When the Cannonball Run was well and truly over, Class 1-A headed back to Japan. With UA High School saved, they could focus on what was most important: studying to become Pro Heroes. The faculty of UA even held a special ceremony for them, though it was clear that there would also be consequences…

"I'm not going to lie," said Aizawa. "I'm disappointed in all of you. Not only did you break international laws by making fake driver's licenses and committing several traffic violations during your participation in the Cannonball Run, but you nearly caused several international incidents by using your Quirks against law enforcement officials. Ordinarily, I would punish you for your tomfoolery, but because I am mildly impressed by the great lengths that all of you went to in order to carry out this elaborate plan, I'm staying my hand."

The students of Class 1-A all breathed a sigh of relief.

"Having said that, the Musutafu Police Department and the FBI have ordered me and the rest of the UA faculty to have a talk with all of your parents, who will deal with you accordingly. Until then, Lunch Rush has set up this American-style barbecue for you, and there are plans to erect a Cannonball Museum in your honor, where your vehicles will be displayed. Chow down, everyone."

"All right!" exclaimed Present Mic. "Let's get this party started!"

Present Mic popped Rare Earth's One World album into Team Midoriya's boombox, and the party really got started with "I Just Want to Celebrate". Lunch Rush served up burgers, hot dogs, kielbasa, chicken…whatever Americans would usually have at cookouts. Tokoyami had a chat with Hagakure and Ashido, Todoroki and Deku congratulated each other on their driving, and Tsu exchanged snake handling tips with Kaminari, among other interactions. Overall, it seemed as though all of Class 1-A was having a jovial time…that is, except for one person…

"Hey Bakugo, everybody's havin' a good time with each other!" said Kirishima. "Why are ya just mopin' around over here in the corner?"

Kacchan threw his free arm up. "Ya wanna know why!? It's because I don't wanna be ANYWHERE near that kid with the silly green hair!"

"Why not? Midoriya didn't do anything wrong to ya!"

"I'll tell ya why not: I caught the gay!"

Kirishima frowned. "Hey, I can understand if you're unhappy that ya lost the Cannonball Run, but don't ya think homophobia's a little outta line, even for you?"

Kacchan grabbed Kirishima by the collar, causing the latter to almost drop his food in the process.

"Listen, Kirishima, ever since All Might made me kiss that little punk, that's all I can think about! Every night when I'm dreamin', all I can see is that kid with a goofy smile on his face! Every day when I pass by him, I have the inescapable urge to smooch his brains out! No matter what I do, I can't stop this feeling deep inside of me, and it's tearin' me apart!"

"Look, if it's eatin' at ya that bad, then why not make an appointment with Empath?" asked Kirishima. "He might be able to help out."

"HOW WOULD YOU KNOW!? YOU'RE NOT THE ONE WHO SMOOCHED THE DUMB KID WITH THE GOOFY GREEN HAIR!"

Kacchan's last outburst caused everyone to stop what they were doing and look over in his direction. Kirishima put on a nervous smile and sweated a bit.

"Uh…buddy…everyone's lookin' at us, heh heh…"

Kacchan let go of Kirishima and turned away.

"Just leave me alone," said Kacchan.

Kirishima did so, while everyone else continued to celebrate.
