Summary: Morgana and Gwen are tending to Mordred, and, in doing so, they hear a voice.
The boy was feverish, but, in the midst of tending to him, she heard a voice, almost as clear as day.
"Morgana."
She hid her surprise as he mistress turned to her, shock in her eyes. "Did you hear that?"
It gave Gwen pause. Magic. It had to be. In a panic, she shook her head and lied. "What?"
"He said my name." Morgana was insistent.
She wanted to be honest. However, Gwen had to live a lie. Yes, it hurt, but it had to be this way, even with her closest friend.
"Did he? I didn't hear anything..."
You'd think that since I have a bunch of these pre-written I'd be better about posting these things? No? Well, maybe since I have a lowkey angst one lined up next, maybe I'll be motivated enough to post it!
