11: Guardian Fairy part 1

Vanna Seabright's POV
oooooooooooooo
"I'm glad to be away from that place," I said after my princely boyfriend and I had left the Azoth Kingdom to help my boyfriend's oldest sister, Ren Kaiou.
"Yeah, I know Vanna," my brunette haired boyfriend said to me as we had decided to do some training here in Kalos before going to another region. "I just hope you'll enjoy being here in Kalos. There should be plenty of Fairy-type Pokémon for you to try and catch."
'Kalos is where my kin are supposed to be originally from,' my Sylveon, Oberon, said with a smile on his face. 'This'll be like a homecoming for me.'
"Just don't be making any bets with Ichigo," I said to my first Pokémon who had been with me since I was born, as I knew his notorious habit of gambling with my boyfriend's first Pokémon, a Togekiss that I gave him as his first Pokémon as a Togepi.
'I make no promises, Vanna,' Oberon replied with a mischievous grin on his face.
'Really Oberon?' my female Mawile, Titania challenged Oberon as she narrowed her eyes at him. 'So giving you and Ichigo lumps on your heads from my Iron Head attack won't change your mind?'
"Oh boy," my boyfriend said as he rolled his eyes with a sweatdrop on his forehead. "L-Let's try to cut down on the bets between you and Ichigo. I don't wanna have a repeat of that time you two had a Mexican standoff with a Bisharp, Excadrill and their Honchkrow leader."

Flashback to last month

Five Pokémon were glaring at each other and narrowing their eyes as two certain Fairy-type Pokémon were glaring at two Steel-type Pokémon and the Dark/Flying-type Pokémon they were working for.
'Your boss owes us for 5 Barbiri Berries that he wagered and lost in the Stanler Races,' Ichigo said fearlessly to the two Steel-type Pokémon that were blocking them.
'And he even owes us 10 Kebia Berries that he wagered in a 'double or nothing' bet in the Sniper Sharpshooter's competition too,' Oberon added as he too was acting brave, despite the fact that both Fairy-types were staring down Pokémon that clearly had a type advantage over them.
The two Steel-type Pokémon said nothing as the Bisharp used its Hone Claws to raise his own Physical Attack and Accuracy. While the male Subterrene Pokémon used its Iron Defense to raise its Physical Defense stats should both fairies be stupid enough to try and challenge them. As for the shiny male Big Boss Pokémon in rear, he did nothing to prepare himself as he thought that his two Steel-type muscle goons would deal with the two fairies that he had tried to cheat out of berries that he put up for a couple bets that went south for him. Unfortunately for the Big Boss Pokémon, neither Oberon or Ichigo were going to let him get away with cheating them out of berries that were due to them. For thirty minutes, the five Pokémon just glared at each other and then readied themselves for a fight as they were prepared for a fight. Just as things were about to heat up, the Excadrill heard his stomach growling as he was hungry and the five Pokémon could smell a specially made pizza being cooked.
'Lunch break!' the male Subterrene Pokémon called to his Dark/Steel-type companion as he dashed off to eat.
'Oh good,' replied the male Sword Blade Pokémon as he walked off with his fellow Steel-type Pokémon.
Once both Steel-type Pokémon had walked away, the shiny male Big Boss Pokémon was then starting to sweat bullets as his muscle had walked off for a lunch at the most inconvenient time when two Fairy-type Pokémon were glaring at him. The shiny male Big Boss Pokémon gulped in terror as Oberon and Ichigo were closing in on him.

'Yeah… I'm thinking that standoff was anti-climatic,' Ichigo said to my Sylveon, Oberon.
'Regardless… we don't want to have to put up with your excessive betting,' Hayato's shiny Fletchling, Phoenix, said to both Fairy-types as he glanced at them like Titania did.
Both my prince and I had gone to Vaniville Town to start our traveling through Kalos like May Ketchum and her husband, Ash Ketchum did when they did their last journey for Ash before taking up their posts as members of the Elite Four in the Atlantica Islands. I was wanting to find as many more Fairy-type Pokémon as I could find before moving on to the next region. I really didn't have much an interest in competing in Pokémon League tournaments, but Hayato did ask me to compete with him as a pair in the Suicune Valley Conference with him as he didn't feel confident enough to take it on himself even though he had just competed in the Pokémon league in the Johto region and was cut short of winning by Jeanette Fisher, who was still the Johto League champion. I think he was at a point where he had to compete in the Suicune Valley Conference as did his older siblings, Mizuki and Ren. I guess competing in the Kalos Pokémon League would give him a bit more experience before taking on the Suicune Valley Conference back in his home region. I let out a sigh and shook my head as I had thought about wanting to compete. But I knew if Hayato was my opponent, that he wouldn't face me as I knew him personally. Oberon took a look at me and then asked, 'Thinking about joining Prince Hayato in the Kalos League alongside him?
Before I could ask my male Intertwining Pokémon, he added, 'No Vanna. Ichigo and I didn't make a bet about you competing alongside your princely lover.'
"Yes, I am thinking about it," I answered Oberon. "The Pokémon League in the Atlantica Islands is very tough and no other Pokémon League has been able to top the Suicune Valley Conference or her gyms.
'Yeah, the only other Pokémon League that comes close to the Suicune Valley Conference is the Sky Fortress Conference,' Titania said as she put in her two cents.
"I'll tell you what, my sexy prince," I began with a grin on my face, "I'll compete alongside you in the Kalos League and the Suicune Valley Conference if you'll compete alongside me in the Sky Fortress Conference."
"You know I'd do anything you want, my Beautiful Fairy," Hayato said to me with a smile on his face as I knew that my Prince would do almost anything I asked him to do.
I'll admit that even though I was smiling on the outside, in the back of mind I kinda hoped that he had said no or try to Buizel his way out of the terms I put in front of him. But… I guess I couldn't help the fact that even though he was the son of the Ocean Queen, he was more like his father, the Emerald King and Warrior Son of Thunder. Once Hayato agreed to be in the Sky Fortress Conference with me, I smiled and then kissed him as my way of thanking him… and then recalled Oberon to his Pokéball.
'You two definitely need to be careful about people knowing Prince Hayato is the crown prince of the Atlantica Islands,' Titania said to me and Hayato with a tone of caution in her voice. 'Ever since the Queen opened the Atlantica Islands to the world, things haven't been the same.'
Titania was right as we had to be careful about Hayato's status as the crown prince of the Atlantica Islands. Even though Team Flare was destroyed and Serena LaRouche helped with the reconstruction of Kalos, there were still various groups that sprang up and caused trouble for the region. And we certainly didn't want to draw attention to ourselves by letting Hayato say that he's a prince. Once we sorted things out, we began our trek to the first stop of our journey, Aquacorde Town. As we set out from Vanville Town, I let Titania stay out of her ball and walk alongside me. As for Hayato, he let his, shiny Fletchling, Phoenix, stay out of his Dream Ball and fly alongside him. Phoenix hadn't evolved fully by the time we were in Kalos.
'Huh… this almost feels like a homecoming for me,' Phoenix said to me and Hayato as we began walking towards Aquacorde Town. 'I know my kin are from this region, but yet I feel like a stranger here.'
"I'm sure you'll feel right at home once we start battling and competing in the gyms," Hayato said to Phoenix confidently.
"And you'll have a partner helping you out too," I added with a smile on my face. "You've got Daisy and Titania to help out too."
Our trek to Aquacorde Town took us at least a few hours and neither of us had a Pokémon that we could ride on. Sure Ichigo was a Flying-type, but he couldn't handle transporting both me and Hayato at the same time. Plus I didn't have any Fairy-type Pokémon that could carry me on their back. The last problem that Hayato and I faced was that the Ride Pager service hadn't made its way to Kalos just yet. Though there was a very friendly shiny Arcanine that offered to let me ride on his back as he explained to us that Xerneas had come to him in vision saying that "the Princess of Fairies who was birthed in her presence shall arrive with the prince she loves, who was birthed from the sea, yet soars in the sky." The shiny Arcanine let me on his back, but glared and snarled at my prince when he tried to get on his back too. Hayato understood that he wasn't allowed on the Arcanine's back and just walked alongside us. I could tell that the male Legendary Pokémon wanted to just bolt off with me, but I made sure he knew that I intended to compete alongside my prince in the Kalos League. Once we made our way to Aquacorde Town, Hayato and I went to the Pokémon Center and informed the Nurse Joy there that we were registering to compete in the Kalos League competition together. At first, she tried to explain that Hayato and I couldn't compete as a pair in the Kalos League. But much to our luck, the head of the Pokémon League commission, the grandson of the Pokémon League Commission's founder who was also known as Mr. Goodshow, was there in Aquacorde Town and heard us trying to register as a pair for the Kalos League and approached us.
"Now, now Nurse Joy," the 42 year-old gentleman said with a smile on his face, "the Pokémon League Commission has begun to allow trainers who wish to compete together as a pair. This policy was established after the Ocean Queen opened the Atlantica Islands to the world and everyone saw how the Suicune Valley Conference operates. So please go ahead and allow them to register for the Kalos League as a pair."
"Alright then… I just need to know your names then," the Aquacorde Town Nurse Joy said to me and Hayato.
The Pokémon League commissioner took a look at Hayato and me and seemed to take an interest in us like he had seen us somewhere. My canine transporter then glared at him and began snarling at him. By stroking his muzzle, I was able to calm him down a little bit. But the shiny Arcanine still glanced at the Pokémon League commissioner warily as he kept me close to him.
"You two look familiar," the commissioner said to me and Hayato.
"I need to your names please," the Aquacorde Nurse Joy said as she got our attention.
"I'm Vanna Seabright," I said to her. "I'm from the Oblivia region."
"I'm Hayato Kaiou," my prince said to the Aquacorde Nurse Joy. "I'm from the Atlantica Islands region."
"You mean, you're the 'Sky Prince' Hayato Kaiou, son of the Ocean Queen and Emerald King?" the commissioner asked Hayato as he was curious when heard Hayato's name and then looked to me. "And you… you're… the youngest daughter of Jonathan and Abelia Seabright. The so-called Fairy Princess, if I'm not mistaken, right?
Both Hayato and I glanced at him cautiously as he held his hands up and said, "There's no need to worry. I won't tell anyone else."
"I'm getting ready to take on the Suicune Valley Conference," Hayato explained to the commissioner. "Figured maybe going through Kalos first would help me prepare for it."
"I haven't seen the Suicune Valley Conference yet," the commissioner said with a smile as the Aquacorde Nurse Joy registered both Hayato and me for the Kalos League competition. "Heard it was supposed to be ultra difficult. Camera crews from other regions haven't been able to get in and see what kind of competition the Suicune Valley Conference is."
"Because the idea is that we want people, regardless, of where they come from to experience the Suicune Valley Conference for themselves and not rely on video recaps," Hayato said to Mr. Goodshow. "Highlights and recaps can be altered and edited by anyone with the skills edit and alter videos."
Hayato made a point as the commissioner agreed with him. After waiting another twenty minutes, Hayato and I were finally registered for the Kalos League as a pair instead of having to register individually. Once we finished the registration process, the Pokémon League commissioner promised to ensure that he'd keep my Prince's identity as a prince a secret and make sure that the gym leaders treated us like every other challenger and not give us any special treatment. Setting that aside, Hayato and I left Aquacorde Town and began making our way through the Santalune Forest.
oooooooooooooo
'Man, the Pokémon here aren't as difficult as they are back home,' Phoenix knocking down another Fletchling. 'Not to mention that defeating my own kin is leaving a bad taste in my beak.'
"You said you were willing knock down any Pokémon in order to get stronger," Hayato reminded his shiny male Tiny Robin Pokémon. "I figured that meant you were willing to knock down even your own kin."
'Thankfully I don't require much training,' Titania said after she took down a Pansear, a Pokémon that was supposed to have a type advantage over her.
'Let's just hope the gym leader's Pokémon doesn't have either an Electric or Fire-type Hidden Power,' Phoenix said as he let out a sigh.
"Well, you're almost there to evolving into Fletchinder," I said to Phoenix. "And it seems as if your Gale Wings ability is really coming through for you."
'What am I? Chopped gizzards?!' Hayato's recently acquired shiny Pikipek asked as he felt left out.
"I'm sorry about that Hurricane," Hayato said to his shiny male Woodpecker Pokémon. "You're doing an excellent job too.
'Good thing you taught me that Bullet Seed move,' Hayato's Pikipek, Hurricane, said thoughtfully. 'Because I can make use of my Skill Link ability with that move.'
"Well and I intend to get you evolved before we take on the gym leader so can I teach you Rock Blast and help you get even more use out of it," Hayato said before a hoard of five Pansages showed up. "Uh oh. We've got trouble."
'Heard from some local Fletchlings that a shiny Fletchling was here and wasn't aiding his comrades,' one Pansage said with a look of disdain and contempt in his eyes.
'I wasn't hatched here in Kalos,' Phoenix said to the Pansages. 'But it doesn't mean that I don't feel bad about battling against my own kin from Kalos.'
'Enough!' the same Pansage shouted out in anger. 'We'll take you down now!'
"Phoenix, you know how to deal with hoards," Hayato instructed his shiny male Tiny Robin Pokémon.
'You bet I do,' replied Phoenix as he prepared his Heat Wave attack until Hurricane jumped in, wanting a piece of the action too as he too prepared his own Heat Wave attack. 'Heat Wave!'
Both Fire-type attacks connected with the hoard of Pansages as both attacks missed at least one of the five Pansages, only for the other Heat Wave attack to hit the one that the other Heat Wave attack had missed. All five Pansages were soundly defeated by Phoenix and Hurricane and thanks in part to the Lucky Eggs they were holding, both Flying-type Pokémon were then soon bathed in a soft glowing light that signaled they were evolving. My Sky Prince looked very happy once Phoenix evolved into Fletchinder and Hurricane evolved into Trumbeak. With both of his Flying-type Pokémon evolving, Hayato knew that he could help them both get stronger as he had the Rock Blast TM ready for Hurricane as he was set on keeping his promise to the now evolved shiny Bugle Beak Pokémon.
"I really gotta thank Cynthia for giving me Hurricane," Hayato said to me as he used the TM for Rock Blast and taught it to Hurricane.
"Unfortunately, I heard that Cynthia is looking for Samiya, the fabled temple of the People of the Water," I said to Hayato as I watched him teach Rock Blast to Hurricane.
"I'm positive they'll find Samiya," Hayato replied to me as he put the Rock-type TM back into our TM Case. "Aunt May still has her Manaphy. And we both know that Manaphy can find Samiya. And providing that Cynthia isn't gonna be stubborn like her dad, like she can be at times."
"Yeah," I said with a nod, "Cynthia does tend to be stubborn like her dad."
"Let's get to Santalune City so we can rest for the night before taking on the gym," Hayato suggested as he then set me on his back, letting me piggyback until we got to the Pokémon Center. "I'm sure that your feet are throbbing from all the walking we've done from Vanville Town."
"Thank you, my prince," I replied sweetly as I kissed his cheek before Arcanine stepped in.
'Hey, hey, not so fast there,' the male Arcanine said as he stopped Hayato from going further. 'I provide the transportation for the Fairy Princess. Not you Little Prince.'
Hayato let me down as the Arcanine then set me back on his back before we began to set out for Santalune City. The male Legendary Pokémon then sighed and motioned for Hayato to get on his back. My prince tried to get on behind me until the Arcanine snarled at him and said, 'I'm keeping an eye on you… Little Prince. Get in front.'
"Why me?" moaned Hayato after letting out a huff and then getting in front of me.
'Man, Prince Hayato just doesn't have much luck,' Titania said before I recalled her to her Pokéball.
To ease my Sky Prince, I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his right shoulder as Arcanine bolted towards Santalune City. The ride was a smooth one to the Santalune Pokémon Center as we didn't have much in the way of Pokémon encounters and only two trainers tried to challenge us… only to find out my Sky Prince and I were too powerful for them. Once we made it to Santalune City and the Pokémon Center, we were quick to get our Pokémon healed and Arcanine checked out. As our Pokémon were getting healed and checked on, we got a room for the night before talking about our strategy against the gym leader. Thanks to Cynthia, we knew the first gym leader used Bug-type Pokémon as their Pokémon. With Hayato's Trumbeak now knowing Rock Blast and having the Skill Link ability, taking on the gym leader wouldn't be as difficult as I thought it might be. Plus with Titania, our odds were looking good.
oooooooooooooo
After our Pokémon were healed and checked on by the local Nurse Joy, Hayato and I went and got something to eat. Hayato was hungry for ramen, so we went and found a ramen shop. It took some doing, but I was able to convince my Arcanine transporter that I would be just fine being alongside Hayato as we were just gonna go out to eat and do a little bit of exploring before we came back. However, despite me convincing Arcanine, he still followed us just to ensure my safety and glared at my poor prince as he and I held hands together. At the ramen shop, I got a simple bowl of ramen noodles and some giyoza pot stickers. As for Hayato, he usually went all out when it comes to ramen. He got a huge bowl of ramen that he liked to call the… 3 Alarm Heart Attack special. His 3 Alarm Heart Attack special had sliced bugogi meat, some bacon, shrimp, a couple diced Tamato Berries, a diced up Occa Berry, ghost peppers, some shredded cheese and Hayato's favorite topper… Flare Blitz Fire Sauce from Ruby Island drizzled all over his ramen. Arcanine had followed us inside the ramen shop, only to be shooed outside, where we were eventually going to be. After getting our bowls of ramen, we went outside to one of the tables so Arcanine could keep his watchful eye on us. As we sat down, a couple local boys took notice of me and tried to approach me until Hayato got closer to me, put his arm around my shoulder and then gave those boys a deathly glare and whistled for Arcanine to add in some "reinforcement" to show that I was off limits to them. Arcanine did back my Prince up and snarled at the boys to beat it, which they did. Once the boys backed off and went another direction, Hayato got his huge bowl of ramen and brought it over next to me as he just wanted to make sure that no other boys thought I was an easy hookup… or whatever they wanted to think about me. As for my Fire-type quadruped protector, his stomach then started growling as he had worked up quite an appetite and wanted something to eat. He looked at Hayato's huge bowl of his 3 Alarm Heart Attack special and then licked his chops before looking to my prince.
'If you wouldn't mind sharing some of your food, Little Prince,' Arcanine said to Hayato before looking at Hayato's food. 'Uhh… this doesn't have any raw onions or chocolate in it… does it?'
"Nope, but are you sure you want some of my 3 Alarm Heart Attack special?" Hayato asked Arcanine. "It's very spicy. Close to 850,000 Scouville units. Very hot!"
'Please Little Prince,' Arcanine replied as he rolled his eyes, 'I'm a Fire-type Pokémon. I think that I can handle that level of heat.'
Hayato let Arcanine take a bite of his huge bowl of ramen and then… it happened. Despite the male Legendary Pokémon's boasting of being a Fire-type, Arcanine could not handle Hayato's 3 Alarm Heart Attack special. The heat was too much for him as he cried out and spewed out a blistering Overheat attack before running over to the fountain to take a huge drink of water. Despite gulping a huge amount of water, the poor Arcanine was still in pain from trying to handle the heat of Hayato's favorite ramen bowl. Oberon then let himself out of his Pokéball and helped Arcanine with his burnt tongue and used his Heal Bell.
'Trying Prince Hayato's 3 Alarm Heart Attack special is not the best idea at all,' Oberon said to Arcanine. 'Not many of us dare try it.'
'Ugh… how does the Little Prince stand such heat?' Arcanine asked Oberon as watched Hayato eat his huge bowl of ramen like it was nothing. 'I mean, I'm a Fire-type Pokémon and I cannot stand such heat from that kind of food.'
'Prince Hayato's mother ate a lot of spicy foods when she had the Prince in her womb,' explained Phoenix. 'Prince Hayato grew to love spicy foods as he got older.'
'I guess that makes some sense,' the Arcanine replied as an employee came out with some chilled berries as I had paid for some chilled berries for our Pokémon to eat and refresh themselves.
'Oh goodie, I smell my favorite treat,' Phoenix said as the chilled berries were set for our Pokémon and Arcanine transportation. 'Chilled Watmel berries with vanilla glazed Oran berries and honey glazed Wacan berries. Oh… the Fairy Princess definitely knows what I like.'
'Oh… these chilled Watmel berries definitely are delicious,' Arcanine said in agreement with Phoenix as he wolfed down some berries. 'They definitely help cool my reckless tongue.'
"I just hope you learned your lesson," I said to Arcanine after I slurped some of my ramen noodles. "About the only brave soul to ever try Hayato's 3 Alarm Heart Attack special and survive was his oldest sister, Ren."
"You forgot about that Magmortar and Lampent who thought they could eat my sister under the table," Hayato reminded me of the eating contest from last year on Ruby Island. "That contest didn't get so well for those two Fire-type Pokémon.
"Then… she said something that was really embarrassing to our family," finished Hayato as he had a shiver run down his spine and sweatdrop on his forehead.
"L-Let's forget about Ren," I replied as I didn't want to even remember Ren's answer to those who asked her where she was able to put all of the ramen that she ate away.
oooooooooooooo
After we finished eating our late evening meal, Hayato and I walked around the city and holding hands together. Arcanine didn't exactly like that we were holding hands together, but I glared at him to get him to back off as he was being a bit overprotective like Hayato's Suicune grandfather, Lord Aurora. Just a glare from me was enough to get the male Legendary Pokémon to stand down. After getting Arcanine to back off, Hayato pointed out a karaoke bar that was geared more towards teenagers than adults. With a big smile on my face, we ran into the teen karaoke bar and saw that it was… rather empty at the time. The place was nicely decorated and even had pictures of those who visited the karaoke bar. I was surprised to see that May and Ash Ketchum were pictured in the teen karaoke bar. I even saw Queen Relena's picture, but she wasn't with her husband in the picture. But before I could reach the microphone in the karaoke bar, music had started up and much to my surprise my Sky Prince had the microphone in his hands.
"To be young and in love in New York City," Hayato began to sing in a sexy tone. "Do not know who I am, but still know I'm good long as you're here with me. To be drunk and love in New York City. And not into morning coffee, burning through the hours talking… damn.
"I like me better when I'm with you," my Sky Prince continued to sing, brimming with confidence. "I like me better when I'm with you! I knew from the first time. I stay for a long time. 'Cause… I like me better when… I like me better when I'm with you."
I was very happy to hear Hayato singing as he locked eyes with me and I knew that the song was meant for me. It was refreshing to see Hayato open up and not act shy and timid like he usually did. Other teens were coming in to the karaoke bar as they heard Hayato singing 'I Like Me Better' and I think five girls tried to ask my Prince for his cellphone number. Fortunately for me, Hayato was too into the song he was singing. As for the five girls who were trying to steal my Sky Prince from me, I whistled for Arcanine to come in, snarl and scare away those girls as I wasn't going to allow any other girl steal Hayato from me. The girls backed away and ran out of the karaoke bar as they were afraid of the Arcanine who acted as escort and transportation for me. Then Hayato finished his song as I locked my gaze with him and smiled at him. Once he was done singing, he got down from the karaoke stage… heh, and I glomped him as I felt a sense of happiness and love wash over me. Hayato was certainly caught off guard as we fell to the floor and I kissed him.
"I love you Hayato," I said to my prince after we pulled out of the kiss.
"I love you too, my Precious Fairy," Hayato replied with a smile on his face as we got up off the floor.
"Okay love birds, save the romance for somewhere else and get a room," one certain teen said to me and Hayato as she narrowed her eyes at us. "We're not here to see some cheesy teen love movie. A lot of us came here to have a good time and see which people act like idiots."
I glared at the girl as I didn't like her interrupting me and Hayato. She was very rude before making her way to the stage. Hayato and I then made our way to the exit as the rude girl began singing. Boy did she make the wrong decision to try and steal my Sky Prince from me as she sang 'The Crush Song.' And to top off setting off my rage against her, she pulled off her shirt as she said that wanted Hayato to… to… um… "bang" her in the end. The look in my eyes said that I wanted to beat her senseless into the next month. But… I did make a very big mistake that made both of us a target during our journey.
"Try to steal my Prince from me and I'll kick your ass into next month," I said to the girl with daggers in my eyes before realizing that I had just made a big mistake.
"Oh? He's a prince?" the girl asked as she reveled in the revelation on knowing that Hayato is a prince. "Now this is starting to get interesting.
"Name's Kristina LaRouche," the long honey blonde haired girl said to me and my Prince with a mischievous smirk on her face. "You might know my oldest sister, the Kalos Princess, Kimberley LaRouche."
I covered my face in embarrassment as I had just inadvertently painted a target on mine and Hayato's backs. As much as I wanted to leave the karaoke bar, after making that one mistake, I wasn't going to let this Kristina LaRouche get the better of me and beat me. Before she could sing another song, I snatched the microphone from her and then sang the next song. The song that was coming up was one that got Hayato to fall for me, head over heels.
"Baby you're all that I want," I began to sing as Hayato locked his gaze at me, "when you're lying here in my arms. I'm finding hard to believe… we're in heaven.
As much as I liked hearing the original version by Journey, I preferred the version done by DJ Sammy as the first verse began and I began singing, "Oh… thinking about our younger years. It was only you and me. We were young and wild and free! Now nothing can take you away from me. We've been down that road before, but that's over now! You keep me coming back for more!"
I winked at Hayato as I continued singing, "Baby you're all that I want! When you're lying here in my arms. I'm finding hard to believe… we're in heaven. And Love is all that I need! And I found it there in your heart! It isn't hard to see… we're in heaven."
I looked at Hayato and saw him keeping his eyes on me even though that Kristina LaRouche girl was trying to take his attention away from me. He kept shoving her away from him as he kept his full attention. I smiled brightly as I knew my Sky Prince wasn't going to let that… tramp steal him away from me. I kept singing the song as more young people around our age started coming into the karaoke bar. A lot of other kids were cheering for me and I think a couple guys were asking me to date them. The one time that my Prince looked away from me was to beat those guys, who wanted me to date them, in a six foot crater. It made me very happy to see my Sky Prince making sure that other guys knew I was taken. I think Arcanine was taken aback and surprised to see that Hayato had it in him to pound those two boys into the ground. Once the two boys had peeled themselves out of the craters, they left as Hayato glared at them to ensure they knew to never try and hit on me again. After I finished the song, I got down and was really sleepy. Hayato decided to carry me on his back and told the shiny Arcanine to let him carry me back to the Pokémon Center as he felt that I would've wanted him to carry me. The shiny male Legendary Pokémon didn't like the idea, but he complied and let Hayato carry me back to the Pokémon Center as I was asleep. Once we got back to the Pokémon Center, Hayato then set me in the bed and was about to get out of the bed until he felt me cling tighter to him as I wanted my Prince in the same bed with me instead of him being in the bed below me.
oooooooooooooo
'That wasn't necessary for you to kick me away from the bed,' Arcanine said to me as he referred to when I kicked him away on his nose from the bed after he tried to get Hayato off the bed I was sleeping in and either sleep in another bed or on the floor.
"Then you should know that I always share a bed with my Prince when we travel together," I said to the shiny Arcanine. "No more of this… trying to separate me from my Prince.
"Besides," I finished as I rolled my eyes, "Hayato would never think of doing what you think he might try to do to me. My mom practically terrified him with the consequences of what would happen if he ever did try that."
'Well… a mother would be more terrifying than me,' replied the shiny Arcanine.
"Let's get some breakfast and go over our plan for our gym battle," Hayato said after he got out of the shower and changed into some new clothes that he got from his aunt.
My Prince had on some camo pants that reminded me of his Togekiss, Ichigo, that I gave him as a Togepi when we started dating each other five years ago. He also had on a zipped shirt combo that also were in the colors of Ichigo. He pretty much had on a complete "Ichigo outfit," much to my liking, and I was glad to see that he wasn't wearing that Motocross outfit that he usually wore even though he walked away from it so he could be with me after my injuries. After admiring Hayato's outfit, I went to take a shower myself as I needed to clean up myself before eating breakfast. Thankfully, that Kristina LaRouche girl wasn't around as I still wanted to punch her for that Crush Song she sang to try and steal Hayato from me. As I took my shower, Titania was there to make sure no one else decided to walk in as I was taking my shower. After I refreshed myself with the shower, I decided to wear something else for a change besides my usual traveling clothes. As much as I wanted to wear my favorite pink dress, that was usually saved for when I stay at Sol Palace and spend time with Hayato or if we go on really special dates outside of Sol Palace. No, I decided that I would wear a pink midriff halter top with Sylveon design on it and some Sylveon designed cross laced shorts and for the first time in a while, I decided to leave my hair down as I knew that Hayato thought I was very sexy with my hair down instead of in pig tails like I usually wear. Once I got out of the shower, I noticed that Kristina LaRouche was standing there looking impatient that I was taking my sweet time ensuring that my Prince would like what he saw.
"There you go," I said to Kristina as I gave her a fake smile.
"It's about time you got out," snarled Kristina as she brushed past me.
I got in the room where Hayato was making sure that our things were packed up before we sat down for breakfast. Oberon had let himself out of his Pokéball and was helping Hayato until my Prince took a moment and saw me in my outfit. Hayato said nothing as he had a big smile on his face and picked me up bridal style. He definitely liked what he saw as he held me in his arms.
"Oh… why must you do that?" I asked Hayato in annoyance.
"Come on, you can't tell me you don't love it when I sweep you off your feet, my Beautiful Fairy," Hayato replied as he still had his smile on his face. "Besides Vanna, you look absolutely sexy today."
oooooooooooooo
"Okay, Mizuki said that the gyms here in Kalos have had a major change in power," Hayato said to me as we were eating our breakfast. "The most powerful gym in Kalos now is in Lumiose City. The gym here Santalune City still hasn't changed much in the way of power."
"Do we know what gym is next?" I asked Hayato as I ate my cereal.
"Well… the gym in Cyllage City would be next," answered Hayato.
"Would be?" I asked in as I raised an eyebrow.
"Mizuki said the next gym after Santalune City is Shalour City," Hayato answered after downing his third chocolate cake donut. "It's really crazy because the gyms have either gained strength or lost it and the regional Pokémon League commission hasn't figured out how to get trainers to the gyms without forcing them to go through different types of Pokémon that are stronger."
"But we're okay, right?" I asked Hayato with a bit of concern in my tone.
"Yeah," answered Hayato with a thoughtful nod. "You and I have the experience and we'll be able to battle our way through the Pokémon ourselves."
After we finished our breakfast and fed our Pokémon and Arcanine, we headed out of the Pokémon Center, only to be met by Kristina LaRouche who glared at me as she slightly shivered because I used up the hot water before she could get in the shower. I gave a wicked smile to her and then stuck my tongue out at her. Her response to me was to tell me that it was "on like Donkey Kong." I knew that I wasn't going to let her have Hayato and I would make sure she knew that.
oooooooooooooo
"What did you do to that Kristina LaRouche girl?" Hayato asked me as we walked to the Santalune City gym holding hands together. "She looked very upset with you."
"She upset me with that 'Crush Song' she sang last night," I answered my Prince quickly as I didn't want to talk about that tramp. "Let's focus on our gym battle instead."
Hayato knew not to press an issue if I wasn't willing to talk about it. So he shrugged his shoulders and kept walking with our two… resident gamblers making a bet behind us and my shiny Fire-type transportation bringing up the rear. As we walked to the gym, I just shook my head as we heard Oberon and Ichigo making a bet about the end result of our gym battle.
'No way! You can't be serious with that prediction!' Oberon exclaimed after Ichigo made a prediction of our gym battle. 'I seriously doubt that the gym leader is gonna make that much of a comeback.'
'Five Poképuffs with Oran Berry frosting says you're wrong,' countered Ichigo.
'We're not anywhere where our humans can get us Poképuffs,' shot back Oberon. 'All we have to bet are berries.'
'Five Jaboca Berries says you're wrong then,' Ichigo corrected himself.
'Alright then, you're on,' replied Oberon as he extended one of his ribbon feelers to shake with Ichigo. 'I'll be five Jaboca berries richer.'
"We have got to stop enabling those two," Hayato said to me as he shook his head. "One of these days, I swear to Lord Arceus, they're gonna get in over their heads with a gambling boss."
"We'll worry about dealing with their gambling addiction later," I said to my Prince as we reached the Santalune City gym. "Our first gym battle as a couple is about to start."
Once we entered the Santalune City gym, both of us could see there were many photos of different Pokémon that were taken. Both of us were amazed to see such beautiful photos taken by whoever took them. As we were in awe of the photos, the gym leader approached us.
"It's nice to see that young people can enjoy and appreciate art like the photos I've taken," the gym leader, Viola, said to Hayato and I. "I've been waiting for you two to come… Sky Prince and Fairy Princess."
"You know about us?" Hayato asked Viola as he was a bit worried.
"There's no need to worry," Viola said with a smile on her face. "The Commissioner asked me not mention anything to anyone else about your titles."
"I'm just a normal person," Hayato said plainly as he shook his head. "Grandmother and Mom always taught us that titles are meaningless."
"Oh yes," Viola said with a nod. "Your mother was the same way when I tried to address her as 'princess.' She told me that she hated royal titles.
"At any rate, I imagine that you two are here to challenge my gym," continued Viola. "Follow me and you'll see your battlefield."
Hayato and I complied and followed the gym leader to where we would be battling her. My Prince and I were surprised to see that the battlefield looked like giant Ariados web that was suspended over the gym and even everywhere around the gym too. I wasn't liking the layout of gym and neither was Hayato as his Flying-type Pokémon would be limited with their mobility and ability to maneuver without getting caught in a web. But my Prince was undeterred as he wanted to get ready for the Suicune Valley Conference in nine months. And the Kalos League competition was going to start in two months. I guess we were glad that Arcanine came along as we were going to need him for transportation across Kalos in a rapid manner. But I think also think that Hayato really didn't want to have to go hopping all around Kalos just to the right the gyms in the new order that they were in. Back to gym battle, the gym leader, Viola, then called on her first pokemon which caught us both by surprise as she called on a Pokémon from the Alola region called Vikavolt. The Pokémon was a Bug/Electric-type pokemon which eliminated Hayato's type advantage with his Flying-type Pokémon. Despite the fact that Viola had a Vikavolt, Hayato remained undeterred as he called on Phoenix to help with the gym battle. I was a little worried that my Prince was being overconfident in his ability to battle in a gym battle. Nonetheless, I still called on Titania to provide Phoenix some support. Even though Phoenix had the Gale Wings ability, I wasn't sure that it would be enough to stop the Bug/Electric-type Pokémon in it's tracks.
"I hope that you didn't think I wouldn't go get new Pokémon, did you?" Viola asked my Prince and I as she saw the shocked look on our faces.
"Uh…," Hayato began as his answer.
Phoenix then just shook his head as he saw his human was a bit stunned to see the Vikavolt in front of us. As for Hurricane, my Prince's Trumbeak, he knew about the Vikavolt in front of us and cautioned us that a similar Pokémon like the one in front of us caused trouble for the community that he lived in back on Melemele Island in the Alola region. Hayato gave a nod to Hurricane and then sighed as he calmed down. Viola then called on her next Pokémon which was a Pokémon that would be no problem for Titania as she had called on a Beedrill.
"This gym battle will be a double battle as the gym leader will use four Pokémon against the challengers, who will use two Pokémon each," the gym referee announced as she took her place down below the web. "Let the gym battle begin!"
"Vikavolt, use Shock Wave," Viola said to her male Stag Beetle Pokémon before looking to her male Poison Bee Pokémon. "Beedrill, use your Hidden Power on Fletchinder."
'We're on it,' both Bug-type Pokémon acknowledged as Vikavolt went first and fired off his Electric-type attack to hit both of our Pokémon.
Unfortunately for Viola, I think she forgot that Shock Wave not only hits opponents, but it also hit her Beedrill as well. But then again, I had no intention of having us get knocked out so quickly, right off the bat as I had Titania use Protect and Hayato had Phoenix hide right behind her. The Electric-type move damaged only Viola's Beedrill as even Beedrill's Hidden Power failed to connect against Phoenix since he was being protected by Titania's Protect.
'I see,' Phoenix said as he was able to catch a glimpse of what type that Beedrill's Hidden Power was. 'That was a Rock-type Hidden Power. Thanks Titania.'
'No problem,' replied Titania as her Protect field dissipated.
"Phoenix, use your Heat Wave," Hayato ordered his Fire/Flying-type Ember Pokémon.
"Titania, use Fairy Wind!" I exclaimed as I was eager to help in getting our first gym badge in Kalos.
Both attacks were sent at our opponent's two Bug-type Pokémon as we decided to try and knock them down one fell swoop. I knew that Titania's Fairy Wind wouldn't do much damage against her Beedrill, but I figured that maybe Phoenix's Heat Wave would knock it down in one move. Unfortunately, Phoenix's Heat Wave missed both Vikavolt and Beedrill and that put us both in trouble. Seeing Phoenix's Heat Wave miss made me cringe as the Vikavolt didn't go down, but Viola's Beedrill did take some critical damage from Titania's Fairy-type attack. As for Hayato, he sighed as the nerves started taking over and then Phoenix got himself caught in one of the webs making him unable to battle. Without the Flame Body ability, Phoenix wasn't able to free himself and the referee disqualified him from the battle as he wasn't in any way able to battle as he struggled to get free. The referee mentioned that if Hayato's second Pokémon were to be rendered unable to battle, then both of us would lose the gym battle. The only other Pokémon that might be able to help out Hayato was his shiny female Swellow, Daisy. Sadly, Daisy was still at Sol Palace as she was breeding with a shiny Pidegot in the Forest Area of the Fairy Gardens. Even his shiny Altaria, Goldenrod, was also breeding with another Flying-type Pokémon. Ichigo wasn't going to be much help in calming down Hayato. Hayato then called on Hurricane as Ichigo was on the side watching with our shiny Arcanine transportation. But much to our embarrassment… Hurricane flew right into one of the webs and got himself caught in it right as the next set of challengers were coming into challenge the gym leader. Like Phoenix… Hurricane wasn't able to get himself free as he was panicking to get out of the web.
"Trumbeak is unable to battle," the gym referee said with a few boys snickering at Hayato's struggling Trumbeak. "The challengers are disqualified and the gym leader wins by default."
oooooooooooooo
"Where's Hayato?" I asked Arcanine as I saw that Hayato was missing and he even didn't have his Pokémon with him.
'Who knows where the little prince of shame is,' Arcanine answered as he leapt up on the bed and swept his Pokéballs off the bed with his tail before falling asleep.
I was getting a bit worried as Hayato was acting a bit withdrawn three days after we had been disqualified from that gym battle. He wasn't talking to me at all nor had he talked to anyone else. I was getting really worried because he wasn't talking to even his own Pokémon either. I really needed Daisy or Goldenrod to help with Hayato because only they knew how to get through to Hayato. I did have the phone number for his mother and the only time I ever called the Queen was… during times like this. After seeing Hayato outside with dirt and mud on his face, I rolled my eyes and made the call to his mother.
"I was wondering when you were going to call me," Hayato's mother said to me. "I assume that it's bad."
"Yes Your Highness," I replied to the Queen with a slight nod. "Please tell me that Daisy or Goldenrod are finished breeding with their mates."
"Let me get back to you on that," the Queen said to me calmly. "But in the mean time, tell me what happened."
After letting out a sigh, I began to explain what happened. I told her about the gym battle and how things felt apart during the start of our gym battle. I told her about how Phoenix and Hurricane got themselves caught in a couple webs that caused them to be ruled unable to battle and disqualifying both of us. I told the Queen about how my Prince was being harassed and ridiculed by other trainers who heard that we had been disqualified because of a technicality. Knowing the Queen's stance, I even told her about how I punched that Kristina LaRouche girl as she tried to steal Hayato from me… multiple times while he was vulnerable. I thought that she would be upset with me for fighting with Kristina LaRouche, but she sent me a text with a picture of boxing gloves and a message written on them saying "For protecting your Prince." I laughed when I saw the picture.
"I just spoke with Daisy and Goldenrod," the Queen said to me. "Both of them were upset to hear that my son is being withdrawn and disheartened. Daisy is finished breeding and hatching her eggs. Unfortunately, Goldenrod wants some more time to breed with her mate."
"Just Daisy will be fine," I said to the Queen as it was imperative that one of his first female Flying-type Pokémon was sent to Kalos right away.
"Call me when you're at a PC transporter," the Queen instructed me. "I'll send Daisy over to you."
I did as the Queen instructed and went over to the PC Transporter and called Hayato's mother to let her know that I was ready to receive Daisy from her. It took only three minutes to receive Daisy's Dream Ball and I then felt flooded with relief to have Daisy with us again. Before I could let Daisy out of her Dream Ball, Kristina snatched it from me and then said, "What do we have here? A pink Pokéball… I wonder who it belongs to."
"Give it back," I ordered Kristina as I glared at her before whistling for Arcanine to come and get her to back away.
"Eek!" Kristina cried out as she tossed up my Prince's Dream Ball containing his shiny female Swallow Pokémon as the shiny male Legendary Pokémon snarled at her.
I caught the Dream Ball and whistled for Arcanine to help clear the crowd out of my way as I went to go find Hayato and get him back to his senses. Arcanine cleared the crowd out of my way and swatted Kristina with his tail as she tried to get up after falling on her rear. Once I exited the Pokémon Center, I went over to where Hayato was and called Daisy out of her Dream Ball. Hayato then looked to see his strongest Flying-type Pokémon was with us as he looked like he was on the brink of despair.
'I hear you made a big blunder that cost you a gym battle,' Daisy said to her human as she rested her forehead on Hayato's forehead. 'That's no reason for you to sulk around.'
'Thank Lord Arceus you're here Daisy,' Titania said as she let herself out of her Pokéball.
'I apologize for not traveling with you guys sooner,' Daisy replied to Titania as she bowed to my female Steel/Fairy-type Deceiver Pokémon.
'I'm just glad you're here,' Titania said to Daisy. 'Better late than never, like the humans say.'
Daisy then diverted her attention to Hayato as she needed to get him out of his stupor. With that done, I went back inside to the Pokémon Center to check on Hayato's other Pokémon. Titania and I made it back to the room and the bed I shared with my Sky Prince. When I got there, Hayato's Pokéballs containing Phoenix and Hurricane weren't there and a note was sitting on the bed in their place. I tensed up as I didn't see either Oberon or Ichigo either as they weren't present either. As much as I wanted to assume that they were off making another bet, I saw that there was quite a struggle in the room. It was then that I looked at the note and became quite enraged with what was on the note. Kristina was trying once again to steal my Sky Prince from me and she held his Pokémon along with my protector, Oberon, as hostages. I certainly had no plans on being lenient or show restraint with her. She told me that if I wanted my Pokémon back, then I was going to have to break up Hayato so she could take him for herself. As I was readying myself to track down Kristina, the door to the shared room opened up and the current Kalos Queen, Serena LaRouche, came in with Oberon and Ichigo following right behind her and she had the Pokéballs of Hayato's Pokémon in her hands. The Kalos Queen shook her head in embarrassment as her own daughter was using such dirty and underhanded tactics to try and steal Hayato from me.
"I apologize for my daughter's underhanded tactics to try and steal the Sky Prince from you, Fairy Princess," Kalos Queen Serena said to me as she looked at me. "This will never happen again, I can reassure you of that."
"She did try to use 'The Crush Song' to try and steal Hayato from me," I said to the Kalos Queen as I remembered that I had come close to beating her senseless. "She's lucky that I didn't beat her within an inch of her life."
"I'm glad that you showed restraint," replied the Kalos Queen as she shook her head. "Again, I will talk to Kristina and make sure that she gets the point that Prince Hayato is off limits to her and not approach you two ever again.
"The Ocean Queen spoke to me about your trek through Kalos," continued Kalos Queen Serena LaRouche. "It's a bit dangerous with Team Flare destroyed. Other groups are trying to spring up. I'll do everything in my power alongside the Champion to help you and Prince Hayato in your trek to participate in the Kalos League."
"Thank you," I said to Serena LaRouche as I bowed to her.
'Thanks for bailing us out,' Oberon said to the Kalos Queen as he and Ichigo bowed to her as they were embarrassed by the fact they were caught unprepared by Kristina launching a blitz attack on them. 'Ichigo and I are very embarrassed that we were caught unprepared by that blitz attack.'
'Don't worry about it,' the Kalos Queen's own Sylveon said to Oberon. 'I'll speak to her Pokémon about agreeing to go along with such underhanded and dirty tactics. Young Kristina has taken things too far and if word gets out that she did such a thing against the Kaiou Royal House… I don't even wanna imagine what the Ocean Queen might do.'
"Don't worry about the Ocean Queen," I said to Serena's Sylveon. "She's pretty forgiving… to a point."
As the Kalos Queen was about to leave, Hayato had come back to the shared room with Daisy following him in tow. He, at first, had an emotionless look on his face when he entered the room and then had a nervous smile on his face as he said to me, "I'm sorry about worrying you."
I just hugged my Prince as I replied, "It's alright Hayato. We all make mistakes, but it doesn't mean that you've got to go and hide.
"But don't ever scare me like that again, you hear me?" I asked my Prince sternly as I didn't want to have to call his mother again for something like this again. "I was afraid that Kristina girl was going to try to steal you from me again or that she already had stolen you from me.
"She really didn't even come near me… I think," Hayato said with a sweatdrop on the back of his head. "But Daisy did really scold Phoenix and Hurricane for not helping to calm me."
"Well… regardless," I began after letting out a sigh, "the pity parties have gotta stop. Alright Hayato? You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself.
"You're not by yourself any more, you're with me now," I finished as I kissed him on his forehead and then cuddled with him. "Now you owe me a date for the lost time here and I intend to collect on that."
"You're gonna have to wait until we get to Lumiose City," Hayato said to me as he looked at me as I sat on his lap as we cuddled.
'Hey, hey, you're too close to the Fairy Princess,' Arcanine said as he was going to try and get me off of my Prince's lap.
'Leave Prince Hayato and the Fairy Princess alone for now,' Daisy said to the shiny male Fire-type Legendary Pokémon as she eyed him. 'The Sky Prince and Fairy Princess have been courting each other for years. There's no need for you to try and separate them.
'At any rate, they need to figure out how to tackle the gym leader and her unusual gym layout,' Daisy said to Arcanine as she insisted that the two of them leave us alone.
Once Daisy and Arcanine left us alone, I let out a sigh of relief as there was one thing that I needed to do to Hayato as I caught a whiff of him smelling a bit ripe. And that was make him take a shower… or at least a bath. Since there were no rules against me and Hayato taking a shower together, I grabbed my Prince and lead him to the shower as his face became as red as an Occa Berry.
"H-Hold on Vanna," cried Hayato as my Sky Prince was blushing profusely. "Don't you think your mom will get after me if she finds out we took a shower together?"
"What Mom won't know, won't hurt her," I answered Hayato with a cheeky grin on my face. "Besides… I know you'd never ever think of doing… that with me, without asking me to marry you first.
"And Mom already got the terror factor out of her system when she terrorized you two years ago," I answered my Prince as we got in the shower and I undressed him quickly. "Besides… you're a bit ripe and you need to take a shower."
"But… but…," Hayato tried to protest as he tried to Buizel his way out of taking a shower with me.
"No buts about it," I replied as I snatched Hayato by his shirt collar and yanked him back in. "Just because you're a prince and my boyfriend doesn't mean that you can get away with not keeping yourself clean. Are we understanding each other?"
"Eek!" Hayato cried out as he knew I was upset with him and tended to act like my mom when I got upset with him. "Yes ma'am."
After scaring Hayato into submission, he let me finish undressing him and I let him undress me before we took our shower together. To be honest, I wanted him to try and be comfortable around me… even if I was naked. But I think the terror Mom instilled into my Prince left a lasting impression on him if he ever thought about doing something improper with me. Putting those thoughts aside, I throughly enjoyed the shower I had with Hayato especially when I did a through cleaning of my Prince. After getting done with our shower, Hayato and I went back to the shared room we had with other trainers. We found our clothes had been washed and dried courtesy of Nurse Joy's Audino who seen our clothes and decided to have them washed along with some other things that needed to be washed for the next day. We were also thankful that no other trainers were in the room or were being peeing toms at the door or outside. Regardless of that, Hayato and I still made sure that we put our clothes back on along the sides of the window to prevent unwanted attention be brought on us. After putting our clothes back on, both of us were tired and got in bed with each other. I held on to Hayato as tight as I could without hurting him. Even though the Kalos Queen gave me her word that she would talk to her daughter about staying away from my Sky Prince, I was still wary and worried that she would try again.
oooooooooooooo
"I see you two are back," Viola said with a smile on her face. "The two challengers that came after you two left didn't exactly fair any better. They weren't even able to call out an attack to their Pokémon."
"Well, we're not gonna laugh about it," I said to Viola as we took our place on the challenger's side of the gym.
"The gym battle between the challengers, Vanna Seabright of the Oblivia region and Hayato Kaiou of Costa del Sol, and the gym leader Viola will now begin," the gym referee said as they took their place along the side of the ring. "The gym battle will end when one side's Pokémon are unable to battle. Begin!"
"Beedrill and Vikavolt, you're on!" Viola shouted as she threw her two Pokéballs and released her two Bug-type Pokémon against us.
"Titania, you're on," I called out as I released my female Mawile into battle.
"Phoenix, lets try again my friend," Hayato said as he released his Fletchinder from his Dream Ball.
"Battle begin!" exclaimed the gym ref.
"Phoenix use Wing Attack on Beedrill," Hayato said as he wasted no time going on the offensive and utilizing Phoenix's Gale Wings ability.
"Titania use Fire Fang on Vikavolt," I added as I joined in with Hayato.
"Dodge those attacks you two," Viola said to her two Bug-type Pokémon as our Pokémon bore down on her Pokémon.
Her Vikavolt managed to dodge Titania's Fire Fang, but her Beedrill got hit hard from Phoenix's Wing Attack. This time around, her Beedrill got caught in the webbing and couldn't get out. With this unexpected twist, Viola's gym referee disqualified her Beedrill from battling and allowing Phoenix to let out a sigh of relief that it wasn't him who got caught in webbing like last time. The gym referee then disqualified Viola's Beedrill as it couldn't get out of the webbing. As for her Vikavolt, he was a tougher customer to take down as both our Pokémon had to double team it just to try and inflict any damage on it. Phoenix was able to inflict some critical damage on Viola's Vikavolt and at a much faster rate thanks to his Gale Wings ability. On the downside though, since it was part Electric-type, Phoenix's Flying-type attacks weren't inflicting the super effective damage. But that didn't matter as it seemed that Phoenix was performing much better and that meant that Daisy had whipped him into shape. My Prince's shiny female Swellow was known for taking younger Flying-type Pokémon under her wing and whipping them into shape when they've struggled.
oooooooooooooo
"Congratulations on defeating me," Viola said to us as we pulled out a victory against her for our first gym badge to get into the Kalos League. "Now you two need to get seven more gym badges. And I strongly recommend that you too not try to tackle the gym in Lumiose City as Bonnie is quite powerful and has gotten much stronger since she returned from the Azoth Kingdom."
"Thank you," replied Hayato as the two of us bowed to Viola.
"If you're looking to get a bit stronger, I would recommend going to the Battle Chateau that's just past Lumiose City," Viola added with a slight smile.
"We go through the Trident Battle Palace," Hayato said to the Santalune City gym leader.
"Oh really?" Viola inquired as she had apparently heard about the battle arena back on Diamond Cove Bay Island back in the Atlantica Islands. "Sounds like you've a lot of experience under your belts."
oooooooooooooo
"So I think we should head to Cyllage City next," Hayato said after we got our Pokémon healed at the Pokémon Center.
"You sure that we should go along the original tour of gyms?" I asked my Prince as I was surprised by his decision.
"I think we're strong enough to take him on," Hayato answered with a smile.
"Then Cyllage City it is then," I replied with big smile on my face.
As we exited the Pokémon Center, our transportation then came and snatched me up and tried to bolt away without Hayato. And I could hear Hayato shouting to Arcanine to wait for him. Once I got the shiny male Legendary Pokémon under control, Hayato was able to catch and was completely out of breath by the time he caught up. The shiny Arcanine didn't like that he had to ferry my Prince along with me. But as he got on the shiny Arcanine's back, the shiny Fire-type Pokémon snarled at him to get in front of me like last time.
"What did I ever do to deserve this?" Hayato moaned sadly.

Author's note: Another chapter is up. I apologize for the long wait as I've been very busy with other projects and life in general. Another chapter is coming. Stay tuned folks!
