I Can't Go to a Hero School with my Little Sister!

Okay, uh, most of the characters have have powers and Kyousuke has powers and, uh, he goes to a hero school with his sister Kirino and he saves the world and the universe and stuff, doesn't get anymore complicated then that, I swear.

15. Chapter 15

Na: "So now that she has a device installed in her too, what data does it show?"

Ni: "It seems even when her core is dormant it's still synchronized with Kyousuke's, constantly sharing information."

Na: "Do you think it'll make her immortal too?"

Ni: "Nope, at least not by itself, her core works at a much lesser capacity."

Na: "Because it's so new?"

Ni: "No, that's just the way it is, so at most it could heal some fatal wounds or absorb some incoming damage though I believe that the main function of the lesser core is to provide aid to Kyousuke in times of need like at the hospital and possibly give him a short power boost. I also theorize that in emergencies when in close proximity to Kyousuke it could be capable of granting her all the same abilities as his."

Na: "So she's potentially as much of a threat as he is and our situation has become doubly worse."

Ni: "Maybe, though given the bond they've developed so far I'm pretty sure separating them would only expedite the oncoming of such a catastrophe, so for now it would be safest to keep them together."

Na: "Haah maybe you're right though it's not like it's my call anymore."

Ar: "Given what you did at the Reranking Tournament I have a feeling that wouldn't stop you from trying anyway."

Na: "Hmph, do you think this happened because of the feelings she has for him."

Ni: "No."

Ar: "Do you think maybe he wants to bone her too now?"

Ni: "Uh, no, at least that's not something I can assume from my findings."

Na: "What should we do if he does decide to reciprocate her feelings?"

Ni: "I don't know, this is new territory for me I need to do more research, just thank his creator that he's sterile. Anyway, I think the best course of action is to continue monitoring their implants and perform some occasional testing, other than that we should leave them be."

Kousaka Apartment

Ky: "Hey, Kirino they're here!"

Ki: "Hm, what is it?"

Mo: I-i-i?

Ky: "Our uniforms, they finally got them done."

Ki: "Ooh, I want to try mine on."

Ky: "Well here you go."

Kirino grabbed her uniform and ran to the bathroom, within a few minutes she came out. The uniform consisted of a black knee-length pencil skirt, a white button up shirt neatly tucked into the skirt that had the school emblem sown onto the left side, a black tie with an iridescent red shine to it and a black jacket with gold trim and red buttons also sporting the school emblem for cold weather.

Ki: "So how do I look?~"

Ar: "Damn girl, you lookin fine."

Ki: "A-Arika what are you doing here?!"

Ar: "Got bored so I thought I'd pop in to hang out with Mochi here."

Ki: "Where's Kyousuke?"

Ar: "He went into your bedroom to try on his uniform."

Ki: "Oh, hm, this uniform makes me look like a business lady. Heh, you know, sometimes when I walk through this school, I think I accidentally wandered into a corporate building."

Ar: "Yeah I totally get that, guess the designer thought that the students would look more respectable dressed like corporate drones. Hey, I think I know a way to improve your look."

Ki: "How?"

Ar: "Let me see your hair."

Ki: "Hey! What are you doing?! Let go of my hair!"

Ar: "Hold still, I know what I'm doing."

Kirino calmed down as Arika tied her hair into a bun leaving the two long locks framing her face to hang, then she summoned a pair of wooden bun sticks and a pair of fake square frame glasses.

Ar: "…Okay now put on these glasses."

Ki: "Um, okay."

Arika then summoned a floor length mirror and set it in front of Kirino.

Ar: "Now, look."

Ki: "Whoa…I look good, but why the glasses?"

Ar: "Oh, uh, I just thought it brought the whole look together."

Ki: "Hm, maybe, I still think they're a little unnecessary."

Ky: "Man, this material feels amazing."

Ki: "{blush}Whoa."

Ar: "Hot damn boy! You clean up nice!"

Ky: "Uh, thanks."

Ar: "Hey Kyousuke?~ Look at your sister, doesn't she look hot."

Ky: "Eh?"

Kyousuke looked Kirino up and down but once he looked at the glasses on her face and her hairstyle exposing her neck, he actually began to blush.

Ky: "{blush} Um, she certainly looks…mature."

Ki: "Th-Thanks."

Kyousuke's uniform was a pair of creased black slacks, a red button-up shirt, a jacket and tie similar to Kirino's and a black vest with a silk tapestry pattern.

Ar; "I still can't get over how good you look in that, you should really dress like this more often."

Ky: "Please, I look like a damn mobster in this or a like a fancy waiter."

Ar: "Well you can definitely take my order."

Ki: "You're barking up the wrong tree Arika, this guy has no sense of fashion."

Ky: "Hmph."

Ki: "B-But still, even I have to admit…you look really good in that."

Ky: "I do? Heh, coming from you, that's saying something."

"Happy New Year!"

Ky: "Yeah yeah, Happy New Year."

As Kyousuke was reading some manga before class started, one of the more energetic students was going around giving their New Years greeting to everyone.

Ky: Jeez I'm actually starting to miss Kirino, should've changed the contract so she could be my classmate too but I'd need to challenge someone more influential.

"Alright everyone, in your seats, time for class."

Several minutes into the teacher's droning Kyousuke noticed someone put a note on his desk, he looked to see who it was but the student that passed it discretely gestured to someone further back. Kyousuke then looked back to see a dark-skinned boy with brown hair staring directly at him and using his eyes to gesture towards the note.

Ky: "Hm?"

Kyousuke looked back at the note and quietly opened it up.

|I'm a contact for Aoi, join me for lunch later, meet me in the men's room then we can meet somewhere private.|

Ky: Aoi has secret contacts now? Well I'm going to have to tell Kirino she'll be eating alone.

So when lunch time came around Kyousuke headed to the nearby men's room where the boy was waiting for him.

Ky: "Uh, hey."

Rather than answer him he looked back at the door silently for a few seconds before pulling another note out of his pocket and handed it to him.

Ky: "Huh?"

|Don't talk, Let's meet back at your place, write down your dorm number.|

Ky: "Hmm."

Kyousuke wrote down his dorm number and handed the note back after which the boy then handed Kyousuke some money.

"Buy him something on your way."

He then immediately left the bathroom, so after grabbing some prepackaged food from the campus store Kyousuke headed to his dorm where he waited.

Ky: "That guy was really acting paranoid, if we really were being watched wouldn't him coming here draw attention."

"I have ways around that."

Ky: "PFFFFF!"

Kyousuke turned to see a different guy who had somehow entered his dorm without making a single sound, he was a grungy looking pretty boy with medium length dyed black hair who talked with abnormally adult-like voice.

Ky: "Whoa, who are you? H-How did you get in here?!"

"Names Renji Honjo, Aoi's contact, enrolled just last year, how I got in here? It's thanks to my power, short range teleportation, I can teleport just about anything that I touch with my hands that has around the same weight as I do to any location within a hundred feet of me."

Ky: "Huh, that's certainly a neat ability, well here's your food."

Re: "Thanks."

Ky: "So what's the deal with that kid that gave me the note?"

Re: "He has a crush on me so he did that for me as a favor."

Ky: "Oh, so you're-"

Re: "Absolutely not."

Ky: "…Well, why'd you wait so long to get in touch with me?"

Re: "I wanted to see how long you'd last here before I decided to confide in you, plus with the holidays I didn't want to ruin the mood."

Ky: "I see, then care to tell me your story? Why you're helping us?"

Re: "…My best friend was one of the students that Akihiko undercut, we were both from the Ibaraki prefecture before we transferred, made it a condition to bring me along once he was accepted."

Ky: "I see, what happened to him?"

Re: "The usual, bullied by students and staff with no way of getting help, his grades suffered and his powers never functioned the same after that so he eventually became one of the few that had to drop out, he's now attending Ibaraki High as a normal student."

Ky: "That's a shame, I assume you stayed in order to find a way to bring him down?"

Re: "Yeah, I've tried getting evidence but that asshole's goons always manage to keep things hidden and the other students are either too scared or too far up his ass to do anything about it."

Ky: "Well that's why I'm here."

Re: "What do you plan on doing."

Ky: "Easy, I'm going to take his title."

Re: "Pff…pahahahaha! You plan on beating Akihiko, the Kanto champion?!"

Ky: "Hey don't be so loud."

Re: "I'm sorry but, that's just impossible, even if you are able to deal with all the bullying, Akihiko is still a force to be reckoned with, there's a reason he's called The Solar Prince."

Ky: "Yeah well let's just say the guy made my very short hit list and when you make my hit list there's very few things that'll stop me before the name is crossed off."

Re: "Do you at least have a Plan B in case that doesn't work out?"

Ky: "Yeah but I prefer to keep that to myself, if you don't mind."

Re: "Hey if we're going to work together you have to be upfront with me."

Ky: "I'm willing to work with you but how do I know I can trust you? For all I know you could be working for Akihiko to weed out any threats against him, then there's also the chance he interrogates you to figure out our plans."

Re: "You do realize he's still just a high school student."

Ky: "Yeah a high school student both willing and capable of doing anything with the influence he has over everyone and has ruined several lives in the process."

Re: "Not gonna lie man, you're not giving me a lot of hope here."

Ky: "That's my specialty but seriously Akihiko is going down, you can count on that, even if it takes me until graduation."

Re: "So you're prepared for the long con, eh? Well makes no difference to me but if that's your plan that sort of makes me irrelevant."

Ky: "No, on the contrary, while I keep his attention on me, I want you to keep trying to get dirt on him and not just him, also the staff here that have enabled his behavior. By the time this is all over this entire school will be cleaned of its filth and it will once again become a shining bastion of heroism in Japan…please forget what I just said."

Re: "Really? You were actually kind of inspiring there for-"

Ky: "Forget it right now or I'm ratting you out to Akihiko."

Re: "Uh, okay, done, anyway I'll be going."

Ky: "Alright then, til next time."

Re: "Oh, one more thing, watch out who you accept challenges from, there are students always trying to collect information for Akihiko to weaponize and they'll use any means to extract it. If you do end up getting cornered, don't think you'll be able to keep anything from them there are students here with the power to scour minds for any secrets and listen to even the quietest whispers, these walls have ears that are always listening."

Renji disposed of his garbage before he disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Ky: "…Well shit."

At the end of the school day Kyousuke met back up with Kirino at the dorm and she was pissed.

{Bonk!}

Ki: "What the hell jackass!?"

Ky: "Agh! I'm sorry! I just needed to meet with Aoi's contact."

Ki: "A contact? Hmm, well why couldn't I come along?"

Ky: "Didn't want to draw too much attention by having you follow me into the dorm during lunch plus people would talk about what you and me are doing in private."

{Thwack!}

Ki: "Gross! Don't even joke about that you perv!"

Ky: "Agh! Stop hitting me you bitch!"

Ki: "Haah, so what did the "contact" have to say?"

Ky: "…"

Instead of speaking out loud, Kyousuke wrote everything down on paper intending on burning it afterwards.

Ki: "Wow so it really is true."

Ky: "Told you."

Ki: "Why hasn't anyone done anything about it yet? You'd think an outside authority would've noticed by now."

Ky: "Didn't I already tell you? He's using his control over everyone to keep everything covered up."

Ki: "Still something should've gotten out."

Ky: "Goes to show how thorough he is, he's even been able to maintain Tokyo Academy's good reputation despite practically every top rank in Kanto being snuffed out."

Ki: "Haah, well whatever, let's forget about that for now, I'm sure you know what time it is."

Ky: Not again~

Since Kirino didn't have track practice after school anymore and didn't want to join THA's track team to avoid competing with her friends at CHA, Kirino needed a way to stay in shape for her eventual return. So she decided to step up Kyousuke's training regiment to make up for that and it was a good idea too given that Kyousuke would be facing much stronger opponents.

Ki: "Come on, keep those legs moving! I want to see you sweating puddles! Move it! Move it!"

Ky: "You, gah, frickin harpy, hah, we already passed the four mile mark!"

Ki: "We're here to push you past your limits and if you keep whining like a little bitch I'm adding another mile!"

Ky: "Just. One. More. Steeeeee, hih, eeeeEEEEEEEP! {Collapse!} Okay I'm done."

Ki: "Alright we'll call it, though, for you, four miles is still pretty amazing, we'll break five miles next time."

Ky: "Ugh, thanks."

"Hey look, it's lonely girl."

"Hahaha."

"Hey is that your boyfriend on the ground?"

"Nah, that's her brother."

"Bet she's still doing him though."

Ky: "Huh? Who are those cunts?"

Ki: "Just ignore them."

As Kyousuke was in the middle for recovering, a group of other students, four girls and two boys, walked onto the field and began hassling them.

Ki: "Those fart snorters have been bugging me every chance they get since we transferred and they decided to really lean in to me when you left me alone at lunch."

Ky: "Why didn't you say anything about them earlier?"

Ki: "Because they weren't worth mentioning."

Ky: "Still Kirino even if we were on bad terms again I'd still want to know when you're being bullied, it can seem harmless now but it can turn to psychological torcher at the drop of a hat."

Ki: "You know, it's really hard to take you seriously when you're laying on the ground like that."

Ar: "He's right you know."

Ki: "Oh great Ms. Chokesondick."

Ar: "Damn right and honestly I had to go through the same thing when I still attended normal high school and I was still maintaining my chastity like a good girl, then some plain Janes thought I was too pretty and decided to spread rumors that I was a whore and for some reason everyone believed them, including the teachers. It was a living hell for me until I decided to make the rumors true by banging all their boyfriends of course that got me expelled but seeing their faces after I exacted my revenge was still pretty damn sweet."

Ky: "Okay, even I have to admit that's pretty damn sad."

Ki: "Yeah, no wonder you're so messed up."

Ar; "And you'll probably end up the same if you don't deal with them ASAP."

Ki: "No, if I ignore them eventually they'll get bored and find someone else to pick on."

Ar: "That's not how it works but whatever, don't say I didn't warn you."

Ky: "And I'll be the one saying "she told you so" when that plan ends up blowing up in your face."

Ki: "Hmph."

"Hey look she's with the Harlot of THA."

"Maybe she's getting slut training from her."

Ki: "…"

Ky: "You know what? Fuck this."

With that Kyousuke got up from the ground and walked over to the group's female leader.

Ki: "Kyousuke?"

Ky: "Alright, I had a hard time hearing you dipshits from the ground over there, so can you please repeat what you just said."

"I said your sister is a slut."

"Yeah and I bet even you had the pleasure of feeling her up."

"And filling her up, hahaha."

Ky: "…I see, then perhaps you fine skanks-"

"What!?"

Ky: "-And baby dicks-"

"Hey!"

Ky: "-Would be interested in a wager?"

"Is that a challenge?"

Ky: "Yeah, me versus all six of you at once."

"Oh? What are the stakes?"

Ky: "If I win, you knock it off with your nasty attitudes and you'll have to treat everyone at this school with the upmost respect, including the bottom ranks."

"Alright then and if we win…haah, man, it's a shame we can't make any nasty deals, I'd like to see my two boys here have at your sister."

Ky: "You people are just gross in the head, aren't you?"

"…How about this? If we win, your sister has to lick my feet."

Ky: "I'm the one challenging you, keep her out of this."

"Okay then, if we win…you have to tell us any and all secrets you have."

Ky: "What?"

"That's how we work, we keep others held under our thumbs by keeping their secrets hostage."

"You'll have to do whatever we say to keep your secrets, secret."

Ky: "Hmmm, okay then, it's a deal."

"Good then, is tonight fine with you or do you and your sister have plans?~"

Ky: "Tonight sounds perfect."

The group walked away leaving Kirino and Arika still shocked at Kyousuke's action.

Ki: "Kyousuke-"

Ky: "I know Kirino, I know I did something really stupid but I'm tired, I'm hungry and I'm in a very bad mood and right now I need an ass to kick."

Re: "Honestly I didn't think you'd be this stupid."

Ky: "Renji?"

Ki: "Where'd he come from?"

Ar: "Ooh, who's the hunk?"

Re: "I was hoping our next meeting would be under better circumstances."

Ky: "Sorry about that Renji, I just walked right into that didn't I?"

Re: "Haah, you're only human and they were really aiming for your buttons, still it's not like all hope is lost, I know them, they aren't very high level, they're all lower than you even, so maybe with a good strategy you could beat all of them. Honestly I don't know how people like that get accepted into this school, if things keep going like this it'll be difficult to tell future heroes apart from the villains."

Ar: "Wow you are so dark and brooding, it's turning me on."

Re: "The leader is an Item Summoner like Arika with a limit of forty pounds, two of them are Super Lifters, one is a Telekinetic, one is a Magnetokinetic and the last is an Energy Emitter all he can do is fire laser beams from his hands but watch out for him. Remember Kousaka, if you fail all our plans will be exposed, Akihiko will use his resources to get us all expelled and will keep hurting people."

Ky: "Yeah I get it, I'll be more careful in the future."

Re: "I hope that you will."

Renji then quickly disappeared.

Ki: "Whoa, he really can teleport."

Ar: "Cool~"

Ky: "Alright, better go get ready, later Arika."

Ar: "Yeah whatever."

Ky: "Huh, for once she didn't say something dirty to me, I should ask Renji to hang with us more often if it keeps her eyes off my ass."

Ki: "Uh, yeah."

Ky: "What's wrong with you?"

Ki: "Nothing, you know what you did was really stupid."

Ky: "Yeah we covered that already."

Ki: "Honestly after everything Renji told you, how stupid can you get?"

Ky: "Yes, yes, I get it."

Ki: "You better get it…but still I guess you did have my well being in mind so thanks for that at least."

Ky: "Heh, your thanking me? That must've been painful."

Ki: "More than you can imagine, anyway once you're done with the battle I'll give you a massage as a reward."

Ky: "Wait, seriously?!"

Ki: "Depends on if you keep your mouth shut about it."

…

"Alright you ready to get your ass blasted?"

Ky: "Well I'm sure as hell ready to do the blasting."

Everyone took their positions as small groups of students including Kirino and Arika sat spectating though half of them weren't really paying attention since they weren't really there for the battle, the stadium was just a popular hang-out spot.

"Three, two, one, begin!"

Before Kyousuke could do anything Kyousuke was frozen in place by telekinesis, then the two super lifters came up and began pummeling him all over his body, Kyousuke quickly heated the air around him forcing them to back off. Their leader then created a couple of long sledgehammers and the two lifters grabbed them and began beating Kyousuke again outside of his range.

{Boom!}

But after a minute they were suddenly blown away by a large explosion knocking down of both their HP to half. Before the dust could settle Kyousuke quickly took aim with a thermal rifle x5 and landed a headshot on the telekinetic wiping out all their HP.

{FwshBANG!}

"You are out!"

"Dammit!"

Ky: One down five to go.

{Bang!}

Kyousuke then felt a heavy impact on his chest, knocking the breath out of his lungs.

Ky: Shit, can't breathe!

He then saw the item summoner holding a beanbag gun, the other four began to approach so Kyousuke quickly pressed his hands onto his diaphragm and let loose a thermal blast onto it to reset his breathing rhythm. Then once the two lifters were in range Kyousuke froze the ground and they both slipped onto their rears.

{VVVVPPWWWWW!}

Kyousuke quickly let out a 1/3 charge thermal impact knocking them both down to zero and even knocked out a tenth of another's.

"You are both out!"

Ky: Three to go.

"Damn this guy is better than we expected, he's already taken out half of our team."

"And it's been barely five minutes."

"Calm down, we still have a numbers advantage and just look at him, he's already becoming fatigued, so all we have to is keep waring him out."

Unfortunately she was right, that last move really tired Kyousuke out even if it was only 1/3 charge but he didn't have time to rest as the others took aim, he took the full force of bean bags, energy beams and flying sledgehammers as he was pushed against the wall. Kyousuke then froze the ground around his feet until the ice was thick then applied heat to flash evaporate it into a big cloud of steam to create a smokescreen making everyone stop their assault.

"Damn, I can't see him."

"Do we keep going? I'm getting tired."

"No, we need to keep up our stamina."

Kyousuke sat down continuously freezing the ground and creating steam to rest from the beating he took and thought of the next move he was going to make.

"The steam isn't stopping, if we don't make a move soon he'll get his stamina back."

"We have to draw him out somehow…hey Kousaka?! How many times a week do you see that sister of yours bring a guy into your apartment? Bet your parents are disappointed she turned out to be such a skank…though I wouldn't doubt if your dad was partaking of her as well."

Kirino was really pissed off by that, she was ready to just jump onto the field and beat that girl within an inch of her life but then Kyousuke took action. In an instant the entire field was frozen over with an inch of frost crystals rather than slippery ice and as everyone was distracted Kyousuke took aim.

{FWSHBANG!}

He shot down the barrel of the leader's bean bag gun, completely destroying it and the shot continued on to impact her shoulder hard enough to send her flying backwards into the wall and wiped out all her HP.

Ky: "Thermal Rifle x20 bitch!"

"Holy shit!"

"You are out!"

"Whoa it's down to two."

"You think he'll actually win this?"

"This is getting interesting."

As the battle began to grab the attention of the other students, the Energy Emitter quickly fired another beam at Kyousuke but he used a thermal projection shield to disperse it though while he was doing that the Magnetokinetic lifted a bunch of heavy ball bearings from her fanny pack and sent them flying at Kyousuke at high speed. But as they got close he dodged away from the beam allowing it to destroy the ball bearings and thanks to the heat he was able to draw from the beam he quickly charged a thermal rifle x7 but before he could fire a surviving ball bearing hit his hand, causing him to miss and in that moment the emitter was able fire another beam at Kyousuke this hitting it's mark. Kyousuke was pushed against the wall and the magnetokinetic took out more ball bearings and began to severely beat Kyousuke with them but as they thought they had attained victory they began to feel an intense cold creep up their bodies causing their focus to falter, once again their assault was halted and they both looked down to see their legs encased in ice and tendrils of ice slowly crawling upward towards their torsos.

"Look at that."

"Is he going to do it?"

"W-W-What is this?!"

Ky: "Thanks for that."

"Huh?"

Ky: "Thanks to your harassment I was able push my abilities to a new level."

"C-C-Can't f-feel my l-legs, c-cant m-m-move."

Once they were fully immobilized the moderator started the countdown.

"One, two, three {whistle!} the winner is Kyousuke Kousaka!"

"He actually won!"

"Who is this guy?"

"Come on, any high rank student could've beat those scrubs."

Ky: "I did it~ {collapse} Ugh I feel like I got ran over by a mile-long train."

With the last of his strength Kyousuke heated field back up to melt out his opponents.

"We actually lost? In a six to one match? You freakin idiots! what the hell is wrong with all of you? We had this match and Akihiko's reward in the bag but you all somehow managed to screw it up-"

Ky: "Hey?"(still on the ground)

"What do you want?!"

Ky: "Did you forget about our deal? You have to treat everyone at this school with the upmost respect, that includes your little cronies."

"And you have to remember the three strike rule, I'll let this lapse of behavior slide but if you are caught breaking your promise three times then you will be demoted to bottom rank."

"…Let's go."

So the group of bullies left and as Kyousuke tried to get up, Kirino came on to the field and put his arm over her shoulders.

Ky: "Thanks."

Ki: "No problem."

Kirino helped Kyousuke to the nurse who quickly got him back on his feet and they headed back to the apartment.

Ky: "Man, I feel better but I still feel achy."

Ki: "Well then how about I give you your massage?"

Ky: "Sounds perfect."

Ki: "Alright so take off your shirt and lie on the floor."

Ky: "…Huh?"

Ki: "Take off your shirt and lay on the floor."

Ky: "Uh, I was thinking you'd just give me a shoulder massage."

Ki: "Nope, you need to maintain muscle health in order for the rest of your body to function properly, just because you're immortal doesn't mean your muscles don't get knotted up and in order to fix that you need a proper back massage."

Ky: "Since when were you an expert at massaging?"

Ki: "Since I first enrolled at CHA, because of the nature of my powers I studied into muscle health which led me to study the optimum massage techniques to achieve ideal muscular functionality and blood flow. At this point I'm basically on the level of a certified professional medical masseuse."

Ky: "Oh…well damn whatever you say then."

Kirino's lie had worked and Kyousuke proceeded to do as she asked.

Ki: Holy crap that actually worked.

Before Kyousuke could have second thoughts Kirino changed into her sports bra and tights and grabbed her massage oil and a towel before straddling Kyousuke's back.

Ky: "Uh, do you really have to sit on me? You can't do it from the side?"

Ki: "First of all, any other angle aside from this one would be uncomfortable for me, second, this is also the only angle where I can apply adequate pressure to any point on your back."

Ky: "Okay, I guess you are the expert here."

Ki: "And don't forget it, now, here we go."

{Ruuub~}

Ky: "Augh, jeez you're going too hard."

Ki: "Don't be such a baby, a good massage is always painful at first, you'll get used to it."

Ky: "Agh, ooohf, okay starting to feel a little good now, still painful."

Ki: "…You know Kyousuke, you can be really amazing sometimes."

Ky: "Where's this coming from?"

Ki: "I still think it was better to just ignore those turds but I still appreciate you doing all that for me."

Ky: "Well, what are big brothers for? Augh, though I have to admit, kicking their asses was pretty therapeutic, so I got something out of it too."

Ki: "Still {rub~} I wish there was a better way to show my appreciation."

Ky: "Don't worry about it, you're doing a good enough job with this massage and what happened to taking things slow? You acting all nice like this actually a little off putting."

Ki: "Really?"

Ky: "Not in a bad way just feels a little out of character for you given how we've always treated each other."

Ki: "Well that's how evolution is, it can be fast and it can be slow, whatever the case, we change to best fit into a new way of living."

Ky: "Yeah~ Guess becoming a hero student really was the best thing I could've done. Just think, if I hadn't gone down this path, we'd still be ignoring each other as much as possible and when we graduated, I'd probably never see you again."

Ki: "What makes you say that?"

Ky: "Well I'm pretty sure you'd be able to use your talents to make it big in whatever you decided to do, you'd be so busy with your life that I doubt you'd be in Chiba very often. As for me, given the resentment I would've still held for you and our parents, I most likely would've moved somewhere far away to avoid all of you."

Ki: "…Well let's not think about what-ifs, we're here now and…I want us to have a good life together."

Ky: "Yeah, me too, especially if I get more massages like this."

Ki: "Hmhm~ Just don't expect me to do this all the time."

The Next Day

After finishing his morning routine Kyousuke decided to turn on the news to see the forecast before he headed out.

"The weather today for the Tokyo area will be clear with light showers late this afternoon, hm?"

The anchorman paused as someone came on screen and whispered something to him and handed him some papers and as this was happening Kirino came out of the bathroom, all cleaned up for school.

Ki: "What's going on? Did that weird storm pop up again?"

"It seems we've received urgent news…deep space radio telescopes have detected a massive radiation storm headed towards Earth and officials have confirmed…that it is another Falling Stars event."

Ky: "Whoa."

Ki: "No way."

"The wave has been projected to reach Earth sometime in mid February and just to remind our viewers, while the initial radiation wave isn't harmful it can have adverse effects on early term unborn children. If you wish to avoid exposure simply stay indoors during the event which has previously been recorded to last around twenty four hours."

Ki: "Well that's something."

Ky: "Yeah, the Hero Association is going to have a lot of work to do come February."

Ki: "Especially with the rise of new Kaiju, I heard that after the last Falling Stars, they discovered a Cat. A kaiju that could've killed most of all life on Earth through a toxin it produced like sweat in massive quantities, good thing they eliminated it when it was still dormant."

Ky: "Jeez, let's hope something worse doesn't show up this time around."

Ki: "Why are you worrying? You're immortal remember."

Ky: "Yeah but I still don't want everyone else to die, who the heck am I going to talk to so I don't fall down a spiral of insanity and loneliness?"

Ki: "Good point, well I better get going, see you at lunch."

Ky: "Yeah."

Kyousuke headed to class where his homeroom teacher repeated the announcement of the Falling Stars which came as a surprise to half of the class, some were excited to see the spectacle, others were terrified of the new wave of strong monsters that was to come, though Kyousuke was excited at the prospect of making more money from the influx of hero work.

"Hey did you hear about that guy that won a six on one battle yesterday?"

"Whoa seriously?!"

Ky: "Hm?"

Kyousuke looked out the window and at the sky, he didn't see anything but a sudden feeling of doom fell over him like there was some terrifying entity hungrily staring back at him from behind the blue veil.

I found you.

Ky: "Huh?"

Kyousuke looked around to see who had whispered to him but no one caught his attention. All until lunch, anytime the sky was within view or if any part of his body was in view of the sky even if he couldn't see it, he felt scared like he was being hunted, he only felt safe in windowless rooms or ones with the windows completely covered.

Ky: "I don't know what the hell is going on."

Ki: "Jeez, that explains why you made us eat in this classroom with the curtains drawn, maybe you should talk to the DSA agents about this."

Ky: "I was already planning to."

Ki: "But this could be serious, I've never once seen you scared like this, maybe it's an early warning sign from your anomalous powers, it could be trying to tell you about something dangerous coming."

Kirino began to get a little scared herself at the thought of something so terrifyingly powerful that even Kyousuke's godling core would deem its mere presence as a threat.

Ki: "Why exactly are you scared?"

Ky: "…I don't know, it feels like whatever's out there…wants to eat me."

Ki: "…Seriously?"

Ky: "Haah, yeah, I feel like I'm back in grade school hiding from the imaginary monster in my closet."

Ki: "Alright, let's call in sick."

Ky: "Huh?"

Ki: "I'm not going to deal with this for the rest of the day, so I'm going to call the DSA so they can give us a free pass to visit them asap, so scarf your food."

Kirino made the call and Naoki quickly informed the principal to let them go and the siblings found themselves in Johannes's on-sight examination room. Kyousuke's was seated on the bed with Kirino sitting in a chair and after giving Kyousuke a regular inspection Nicola began his questioning.

Ni: "And when did you start feeling like this?"

Ky: "This morning."

Ni: "I see…give me a moment."

Nicola then walked out of the room before placing both hands on his face and letting out a deep breath.

Na: "What's wrong?"

Ni: "Hmmmph, I was hoping the devices I had put in place would keep us hidden, this isn't good Naoki."

Naoki looked at Nick's face and his expression was one of bitter hopelessness and sadness.

Na: "What is it?"

Ni: "Kyousuke's fear, I thought I'd never have to see something like this again, this signals the coming of a beyond Cat. A threat."

Na: "Beyond Cat. A?! Are you serious?!"

Ni: "Very, this…is a Cosmic level threat, it's the only reason a godling would be experiencing this sort of visceral fear."

Na: "Then we should report this, get all military forces ready!"

Ni: "No, my people faced these sort of beings once before but even with our higher level of technology our world barely made it through, our entire planet was ravaged, ecosystems destroyed, oceans displaced, mountain ranges crumbled and pull up, the very weather turned against us and in the end there was only just enough of us left to repopulate."

Na: "W-What about Kyousuke? Can't he do something?"

Ni: "If we had more time to develop him, we may have stood a chance but as he is now even with his full power activated there's nothing he or your world's militaries can do. Your best bet is to use them as a distraction while the civilians hide in the bunkers, maybe it won't find them all and maybe your lack of power will prevent it from unleashing it's full wrath on your planet but know, apocalypse is on the horizon and the heavens will sing it's beautiful song of arrival."

Na: "…"

…

Nicola sent the siblings home, telling them he needs to look over his data before he can make a diagnosis.

Ki: "Jeez, I can't believe I have to deal with your paranoia for the foreseeable future, this is going to be such a pain, isn't that right Mochi?~"

Mo: I-i-i-i-i-i~

Ky: "I'm sorry but all we have to do is keep all the windows covered and we're good."

Ki: "It's a good thing this school has underground paths or you'd be screwed."

Kirino turned on the TV and reclined on the couch with Mochi held close but she could see Kyousuke was still anxious as he sat in a corner as far from the windows as possible.

Ki: "Hmm, stop being scared, come watch TV with us."

Ky: "I'd like to but I'm comfy here."

Ki: "…"

Kirino then got up and moved the couch out of Kyousuke's view before grabbing Mochi again and sitting down in the corner next to Kyousuke.

Ki: "So what do you feel like watching?"

Ky: "Uh…how about Master Chef?"

Ki: "Hell no."

Ky: "Alright then just put on some Shonen."

Ki: "Good choice."
