Yancy continued her drive, all the while listening to her new friends chat. Joon and Akyuu were talking economics, Chen was gawking at the surroundings while commenting on Joon and Akyuu's conversations and Eirin was reading a book. As the car turns a corner, a drone spots the car and began following them.

.

Yancy: Hey Eirin?

.

Eirin: Yes?

.

Yancy: What do you guys think of St. Augustine overall?

.

Eirin: It has a lot of charms. The mix between old and new is astounding and beautiful.

.

Akyuu: Certainly a nice change of scenery from what we're used to, not that Gensokyo's sightseeing areas aren't beautiful.

.

Chen: Yeah, I quite like it here... Aside from the people of course.

.

Joon: it's very nice here. Perhaps being transported here ain't all too bad.

.

Yancy: I wonder who would've transported you lot outside of your homeland, cuz from what I can tell, you're a bunch of misfits that vaguely knew each other until now.

.

Chen: But why'd the person... or people, that transported us just pick us randomly?

.

Eirin: That's…a really good question, Chen. I can't even decide whether they intentionally picked us or it was random.

.

Joon: The intentional part is spooky. If these people intentionally warped us here, then they must've been watching us for a while. Get what I mean girls?

.

Yancy: That's a total invasion of privacy.

.

As the Nekomata took the one eyed girl's and Pestilence God's words into account, her mind started to wander. Soon she started blushing profusely as her face turned beet red at her own thoughts.

.

Chen: Eww! I just thought of some stuff those weirdos would see us do and get off to it!

.

Akyuu: I didn't know you could think of such things that far... I'm shocked at the revelation!

.

Eirin: Same here.

.

Joon: Well, the young ones pick things up easily, so I've heard.

.

The one eyed chauffeur glanced back at her passengers and the road.

.

Yancy: Let's just take our minds off that.. don't want y'all having some kinda existential crisis while I'm driving.

.

Chen was still fearing her own thoughts until Akyuu snapped the Nekomata out of her self induced trance with a nudge.

.

Akyuu: I think that's for the best.

.

Joon: Agreed…

.

Eirin: So Yancy. How close are we to your residence?

.

Yancy: We're practically there now, see for yourself.

.

The one eyed chauffeur stopped the car and got out of it as her passengers did the same. In front of them was a one story building that's partially overtaken by vines and moss and it kinda stood out in comparison to the other similar looking houses near it.

.

Yancy: Here we are, home sweet home!

.

Joon: Huh. It's quite green. I wonder what it looks like inside.

.

Yancy: Well you're free to look as you please. She unlocked the front door of her home and invited in her otherworldly visitors. Inside Yancy's home was a large room with red walls, a bed and a nightstand near a couple doors off to the left side. A fireplace in the middle with a chandelier hanging above and a kitchen to the right side.

.

There were decorations of multiple flags representing different countries strewn across the walls. A worn out yet well kept shotgun hung above the fireplace. In the kitchen was a table along with multiple chairs nearby a stove with a microwave on a counter to the left of it and some cabinets set above said stove.

.

Eirin: Ah, you got a nice house Yancy.

.

Akyuu: It does look cozy to live in here.

.

Chen: I like what you've done with the place.

.

Joon: I'm impressed. Not the ideal place, buuut I do like the look of this house.

.

As the others kept looking around the house, Yancy looked at the time on her phone before putting it away.

.

Yancy: It's getting late and I'm tired after all that driving, so I'm going to sleep...

.

The one eyed girl walked over to the left side of the room and flopped onto her bed.

.

Yancy: Y'all can do whatever as long as you don't make too much noise and you can go sleep in the guest bedroom when you feel tired.

.

She pointed to a door nearby her bed, before immediately falling asleep.

.

Joon: Hmmm, alright.

.

The Pestilence God waltz towards the guest room as the remaining three got comfortable.

.

Eirin: Well, we might as well get comfortable here.

.

Akyuu: Yep, this will probably be where we'll be staying for awhile.

.

Chen: I wonder what Ran-shama and Yukari are doing right now.

.

Eirin: Oh I'm sure they're worried. Same can be said for me and Akyuu. Even Joon. Although our family and friends are scared, at the very least that we're all fine. We'll make sure to get back home sooner or later.

.

As the girls talked amongst themselves, they didn't notice the drone outside, watching them through a nearby window.

.

Despite it being a bit later in the morning, the girls were still sleeping. That is, until they heard Yancy screaming at the top of her lungs.

.

Eirin and Chen snapped up and jumped out of bed as the other two slowly got up. The girls rushed to where Yancy was at. They noticed Yancy looking at one of the windows in the house, this particular window had a hole cut through it with some broken glass on the floor.

.

Yancy: I think someone broke into the house last night!

.

Joon: What?! Well, they picked the wrong house to rob someone.

.

Chen: Why would someone break into your house?

.

Yancy: I dunno, but I gotta see if they didn't take anything important!

.

The one eyed girl rushed past the girls and scrambled through some drawers.

.

Eirin: We too must look around.

.

Joon: Will do!

.

Akyuu stumbles out of the guestroom looking to see what's going on since she was apparently the last to wake up.

.

Akyuu: What's going on?

.

The Chronicler rubbed her tired eyes as she looked around.

.

Joon: An intruder broke in! We're looking if they stole anything.

.

Akyuu took notice of the broken window and looked at Yancy who's now scouring through a closet.

.

Akyuu: Do you know anything important that the intruder might've taken?

.

Yancy: So far it looks like nothing was taken... Let alone anything important.

.

Akyuu: That's strange... Why would an intruder break in and not take anything?

.

Eirin: We'll there has to be reason. If they didn't take anything, then they must've done it for a different reason.

.

Chen: I wonder what they were after then?

.

As the Nekomata was pondering, a loud grumble came from her stomach.

.

Yancy: For now we'll worry about that later, I'll make y'all breakfast.

.

Joon: Ah, I would love some breakfast right now.

.

Akyuu: Now that you mention it...

.

Yancy: Oui alright, I'm going.

.

Yancy walked into the kitchen as she put on a pink apron that was nearby before grabbing pans, opening a few cabinets, fired up the stove and got to cooking.

.

Joon: Hmm, I wonder what she'll cook.

.

Chen: It obviously won't be anything Japanese, which is fine since I want to eat something new anyway.

.

Akyuu: Hehe, you sure have a different mindset than that Ordinary Magician. She won't eat anything other than Japanese food from what I hear.

.

Eirin: Everyone has their taste. It's what makes everyone different.

.

Akyuu: Too true.

.

Yancy: Aaand done!

.

The girls gathered around the table, seating themselves as the one eyed chef set the food on the table.

.

Chen: Oh wow, that looks good! What is it?

.

Yancy: This is what my people call Boeuf Bourguignon, it's made from beef, carrots, strained onions and bacon, mushrooms, regular onions, some sauce and chopped parsley.

.

Akyuu: Oh my, I'll remember to make this whenever I feel really hungry.

.

Joon: Mmm, this middle class meal smells so good.

.

The Pestilence God took a bite and immediately placed her left hand on her cheek in satisfaction.

.

Joon: And taste good too!

.

Eirin took a bite and smiled warmly.

.

Eirin: This is good. I bet the mistress would love this.

.

Akyuu: You're telling me.

.

Chen scarfed down more and more food from her plate whereas Akyuu took her time enjoying it.

.

Chen: *Burps* I want more please!

.

Yancy: Haha! If you like my cooking that much, then I'll be happy to make more.

.

Joon: Ah~ I could go for another plate.

.

Akyuu: As would I.

.

Yancy: Comin' right up!

;

Unbeknownst to everybody, there's an intruding drone that's currently observing them from afar. The lenses on the drone dilated as it looked over the girls and focused on Yancy.

.

?: What's your fascination with this particular woman?

.

?: She and her friends interfered with that bank job I forced Stephan to do, I can't let that slide. Plus... I know I've seen this woman before, she once tried to kill me a long time ago.

.

?: How do you know it's her?

.

?: Well, I did take her eye out and this woman is wearing an eye patch. And I can only think of one person with that laid-back attitude.

.

?: So you want her and those girls dead then?

.

?: Yes, but not yet. For now we've got bigger things to worry about, their time will come.

.

The drone turns around and flies away from the scene.

.

The girls are wondering around the neighborhood after their wonderful breakfast. They chatted about the neighborhood until a familiar someone walked by. Niko was having his casual walk around the neighborhood but stopped when he saw both Eirin and Joon.

.

Niko: Oh, hello there! Remember me?

.

Eirin: Oh! You're that cashier from before.

.

Niko: Yeah that's me. The cashier guy. It's Niko by the way.

.

Yancy stopped to glance at Niko.

.

Yancy: Wait a second, I've seen you at the grocery store before. You're my neighbor?!

.

Niko: I am? Huh, you know what. I have seen you here and there. I figured you were around the neighborhood but never knew you were that close.

.

Yancy: Yeah, it's weird how we've never talked before despite living next to each other. I guess that just proves how distant people really are in this day and age.

.

Niko: Yeah true. Too many people chat online but never go out to meet. Although the internet does allow people to do things like make stories for example, which is nice.

.

Yancy: Don't forget about the ones who don't make the effort to meet new people at all. But enough about that, do you happen to play an electric guitar?

.

Niko: Huh? Oh yeah. Sometimes here and there I play.

.

Yancy: So you're the one occasionally blasting loud music at night? You know how much that messes up my sleep schedule, cuz I always get woken up by your guitar playing.

.

Niko started to rub the back of his neck.

.

Niko: Oh..I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to mess up your sleep.

.

Yancy: Does that mean you'll tone down the guitar shredding from now on?

.

Niko: Oh of course! It would be rude of me to acknowledge the problem but do nothing about it.

.

Yancy: Thank you for understanding.. Oh! Where are my manners? My name's Yancy and I believe I heard your name was Niko?

.

The one eyed girl held out her hand as she waited for an answer.

.

Niko: Yes. That's me. Nice to meet you!

.

The man reached out and shook Yancy's hand. On the sidelines, the others had been watching Yancy and Niko talking the entire time.

.

Akyuu: Huh, if only it were this easy to resolve incidents back in Gensokyo.

.

Joon: Yeah. It's not as fun but it is easier.

.

Eirin: Well this shows how diplomacy can be useful alternative.

.

Chen: I wonder what Gensokyo would be like if people talked things out instead of beating each other up to solve things?

.

Akyuu: I wonder about that too sometimes, but considering the kind of people that live in Gensokyo, I'd say "beating each other up" is the only way to solve incidents over there.

.

Eirin: Indeed.

.

.
