A/N: Okay, after giving it some thought, I've decided to do the Mega Level forms of Guilmon and Renamon. But there is going to be a bit of a twist to this.

Chapter Five: Mega

The day had been chaotic in the Shinjuku district. Lots of Wild Digimon were running around and creating havoc. The ones on the scene were both Gallantmon and Sakuyamon. Both Mega level Digimon were fighting to restore the peace that the rogue Digimon had broken. But it was a tough battle for them as they were the only ones fighting, even without their Tamers. Gallantmon brought his lance down on a Devidramon while Sakuyamon used Spirit Strike to bring down a few Fugamon. As the devilish dragon fell from the sky and the Fugamon fell to the ground, Gallantmon landed on the top of a building. Sakuyamon quickly joined him and said, "There doesn't seem to be an end to these hordes of Wild Digimon."

"It would go a lot faster if the others were here." Gallantmon said as he panted from the exertion. Sakuyamon shook her head, "They had their own things to take care of. Even Takato and Rika."

"Who would've guessed that Rika would invite him, Jeri and Ryo to a fashion show all the way in New York." Gallantmon said with a shake of his head. Sakuyamon agreed, "It does seem to be a coincidence."

They suddenly heard the sounds of a giant Digimon stomping around and looked to see one in the distance. Looking to the Digimon she loved Sakuyamon asked, "Ready to bring this to an end?"

"With you, I'm always ready." Gallantmon nodded and she smiled. The two Mega Level Digimon leapt off the roof and came at giant Digimon.

The final battle with the large Digimon had been long and fierce, but both Gallantmon and Sakuyamon finally managed it with their strongest attacks. Both Megas shouted, "Shield of the Just/Amethyst Wind."

A storm of pedals was unleashed from Sakuyamon while Gallantmon's shield started to glow and fired. The petals not only cut into the large Digimon but served as a distraction before the beam slammed into it. The large rogue Digimon cried out as it dissolved into data and ending the fight.

Both Mega Level Digimon panted from the long battle and Gallantmon looked to Sakuyamon and asked, "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Sakuyamon told him. Looking to the Royal Knight she said, "How about you?"

"Other than wanting to take a nice long rest, I think I'm good." Gallantmon said, making Sakuyamon laugh a little. Gallantmon's lance and shield transformed into hands. He took one of Sakuyamon's hands and said, "You were really amazing out there, Sakuyamon."

"You weren't so bad yourself Gallantmon." Sakuyamon complimented back. Then she said, "I'm just glad that we were able to acquire our Mega Level forms. It amazes me that we're able to do so without Bio-merging."

"It is a little weird." Gallantmon admitted. Then he asked, "Want to see something crazy and wild?"

"Even more than what we just fought?" Sakuyamon asked and gestured to where the large Digimon had been. Gallantmon gave a single nod and Sakuyamon said, "Show me."

Gallantmon raised his hands to his helmet and it surprised Sakuyamon when it seemed that it seemed to open up. When the helm was raised, Gallantmon's head seemed to change back into that of Guilmon. Sakuyamon thought it was both crazy and wild, but also funny of how it looked with Guilmon's head on Gallantmon's body. She chuckled when she asked, "When did you learn to do that?"

"A few weeks ago, actually." Guilmon/Gallantmon said as he looked about his body. He explained, "Ever since we learned how to Digi-volve on our own, I was just messing around and lifted my mask up.

"It really freaked Takato, Henry and Terriermon out when I showed them." He chuckled. Then he sheepishly rubbed the back of his saurian head with his metallic hand and admitted, "And I might have been a little stuck like this for a day or so."

"So that's why…?" Sakuyamon started to piece together. Guilmon/Gallantmon nodded, "Yeah, that's pretty much why I was trying to avoid you during that time. I'm sorry. I was afraid that you thought I looked ridiculous."

Sakuyamon didn't know what to say at first, but then an idea came to her. Setting her staff against a tree, she lifted her hands up to her fox mask before removing it. As it came off, she was able to make her head become that of Renamon. Guilmon/Gallantmon was very surprised that she was able to pull off that trick. He was even more surprised when she walked up to him and placed both hands on the chest plate. Renamon/Sakuyamon looked to the odd-looking Royal Knight Digimon and said, "It wouldn't matter to me anyway."

Then Renamon/Sakuyamon quickly leaned up and planted her lips against his. Guilmon/Gallantmon was greatly surprised by this, but returned it as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. They pulled away a second later and he asked, "You don't mind me this way?"

"Of course not." She shook her head. With her left hand she stroked his right cheek and said, "I love you too much.

"And it makes it easier for this to happen." She added, and he knew exactly what she meant. The two leaned forward and kissed once again. The two held each other close as the sun started to set.

Author's Note: I told you that this was going to have a bit of a twist in it. And I know, I know, that they don't really do that, or can. I just thought that it would be kind of cool in a way. Plus, it makes for a nice ending in my opinion. But this really is the end for this little story. I look forward to reading your reviews.
