Momonga, tired of being killed over and over again by Yggdrasil PK:ers, decides to give the game one last try before giving up. Though he isn't willing to discard the dream of a dark spellcaster, the salary man instead chooses a race that's more widely accepted in the community- a Fallen Angel. How will he fare in the New World with greater emotions and a more impulsive nature?

An event, simply known as 'the Catastrophe' shook the New World to its core, diverging the new world's history from the original book. Now finding himself in a post-apocalyptic world and his guild base absolutely destroyed, Momonga began the search for his friend and the source behind the destruction.
