A/N: I don't know how many people here are from Greece, but I heard that it's the national holiday, so I'd like to wish all my Greek readers a Καλή Εορτασμός της Ελληνικής Επανάστασης του 1821 (forgive me if I translated that wrong)! That aside, let's continue with the Cannonball Run.

That night, the members of Team Midoriya had snuggled with each other under the fire engine according to who had which dance partner, so Uraraka – who was the first to awaken the next day – had been snuggling with Deku. However, the pleasure of being with him evaporated when she noticed something resting against her. She tilted her head to see what it was, and she got the nastiest surprise of her life: at some point before she had awakened, a rattlesnake had cozied up to her. While she'd never seen one in real life, she recognized what it was, and in doing so, she let out a series of small, horrified gasps. Additionally, her heart rate went up, and she sweated and trembled nervously, knowing that if she made a wrong move, then she would likely be injected with venom.

"D-Deku…!"

Not knowing what else to do, Uraraka gently shook Deku with her elbow as she tried to call for him while keeping her voice down.

"Deku, please…wake up!"

Deku groaned softly as he woke up.

"Uraraka…?"

"Deku, help me!"

Deku rubbed his eyes. "Uraraka…what's wrong?"

"Th-there's a rattlesnake next to me!"

Deku slowly rose to get a better look, and sure enough, he saw the rattlesnake.

"Uraraka, don't move! It's probably resting with you for warmth!"

"J-just do something!"

Deku looked over at Uraraka's frightened face, and then at the snake. He couldn't make any sudden moves, either, and using One For All was out of the question.

(I have to get that snake away from Uraraka, but how?)

At this moment, Deku appeared to be at an impasse. He desperately looked around for anything that could help him, and in doing so, his eyes landed on Tsu.

(That's it!)

However, though Tsu wasn't far from Deku or Uraraka, another problem presented itself in that Tsu was positioned so her feet were pointing directly at Uraraka's feet, which meant that Deku would have to awaken Iida first.

(At this point, it's worth a shot…)

Deku slowly retracted his foot as if he were about to jostle Iida awake. However, he needn't have done so, for he heard Iida pandiculating.

"Good morning!" said Iida.

"Shhh!" Deku put his index finger over his lips.

"Midoriya, what's going on?"

"Keep your voice down! There's a rattlesnake right next to Uraraka!"

"Oh dear! This is a tricky situation indeed!"

Just then, Tsu could be heard yawning.

"Iida…?" said Tsu.

"Asui, remain quiet!" said Iida. "Midoriya tells me that a rattlesnake has chosen to rest against Uraraka!"

"A rattlesnake?" Asui looked over at Uraraka and could just make it out. "I'll take care of it."

"Asui, that's foolhardy! It could bite you!"

"Don't worry, I have extensive knowledge in handling reptiles." Tsu got up and slowly approached Uraraka. "Stay still, hon; I'll get it."

Uraraka remained as still as possible as she watched Tsu gently approach the snake, wielding a Halligan bar that she'd kept with her in case of enemy attack. She wanted to cry out for Tsu not to be so foolish, but her gut instinct told her to trust her friend. In the process, the snake let out the familiar rattling sound, so Tsu ceased her approach for now and waited for it to calm down. Once she was sure that the snake was calm enough, Tsu continued her approach. Contrary to Uraraka's perception, Tsu was chilled to the bone by the prospect of facing down a venomous snake. Nevertheless, it was her knowledge in handling reptiles that gave her the confidence to approach it, not to mention her friends' faith in her. With one final approach, she used the wedge-shaped end of the Halligan bar to pick up the snake. Fortunately, the snake didn't bite her or Uraraka, and she was able to climb out from under the Mack and discard the snake a fair distance away from the rig. For a moment afterwards, Uraraka was trembling at the revulsion of what she went through. However, after recovering from the shock, a smile graced her face, and she sprung to her feet.

"Oh Tsu…THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" Uraraka lunged at Tsu and gave her a big hug. "I was so scared! I thought that thing was gonna bite me!"

Despite Uraraka's extreme enthusiasm, Tsu returned the hug. "Don't mention it, hon. I'm just glad you're alive."

"Iida, good job letting Tsu know about the snake!" said Deku.

"You say that as if you had confidence in her…but why?" asked Iida.

"Well, her Quirk gives her frog-like abilities, so I figured she'd be a natural at this sort of thing."

Iida smiled. "A most exemplary deduction!"

"I'll say." Tsu had let go of Uraraka by now. "The more I hang out with you, the more of a natural-born leader I think you are."

Deku smiled nervously and rubbed the back of his head. "Well…I try!"

"All right, that's enough banter," said Iida. "Let's have our breakfast and finish this race!"

"Right!" said everybody else.

While Deku may not have known where everybody else was in this race, he was nevertheless determined to finish the race or die trying.

While Class 1-A was burning serious rubber in the US, back in their native Japan, in a bar called the Hitorino Bar, located in Kamino Ward, Tomura Shigaraki was mulling over the current anti-Quirk movement.

"Every second I continue to exist in this worthless world, I grow to hate humanity more and more," said Shigaraki. "Why must I be shamed for an immutable characteristic that was beyond my control?"

"For once, I agree with you," said Dabi. "Let's just kill 'em all like Metallica did in '83."

"Yeah, and then drink all their blood!" said Himiko Toga. "Ooh, I feel so tingly just thinking about it!"

"Come on, guys, let's do it!" said Jin Bubaigawara, better known as "Twice". "That would be a contemporarily bad idea, my friends!"

"While I do agree that the members of the anti-Quirk movement need to be shown the errors of their ways, we should do it with flair, with panache!" said Atsuhiro "Mr. Compress" Sako. "If we can disrupt something like a sporting event or fan convention, then that will truly send society a message!"

Shigaraki nodded. "Yes…but what?"

Just then, Shigaraki's attention drifted to Toga, who was looking at her phone.

"Hey Shigaraki, look at this!" Toga thrust her phone at Shigaraki.

"Why?"

"Just look at it! I think you'll find it very interesting!"

"If you say so…"

Shigaraki took Toga's phone and had a gandy at it. It was opened to a news story about the Cannonball Run, in particular a section about rumors regarding students from a Japanese high school taking part. He gently raised his eyebrows at the mention of 'Japanese high school'. If this was true, then that kid he held hostage at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall was probably participating in this event as well. For him, there was only one way to find out…

"Lady and gentlemen, pack your bags. We're going to the United States of America."

Later that day, over at UA High School, things were quiet. Principal Nezu was in his office packing a few things, anticipating the closure of UA. Suddenly, someone knocked on his door.

"Come in," said Nezu.

The door opened, and All Might entered.

"Ah, you're early, All Might. What brings you here?"

"Oh, I wanted to talk with you about something…"

"Yes?"

"I haven't heard anything from Class 1-A in a while. In particular, I tried calling young Midoriya, and he hasn't answered in a couple of days."

"You don't think the League of Villains has kidnapped them, do you?"

All Might shook his head. "If they have, then I would've known about it by now."

Nezu stroked his chin. "That is a valid point."

"By the way, do you mind if I watch that TV? I'd like to check the news."

"Go right ahead!"

All Might turned on a nearby flatscreen TV and changed it over to Fuji TV, where a most providential news broadcast was playing.

"…in other news, the United States of America's biggest automotive sporting event is underway as more than thirty teams compete in this year's Cannonball Run for a shot at five million American dollars," said anchorman Yoshiro Nakashima. "A popular rumor has it that some of the competitors are students from a Japanese high school for future Pro Heroes…"

All Might froze at the last few words. He couldn't believe that the students of Class 1-A – including his beloved Izuku Midoriya – would be competing in an event as foolhardy and dangerous as the Cannonball Run. As far as he knew, none of them were old enough to legally drive anything larger than a moped, nor did he think that a lot of them had the money to buy automobiles. Still, his gut instinct told him that maybe, just maybe, they had faked up licenses and scrounged up the money to participate.

"Is everything all right?" asked Nezu.

"Everything will be all right…"

Just then, All Might's muscles bulked up, and he put a smile on his face as he changed into his Hero Form.

"…because I will be there! Inform Eraserhead and the others!"

Nezu saluted. "Yes, sir!"

Back in America, Team Midoriya had crossed into Nevada via Route 15, and as they were passing through Las Vegas, they were listening to Selections From The Original Motion Picture "This Is Elvis", which was currently playing "Viva Las Vegas". Tsu also really liked this one.

"Now I see why Elvis Presley is so widely held in high regard!" said Iida.

"I know, right?" said Deku. "Whoever left those tapes and that boombox for us was a generous soul!"

"I wish we could stay longer in this city, though!" said Uraraka. "I hear Las Vegas is supposed to be really pretty at night!"

"Midoriya, look up ahead!"

Iida pointed out a stranded vehicle on the side of the road: a Super White 2017 Toyota Camry. The driver – a young blonde lady with her hair in two messy buns – was flagging them down.

"I'm no mechanic, but I'll stop to help her anyways!" said Deku.

Putting on his right turn signal and being careful to watch for oncoming vehicles, Deku pulled the fire engine over and parked behind the Camry. He then hopped out.

"Can I help you, Miss?" asked Deku.

The woman clasped her hands together. "Oh, thank GOD you're here! I was just driving along when this car died on me for no reason!"

Deku smiled. "Well, pop the hood open! I'll be happy to take a look!"

Deku went to the front of the car, and the lady opened the driver's door and pulled the hood release lever. Deku then opened the hood and propped it up with the hood support rod.

"Hmmm…everything looks fine so far," said Deku. "Let me…"

Suddenly, somebody yanked Deku from behind by the throat.

"You remember me?" said the mysterious assailant. "I remember you. We met at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall a month ago. Oh, it feels like forever!"

Deku was trembling and sweating bullets. "P-please, whoever you are…let me go! I don't know anything!"

"Really? Did you honestly believe that that fireman costume would fool me? You're so stupid if you do."

"Look…I don't want any trouble with you! I'm just here to…"

"…win the Cannonball Run, right? Well, sadly, this is where it comes to an end for you! But before you do, I'd like to introduce us! My name is Tomura Shigaraki, and this is my associate, Himiko Toga!"

Toga drew a pocket knife. "I'm going to enjoy drinking your blood!"

Deku let out a couple of frightened moans at the prospect of Toga drinking his blood. As far as he knew, he hadn't entered the Cannonball Run just to end up becoming an involuntary blood donor before being disintegrated.

"YOU!" shouted Shigaraki. "Get back in that truck or your friend dies!"

Iida, Uraraka and Tsu, who had exited the Mack in an attempt to rescue Deku, hurriedly scrambled back to their seats.

"Tsk tsk, looks like your friends won't be any help after all," said Shigaraki. "Any last words before you turn into dust?"

"Nobody will be turned into dust, because I am here!"

Shigaraki and Toga turned around, only to see All Might standing there.

"All Might!" said Shigaraki. "Leave us be or the boy gets it!"

"I would love to see you try!" said All Might.

"Very well, then."

Shigaraki closed his middle finger around Deku's neck, this gaining a complete hold on him. In the process, Deku braced himself for the inevitability of death. However, it never came.

"What the…!?" said Shigaraki.

"Were you only expecting All Might?" said Shota Aizawa, better known as "Eraserhead".

"You BASTARD!" exclaimed Shigaraki. "How dare you cancel my Quirk!?"

Eraserhead didn't answer that one. Rather, he used his Capture Cloth to pull Deku out of the way while All Might delivered a powerful haymaker to Shigaraki. Though momentarily stunned, Shigaraki wasn't out yet.

"DON'T JUST STAND THERE!" shouted Shigaraki. "STOP THOSE NITWITS!"

In the next instant, Twice, Mr. Compress, Dabi and Kurogiri emerged, and it looked as though All Might and Eraserhead would be outnumbered. However, that was far from the case as…

"Leave my fellow heroes alone!" said Enji Todoroki, better known as the Number Two Hero "Endeavor". "FLASHFIRE FIST!"

With Endeavor, Midnight, Mt. Lady and a few other Pro Heroes on scene, Las Vegas would turn from Sin City to Super City as the heroes battled it out with the League of Villains. Not only did Team Midoriya watch as a most epic slugfest unfolded around them, but most – if not all – motorists stopped to see just what the heck was going on. Fists slammed, kicks swung, and both sides stepped up their efforts as much as they possibly could, hoping to prove themselves superior. As he watched the battle unfold, Deku was grateful beyond words that his favorite hero had shown up to help him and his friends out. However, he recognized that if he stayed for too long, then somebody else would win the Cannonball Run, possibly a team not from UA, either, so him and the rest of Team Midoriya made a beeline for their fire engine.

"Young Midoriya…"

Deku had just reached the driver's door of the Mack CF when he turned to see All Might – who took a brief break from the slugfest – address him.

"Did you bring all of your fellow students together just so you could enter the Cannonball Run to raise the money to save UA?" asked All Might.

Shocked that his plan had been uncovered, Deku swung his hands around wildly.

"I'm sorry All Might I really didn't want UA to be closed down because I was afraid that future heroes wouldn't get a shot to save the world and I didn't want the villains to win PLEASE DON'T BE MAD AT ME!"

Deku clutched his leatherhead in his hands as he trembled and averted his gaze, anxiously wondering how All Might would respond.

"Young Midoriya…"

This was it for Deku. Either All Might would praise him for his hard work and dedication to UA, or he would punish him for breaking international law. The answer soon became obvious…

"…I am proud of you!"

"Huh?"

Deku uncovered his head and slowly looked up as he felt All Might's hand on his shoulder.

"R-really?" said Deku.

"Of course!" said All Might. "Sometimes, being a hero and doing the right thing means that you may have to break a few rules, and the fact that you went to such great lengths to rally your fellow students into entering the Cannonball Run truly shows what kind of leader you are!"

Deku smiled as tears filled his eyes. "I…I'm HONORED! I'll do my best to win this race! Thanks for coming to help us out!"

"You're very welcome! Now go forth and win this race, not just for me, but for all heroes…past, present and future!"

Deku nodded. "I will!"

"Oh, and by the way, that firefighter's uniform looks really good on you!"

"Thank you!"

With that, Deku got back behind the wheel of the fire engine and drove off, lights flashing and siren and air horns blaring, while All Might and the other heroes resumed their task of fighting the League of Villains.
