The Start of Conflicts
Percy was back and waiting at Platform 9 3/4. He didn't know why, but he seems to be more jumpy and nervous than his usual ADHD self. He begins to fiddle with the wheels of his skateboard, as he looked around the station. He was hoping to find a familiar blonde but he couldn't find her.
Nothing can calm his jittery nerves now, not even his mother who sweetly smiled at him.
He always has this gut feeling that tells him if things are going wrong. Though, he always ignored said gut feeling, but the churning in his gut is rather strong today.
Then, he heard the train coming and it snapped him out of his thoughts. He watched as the train comes in, it went slow mo on him and just as some of the students boarded the train.
He caught a glimpse of familiar honey blonde hair. So, quickly with no second thought. He hugged his mother goodbye before swiftly boarding the train. He managed to squeeze and pass trough the sea of students.
He tried to find the familiar blonde hair, but to his disappointment–she had already disappear.
Sighing in disappointment, he decided to look for a compartment and he finds one but to say that he wasn't disappointed was true, well...
"Oh hello, Percy." greeted Hermione and the young boy politely responded with a smile.
Seeing that, the other compartments were full. Maybe sharing with Hermione isn't a bad idea. The brunette was a nice girl, smart and bossy but it doesn't have that same feeling.
Nodding, he settled himself in and sat himself across from the girl who was reading a large book.
Percy minded his own business. He was thankful that the girl was busy sticking her nose into books rather than talking to him. Letting out a sigh, he pulled out one wizard world candy from his pocket which is a chocolate frog. He opened it and got Dumbledore as his card.
Just as he was chewing the chocolate, he begins to read said card.
ALBUS DUMBLEDORECURRENTLY HEADMASTER OFHOGWARTS
Considered by many the greatest wizard of modern times, Dumbledore is particularly famous for his defeat of the Dark WizardGrindelwald in1945, for the discovery of the twelve uses of dragon's blood, and his work on alchemy with his partner, Nicolas Flamel. Professor Dumbledore enjoys chamber music and ten-pin bowling.
Interesting fact about his headmaster. Sighing, he was about to slip the card in his pocket when he heard the brunette girl across from him muttering out loud.
"This is really frustrating, I can't find a single information about Nicolas Flamel. Not even a mention of him!" groaned Hermione, before realizing that she wasn't alone. Judging at the way that he had stared at him, Percy realized that she was doing secrecy work so–
He raised both of his arms and said, "Uh don't mind me. I'm not even here, I'm just a hallucination."
The girl didn't look amused though, but her eyes were wide as a puffer fish. It's like she was caught and he didn't know why finding the person name Nicolas Flamel should be a secret to her.
So, with the awkward tension in the air. He decided to change the subject, "You said Nicolas Flamel right?" he asked to the still shock girl who wasn't responding, but he still continued. "Well, interesting thing is that guy is mentioned here in this card..."
At what he said, the girl's eyes blinked and with hesitation she asked him if she could have said card and Percy gave it to her with no second thoughts.
Then, he remembered something. "Hey, Hermione..." Percy called out to her who replied with a yes, "You know, Annabeth–" at the mention of the blonde's name she couldn't help but feel lonely, "Has a large book with her that mentions about the guy that you are looking for. She even read that large book for about twice a week." he chuckled and then added, "So, if I were you... I would ask her if I could borrow the book that she is reading."
The whole atmosphere became quiet again, but the brunette in front of him smiled. "Thank you, Percy." is what she said and said raven haired boy let out a sigh of relief.
Well, glad that was over.
...Timeskip...
Days had passed in Hogwarts, but Percy couldn't find her blonde acquaintance. It's not like he misses her or anything, he just sensed that something is off with the blonde. Even Hermione also sees this, but she was to busy with the secrety stuff that she had been doing with Weasley and Potter.
Though, Percy wonders on how the brunette got the book that she wants to borrow from Chase, if said girl is ignoring him. Maybe, she just quickly gave it to Hermione before walking away...
One time, he passed by her in one of the school's halls. He decided to greet her with a wave, but she seems to be in a trance as her empty blank eyes just stare straight ahead.
To be honest, her doing that kinda hurt him since it felt like the times in his old schools were he would be ignored by most of the school's body.
Sighing, he just proceeds on his day.
...Timeskip...
Percy was once again lingering in the halls. He was hiding from the Weasley twins, trying to avoid them at all cost. He wasn't in the mood to participate in this pranking war of them. Besides, shouldn't those two be busy since they have a game with Hufflepuff?
He remembers that he didn't attend the last quidditch match since he was busy studying with Annabeth in the Room of Requirements. Although, he spent most of his time sleeping while Annabeth smacks his head with a book to wake him up. He smiled at that memory, but felt down once again when he was reminded that he and the blonde aren't on speaking terms right now.
Sighing out loud, he eyed the floor for a second before walking away. However, when he took a turn– BAM!
"What the–" he begins to say, but quickly slides to the side when a sword came down on him. Then, his eyes moved up to see a tall knight in front of him and it was about to lift their sword up again when Percy tried to kick it.
The helmet fell of and he saw that there was no one in the suit if armor. That's when he heard laughter and he saw the two Weasley twins at the end of the hall. They grinned at him and waved goodbye, "Good luck handling that, first year." said George as he and Fred left the scene.
"Fuck you!" shouted Percy again, as he dodge another attack. "Shit, I don't have my wand in me." he cursed, seeing that his wand wasn't with him.
'I must have left it in my bed.' were his thoughts, as he jumped back at the sword stabbing towards his chest.
He became frustrated and frantic, then his eyes searched the halls for an escape route. Seeing one, he decided to run for it. Though, the enchanted suit of armor had followed him.
While running in the hall, he had bumped into someone and a loud yell was followed–"Hey watch where you're going!"
Hearing the familiar voice, Percy looked up to see the very person who was avoiding him. Said person also has a shock look on their face before masking it back with her famous poker face.
Both of them stared at each other for a second before it was broken by the sound of clanking footsteps that were running towards them. With no time to waste, Percy quickly grabbed the blonde girl's hand and made a run for it.
Annabeth who was now running with her made a confused face before realizing what was happening when she looked back to see the piece of metal chasing after him.
"What did you do this time, seaweed brain." she asked, her tone saying another thing like: 'In trouble again?'
Percy was about to answer when he stopped and saw that there was no where to go except for– At the same time, Annabeth eyes widened at the place that he was looking at.
"Oh no, don't you dare! Seaweed brain, if somebody saw me in there with you–" before she can say anything more, the young boy with raven hair had quickly dragged her with him to the boy's bathroom. Although, when he tried to close the door. The enchanted knight quickly barged in, with its unexpected appearance. Both the two kids were startled; moreover, felt him self going on autopilot when he felt a familiar feeling in his gut. Turning to Annabeth, he quickly held and covered her.
Before the girl could protest, they heard something bursting and out came a spray of water in every stall. The water pressure was strong that it knocked out the moving suit of armor. Luckily, the water didn't pushed him away, but...
He nervously looked down and was met with Annabeth's shock expression. She was a little bit wet and this time, she was the one to shock him when she said this.
"You're not wet?" she managed to say trough her shock and she was right, because his clothes and himself weren't damped with water.
He shrugged it off, thinking that it was a wizard thing. "Maybe, it's a wizard thing." he said, but she countered that statement of his.
"Percy, you must be an advance wizard to do a non-verbal or wandless magic. Also, I don't think this is accidental magic at all..."
After that bathroom incident, both him ad Annabeth quickly escaped the scene when people starts to come down the hallway to check what the hell had happened. Both him and the girl walked away side by side, silence had enveloped the air around them and awkwardness ensured.
After minutes of walking in silence, they decided to part ways. Although, before hr could stagger his feet away from her. She suddenly called out his name, "Percy..."
He stared at her and the girl wore a serious look on her face. She opened her mouth, but paused for a second. Then, she shook her head as she muttered something understand his breath.
"It couldn't be... Impossible... Maybe, I'm mistaken." were the words that the boy could make out. He stared at her with curiosity in his eyes and he was to open his mouth when she suddenly bid him goodbye.
"Ah see you later, Percy." is what she said before walking away, leaving him confused and empty.
He watched her walk away and he had a feeling that they'll be back on being strangers again. Letting out a sigh, he smoothed back his hair and turned around. Then, he begins to walk away. His back facing hers as they grew farther from each other.
...Timeskip...
Percy was on the bleachers with his roommates who decided to watch the game. Seeing he had nothing fun to do, he decided to watch a Quidditch game for the very first time. It was Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor and to be honest he was excited to watch this wizard sport since it looks fun.
Although, his day had to be ruined when Malfoy decided to poke trouble again with Weasley, Longbottom, Neville and Hermione. He watch them exchange words and he's kinda impressed when the blonde and chubby boy had talked back to Draco.
However, it looks like things had escalated quickly when Weasley had lost his temper and had result on fighting with his fists against Draco and his goons. Then, Longbottom had also helped out too.
Percy watch them squabble and he begins to debate with himself, if he should stop then but when he had heard the Gryffindor team scored a goal. Well...
He quickly turned his head back to the game while thinking, 'Not my problem.'
