Multiverse Loaded: Drowning in the Darkness
(Trigger warning: mentions of suicide and self-harm)
A few moments pass before the large theater screen shows the next scene.
In a dark alleyway, a young boy, about 12 years old, slowly pulls himself out of a large dumpster. He falls over the edge and crashes onto the floor. It takes a few minutes for the boy to crawl away from the dumpster. Using the wall, he slowly gets into an upright position. His green hair is caked with mud and blood. His beautiful green eyes are dull and void of life. He doesn't have the energy to cry anymore. After what feels like forever, he gets up and limps home.
A few students gasp at the state their friend was in. Many wondered how Izuku even got into such a state.
The apartment is dark as Izuku opened the door. The silence was deafening. He drags his body to his bedroom with was bare. There was only a small lumpy mattress on the floor in the corner of the room, a few bags filled with clothes, and a small bookcase. Midoriya takes off his school jacket and gently rests it by the bookcase. He then grabs a first aid kit that was previously hidden behind some books. Carefully, he begins to clean and bandage his wounds. Suddenly, a door slams causing Izuku to flinch.
"Who's that?" Uraraka whispers. Izuku can't help but stare at the state of the room. He has so many questions running through his mind. 'Where is mom? Why is the apartment such a mess? Where is all the stuff that goes in my room? Did Kacchan and his friends throw me in the dumpster?' He quietly mumbles these questions to himself.
Izuku hears a glass breaking and then footsteps stomp towards his door. He curls into a ball pulling his legs close to his chest to appear as small as possible. Izuku watches his bedroom door slowly creek open. Standing in the doorway is his mother looking quite disheveled. Her long green hair is up in a messy bun, her clothes wrinkled, her makeup messed up and she looks pissed off.
"Weren't you supposed to make sure dinner is done before I get home?" Even though her voice is low, it is still filled with anger. "You useless brat. Can't even follow simple directions. I should have thrown you away when everyone said to. Maybe then Hisashi wouldn't have left." Using her quirk, Inko tosses a heavy book at her son's head. Izuku winces in pain when the book collides with his skull. He doesn't move until he is sure his mother is gone. He raises his hand to make sure he wasn't bleeding, which he wasn't, and quietly gets up. Moving as quietly as a mouse, Izuku makes it to the bathroom. He could barely recognize himself in the mirror. Bruises covered his face, neck, and arms. His body aches as he moves to sit on the edge of the bathtub.
Many students watch in horror. They couldn't believe what they were watching. Their lovable green bean was being abused. By his own mother and classmates. It's heartbreaking to watch. Izuku is mortified. His own mother was so cruel.
The villains, who have seen such behaviors in their own families, were oddly silent. Toga's usual smile disappeared from her face. The scene reminded her of her own experiences with her parents.

Izuku bends to grab a razor blade he hid behind the stack of toilet rolls. Tears slowly roll down his chubby cheeks as he pulls his pants down. Old cut marks were spread all over his thighs. He lifts the blade to his left thigh and creates a shallow cut. It barely bleeds so he continues to cut until his thighs are a bloody mess. Izuku turns the faucet on and turns so his feet sit in the tub. He then cups his hand to gather the water. The water feels like ice against his raw skin. Cleaning up the blood took a while but Izuku manages. He wraps his thighs in long bandages after drying them with a towel. Next, Izuku cleans the blade, dries it, and puts it back in his hiding spot. When he stands up, he's a little dizzy due to the amount of blood he just lost.
** You can look now.
Aizawa, though keeping a neutral face, is mortified. To think this could happen to his own student. "Definitely mandating counseling for the problem child. I wonder how similar he is to his otherworldly version." He whispers to himself. Many of the other teachers were thinking along the same lines.
Once in bed, if you could even call a lumpy dirty mattress a bed, Izuku forces himself to sleep. His stomach protested wanting food but he knew better than to go to the kitchen when his mother was home.
Morning rolls around sooner than Izuku would have liked but he forces himself to get up anyway. Giving his body a quick wash he replaced his dirty, bloody bandages and got ready for school. He cooks some breakfast for his mother then leaves for school. Only grabbing an apple for himself.

The day passes the same as every other and once again Izuku drags his beaten body home. After a while of walking, he stops. He's just tired. Tired of feeling less than human. Tired of his former best friend pushing him around. Tired of his mom berating him. Tired of being in pain all the time.
Izuku turns around and walks back to his school. It was empty. Everyone clears out fairly quickly. He slowly makes his way to the roof. Once there, he takes a deep breath. He pulls out his phone and types a short message to Bakugo. Thank you for the advice Kacchan. I think I'll follow it now. I hope your dream of being the number 1 hero comes true as mine will now. I'll finally be free. Goodbye Katsuki Bakugo. Izuku takes off his shoes and rests them next to his broken bookbag. He puts his phone in his bag then climbs over the edge. He takes another deep breath and finally smiles. "With this, I'll be free." Tears freely flow down his face. "It's not like anyone will miss me anyway." He tips his body forward and lets gravity do the rest. "Goodbye." He whispers to the wind as he falls.
** Nothing too graphic but better be safe than sorry. You can continue from here.
The UA students gasp and some even cry. Bakugo clenches his fist. He knew exactly what 'advice' Izuku was referring to in his message. While he didn't outwardly express it, Bakugo was horrified that Midoriya would actually attempt to kill himself. Aizawa notices the slight change in Bakugo's behavior and vows to get to the bottom of it when they get out of this space.

I never want to accidentally trigger anyone. Please comment below any suggestions you may have. I'd love to hear from my audience.
Have a great day/night.
