Afterward, Part 1

Konk konk! I knock on the other side of your screen.

"Hello," I say. "Light here again."

I slide off the edge of a desk and slowly walk around to the other side as I continue to say, "Well, here we are, at the end of another story. And, as before, I wanted to give you readers a chance to ask questions or make comments toward me or the characters of Dreamweaver's Shield. I had fun writing the last afterward for Sky Lines, and many of you have been really nice about what you've wanted to say and what you wanted to ask."

I sit down at the desk and pull out a stack of papers. "For those of you joining in, I designated a period of about two weeks after I finished Sky Lines for FFN readers to post comments and ask questions that will be answered by either myself or the characters in this story. After this post, I will post another chapter (even though I'll have Dreamweaver's Shield marked 'complete') in which I, along with the characters, will go through and answer questions you have or, otherwise, react to comments you've made. As I said, I had quite a bit of fun writing that afterward, and I hope to be able to do the same. I will be taking questions either through the Reviews section of this chapter or through my private messaging account here with FFN. I just have a few rules about how I want to do this smoothly.

"First, if you want me to answer a PM in the Afterward, let me know so that I will address it. If it's a question directed at a character, I will assume that it is meant to be answered in the Afterward, but I would prefer you to let me know so there's no confusion.

"Second, if you wish to put your question in the Reviews section, please make sure you submit it in this Afterward post. I will keep an eye out in case they go to the wrong chapter, but I would prefer them attached to this chapter so that they are easy to refer back to.

"Third. In light of the relatively easy volume in Sky Lines, I will allow up to three questions per reader. You can make comments to the characters as you like, but I prefer to keep the questions limited.

"Fourth. I know that it's hard to check, but please make sure you aren't asking a question that's already been asked. I can understand that you don't know what's been PM'd to me, and I will do my best to accommodate matching questions between the two sources. Just give the other reviews a glance before you ask.

"Although it isn't really a rule, I would prefer that questions be posted to the Reviews so that others can see what questions have been asked and what questions still need to be asked. And I ask that these posts are kept reasonable to a T rating. I know I changed the story to an M rating a while back, but I would like to keep things friendly and within certain bounds regarding what might be seen as adult content.

"And, well, one other thing. Again, I will not show favor toward whatever pairing you may see between Link and the other characters. Just as before, I will put up a poll so that you, the readers, can share which pairing was the most popular. I will include all characters from the previous poll since those characters didn't have a chance to shine in this story. If there is a character I should probably add to the poll, let me know, but I think I'll have everyone covered this time around.

"So, that should be everything then. I will be opening the poll the same day this chapter posts, and it will close the morning of April 13th. So, if you wish to participate, please make sure you have your questions/comments in by then." I shove the papers aside and wave to you. "See you then!"
