Chapter 8: Cat's Tail and Some Crazy
Wayne Manor - Bat Cave
In the Bat Cave, we see Bruce in his chair and thinking deeply, like how Veronica Vale figures out Naruto is Batman and others. Then again, she's very much like her mother as she figures out that Bruce was Batman and was able to keep the secret safe. The elder Wayne wonders how this would go down, like finding out how Veronica figures out and see if she can keep the secret as her mother did for him in the past. He would have to see for himself how it would go down.
Bruce then started to get an alarm on the Batcomputer a robbery in a jewelry store and got his attention as the silent alarms were just triggered by the owner. Not the thief, how interesting and strange. He would need Naruto to go check out while he, his daughter, and Terry talk with the red-haired reporter.
"Naruto," Bruce said on the com-line.
"Yeah boss," Naruto said who appeared on a screen on the computer, still in his suit and gear. He was driving the Batmobile while Veronica was with Huntress on her bike and Red Hood not far behind.
"A jewelry store is being robbed. I need to go check out it then come back home," Bruce informed.
"Will do. And don't go hard on Veronica, I believe she will keep our secret," Batman assured his guardian/close to a father figure.
"We will see," Bruce said as he petted Ace's head who just come by and sat next to the old man. Something told the first Dark Knight that a similar history between Vicki and himself would for sure repeat itself for Naruto and Veronica, let's hope it works out for them.
With Batman
Once parking the car, we see Neo Dark Knight leaving the Batmobile and heading to the scene of the crime took place, at a jewelry store that has a long history. Batman scouted the jewelry store from a rooftop above.
"No signs of forced entry. No alarms going anymore. You sure this is the right place Bruce?" Batman asked
"Hmmm, maybe it was a false alarm the system easily fixed. All the same, take a quick look inside. Worst case trigger an alarm and sneak out for the police to investigate," Bruce said.
Naruto nodded and landed on the jewelry store roof at a skylight before his eyes widened. The window was unlocked. Meaning no one needed to force their way in.
Naruto quickly opened the window and dropped down to see several downed guards.
"~Well well you know how to keep a lady waiting Batman~," A seductive female voice said halting any conversation in the Batcave happening.
"Show yourself" The Neo Dark Knight ordered
"~Ooh so demanding it's kind of a turn-on! After all~" The female purred as she stepped from the shadows revealing herself for all to see. (Black Cat PS4)
"What's a Bat without a Cat?" She asked seductively as she stepped towards the Batman and rubbed herself against him seductively.
Batman blinked a few times, not believing this, and had heard from Helena & sometimes Bruce about another cat thief - Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. He could see the similarities between this new thief and the old one but also something else that he couldn't put his finger on.
Unknown to the Dark Knight, at the Batcave and everyone could see on the computer. They have seen the new cat appearing and her flirting with Naruto, causing Helena and Veronica to be pissed off by this. Bruce wishes Naruto luck on that as he knows from his past ones of having more than one lover and actions of jealousy too. Again he wished the blonde luck.
Batman gently pushed the new cat thief off of him and said, "And you are? Because I can tell you are no Catwoman."
"Point. The name is Black Cat, got to be careful around me...or get some bad luck when I cross your path, handsome~," Black Cat flirted as she winked and backflipped away from the Dark Knight who landed the rooftop away from him. She then blow a kiss on her love interest and challenged him to follow him.
Batman narrowed his eyes and pushed on the side of his cowl to speak to the cave, "So, you saw that too, huh?"
"I have, Naruto. Best to be careful around this Black Cat...and take your time on coming home," Bruce said, sounding concerned.
"Huh, why?" Batman asked, not sure what his guardian/father figure meant by that.
"Well let's just that Helena and Veronica have a different opinion about Black Cat...and her obsession for you," Bruce answered.
This made Naruto understand and sighed, knowing that when he gets back home, it won't be a good welcome. Either good or bad was hard to say for the time being. Why his luck with women has to be complex and strange to him? It's a blessing and a big curse these days. He could ask Bruce for help but then again, maybe not, and move on.
Batcave
"That bitch!" Helena and Veronica voiced their opinions out loud, which surprised and terrified Terry as he could have sworn he saw a horrifying mask above their heads.
"Uhhhhh, Wayne? Should we be worried?" Terry asked, sounding scared and should know as he dated Dana for a long while, that a woman's furry to not a good idea to push forward. And more is scary.
"Hmm no," Bruce said, taking some tea and allowing Ace to set next to his legs, resting up.
"And for Naruto?" Terry asked, being concerned for his friend.
Bruce hummed in thought and didn't answer as he know that it was up to Naruto & those two, between them only. He was glad that Veronica would keep the secret about the New Bat-Family and himself as she shared her mother's sense of stories & view on things while having her own. That's good news and one less problem to worry about but the blonde would have to face a new problem once he gets home or later if he's lucky.
Small Time Skip
Old Warehouse - Black Mask's former operations
Back with the Knight of Tomorrow, well things change up when he lost sight of Black Cat and got ambushed by a new gang who wore a familiar black & white mask. The symbol of strength and pain, the symbol that once belong to the Man that Broke the Bat himself, Bane.
Batman was surprised by the enhanced thugs who used some kind of newer version of Venom and locked up on a table. He had a feeling that by playing along, he could learn more which he did. It seems that this gang was inspired by the actions and methods of Bane, with bigger goals in mind which are in hiding. So being taken may not be a smart move but has given the Dark Knight more information which he would have to tell Bruce about it and knows it would a piece of big troubling news too. That someone is using one of his deadliest rogues and what he did to him years ago.
"Well well well what have we here?" A certain female voice asked out loud, getting the Dark Knight out of his thoughts and seeing who was coming into view.
Batman looked up from his confined state star and pointed to a table to see a familiar woman staring down at him with a lustful look.
"Black Cat," He said in monotony.
"Oh is that any way to greet your favorite kitty bats?" Black Cat asked as she dropped down in front of him.
"What are you doing here Black Cat?" Batman asked with caution, not sure what the thief's game was.
"Oh, you know. I just came for a few trinkets and thought to see you that you may have a treat for me" Black Cat said as she sidled up to him with a sway in her hips, leaning forward pressing her cleavage in his face as she unlocked him from the table.
"Now that I've got you free how about that treat?" She asked, flirting.
However, Batman immediately grabbed Black Cat and grappled up to the ceiling with her in his arms as some thugs came back to check on the formerly imprisoned bat. To their surprise, the Bat escape and left intending to search for Batman.
Batman then let Black Cat back down to the floor as he started planning what he would do to take out the thugs.
"You know bats if you're gonna carry a girl in your arms you should buy her dinner first," Black Cat said as she pressed herself into the knight.
The Neo Dark Knight blushed underneath the mask at this show of affection.
'Why do I always end up in these situations?' He asked himself in thought. Again, a blessing and a curse these days.
Later - Time Skip
After that night of Black Cat, meeting the new Bane Gang & dealing with them to get small information about them, and gaining information from Veronica on a few things. After those nights, Naruto, Helena, and Terry had been trying to fight off this new gang of metahumans that appeared in Gotham now. A group is similar to one that had been established in Dakota in the past during the days of Static Shock's heyday starting as a hero. A gang is similar to the meta breed.
However, this group didn't care if you were a part of some big bang or were a bang baby. Anyone with powers was allowed to join. But in the end, it was still a gang of meta criminals that believed in superiority over those with no powers.
This group went by the Meta Kings. And Bruce did not like having them loose in his city. A group of dangerous meta left loose sound be disastrous for citizens and criminals alike. However, Bruce also knew that he should swallow his pride a bit on this one and say something he never thought he would do.
Bruce asked Helena to call in some of her team from Jump City for help, The Teen Titans. On the screen in the bat computer now was a beautiful woman with long blonde hair that reached to her mid-back and have a figure that many would want or wish to have. She wore a black leather jacket, a dark green leotard, dark green fishnets, dark green gloves, black heels, and a black choker with a dark green gem in the center. This was Olivia Lance Queen aka the new Black Canary.
"And so we need your guy's help dealing with this new gang that popped up in Gotham," Helena explained sitting in Bruce's chair.
Naruto stood on her left side also on-screen while Terry was in the background doing handstand push-ups with weights balanced on his feet under the supervision of Bruce sitting in a chair and Ace not so far behind who was eating up & drinking some water. Also next to Bruce was a small crane-like device to add more weight to Terry's feet much to his chagrin and agony.
"As much as we would all love to come there Helena we can't all just leave Jump City unprotected. However, I think I do have someone who I can spare," Olivia told her. Just as she spoke those words the door opened up revealing a sight to Naruto that would be forever burned in his retinas.
The daughter of Dick Grayson and Starfire. Nightstar, Mari Grayson clad in nothing but a towel dripping wet as she just exited the shower.
"Friend Olivia the shower is now free," She told Black Canary. While she has been raised on earth she is still ok earth being raised by a Tamaranian and does get some visits from her aunt Blackfire at times. So she still has some Tamaranean obliviousness in some situations. Bless Dick for trying to raise her somewhat normal but normal can only do so little much in a Tamaranean household.
Olivia facepalmed at Mari's arrival in a towel knowing how dense she was at times and sighed.
"Speak of the devil and she shall appear. Mari was the one I was talking about being able to send your way," Olivia explained as Helena looked on deadpan at what was on the screen used to Mari's oblivious moments. Naruto just stared blushing at the towel-clad bombshell.
"Oh you are talking to Friend Helena and a cute boy I assume to be Naruto. He is what is it called? Quite a hunk?" Mari said as she slowly walked over to the giant computer screen making Naruto's blush burn brighter.
"Yeah, Helena was just asking if we could send anyone to Gotham to help them deal with an all meta crime gang. And while I would love to help them out. I believe you are the only titan we can spare at the moment from the city due to your quick flight abilities," Olivia explained to Mari.
"Oh yes that would be wonderful I would love to help Friend Helena and the hunk," Mari said as she bounced up a bit. And the towel loosened off of her body revealing her nude form to both naruto and Helena.
Naruto immediately at the sight shot back with a nosebleed. And proceeded to hit Terry making the weights on his legs crush both of them. All while Bruce sat there drinking a cup of coffee not bothering to help them.
Helena and Olivia just facepalmed as Mari giggled.
"Oh, he has funny reactions. Hehehe. I see why you like him, Olivia," Mari said as Olivia turned to her blushing and confused.
"What are you talking about? I don't like him," Olviva stated in a way that made it seem like she was hiding her feelings as she was quite interested in the blonde from what Helena had told her about him...and their near makeout session too.
"Really then why is it when I passed by your room I heard you moan about wanting an intimate spar with him?" Mari asked her innocently.
Olivia paled at those words as she immediately turned to Helena who was staring deadpan at this whole event.
"Ok anyway bye Helena I'll send Mari immediately gotta go!" Olivia shouted quickly as she turned off the screen.
Helena just deadpan turned from the screen to the sight of Naruto and Terry stuck under some weights. The blonde was unconscious while the black-haired teen was struggling to get the weights off of his body.
"Helena. A. Little. Help?" Terry asked as he was having trouble moving while Bruce just sat there drinking coffee.
Helena however just facepalmed at the sight.
Why were both her teams filled with crazy people?
