From that night I hear your laugh as I walk down this dormant path.
From that night I see your smile.
And I think, for you, I'd walk a mile.
When you glance down the street.
As the stray cats prowl around the light.
I know it's not me you wish to meet.
But still, your sadness, I will fight.
When your eyes open it's not me you see.
But still your eyes have captured me.
Swimming round with all the fish.
Out in the dark I'll make one wish.
I try to forget what I thought we had.
But inside I know my heart is sad.
Still I know that passed the lies.
Something will clear these stormy skies.
In your mind you know I'm trying.
But still, inside you know I'm dying.
I know that when you're out with her.
Your time with me just seems a blur.
I need to let you live your life.
I know time spent with you is rare.
I'll really try, I'll stop this strife.
But for you I'll always care.
You blame yourself for things that aren't your fault.
You never see yourself that clearly.
Out here I'm trapped in a rotted vault.
But I'll still be here when your eyes go blurry.
You get lost in life, stuck in time.
But then you hear the night bells chime.
You know I'm here but you ignore.
You choose instead to walk out the door.
You go to her, you hug her tight.
You call to me, you say goodnight.
For me, I know, the day is done.
But a spark of hope has just begun.
You should be happy, I know that now.
I'm trying to help, I just don't know how.
I know I should just go away.
But with you, my soul will always stay.
I'll stand right here filled with desire.
I only need you to ignite this fire.
I'll wait here and hope you'll see.
That one day you could be with me.
As the wolves hunt, covered by night.
The wind whispers passed and the owls take flight.
I know it's you I'll always miss.
I'll be forever waiting for your moonlit kiss.
