Dear readers,
This story has been discontinued for now. Because it is unfinished, I will be deleting this story. My apologies to all those who have read this story and were disappointed that it had been abandoned.
...of course, there is no way I would leave it at that! Over the years, I have kept tracking how this story was doing, and I have been constantly surprised by how well this story has done, considering this was my first work on the website. Because of this, I would like to inform you all of the following:
I will officially be rewriting Harry Potter and the Painting of Jörmungandr in 2022!
Yep! I plan on rewriting the entire thing (which, admittedly, is not a lot). I believe that my writing and attention to detail, as well as my time management skills, have improved over the years. It is therefore that I decided to rewrite this personal favorite of mine. It is truly the one story in my list of ideas that I have been most excited for over the years.
As you will have noticed, it says the story will have a reboot in 2022. The coming month, I plan on writing for the entire month during a vacation I am taking. However, I can not promise that I will upload the story soon after that. I plan on writing a large chunk of the story before uploading anything, and I will need to review and rewrite every chapter until I am satisfied with it. Do not worry, I will not settle for putting out mediocre writing! I will aim for this story to be something that stays at the top of the list for years to come. Together, we can make that happen.
As far as the story goes and its relationship to the existing chapters that are currently live: please do not expect them to be similar. I will keep the themes of the story (smarter Harry who sorts himself into Hufflepuff despite being a Slytherin, Parseltongue being a major part of the story), but anything else is subject to change. I wanted to tell you this beforehand. Because you all have supported me so much by reading this story (trust me, knowing that you guys read my work goes a long way!), I would like to give you the opportunity to let me know if there is anything you would like me to keep the same in the story. Note that this is not a guarantee. I will write what is best for the story. But if enough people want something, I will consider it. Feel free to let me know in a review, or shoot me a private message.
With all that said, I hope you all look forward to the rewrite of Harry Potter and the Painting of Jörmungandr. I can't wait for you to discover the mysteries, secrets and characters of this story that I have planned.
Until then,
Slytheron
