The door to the three broomsticks opened with a jingle as Lucius Malfoy entered dusting off his coat.

The pub was relatively busy as it was a Saturday night with lots of laughter and noise filling the air.

It was easy to miss the lone hooded figure who slipped in right after Lucius and headed to a corner.

Minerva had been following Lucius for two days now looking for anything incriminating or for an opening to attack.

She inconspicuously watched as Lucius sat at a table filled with wizengamot members and ordered a firewhisky.

Minerva ordered one herself as she thought about the last week.

Watching Hermione jump from the astronomy tower with the intention to end her life had been hard for her.

She knew that Lucius Malfoy's actions were unforgivable and as she stroked Hermione's hair at the bottom of the tower she vowed to never let him get away with it.

The girl had yet to wake up from the coma Poppy had placed her in to reduce the swelling in her brain.

Minerva wouldn't let the wonderful girl be destroyed by the scum sitting a few tables away from her. But she also couldn't throw a killing curse at him in the middle of diagon alley as much as the idea tempted her.

No, she had to be smart about it and ensure that anything she did could not be traced back to her.

As Minerva sipped her firewhisky she watched Lucius pull a package from his robes and hand it to the wizengamot member sitting across from him.

So he was paying them off to avoid Azkaban Minerva realized. She frowned at the corruption she was witnessing but knew there were more important matters to attend to first.

As Lucius got up to leave Minerva downed the rest of her drink and threw a sickle on the table. After waiting a moment she got up to exit herself.

Stepping through the door she frowned when she didn't immediately see Lucius. Knowing he couldn't have gotten very far she quickly made her way down the street.

Minerva gripped her wand tightly afraid that Lucius may have realized that he was being followed. She cautiously turned the bend only to be met with a face full of instant darkness powder.

She quickly turned into her feline counterpart in an attempt to see better and wasn't expecting a hard kick right to her ribs.

Letting out a yowl she sprinted blindly trying to escape the darkness but was stopped by a hand wrapping around her tail.

She tried to scratch whomever was holding her so painfully and felt her stomach lurch as the unmistakable feeling of apparation came over her.

As the light blinded her eyes Minerva transformed back and gagged as she tried not to puke.

Apparating whilst in animgus form was ten times as nauseating as in her human form. As she lost the battle with her stomach she emptied its contents onto the grass in front of her.

Once there was nothing left in her stomach she turned to her assailant only to be met by the wand of Lucius Malfoy levelled straight at her face.

Shit.
