At Collège Françoise Dupont, Miss Bustier was teaching her literature class.

"In most fairy tales, the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess. Can anyone tell us why?" Miss Bustier asked.

"Because only love can conquer hate!" said Rose swooning slightly.

"Correct, Rose," Miss Bustier nodded.

Max then rose to his feet. "Technically speaking, this reasoning is only exhibited in about 87% of all fairy tales and—"

"Thank you, Max. That's enough," said Miss Bustier.

Marinette saw that Adrian was writing something down and trying to see what he was writing over his shoulders.

Miss Bustier had also noticed this and began to approach him. "Adrien, I hope what you're writing has to do with my lesson. Can you tell me what I just said?"

"That's why in most fairy tales, the prince breaks the spell by kissing the princess because only love conquers hate," said Adrian.

"Very good, Adrien!" said Miss Bustier as the bell rang. "Now, everyone, don't forget to finish Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault tonight, and happy Valentine's day, students!"

"Hey, go ahead; I'll meet you outside," said Marinette looking at Alya.

Alya nodded.

Marinette continued to look over Adrien's shoulder to see what he was writing, but it looked as if he was suffering from writer's block. Annoyed with himself agent crumpled the letter up and tossed it into the garbage can.

"Suffering from writer's block," said Jack as the two of them the classroom.

"You could say that."

Marinette smiled and began making her way over to the garbage can.

Outside Adrian and Jack bumped into Chloé and Sabrina, who was obviously carrying one of his posters.

"Hi Adrien, sign here, please," said Chloé gesturing to the poster.

Adrien sighed. "Oh, come on, you know I hate signing autographs, Chloé."

"Oh, that's not what this is," Chloé assured him. "This is a petition against cruelty to hamsters. Have you seen some of the ugly sweaters they are forced to wear? It's appalling."

Adrian knew she was lying but decided to humour her and signed the poster.

"You know the more times you humour her, the more likely she's gonna show up with another post," Jack pointed out.

"I just don't want to lose her friendship," said Adrian as they walked away.

"I think you can survive without that friendship."

Chloé began to hug the poster, and Sabrina smiled, but then the two of them noticed Marinette digging through a trash can, pulling out a sheet of paper.

"Well, well, Marinette, looking for something to eat?" said Chloé mockingly as Marinette quickly hit the sheet of paper behind her.

"Maybe she's looking for some better clothes!" said Sabrina.

The two girls laughed and ran off, much to Marinette's annoyance.

"Don't give them the time of day; they don't deserve it," said Tikki popping her head out of her purse.

"You're right, Tikki," Marinette nodded and then looked back at the letter. "'Your hair is dark as night, your pretty bluebell eyes, I wonder who you are beneath that strong disguise. Every day we see each other, and I hope that you'll be mine, together our love could be so true, please, will you be my Valentine?'"

"Whoa, now that's a love poem," said Tikki.

"Who could he be talking about? Hair as dark as night, bluebell eyes?" Marinette pondered.

"Uh… you?"

Marinette laughed nervously. "Me? No way. There are plenty of girls at school with dark hair and blue eyes."

"Yeah, but bluebell eyes…"

"What do you think he means by 'strong disguise'?" Marinette frowned.

Tikki sighed. "This is poetry. He means who you are deep down inside. He wants to get to know you, Marinette! He's talking about you!"

Marinette then began to jump up and down excitedly. "Pinch me!" Tikki took her request literally and pinched Marinette, causing her to shriek. "Not literally!"

Marinette narrowed her eyes at Tikki, who was giggling while rubbing her arm.

Outside of Collège Françoise Dupont, Marinette showed the letter to Alya swooning slightly.

On the sidewalk, Max had pulled Kim to one side.

"Operation Valentine's Day is commencing," said Max. "According to my extensive research and cross-referencing of online shopping sites, this particular jewel…" He then pulled out the heart-shaped box behind his back, "…was ranked highest in popularity."

He then handed the box over to Kim; he opened it and saw a beautiful brooch inside.

"That's perfect, Max!" Kim smiled. "I better hit a home run with this one. Love is like baseball, right? You gotta have a strategy, or you'll strike out." Alya spotted the two of them overhearing their conversation and then dragged Marinette over to them. "But if you aim right, you'll hit it out of the ballpark. Score!"

"Oh yes, Kim, lovely metaphor," said Max.

Kim frowned. "Meta-who?"

"He needed a good comparison," said Jack approaching them.

Alya then suddenly grabbed Kim's hand and looked at the brooch. "Ooh! Sparkly! Is that for moi?"

"Negative Alya," said Max. "The recipient of this gem has already been determined; it's—"

Kim then suddenly grabbed Max, placing his hand over his mouth. "Shh! Keep it on the down-low!"

"Scoop! Kim's got a major crush!" said Alya and began taking pictures with her phone. "Who's the lucky lady?"

"Whoever said that it was a lady," Jack joked.

"Very funny," said Kim.

"It's gorgeous, Kim," said Marinette. "She's gonna be ecstatic!"

Kim rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. "Technically, she's still gotta accept it. What if she says 'no'!?"

"She won't, Kim, no way!" said Marinette with her fists pumped. "Don't hold back, Kim. Go for it, no regrets!"

"And if she rejects it, she doesn't deserve you," said Jack.

"Operation Valentine's Day is underway!" said Kim giving Max a high-five.

Max then handed Kim a map while he jobbed on the spot. "Her route is highlighted here in yellow, yours in red. "If you run at ten miles per hour, you're going to gain a four and a half minute advance on her. Halt and wait here facing northwest— the third most romantic spot in Paris. Go go go!"

Both Marinette and Alya gave him the thumbs up for encouragement, and Jack merely nodded.

"Thanks, you guys," said Kim and then dashed off.

Alya then elbowed Marinette. "I know someone who's good at dishing out advice who can't take some herself."

Alya then pointed towards Adrian, who had just entered his car.

"Let's go," said Adrian.

They then watched as Adrian's bodyguard shut the door and drove away.

"You're right," Marinette agreed. "It's time, I told him."

"Say what?!" Alya stared.

"Who are you, and what have you done with the real Marinette?" Jack asked.

"I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna tell Adrien my true feelings," said Marinette. "Well… I'm gonna write them on a card, that is."

"Yeah!" said Alya getting over the initial shock.

"Yeah!" Marinette nodded, and they both bumped fists.

"Operation Valentine's Day!" they said in unison, performing a secret handshake and runoff.

"This ought to be amusing," said Jack following them.

Meanwhile, a various number of girls were ogling over a poster of Adrien.

"He's so cute!" they said.

"Keep dreaming all you want, girls, but the boy is mine," said Chloé snapping her fingers.

Sabrina nodded and unrolled the poster, and when the girls saw Adrian's autograph, they gasped.

"To Chloé, the most awesome girl in the world and the love of my life. Signed, Adrien," one of the girls read out loud.

Immediately, all of them began to cry.

"Uh, she's not crying enough," Chloé noticed that one of the girls wasn't crying.

Sabrina responded by bringing the poster toward that one girl, and she began to cry, even more, much to the amusement of Chloé and Sabrina.

Marinette was back in her bedroom trying to write out a love letter to Adrien but hadn't gotten very far.

"Dear Adrien, dear Adrien… Dear Adrien…" she sighed, crossing out the first line. I'm no good at this love letter writing thing… I sound like a total dorkasaurus!"

"Only when you say words like 'dorkasaurus'!" said Tikki and Marinette, even more depressed. "Relax, Marinette, I'm teasing. Think of Adrien and speak from the heart."

Marinette turned her eyes to Adrian's letter and got an idea. "Adrien's letter! That's it! Why didn't I think of that before? I'll answer his poem!"

"Marinette!" said Alya's voice.

Tikki quickly hid just as Alya and Jack entered her bedroom.

"Check it out!" said Alya holding out a pink heart-shaped Valentine's card.

"It's perfect!" Marinette beamed. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Marinette took the card and, after a few moments, began writing her love letter while Alya looked over her shoulder.

"Voila!" said Marinette holding out her finished card.

"Don't forget to sign it!" Alya reminded her.

The two of them stopped when a ladybug flew into the room, distracting the two girls.

"This is a good omen!" Alya beamed. "Ladybugs are good luck, especially in the love department!"

"Really?" said Marinette.

"It's true ladybirds always been known for bringing good luck," said Jack.

"Ladybirds?" Marinette frowned.

"It's what we Brits call ladybugs, don't ask me why we just do."

"But you call Ladybug Ladybug?" Marinette pointed out.

"Because that's her name, and it's fitting considering that she brings good luck."

"He's not wrong, and you of all people should know about ladybugs," said Alya.

Marinette looked at her nervously. "R-really? Wh-why do you say that?"

"Since ancient times, the ladybug has been a symbol of love, guiding hearts on the path to devotion," said Alya showing her a blog page on her phone. "It was on my blog this week. You read it, didn't you?"

"Oh yeah, yeah, of course," said Marinette turning back to her computer and sighed with relief.

Back at the Agreste mansion, Adrian was in his room trying to think of a way to express his feelings to Ladybug.

"So she's got eyes, arms, legs, big deal!" said Plagg. "How can you possibly be in love with Ladybug? You don't even know who she really is!"

"You don't know anything about love…" Adrian sighed with a pen in his mouth.

"Oh, sure I do; I love Cheddar, I love Swiss, and I love Camembert."

Adrian shook his head and stood up, causing his chair to spin, as he headed for the window resting his arm and head against it.

"Aww, the poor boy's frustrated because he can't finish the poem for his masked sweetheart?" said Plagg mockingly.

"I don't need a poem when I can tell her to her face… I love you."

"Bleh, gross. You're making me lose my appetite," said Plagg and then ate his Camembert. "Almost."

At the Pont des Arts, Kim was waiting on the side of a fence until he recognised Chloé's voice and rushed forward.

"And that's right, in a 24 karat gold frame," said Chloé on her phone. "Deliver it to Le Grand Paris Hotel and bill it to Daddykins, uh, I mean, Mr Bourgeois." She stopped when she finally noticed Kim. "What are you doing here?"

"I-I…" said Kim nervously.

"You-You…" said Chloé mockingly.

Kim cleared his throat and went down on one knee. Sadly he knelt into a puddle, but it pushed on regardless.

"Will you be my Valentine?" he said and presented his brooch to Chloé.

Then suddenly, a passing bike ran over the Apollo, causing water to splash in Kim's face. Then the wind blow a crisp bag into his face.

Chloé gasped. "Don't move!"

Chloé then began taking a humiliating photo of Kim and sent the images to everyone on her list.

"ait till everyone gets a load of this! Hahahaha!" she laughed. "No offence, Kim, but my heart's saved for someone more awesome than you." She then began to walk off before turning back. "Don't you just hate how harsh love can be?"

Kim dropped the brooch and pulled the crisp bag off his face, and began to sob.

From his lair, Hawk Moth could sense Kim's negative emotions and opened his window.

"Ah, Valentine's Day, the day of love and the day of fools," he said smiling. "So many delusions, so much disappointment. My evil akumas, you are going to have such a field day." A butterfly then flew into his hands, and he began to corrupt it. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!"

He then released the akuma, and it soon found its way to a sobbing Kim and infected his brooch for Chloé.

"Dark Cupid, I am Hawk Moth," said Hawk Moth. "I can give you the power to shoot your arrows, pierce love and impale friendship. But there is something you must do for me in return."

"No love affair or friendship will escape my fury," Kim vowed. "No one will ever love again!"

Kim then began to transform into Dark Cupid. He was now wearing a black and red cupid-themed jumpsuit, along with large black wings attached to his back, each feather-like end tipped with two red stripes. He wielded a bow and quiver, and strapped onto his quiver was the brooch, though it was now red and black.

He then quickly took to the sky, and the first thing he noticed was a pair of lovers at the riverbank. Without waiting for a second, he quickly fired an arrow at the young woman giving him Valentine a cake. Her lips immediately turned black, and then she tossed the cake into the river and ran off.

Dark Cupid didn't stop there and fired another man holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Ugh, stupid flowers!" he yelled, smashing the bouquet into the wall next to him.

Dark Cupid then fired on another man holding hands with a woman. The moment he was hit immediately pushed away from her.

"Get off me!" he said.

Dark Cupid continued firing upon anyone who showed even a hint of love and laughter as the city of love slowly became the city of hate.

"Perfect. It won't be long before Ladybug and Cat Noir show up to meet their doom!" Hawk Moth laughed evilly.

At Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, Jack and the girls rushed into the bakery so they could post Marinette Valentine's card. They ran past Tom, who was holding a tray of candy apples which are shaped like hearts.

"Candy apples?" he asked, holding the tray out to them.

"Thanks, Papa," said Marinette taking the candy apples and kissing him on the cheek.

The three of them then left the bakery.

They then crossed the street to the Place des Vosges and headed straight for the mailbox.

"Come on, Marinette! Do it before you chicken out!" said Alya.

"It's now or never," said Jack.

Marinette handed Alya her candy apple and approached the mailbox. She was a little scared at first, but with every bit of courage she could muster, she posted her love letter in the mailbox.

"Yeah!" Alya cheered.

"Way to go, girl," Jack smiled.

"I did it!" said Marinette in disbelief.

The two girls hugged one another, but they suddenly heard their phones ring. They pulled them out and saw they had gotten a text from Chloé.

"Chloé? Since when did she start texting us?" Alya frowned.

The two girls opened the chat and saw that Chloé had posted the embarrassing picture of Kim. Upon seeing them, both of them gasped.

"What is it?" Jack asked. "Don't leave the blind man in suspense."

"It's Kim," Marinette explained. "And Chloé just posted an embarrassing picture."

"Then I'm glad I'm not able to see it," said Jack.

"What a witch!" Alya snarled.

"And I was the one who told Kim to do it!" Marinette moaned. "I didn't know he was talking about her!"

"Dang, I hope Adrien doesn't do the same thing to you," said Alya, and Jack began shaking his head frantically, but it was too late. "I mean…"

Marinette then started to panic and rushed towards the mailbox, frantically trying to pull it out.

"What have I done!?" she yelled frantically.

"Girl, calm down! I was totally joking!" said Alya gently. "Kind of… Adrien would never do that."

"Yeah, he's perfectly the polar opposite of Chloé; you have nothing to worry about," said Jack.

Alya then spotted Dark Cupid in the sky. "What in the world is that?!"

Dark Cupid was directly over them and saw Alya holding the candy apples.

"All hearts must be destroyed!" he said and quickly shot an arrow at Alya.

"Alya?" Marinette asked, looking concerned as Alya's lips turned black.

Then suddenly, for no reason, Alya stuck in the candy apples on Marinette's shirt.

"Hey, seriously?!" said Marinette trying to remove the apples.

"What's happening?" Jack asked.

"You're not my BFF; you're a joke!" said Alya. "Adrien's gonna laugh his head off at your lame attempt at poetry!"

She then ran off cackling.

"Alya!" Marinette stared. "What did he do to her?" She looked up at Dark Cupid and recognised the brooch on the strap attached to his quiver. "I've seen that jewel somewhere before. It's Kim's pin! He's been akumatized!" She then noticed that Jack had disappeared. "And Jack's gone." She then saw Dark Cupid flying away and immediately pulled the candy apples off her shirt. "This is… not… good! We gotta find him, fast!"

She quickly ran into the park and hit behind a bench.

"Tikki! Spots On! Ha!" Marinette yelled.

She then began to transform into Ladybug.

A few moments later, Ladybug was now jumping from roof to roof to catch up with Dark Cupid.

"Seems like someone is not a big fan of Valentine's Day," said a voice.

Ladybug turned her head and saw Sprite had just arrived. "Sprite, I'm so glad to see you. Kim's been akumatized, and now he's spreading hate across the city."

"Any idea what set him off?"

"Chloé, he apparently has a crush on her, and she not only turned him down but sent a humiliating everyone."

"And no doubt he's headed straight for her."

"Then we better hurry."

Outside Le Grand Paris, Chloé was complaining to the deliverers of Adrien's portrait.

"Ugh! I never said 18-karat gold!" she said. "Those gold tones will never match my 24-karat toilet! Idiots!"

Dark Cupid had taken a purging was now raining an arrow directly at Chloé. He was just about to fire, but Ladybug then struck him with her yo-yo causing him to misfire.

"Ladybug!" he snarled.

"Stop, Kim!" Ladybug pleaded.

"I'm not Kim; I'm Dark Cupid! I'll never stop! If I can't have love, then no one can!" he vowed.

The daily driver had taken off, leaving behind Chloé's portrait of Adrien. She tried to grab it, but Sabrina, realising the danger she was in, grabbed her and carried her inside the hotel.

"Okay, Dark Cupid, I get it," said Ladybug. "Chloé totally burned you. But that doesn't mean you have to take it out on all of Paris!"

"She's right, Chloé had no right to embarrass you in such a manner, but that doesn't excuse you for taking your anger out on everyone," Sprite agreed.

"Oh yes, I do!" Dark Cupid yelled. "I won't stop until everyone's heart is crushed. Say adios to your loved ones. From now on, you'll hate them!"

Dark Cupid attempted to shoot an arrow at Ladybug, but she destroyed it just as it left the bow with her yo-yo. Despite this, he continued to fire upon both Ladybug and Sprite, the two of them dodging his arrows. Sprite used his cane to knock back the arrows with his cane, and ladybug swung her yo-yo at Dark Cupid, but he was able to dodge it.

Ladybug then slid down the roof, and Dark Cupid fired another arrow at her, but she spun her yo-yo around and used a shield. Sprite then attempted to get in close, but he quickly took to the air began shooting arrows at the two of them.

Ladybug then slid down the roof but tripped over the gutter and began to fall. However, she quickly swung her yo-yo ended latched onto the gutter stopping her descent. Dark Cupid flew upwards, but he had lost sight of Ladybug and Sprite.

"If you want to continue destroying love, bring me Ladybug's Miraculous and destroy Lord Sprite, or I'll remove your powers!" Hawk Moth threatened.

Dark Cupid began flying over the rooftops, trying to spot either of them; Sprite managed to get between two buildings and watched as he passed by. Ladybug was hanging onto the side of the building, remaining absolutely quiet as he flew over.

"Falling for me already, my lady?" said Cat Noir, who was standing on his staff, which he had embedded between the cracks of a windowsill. He just stood there spinning his belt around, smiling at his lady. "I need to talk to you."

"It's going to have to wait," she said as she lowered herself towards Cat Noir. "Dark Cupi—"

Cat Noir then suddenly pulled her towards him and hushed her. "I swore to myself that I'd tell you as soon as I saw you. Ladybug, I-I… Look out!"

Dark Cupid was headed straight towards them, firing one of his arrows, he quickly spun around to shield Ladybug, and the arrow struck him on the back.

"Cat Noir!" Ladybug gasped.

Cat Noir licks then started to turn black. "Ladybug, I—I… loathe you!"

"Cat Noir, snap out of it!"

Cat Noir then began to squeeze Ladybug incredibly close to him. "You're nothing, Ladybug, and nothing to me! I hate you!"

Then suddenly, he felt a massive pain in the head as Sprite had just appeared, striking him with his cane. "That's no way to treat a lady."

Using this opportunity, Ladybug freed herself and then used Cat Noir's staff as a springboard to launch herself into the air, and Sprite jumped away himself. The sudden weight shift caused him to lose his balance, and he quickly grabbed hold of his staff.

Both Ladybug and Sprite managed to vault over the buildings and used their yo-yo and cane to grapple onto a lamppost. They then swung around and rolled directly into Le Grand Paris, where both Chloé and Sabrina were hiding.

"Ladybug, it's about time; where have you been?" Chloé demanded.

"Fending off the guy you dumped," said Sprite.

Cat Noir finally managed to regain his balance; he retracted his staff and began climbing up the wall. Once he got onto the roof, he came face-to-face with Dark Cupid.

"Offer to help him in return for Ladybug's Miraculous," said Hawk Moth.

"I can help you crush Ladybug, but you must give me her Miraculous in return," Dark Cupid offered, holding out his hand.

"No… problem," he cackled and held out his hand.

Dark Cupid then lifted him onto the roof.

"Yes. Yes!" Hawk Moth smiled. "And once I have Ladybug's Miraculous, taking Cat Noir's will be child's play! Then Lord Sprite will be absolutely powerless to stop me."

Back at Le Grand Paris, Ladybug was trying to convince Chloé to leave.

"You gotta get out of here," she said. "Your friend Kim's turned into Dark Cupid, and I don't know what he'll do if he finds you here."

"Moi? But how could he possibly have a vendetta against me?" said Chloé dismissively.

"Who doesn't?" Ladybug muttered.

Chloé then placed her arm around Ladybug's shoulder. "Duh! It's because of this." She then pointed to her portrait of Adrian. "Everyone would love to get their hands on it. That's Adrien, a super hot guy in my class. And rich, too! He's hot for me, of course."

"Not according to the poem," Ladybug muttered under her breath.

"Or perhaps it's the fact that you embarrassed him after he attempted to woo you," Sprite suggested.

"Is it my fault that he allowed himself to be in such a position?"

"It's alive!" Sabrina yelled suddenly.

They turned, and to their utter astonishment, they saw the portrait begin walking into the hotel, and then emerging behind it was Dark Cupid. Chloé immediately you Sabrina as a shield as Ladybug and Sprite moved in to protect them.

Dark Cupid immediately fired an arrow, but Sprite then quickly deflected it with his cane. Ladybug then dashed towards the side and somersaulted on his Dark Cupid's back, causing him to misfire. Then the moment she hit the ground, she whacked her yo-yo around Chloé's and then dragged her onto the street.

"Daddy!" Chloé screamed.

"Run, Chloé, run!" Ladybug yelled, releasing her.

Chloé then immediately began to run, and Sabrina followed close behind, but then Cat Noir jumped in front of Ladybug, blocking her path. Dark Cupid then flew over them as he continued to chase after Chloé, followed quickly by Sprite.

"I'll go after him!" he yelled back.

"Well, well, Ladybug," he said.

"I don't want to fight you, Cat Noir," said Ladybug.

"Ugh, that friendliness," said Cat Noir looking as if he was about to throw up. "It's so revolting. You are definitely not my friend!"

He then slammed his staff into the ground and extended it to get directly above her. He then slammed his staff down towards her, but Ladybug used her yo-yo to jump onto a nearby lamppost. She then swung her yo-yo again to get on the roof of a nearby building, and Cat Noir began to pursue.

They continued running over rooftops until she jumped down, and once she was out of his line of sight, she quickly swung her yo-yo, grabbing his staff. She then began pulling him towards her trying her best to talk some sense into him.

"Why are you so full of hate, Cat Noir?!" Ladybug demanded.

"Because hate conquers all!" said Cat Noir simply.

"I hate to burst your bubble, but hate doesn't conquer all. Love does!" said Ladybug.

She then remembered what Miss Bustier and Rose had said earlier in class about love.

"You're just buying time!" said Cat Noir and broke his staff into releasing Ladybug's yo-yo. "Fight!"

Ladybug smiled. "I'll do better than that."

"Huh?" Cat Noir frowned as she walked towards him and nervously began to fall back.

"Come on, kitty kitty, just a peck…" she said and then tried to kiss, but he quickly jumped out of the way. "Almost!"

"Get back, you savage!" Cat Noir yelled frantically and then ran off.

"Here, kitty kitty kitty! Come here!" Ladybug yelled, chasing after him.

Meanwhile, Dark Cupid was still chasing after Chloé.

"You can't outrun me, Chloé!" he laughed.

Chloé was so busy running she wasn't watching where she was going, and when she turned the corner, she tripped over a flower stand.

"Help!" she said to the civilians.

However, when the civilians saw Dark Cupid, they ran away screaming.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Chloé," he said, aiming an arrow at her. "Now, you'll get what you deserve."

"My hair!" Chloé cried, noticing that she was covered in dirt. "There is nothing worse in this world than a bad hair day! First, Ladybug wrinkles my new jacket; second, you totally ruined my hair! Just go ahead and just change me already! This day can't get any worse…"

"I don't need to waste this arrow on you," said Dark Cupid lowering his bow. "Your heart is so dark and shrivelled; there's no room for love."

He laughed and flew away.

"Ugh! How dare you talk to me like that?" Chloé yelled.

"Actually, there is some truth to what he said," said Sprite's voice causing her to jump.

She turned and found him standing there, leaning on his cane. "Where were you? I thought you were supposed to protect me!"

"I was just about to jump in until he changed his mind, but now it appears you don't need my protection," said Sprite. "Now, if you don't mind, there is a certain heroine who does need my help."

He then swung his cane and swung away.

"Hey! Come back here!" Chloé yelled, chasing after him, only to bump into Sabrina. "Huh? Why are you just standing there? Help me up!"

Sabrina, however, didn't move, and that's when Chloé saw her lips were black, indicating that Dark Cupid and gotten to her.

"Ha! You think I'd help someone as stuck up as you?" said Sabrina and then took an embarrassing picture of Chloé with her cellphone. "Wait till everyone gets a load of this!"

She then cackled and ran away, leaving behind a frustrated Chloé.

Meanwhile, Cat Noir was still being chased by Ladybug, and finally, she was able to catch up to him.

She swung her yo-yo, wrapping it around his leg, causing him to drop his staff. She then promptly tied into the nearest lamppost and then lowered herself so that she was facing him upside down.

"No, no!" Cat Noir panicked, trying to free himself.

"Don't worry, I'm not looking forward to it either," Ladybug assured him. She then attempted to kiss him, but he kept on dodging. Eventually, she was forced to hold his nose to hold him still. "I can't believe I'm doing this."

She then leaned in to kiss him, but before her lips could touch his, an arrow shot by Dark Cupid narrowly missed her. He then began firing even more, forcing Ladybug to release Cat Noir and took cover behind a tree.

"How you gonna fight both of us now, bug eyes?" said Cat Noir as he joined Dark Cupid at the fountain, and the two of them bumped fists.

"Looks like they forgot about me," said Sprite as he landed next to Ladybug. "Sorry about that, but our winged friend decided to change targets."

"Well, at least it's two on two now," she said.

"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir yelled, activating his power. "I've often wondered what would happen if I use my Cataclysm on someone."

"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug yelled, activating her power. Then suddenly appearing out of thin air was a red candy apple with black spots. "A candy apple? What am I supposed to do with this?"

"Maybe selling it, we'll be tasting the sweet taste of victory," said Sprite.

"Think, Ladybug…" she said as she looked around. She then spotted the fountain, Cat Noir's ring, Sprite's cane and Dark Cupid's brooch and got an idea and looked at Sprite. "Follow my lead."

Sprite nodded, and Ladybug jumped out of her hiding spot. "I've got a Valentine's gift for you!"

Both Dark Cupid and Cat Noir then jumped at her. Dark Cupid shot arrows at her, but Sprite jumped out from behind a tree and used his cane to deflect them. Cat Noir then charged her, preparing to use his Cataclysm on her, but she leaned back at the last second, and then Sprite knocked him in the face with his cane.

"I need a boost!" Ladybug yelled.

Sprite nodded and immediately held his in both hands, she then quickly jumped on it, and he launched her into the air. Once she was directly over Dark Cupid, she tossed the candy apple, and it landed on his head. He immediately began to remove it, and Ladybug landed on the statue.

"Looks like you got yourself in a sticky situation!" Ladybug smiled.

Dark Cupid quickly removed the candy apple from his hand and then each side to fire another arrow, but his hand was all sticky and got on all over the bowstring preventing him from launching the arrow.

"Ladybug!" he cursed.

Ladybug then jumped onto the ground where Sprite was fending off Cat Noir.

"And now, for the pussy-cat!" she said.

Cat Noir saw her and broke away from Sprite to chase after her until he landed on top of her.

"Cat Noir, her Miraculous!" said Dark Cupid as he landed next to the fountain.

"With pleasure!" Cat Noir smiled as dark Cupid began washing his hands in the fountain.

Sprite then suddenly charged in, swinging his cane at Dark Cupid, who barely had time to block it with his bow. "Got little old me, did you?"

"Finally, I'll find out who you are, Ladybug!" said Cat Noir. "Your little secret will be out of the bag!"

Ladybug then suddenly grabbed his face and then pulled him towards her. Caught completely by surprise, he suddenly found his lips touching Ladybug's, and the spell he was under was broken.

"Huh?" he gasped as he didn't remember what happened. "What am I doing here?"

Ladybug then quickly grabbed his hand and placed him on her shoulders. "No time! The quiver pin, Cat Noir! Now!"

She then tossed Cat Noir, causing him to scream at Dark Cupid, who was still trying to fend Sprite. Once he saw Cat Noir flying towards them, Sprite immediately disengaged with Dark Cupid and Cat Noir collided with him.

"Grab it! Grab the pin!" Ladybug yelled.

Cat Noir was a little shaken, but he quickly noticed that the sash around Dark Cupid had been destroyed thanks to his Cataclysm.

"No!" Dark Cupid yelled.

"Sorry, need that," said Cat Noir and quickly snatched the pin. "Happy Valentine's Day!"

He then quickly tossed the pin to Ladybug. "Awww, you shouldn't have…" She then immediately dropped the pin. "Whoops!" She then stomped on the pin releasing the akuma.

"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!" she said, swinging her yo-yo and court the akuma. "Gotcha!" She then released the purified akuma, and it fluttered away. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!"

She then tossed her Lucky Charm into the air, and the magical ladybugs began returning everything back to normal.

Alya was just about to cut a picture of her and Marinette in half when she returned back to normal. "What the heck am I doing?"

Sabrina was scribbling on Adrien's portrait when she, too, returned back to normal.

"What the heck are you doing?!" she demanded as she burst into the room.

"I have no idea!" said Sabrina honestly.

The two of them then looked at the now ruined photo of Adrian, and both sobbed in despair.

Kim then began to transform back to normal. "Huh?"

The three heroes then bumped fists. "Pound it!"

Ladybug then heard a miraculous beginning to beep. "Oops!"

"Wait, Ladybug!" said Ladybug before she ran off. "I gotta tell you something."

Ladybug looked at him awkwardly. "Look, the kiss… I had to break the spell, or…"

"Kiss? What kiss? No, I just wanted to say…" Then his miraculous began to beep.

"Look out, Cat Noir, your ring is flashing!" Ladybug noted.

"Uhh… yours too!"

Ladybug laughed. "We're about to turn into pumpkins, and personally, I'd rather not see that."

Then the two of them began to run in opposite directions.

Sprite then helped Kim to his feet. "Well, this is certainly going to be one Valentine's Day that will be forgotten anytime soon."

"Grrr… blasted Ladybug! Blasted Valentine's Day!" Hawk Moth cursed as he closed his window.

At the Place des Vosges, the postman had just arrived and began opening the mailbox, which was full of letters. Marinette was close by and could see her letter pulling out of the mailbox.

"Hey, there's your chance to get your card back!" said Tikki.

"That was before…" said Marinette.

"Before what?" Tikki frowned. "Tell me!"

"I realised that even with all this hate everywhere, love still wins. But if I wanna win over Adrien, he needs to know the truth about how I feel."

"Ah! This is a big day!"

Adrian had just returned to his room, and he was deeply depressed. Not only had he failed to tell Ladybug how it felt while he was under Dark Cupid's spell, but he also said a few hateful things.

"Hahaha! Can you believe all the horrible, thoughtless things you said to Ladybug?" Plagg teased as he ate his Camembert.

"You think it's funny, huh?" said Adrian depressed and fell onto his bed.

"What's the big deal?" Plagg asked, flying towards the pile of Valentine's Day cards. "You've got so many cards from all these lady fans of yours! Take your pick!"

Plagg then dived into Adrian's pile until he picked up Marinette's card and tossed it over to Adrian. The card landed on his bed and opened up, and when he looked at it, he noticed the poem.

"Whoa, hold up! Someone answered my poem? But I threw it away!" he said as he sat up and began reading it. "'Your hair shines like the sun, your eyes are gorgeous green; I look at you and wonder your innermost thoughts and dreams. Yes, your Valentine I will be, our love will be so true, together for eternity, my heart belongs to you.'"

"Aww, well, anyone who writes as sickeningly sweet as you must be your soulmate," said Plagg.

"It isn't signed…" Adrian noted, and then ladybug landed on the card. It then took off again, and he followed it towards the window, watching it as it flew away. "Could it have come from Ladybug?"

"Oh, please," Plagg groaned.

In Marinette's room, Marinette was trying to remember whether she had signed her letter before sending it.

"What do you mean, you don't remember? Did you sign the card or not?" Alya asked.

"I don't know! The ladybug came along while I was writing, then you were yapping about your blog, and then…" she moaned. "It's all a blur!"

"I don't believe you!" Alya laughed. "The girl didn't even sign it! I love you and all, but sometimes you seriously bug! You know that, right?"

"Guess you're back to square one," Jack chuckled. "Guess you're going to have to try again next year."

All three of them laughed as a ladybug outside the house.
