Prompt: From goodgirl275: Prompt: Gwaine as Sherlock Holmes tries and fails to unravel the mysteries of Merlin

Rating: K+

Genre: Friendship/Humor

Characters: Gwaine, Arthur, other Knights of the Round Table

Time Frame: Post Season 3

Summary: Gwaine tried to convince them all of the truth, but maybe it was a good thing that no one believed him.

Let's Go On An Adventure

Gwaine didn't know where he got the hat from, but it fit. "So," he asked his fellow knights, "any questions?"

Percival had been nodding along. Lancelot looked like he was hiding something. Elyan looked confused. Leon looked done. Arthur was just incredulous.

"You think Merlin has magic," Arthur stated, but he didn't look like he was going to murder anyone.

"How do you explain the flying plates? Or the falling tree branches?" Didn't anyone else realize this?

"You've been drinking too much mead, my friend," Percival pointed out.

Everyone agreed, and oddly enough, Lancelot looked relieved.

Of course, this was written with the intention that Gwaine knows that no one is gonna do anything about Merlin's magic, just to clear that up :P

The truth is, I lost some of my original docs, but I remembered that I gave Gwaine the classic Sherlock Holmes hat. If any of you watch Sherlock, this scene was partly inspired by Anderson's Sherlock fan club conspiracy theories following the Reichenbach Fall.

Up next: Arthur gets drunk and says some things he shouldn't.
