill the Nemean Lion but he made both your names known amongst the people. A Fury, being redeemed. A fierce warrior, a killer made a heroine. A heroine made a Goddess! But this time, Calliope. This time I will destroy you and Alecto."
Both Calliope and Alecto looked with even more disgust as Hercules was willing to stop at nothing to kill them both.
Hercules then told further as the Forum started to fill with more undead soldiers. "Call it my thirteenth and final labor. When you're both dead, my father will greatly reward me! Soon I will be the NEW God of War and claim the throne of Ares for myself!"
Calliope despised what Hercules wanted to accomplish. "I always knew that you were a jerk. But that you could lower yourself like this is not making you worthy of being a hero of Greece."
Alecto then gave Hercules one final warning. "Beware yourself, Hercules. Every God, every monster that has tried again and again to kill us has failed, and all of them are dead. If you try to stop us, you will die as well."
Hercules just smirked as he jumped on the balcony of the VIP section. "We'll see about that."
Calliope and Alecto then easily dealt with Hercules' undead soldiers before the demigod decided that enough was enough. "I will take care of them myself!" He said as 2 of his soldiers put his Nemean Cestus on his arms before he punched them away and jumped down to face the 2 lovers.
While Calliope dealt with Hercules' undead soldiers, Alecto used her blades to slash her lover's uncle he tried charging the former Fury queen but she caught the punch and used her strength to pick him up and run him into the spikes on the walls, stabbing him enough to tear off his armor and his helmet!
"Armor is for weaklings, Alecto!" Hercules said before punching the floor, sending out a shockwave that killed the rest of the undead soldiers while the 2 lovers avoided it. They then began to avoid his strong Nemean Cestus while getting some good counterattacks before Hercules used his Nemean Cestus to send out a very loud ringing that stunned the Ghost of Sparta and former Fury queen before Alecto got behind him while he was boasting to Hera about his impending victory and punched him in the hip, sending him down to his knee before Alecto stabbed his right arm and got the Nemean Cestus on it before putting it on her arm and punching Hercules into the gate, making him lose the other one before Alecto put it on as well and used their strength to greatly hurt Hercules before the demigod used his strength to lift the platform, intending to make Calliope fall so Alecto would try to save her lover. But Calliope got himself back on the platform before using her strength to bring it down on Hercules' legs!
Hercules knew he was beaten and decided to make 1 last insult to Calliope and Alecto. "Go ahead and kill me, pathetic whores! I'm sure your half-bred daughter is nothing short of worthless and a filthy whoring bitch like both her mothers!"
But that insult their warrior princess only saved to make Calliope and Alecto even more angry before Alecto pounded her new Nemean Cestus into Hercules' face very fast while yelling in rage, destroying and disfiguring is so badly that only his skull was showing before she gave out 1 last punch that made the floor give out beneath them, sending them falling into water before Calliope and Alecto resurfaced while leaving Hercules' corpse behind.
The 2 lovers then went through the underground tunnels and got to an open area where Alecto used her new Nemean Cestus to kill the undead soldiers, making the barriers around them dissolve before she used her new weapons to completely shatter the big blue crystal to reveal a lever.
"Well, these will definitely come in great handy, baby. Both for killing enemies and breaking the big crystals we encountered on the way here." Alecto said with a smile.
"Indeed they will, baby." Calliope said before pulling the lever, making the bars they saw when they fell into the water earlier open before seeing heavily shielded undead soldiers block their way. Calliope then looked at Alecto with a smirk. "Baby, show these undead bastards what happens to things that block our way."
"With pleasure, baby." Alecto said before using her Nemean Cestus to shatter the shields and kill the undead soldiers before they went back to the water and went through the underwater entrance and swam to the other side until they reached Poseidon's Chamber.
When they surfaced, several heavily shielded undead soldiers and wild dogs appeared. While Calliope easily killed the dogs with her blades, Alecto dealt with the undead soldiers with her Nemean Cestus until they were all dead.
Calliope then opened the nearby gates. But as they moved through the 1st gate, they couldn't go further as the 2nd gate closed too quickly and there was nothing to hold the mechanism for them.
But then, they heard a woman nearby calling. "Is someone there? Please! Help!"
Calliope and Alecto went to investigate and found a beautiful half-naked young woman trapped in a big room behind bars. Her large breasts and voluptuous figure were exposed by her outfit, as she was wearing a tiara in her hair and was also barefooted.
The woman was shocked to see Calliope and Alecto before her. "You! You are Lady Alecto and Lady Calliope. Please," First she wanted them to help her, but then changed her mind. "No, I do not need your help." And crawled away from the bars.
Calliope tried to calm her. "You don't need to be afraid. We can help you."
The woman shook her head heavily. "No! I don't want any help!"
Calliope and Alecto looked at each other confused. Why did this damsel in distress want help first but not anymore. Normally they would leave anyone who didn't want to be saved, but both felt they needed to help this one.
Alecto whispered to her lover. "We can't leave her like this."
"I agree." Calliope said while pointing to a portal in the room. "That portal in her cell, we should check where we can get in. Seems easier than trying to break these bars for this 'Poseidon Princess'."
Alecto nodded, agreeing with her lover. And after solving some puzzles and fighting many enemies, both made it to the prison cell of the Poseidon Princess.
The young woman was lying on some pillows, like it was her bed or something. She was shocked to see both women now in her chamber before she got up quickly to stay away from them. "No! Please... please... leave me be! I beg of you."
Alecto walked up to her. "Calm down, we don't want to hurt you."
"No! Stay away!" The Poseidon Princess tried to stay away from Alecto, but she couldn't because of the cuffs that bound her hands to a chain to the palace floor.
Alecto stood close to her.
"Don't hurt me. Show mercy!"
Then Alecto held her close to her, trying to calm her. "We are not going to hurt you. We just want to help."
Slowly the Poseidon Princess calmed down. Then she burst into tears before she sobbed on Alecto's shoulder, while she stroked her hair. "Shhh, it's alright. You're safe."
Calliope then rubbed the princess' back and asked. "Why are you imprisoned here?"
She wiped away her tears and answered. "I... Poseidon, he... he brought me here and... he..." Words failed her as the memories were too painful.
Calliope checked the room and imagined why she was locked up here by Poseidon. Her half-naked outfit. Burned out candles. Tools around the room to use for sex and parts of her body showing signs of abuse. Calliope frowned as she knew why this girl was here. She was Poseidon's sex-slave.
Calliope rubbed the girl's cheek and asked. "You were not brought here by choice, right?"
The girl shook her head.
"Tell us. Why did Poseidon bring you here?" Alecto asked.
The girl sighed and started to tell. "I... I was one time playing at the beach with my sisters, when a man came to me. He seemed to admire me. I was cautious, for I didn't know who he was. But slowly, as the weeks went by, we got to know each other better and I slowly started to trust him. He said that he was a wealthy man, coming from a far away land. He offered me many things if I came along with him as his bride. It was tempting, but I was already engaged to someone else, so I said no to him. He became angry and said that no one says no to him, so I left. Then, a few days later, when I was about to take for a swim in the sea, something dragged me further into the open water... I tried as hard as I could to swim back... but it was to no avail. Then I saw in the water who it was that dragged me in further, it was the same man who I denied. He took me further and further into the ocean, until I came to Olympus. Then I realized... It was Poseidon who asked me to come with him. He locked me away, till I said I'll marry him. I begged him to let me go home, but he wouldn't. For many nights he came to me. He... he raped me, over... and over... and over again!" She sobbed again, for it was hard for her to tell anyone.
Alecto held her close, allowing her to let it all out. Calliope stroked her back.
Then she said to them. "I... I was to remain a virgin, but now that I am not... no man will ever have me at home. He... he even said that now I was his, no one will ever take me back... that now I am nothing but a ugly filthy whore."
"And you believed that?" Calliope asked, surprised.
The Poseidon Princess didn't answer.
Calliope and Alecto looked at each other. They wanted to help her to forget all these horrible memories and lies that Poseidon placed in her mind.
Alecto held her chin and raised her head. "Whatever Poseidon said about you, he was dead wrong. You are a very beautiful woman, one of the fairest we have seen in a long time." She said while glancing at Calliope, who nodded.
The young woman smiled a bit. "Really?"
Both lovers nodded. "Yes. You are." Calliope said before she came closer to her, stroking her chin. "We can make you forget all the things that Poseidon ever did to you."
"How?" She asked.
Calliope took her cuffed hands and put them slowly on her breasts. The princess blinked a few times as Calliope let her rub them. Calliope moaned as the girl touched them. She never held other women's breasts before. But somehow, she seemed to like it. Alecto then kissed her on the cheek a few times. She closed her eyes as the two women made her... turned on.
Calliope loosened her cuffs but she and Alecto were not going to force the Poseidon Princess to have sex with them if she didn't want it.
Calliope softly whispered into her ears. "We won't force you to do anything sexy. If you don't want it... you can go now. Or...'
The young woman looked at Calliope, without stopping her hands from touching her breasts before she began to smile and kept rubbing them slowly, making Calliope moan while biting her lip.
Alecto then rubbed the princess' breasts from behind her back, which made her gasp. But then she started to moan too. Poseidon never took his time with her and it felt so good what Calliope and Alecto did to her.
She loosened Calliope's cape and untied her bra, revealing her breasts to her. She found them beautiful and looked to Calliope to ask if it was okay.
