An Apology:
It's no secret that I haven't really uploaded that much recently. The reason for it is an ugly one, but I reckon (what's left of) you guys have had more than your fill of radio silence over the past 3 years.
My attention and writer's muse has been taken elsewhere. To the world of Dark Souls.
There are two reasons for me abandoning this story. Earlier this month, I played my first Dark Souls game, Dark Souls 3. I was fucking hooked. The gritty, detailed, and expansive world... it would suck in any lore-appreciating, story-minded soul, including me. It also didn't help that I dropped Overwatch back in 2018 and wasn't playing TF2 much anymore except with friends.
Second reason is that it seems like over my 3 year absence, the TF2/Overwatch crossover fanbase has shrunk considerably. I'm raking in only around 20 views a day even though my story was the second most popular story back in the day.
So a lack of popularity is not making me want to spend 3+ hours a day planning and writing shit while another more interesting (and more active) world is beckoning me over.
Perhaps another reason could be that I finally grew out of this stuff. I created this story to cash in on all the "Overwatch vs TF2" hype back in 2016. Modern me is just simple no longer interested in this stuff anymore.
It took me 2 weeks to finally get this out because I know how much of a buzzkill it is. If I were any one of you, dear readers who have stuck with me, I would be pissed. I can do nothing else but offer a massive apology. I cannot do something well if I'm not interested or incentivized. I will leave this story up, in hopes I return someday. For now, my new Dark Souls story, titled "Beyond the Dark", is still in its planning phase. It will probably release sometime in the next few weeks.
Once again, I'm sorry.
