Chapter 2

In this chapter, Issei will be ready to face off against some members of the Red Axis, but he'll have trouble and need help against ships like Kaga, Kagari, Prinz Eugen, and other more skilled members. The Boosted Gear can still operate as it did in the DXD world thanks to the Wisdom Cube that the Sirens put inside of him, and yes, his ship form does look female and biologically is female, but he's still male in his standard form.

His ship form is a swordswoman skilled in using the two dragon heads that can both Boost and Divide the user and enemies' strengths. I figured Issei's ship form would be a Sakura Empire ship since he is Japanese, and the vessels of the Sakura Empire are a perfect example of Japan. Issei will eventually meet Observer, but he won't engage her in battle.

Azur Lane Headquarters.

Issei was moaning in his sleep from his exercises from yesterday with Belfast and Queen Elizabeth. His kimono came undone, revealing his lovely bust, making him moan as he was still in his ship form before a ray of the cruel, cruel sun blinded him for a moment, which was done by Belfast as she opened up the curtains making Issei curl up under his blanket as the maid sighed at her master's childish actions.

"Rise and Shine Issei Hyoudou. And must you sleep in your ship form again? You always have bad bed hair when you wake up like this." Belfast said as she lightly scolded Issei before he sat up, still tired with his kimono still undone and his long hair messed up. His bust was shown to the world as he yawned for a bit and smiled tiredly at Belfast.

"Good morning Belfast. Can I go back to sleep now? I'm still tired from yesterday's training." Issei said, hoping to go back to sleep before Belfast sighed but smiled at her cute master/mistress as she helped the ship-boy out of bed before bringing him to the bathroom, washing his face off before brushing the long hair so it looked tame.

"Honestly, for a boy who's been here for a month now, you seem to enjoy your Ship form more than your normal form," Belfast said as Issei groaned as he had trouble waking up. "It's because this is more comfortable. Plus, I have Elsha and Yukihime to wake me up." He said as he gestured to the sleeping dragon cannons next to him before Belfast adjusted his kimono to make him presentable and modest without any girls blushing at his new feminine features in his ship form. Again.

"I know, but those lazy dragons refuse to wake you up. Plus, you almost skipped breakfast. Now no more arguing." Belfast said to Issei, who was now dressed and groomed, before the duo left to stop at Enterprise's room, where the woman was sleeping in what looked like nightwear until Belfast sighed at the second lady she was tending to.

"Honestly, it's like you both are a match made for each other," Belfast said as Issei looked at Enterprise's sleeping face and fell asleep on the USS Enterprise's bust, making the older woman whimper happily as she hugged him into her bust as if trying to spoon him.

Belfast felt her eye twitch at the scene before rubbing her forehead to stop the incoming migraine. Issei and Enterprise were beginning to get on her nerves somewhat. "You lazy boy..."

Belfast then pulled the two apart as they both moaned from the loss of each other's touch until Belfast rolled Enterprise out of bed before dressing her up and pulling them both by the ears until they sat in the cafeteria where Belfast was staring at the two of them, who was nervous under her glare while their food was in front of them.

"Eat. You both must eat." Belfast said as she stared at the two of them.

"B-But we're not hungry."

"Agreed. I'm fine." The two in trouble said as Belfast sighed before pulling their ears once more, making them wince in pain until she spoke to them like a wife scolding her husband, making the other ships chuckle at sight.

"They look like a married couple."

"Aw, poor bed. Maybe me napping on him again will help." Laffey said as Javelin stopped her from walking over to them while Queen Elizabeth chuckled at the two women being scolded by her maid. "Indeed, Belfast truly is the wife in the relationship but is a terrifying one when mad."

Belfast overheard what the other ships were saying and felt very flustered. 'Why does the thought of being Issei's wife make me feel so happy inside?' Enterprise, however, didn't like how they called Belfast Issei's wife. 'Hmph, I've known the new ship longer. So clearly, I should be his wife... W-Where did that thought come from...?'

Issei blushed at the image that came into his mind before he began to eat as he let his ship form deactivate while enjoying his meal. He'd been spending about a month in the Azur Lane base, and honestly, he was glad to have met the base since the girls were amiable and funny.

There was so much more to do at the base rather than training and going to the local school here, such as shopping, the beach, and enjoying the clouds in the sky. He was able to go on missions after proving himself by aiding Enterprise and Belfast to assist some ships from the Royal Navy until the Red Axis sent two members of Sakura Empire to intercept them. Shoukaku, the Aircraft Carrier, and swordswoman Suizaku. The swordswoman was a problematic opponent for Issei to clash with before he recognized her from the invasion by Kaga and Akagi. The two had fought hard, but they were forced to retreat with the others when IronBlood came in to join them, and Prinz Eugen decided to play with them a bit.

Well, she mostly teased Issei, if you call that playing. Issei couldn't concentrate during that fight because Prinz used Issei's love for women against him. Thankfully, Enterprise managed to push Prinz away, along with Cleveland shouting something about 'keeping her pervy hands away from Ise-Kun!'.

Issei blushed at the reminder from that battle until he saw Cleveland in question blush as she sat next to him. "Uh….G-Good morning Issei. How are you doing?" She asked as he replied to her. "F-Fine um…and you?"

"F-Fine." They said to each other until Belfast left with Enterprise before the maid looked at him. "Issei. You'll be given a mission soon, so you should be prepared to ship out soon."

Issei sighed lightly at the message before he nodded. "I understand Belfast." Belfast giggled lightly. "Tell you what, Issei? If you be a good boy today and work hard on this mission... I'll reward you by cuddling you tonight." Issei's eyes glowed comically green before he gave Belfast a thumbs up. "It's a deal!"

This made Cleveland pout angrily as she yelled back at Belfast. "Hey! I found him first, so I should cuddle with him!" She said with a bright blush before Belfast giggled at the embarrassed ship before nodding.

"Your right. Then Issei, should you be okay with Cleveland?"

"Uh…s-sure," Issei said as he looked at the ship he first met until Laffey came over to them and sat on Issei's lap. "Mmm….Good morning bed. Can you play with me today? Cleveland can play with us too." She asked as she looked at him with her tired but cute eyes while nibbling on a biscuit.

Issei looked back at Belfast and asked. "When do we leave?"

"In two hours," Belfast replied as Issei then turned back to Laffey with a smile. "Yes, Cleveland and I can play with you, Laffey-Chan."

Laffey smiled as she looked at Issei with a moe face before sitting up and kissing his lips, making Javelin, Cleveland, Enterprise blush in shock while Queen Elizabeth and Belfast smiled at this.

"E-EHHHHHHH!!"

A few minutes later….

Issei was walking with Cleveland next to him while Laffey was on his back, snuggling into him. "Mmm……Thank you, Ise-Bed. You are a warm bed with soft pillows." She said before Cleveland growled lowly at the sleepy rabbit ship. "I'm going to murder her someday."

Issei chuckled nervously as he remembered what happened after Laffey had kissed him. Cleveland and Javelin began chasing the poor girl, who had run away as Chibi Nezuko did in Demon Slayer. Enterprise entered a nasty shock that it looked like she had turned to stone. Elizabeth was laughing and couldn't wait to tell her comrades at home what had transpired, and while Belfast was smiling, she felt a negative emotion swell up in her chest.

Issei was chuckling nervously until the chase ended, and Belfast left with a shocked Enterprise and laughing Elizabeth. "Cleveland, will you please calm down?"

"No! Because it's not fair! It's your fault for making me feel this way. I should've been your first kiss! Not a girl who looks like she's your little sister!" Cleveland said as she pointed to Laffey until Issei looked at Javelin, who was walking next to them, and pointed at her. "Javelin is more of my sister. She's shy and adorable, making you want to love her. Even if she is a bit clumsy."

"No, I'm not!" Javelin said with a red face until Issei looked at her and asked. "Oh really? What about the Crab Incident? Or the Stripping Incident?"

"That was Laffey's fault! She stripped me!" The short British ship said while pointing an accusing finger at a shocked rabbit. "No, I didn't. I was sleeping."

"Laffey must've fallen asleep and stripped you or accidentally pulled your skirt down."

"Don't defend the little Sheep Demon!"

Issei and Javelin argued over Laffey's innocence until the small rabbit leaped onto Javelin and slept on the girl. "Mmm….Nice and cool. Night Night."

"Your sleeping again already? How many naps do you have to take? And why are you so heavy?" Javelin asked as she tried to push Laffey off of her until she noticed Issei and Cleveland were gone.

"ISSEI-BAKA! I'LL KILL YOU!"

"That was rude of you, Issei," Cleveland said as she sat next to Issei at the beach bar while Issei chuckled nervously before replying to her. "Well, I was mostly shocked to see Laffey leap towards Javelin." He said while sipping his drink before Cleveland nodded.

"Yeah, but I hear we're getting ally's coming in soon. They said their names were West Virginia, Maryland, and Colorado or, as I call them, the Goth Trio." She said before looking at Issei and asking. "Hey….Would….Would you be against dating me? I-I know about your past, and I understand if you say no, but the month we spent together made me….feel closer to you. Plus, with you and that kiss, Eugen gave you." She said while sipping her drink as Issei blushed at the woman's teasing kiss. "….It's not like that. I…I was taken off guard by her….teasing."

"Yeah, sure. Teasing. Face it, Issei! That Eugen bitch was swapping spit with you, and you looked to have been enjoying it had Enterprise not swiped you away and attempted to blow that German sky high!" Cleveland said with an angry look as Issei looked away before seeing Eugen in different attires such as….

The maid outfit.

Eugen smiled while serving her master before sitting in front of him with a cookie in her mouth. 'Care to taste the sweets I made for you, master?'

The Boss's Attire…

Eugen was smiling while sitting on Issei's lap and grabbed his tie before whispering in his ear. "Care to help your boss with some paperwork in my office? Alone."

And finally….The Wedding Ball….

"Would you marry me, my lovely Commander? What shall you do? You truly are a dense commander. I have long stopped being the empty person I was before. Did you forget that you were the one who changed me, my love?"

Issei was amazed by the woman in the different scenarios until a voice called out to him.

"-Sei? Hey Issei! Wake up!"

Issei snapped out of it, only to see Cleveland on his lap, shaking him lightly. "Were you even listening to a word I was saying?! Ugh! You are so damn dense!" Cleveland said as Issei felt his entire face flush before he looked down shyly and nodded swiftly. "Y-Yes... I was going to ask you that."

'He didn't listen, but I like the new conversation.' Cleveland then took his hand and got on one knee, making him blush as she asked him with a lovely smile, with the sunlight making her shine brighter.

"Issei Hyoudou. Will you go out with me?" "Y-Yes!" Issei said, embarrassed as Cleveland smiled as she took his hand and nodded. "Good, then when you get back from your mission, it's a date." She said before snickering at sight behind him. "But I think your sister is mad."

"I finally found you!" Javelin shouted as she was panting heavily with Laffey on her legs, making the girl trip and fall into the sand once more before she yelled from a crab pinching her rear.

Cleveland laughed her head off while Issei ran to check on Javelin. "Javelin-Nee, you okay?!"

"I'm going to rip off what makes you a man!" Issei zipped right back to Cleveland. "I'm not getting near a raging Javelin."

"Ise-Bed." Issei looked down to see Laffey clinging to his leg. "Hugs."

Issei looked down at her and did so before Cleveland chuckled at her. "Oh, Laffey. That's my man. If you want a real man, drink more of Belfast's milk." She said with a smug grin before Laffey looked at her chest before looking at Cleveland. "Those with fake boobs can't be called women. Now leave us alone old hag."

Cleveland turned comically white before her eyes turned comically angry. "You littlllllle! It's honestly beyond me why Wales allows you to stay here. You're so freaking rude!"

"Issei! There you are!" Issie turned to see Wales running over to him. "We need to go immediately!" Issei growled in anger. "FUCK!!" Issei suddenly turned into his battleship form, Elsha, and Yukihime both letting out roars. "How much time do we have before we leave?"

"Thirty seconds, now get moving!" Wales said as Issei sped off on the water towards the meeting room thanks to a well-placed Boost into his jump before crashing into the window to see Illustrious and Queen Elizabeth looking at him with a surprised face before it became annoying. "Issei. You broke the window."

"But the meeting…."

"You still had an hour. Didn't Wales tell you?" Illustrious asked as she looked at Issei's shocked face before the rabbit sighed. "Ise-Bed. I'm dizzy…."

Issei's aura flared violently. "That woman... literally told me to book it." Elizabeth facepalmed before she looked at Illustrious. "This is your fault, and you know it. You rushed the poor woman!"

Illustrious sighed as she nodded. "I'll admit. That's on my part, but I'm glad your here, Issei. Now I'll have to give you the mission early. It's a reconnaissance mission. You are to infiltrate the Sakura Empire and learn how they control the Siren Ships. They haven't seen your ship form, just your human form, so they shouldn't recognize you but be wary of Akagi. Something isn't right about her. You'll be going solo on this, and this is a test. Do you accept this mission?"

Issei immediately saluted as he yelled. "Ma'am, yes, ma'am!" Illustrious nodded with a giggle. "Good, good. I'll be with you to reward you for your hard work once you return." Issei blushed lightly, making Elizabeth laugh. "May want to rephrase that, Illustrious, you are giving poor Welsh the wrong idea!"

Illustrious giggled as she replied. "Your reward will be a wife. You did say you wish for a wife, no? I'll allow you to marry one of the girls when you return. Shall I go ahead and make preparations for it? It's due to the issue of the emotional damage done to the base, so seeing a union will make them truly happy and lift their spirits. Sounds lovely, No?"

Issei was even more flushed until he found a way to combat Illustrious' teasing. Issei smirked before pointing at Illustrious. "In that case, I want you to be my bride when I return."

Illustrious smirked at him and giggled. "Oh well, then I guess Enterprise and Cleveland will be so sad and upset." Said the beautiful woman until Issei felt someone nibbling his arm as he looked at Laffey, giving him a cute pout and glare. "Baka-Bed. Ise-Bed is my bed."

Issei grumbled under his breath until he snapped out of it. "Oh! I almost forgot! None of you know of my dream, do you?"

"To be a harem king?" Illustrious asked as Issei was shocked. "How'd you know that? I never told you that." Queen Elizabeth laughed as she replied to his question. "You made of obvious when you mumbled 'Harem King' in your sleep when Belfast was helping you rest."

Issei grumbled yet again, making Illustrious giggle before she smiled. "Take me on a date first, and then we'll see if I want to marry you or not. Okay, Issei?" Issei was shocked for a moment before he grinned. "Yes, ma'am!" Issei then placed Laffey down before blasting off through yet another window, angering Elizabeth. "EXIT LIKE A NORMAL PERSON, YOU NONCE!!"

Issei laughed at the small queen's anger before he went back to his room and was getting ready until seeing that Cleveland was already there with Wales. They had a staredown before Wales smiled at Issei. "Ah, Issei. Your girlfriend and I were chatting just now. Please come in." She said with a tone of protectiveness in her words.

Issei rose a brow before doing just that as Yukihime closed the door behind him. For some reason, Issei felt like a dog with its tail between its legs. "I-Is there something the matter Wales?"

Wales looked at him and Cleveland before asking. "Tell me, Cleveland, why do you intend to go out with my son? Know your answer will determine my decision."

Issei's eyes widened, and Cleveland's jaw dropped. "EHHHHHH?!" "S-S-SON?! W-WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT WALES?!"

Wales looked at Issei and replied. "You may be a Sakura Ship, but you also are of the Wales Ships, so you are my son. Now back to the question. Why do you wish to date my son Cleveland? There are other girls like you in Azur Lane who want to marry him, so answer me honestly, or I'll forbid you from seeing my son."

Cleveland turned comically white. She was now utterly terrified. Issei was nervous as hell, but he wouldn't let this stand. "W-Wales! Cleveland technically found me and saved my life! And not just that, but she's been a true friend since I arrived here. We've gotten close to each other, to where she just fell for me. Isn't that right, Cleveland?"

Cleveland nodded as she replied. "It's the truth, and granted, Issei can be a bit dense since he fantasizes about other women, but I believe I can make him happy, so I beg of you, Prince of Wales, to please let me date your son with the hopes of marriage in mind," Cleveland said as she bowed to Wales before the woman looked at Issei and the girl before sighing loudly.

"Very well, but know if you make Issei sad, I'll gladly shoot you from a cannon. Is that clear? And Issei? Treat her nicely, or I'll have to punish you with rigorous target practice." She said with a kind face and smile, but the tone scared the two as they saw a demon version of her laughing at the two of them while smiling.

"Y-Yes, Ms. Wales!" "O-Of course, mother." Issei slapped his hands over his mouth, making Cleveland look at her boyfriend in shock. Wales went stiff the moment Issei said that until a bright smile made its way onto her face. Wales then walked up to Issei and gave him a big hug. "Good luck on your mission, honey." Issei blushed as he hugged Wales back. "T-Thanks Wa- I mean mother."

Wales smiled at the name before leaving the two alone as they sat in awkward silence until Cleveland scooted closer to him. "Uh….Issei…" "Y-Yeah, Cleveland?"

"W-Would you….." Cleveland started as she was nervous until she got on a knee and took his when before yelling.

"WILL YOU PLEASE MARRY ME!"

Issei's eyes widened before he burst out laughing. "H-Hey! I'm being serious here!" "I-I know you are! But shouldn't it be me doing the proposing? I am the man here."

Cleveland smiled before laughing with him until Issei took her hand and nodded. "When I return from my mission, I will marry you." 'Thank you, Mother and Heaven, from above!' Cleveland smiled at this as she looked nervous until she leaned up and kissed his lips before Issei reciprocated the kiss, making Cleveland happy before the two began to get a bit hot by the heat, making their cubes glow a bit until Issei and Cleveland parted from the kiss.

"Why the wedding? Let's skip to our honeymoon." Cleveland said as she sat on Issei after pushing him on the bed.

"W-Whoa! Are you sure you want to just... you know." Cleveland giggled as she ripped off Issei's kimono, making him blush as she had some pink in her eyes. "Issei... no, Captain Ise~." Cleveland threw her white cape to the floor before taking off her shirt, revealing that she was not wearing a bra. "Your wife wants you, Captain Ise~."

Issei blushed at this before Cleveland leaned down to kiss him again until….

SLAM!

"Issei-NiiSan! Time to….." Javelin said until she looked at the site before yelling.

"PERVERT!!"

"So may I ask why Javelin is passed out from a bloody nose and why you two were about to do the deed without marriage?" Illustrious asked as Wales was glaring a hole into Cleveland, who was nervous under the woman's glare while Issei was under Illustrious's glare. Belfast and Enterprise offered no help as are former voiced an apology while Enterprise looked away from the two when Issei looked at her for help.

Issei then did the one thing he would regret for the rest of his living days. "Headingoutforthemissionbye!" Issei then immediately transformed and jumped out a window again. "I REGRET FUCKING NOTHING!!"

Queen Elizabeth groaned at this before Illustrious giggled at his answer. "Prepare for the wedding. I'll give him a talking to when he returns." She said with a dark chuckle as Wales grabbed Cleveland by the shirt and dragged her out before screaming. "Forgive your wife, Issei!"

As for Issei, he was able to get sent off towards the Sakura Empire, but as he reached his destination, he looked and was amazed by sight.

"N-No way……" He said with wide eyes as he looked at the cherry blossoms and the temples and the little ship girls running around happily while shrine maidens were helping the community. "This….This is just like home but…..more beautiful."

Issei smacked himself. "Focus Issei. You're here on a reconnaissance mission. You're not here to move in." Issei finally arrived at the docks, where Akagi was waiting for him. Issei sweated lightly before Akagi laughed joyfully. "Oh, welcome home, little Sakura Petal! When I heard there was a member of our empire found stranded out to sea, I couldn't help but have reinforcements sent to you immediately!" Issei felt his face flush slightly at the affectionate hug until he saw the love in her eyes. 'She sounds like a relieved and happy sister.'

Akagi smiled as she hugged Issei's form into her arms and gently kissed his forehead. "Now then, why don't we go see Kaga. Oh, and please don't mind the IronBlood warriors here. They are our comrades in this war with Azur Lane, and now I believe it's time to get you a nice home and some food." Akagi said as she led Issei into the town, where he was amazed by the many ship children and other members walking around until he saw a familiar face.

"Oh, and who might this little cutie be, Akagi?" Prinz Eugen asked as she looked over Issei's form before smiling at her rear. "Oh! Such a nice cake you have here. I could just gobble you up." She said as she rubbed a hand on Issei's rear, making him blush at the contact before Akagi stopped her. "That's enough, Eugen. I won't allow you to mess with one of my girls. Now comes Sakura. Let's leave the tease be."

"Oh, come on, Akagi. She looks so cute." Eugen said as she tried to explain her actions until Akagi glared at her while holding Issei protectively. "No means no, German Succubus." While Akagi was against Eugen touching Issei, the young man thought otherwise. 'God, what I wouldn't give to make Eugen my wife!'

Eugen smiled at Issei and pointed to him. "Well, she seems to like it."

"That's because she's new and lost. Now leave before I burn you to ash." Akagi held out a hand and let flames dance around it before she narrowed her eyes at Eugen, who nodded at the fox girl. "Okay, Okay. Goodbye, little Sakura. I can't wait to taste you again." Eugen said before wagging her hips as Akagi pulled Issei out of his delusions. "Be careful with her, Sakura. She's a tease and loves to date many girls; now, let's report them to our leader. Kaga will get you situated in the Empire." Akagi said as she led Issei to Nagato and Kaga, who was surprised to see Sakura blushing at Kaga before the white-haired fox tackled the ship girl and was about to mark Issei as her mate until Akagi stopped the fox as fire erupted in the meeting room.

Kaga couldn't look at Issei, and she felt ashamed of herself. 'I-I can't believe I lost control like that. Sakura has only been here for a day, and here I am throwing myself at her like some animal in heat.' Kaga kept berating herself until Issei pulled on her cloak. "U-Um, Kaga-Sama?" Issei asked with a faint blush on his cheeks. "Y-Yes, Sakura?!"

"Could we go to the training area? I-I want to see those who train to protect the Empire." Kaga sighed in relief at the change in the subject before she smiled at Sakura. "Of course, Sakura. Please follow me."

The two went to the training area to see two girls in officer girls wielding swords and clashing with Zuikaku until they stopped seeing Kaga and Issei. "Kaga! Great to see you again. Who's the girl with you?" She asked as Kaga introduced Issei to them. "This is Aircraft Carrier Sakura. Sakura, these are Takao and Atago. They're sisters and hard to tell unless you recognize their ears. And this is Zuikaku. She's a bit mad she lost to Enterprise." Kaga said as Zuikaku was red from anger and yelled back. "I didn't lose to her! She just caught me off guard." She said with a pout as she looked away from the Fox.

Meanwhile, Issei discreetly deadpanned at the rebuttal before internally shaking his head. 'No, you got your ass handed to you on a silver platter.'

Issei suddenly let out a squeak; as he turned to see Atago grinning lightly. "My my~. What a nice bottom you got, Sakura. I think I've found my way of greeting you." Takao slowly unsheathed her sword as she eyed her sister. "Shameful sister of mine, release that poor woman from your perverted clutches!"

'Wait! Atago is a pervert like me?!' Issei thought as Atago pouted at her sister. "Aw, are you feeling left out, Takao-Chan? Here, I'll give your breasts a nice massage~!" She said as she made a grabbing motion with her hands until Takao glared at her with anger in her eyes.

"Keep away from my bust, you horny cat, or I'll skin your alive!" Takao shouted as she chased Atago around the training arena until Issei looked at Zuikaku and asked. "Are they always like this?"

"Unfortunately, yes. Takao is the mature older sister, while Atago is the childish, playful but perverted younger sister. It's the setup for a sad sitcom." Issei giggled lightly at the reply, but internally, he was dancing a jig. 'I finally found a woman who is a pervert just like me! Not to say Aika wasn't a pervert, but it's clear she has a breast fetish as I do! I hope Cleveland doesn't mind me bringing another wife home. ...Did I just imply I was going to kidnap Atago?'

"Ura? Sakura? Are you okay?" Kaga asked as she lightly shook Sakura, who nodded before standing at attention. "Y-Yes, K-Kaga-sama! I was just feeling a little under the weather. Hahahaha!" He said, hoping Kaga would buy the act until a message flew down to Kaga before her eyes narrowed at it. "Very well then. You can go rest up in the inn. I'll take you there. It seems Lady Nagato is asking for my presence. Again." Kaga said as she clenched her teeth as she dropped Issei off at the inn and left him alone.

Issei decided to drop his Ship Form once he knew he was alone for the time being. He sighed heavily before adjusting the kimono he had on him, thanks to the closet. "Ugh... I've underestimated how long I can stay in my Ship Form. I-I'll take a small nap and then transform back." Issei said before sleeping soundly in the bed for a while until he woke up in a place that was a sizeable vast ocean.

He saw that it was nightfall until he saw a large ship come forth from a large portal with Akagi on top of it, but her eyes seemed to be blank as another person seemed to be holding her.

"What is that? And who's that with Akagi?" Issei asked himself before seeing the scene change as Siren Ships, and Sirens themselves were bombarding the Azur Lane until one approached Issei.

[To think all of this could've been avoided had you not drowned in the ocean.] Observer said as she smiled sadistically at Issei until the tentacles wrapped around Issei and threw him into the water. He tried to struggle out of the tentacles, but they were too strong as his eyes widened at the cannons preparing to fire at his being.

Observer smiled at him as she gave him a small wave of her hand. [Bye, Bye. Anomaly.]

BOOM!

Issei suddenly shot awake. He began breathing heavily as sweat dripped off of his body. 'W-What the fuck was that? A vision?' Issei calmed his breathing before he sat up, only to get a face of large soft marshmallows. "Ara~. Such a forward young man you are~."

Issei looked to see a woman sitting on top of him as she put her finger on his lips. "Shhh…..Keep quiet, or you'll alert the others. My name is Eugen, but you already know that, my love. Amazingly, you snuck in under that clever disguise. No wonder you looked so cute as one of us. Let me guess. Reconnaissance to learn about the Sirens?"

Issei's eyes widened as she heard this before asking Eugen. "How did you-?"

"Trust me, my love, I'm just as confused about them as you are. I was sent here by Graf Zeppelin to investigate these Sirens, but I need to make it look like I'm on board with the Sakura Empire. And sorry to break it to you, my love, but if I saw through your disguise... that means Akagi will see through it real soon."

Issei was shocked at this revelation until Eugen helped Issei turn back into Sakura. "Look, I suggest you go to the cave where Akagi went. I must report to my commander, but I hope you are well and safe." Eugen said before pulling Issei into her arms. "I would be sad if my husband left me alone after all.~" Eugen said before kissing Issei's lips until she left him alone in the room.

Issei was now at the cave of the Sakura Empire that served as their harbor until he was shocked to see the massive ship. "That's the same one I saw in my dream," Issei whispered to himself as he got closer to see Akagi pull out a black cube of sorts and place it into the ship, making it power up a bit before a very familiar voice spoke to Akagi.

[Mmmm….That was some good energy, but one more should do the trick before we can have some fun.] Observer said as she sighed while pulling out another Black Cube from her chest before sending it to Akagi.

[The Goal of project Orochi is not to make any ship. No more of an ark meant to carry every wish and dream across the ocean.] She said in her strange voice as she neared Akagi and licked her cheeks a bit before whispering in her ear. [You'll be reunited soon enough.]

"Leave this place before someone sees you," Akagi said until a small voice perked up.

"I should get out of her, meow. I saw something clawful."

"Oh? It seems we have an uninvited guest." Issei looked to see a green-haired Neko girl. Issei sighed. 'Eugen... I'm sorry if I end up breaking my promise.' Before the Observer could grab the poor Neko girl, Issei immediately acted. "Yukihime!"

[DIVIDE!] Yukihime's Dragon Head chomped into the Observer's tendril before Issei jumped down in front of the green-haired Neko. Akagi gasped when she saw Issei, but she grew to become insanely concerned. "Sakura, honey! What are you doing here?!" Issei snarled violently as he replied. "Stopping you from doing something foolish." Issei then grabbed the Neko girl and booked it. "Elsha!"

[BOOST!]

"Nyahhhhhhhh!" The Neko screamed as the boost was sent to his legs. Issei made a swift escape with the girl in his arms.

The dragon and the Neko were almost at the exit of the harbor until a blast of blue fire stopped him in his tracks. "Apologies, Issei, but we cannot let you leave now that you know of what we're doing." Kaga said as she hid her blush well while standing next to Akagi, who had her ship form out before the Observer smiled at him. [Why hello, Issei Hyoudou. Did you love the dream I gave before waking up?]

Issei growled at the Observer. "Go fuck yourself, you fucking Sea Hag! You already took away one family from me, AND I'M NOT GOING TO LET YOU TAKE ANOTHER ONE!!" Issei immediately detached the Neko from his body before putting her in a boat and starting it. "This boat will take you to Azur Lane. Don't look back. At least one of us should make it back alive." Issei said as he looked at the cloaked individual in the boat before whispering in her ear. "Take the kid and run. Don't look back. I can do this." Issei said as the individual stiffly nodded as she grabbed the Neko and ran away in the boat.

Observer watched the two leave as she focused on Issei before she smiled at him. [Sacrificing yourself for your comrades? Noble, but foolish since you have no reinforcements and nowhere to run.]

Issei looked around to see that he was surrounded by Kaga and Akagi's planes before Issei knew when he was beaten, and if he continued to fight now, they would fire everything they had at him. Issei sighed at his defeat before deactivating his Ship Form and held his hands behind his back, gasping everyone. Akagi's face turned cold. "Issei Hyoudou... yes, I remember you. You were the one Enterprise rescued a month back. How did you become a Ship?"

"Go fuck yourself, that's how."

Akagi narrowed her eyes before smiling sadistically as she kicked him. "Well then. I suppose it's time we sent Azur Lane a small….." She had her planes aim at Issei as Observer smiled at this display while Kaga was frightened by this. "Akagi, wait!"

"Warning about what happens to their spies."

An Hour Later……

Azur Lane Headquarters.

Wales was with Cleveland at the harbor waiting for Issei to return as they found Sheffield with a prisoner. Still, the report scared them and had them worried about Issei escaping the Sakura Empire until they saw a particular trio come forward to the harbor with a small boat behind one of them.

"Lady Wales! We need a repair ship! Now!"

Wales turned around upon hearing one of the voices of the all too familiar trio, only for her eyes to widen in horror at what she saw.

Wales let the trio come in as they saw Issei in his ship form. His dragon heads were crushed and destroyed. His arm cannon was blown up as the arm, with a lot of force, overcame it. Third-degree burns were on the upper part of his body, and a familiar mark of the Sakura Empire was on Issei's exposed chest as his Wisdom Cube glowed dimly. Wales clenched her fist as she saw the note on him.

{This is what we do with spies and traitors. Ta Ta Azur Lane, and don't take our warning lightly. From Akagi.}

Wales took the note as she looked at the trio and Cleveland before sounding the alarm.

"Bring him to the baths and have a repair ship ready. NOW!"

The mission was a failure, and Azur Lane paid the price. A possible future is given to the dragon, but…..is it possible to change fate?
