"Hi there, everybody, it's Tsuyu Asui, aka 'Froppy', and I'm here to give you a few facts about the Cannonball Run. The first Cannonball Run was held in 1971, and was named the 'Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash' in honor of Erwin 'Cannon Ball' Baker, who set a record by driving from New York to Los Angeles in 53 and a half hours in 1933. The race was held four more times, in 1971, 1972, 1975 and 1979, and several unofficial successor races have been held since then. Believe it or not, the ambulance used in the 1979 Cannonball Run was used by Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise in the 1981 movie The Cannonball Run, also starring Farrah Fawcett, Jack Elam, Roger Moore, Adrienne Barbeau and Jackie Chan, among others. The current whereabouts of this vehicle are unknown, but somebody made a replica of it."
