A month before…

"The acquisition of MBI is complete…"

Sheldon sat half listening to what was being said by the CHWKs head accountant.

"MBI generated a 11-million-dollar profit last year..."

Leonard turned to glance at Sheldon out of habit to see what he had to say, since he usually would have interrupted their meetings with questions. He noticed that Sheldon wasn't even paying attention to what was being said, and that was so not like Sheldon who always had something to say. Leonard noticed that he had a faraway looked as if he was remembering something.

'That was strange.' Thought Leonard before really looking at Sheldon who sat there wearing an expensive suit looking immaculate like always but he had not shaved. That was odd, also he had not said anything other than a greeting since he returned from Las Vegas this morning.

"I have to say our marketing director is looking fantastic with that new haircut she's sporting." Howard whispered leaning close to Leonard.

Leonard gave him a blank look.

Their relationship between the four friends had been strained since the "Incident" during a game night at Leonard's and Sheldon's apartment, but their friendship was too valuable to hold a grudge.

"It's fits her," Leonard said finally before continuing, "But I liked it better when her hair was long." Leonard whispered back before the woman they were talking about cleared her throat.

Leonard turn giving the marketing director a cheapish look "Sorry." Gesturing for her to continue her briefing. Leonard thought back on the incident that happened about three months ago.

Howard paused the video game with his controller.

His three friends all complained at once.

"Hey!"

"Howard."

"Why did you do that?"

"Guys I want to show you something." He said excitedly.

"You are picking now to do it?" asked Sheldon his face a mask of irritation.

Howard waved his complain off with his hand before grabbing a small box inside the backpack he had on the floor between his legs.

"Check this out." he said before he opened the small box. there was a ring inside of it.

"I'm going to ask Bernie to marry me."

"Wow."

"Congrats!"

"Nice is in it?" He said proudly showing of the 4-carat diamond white gold ring.

"Aren't you rushing it a little? You guys just met six months ago." Said Sheldon.

"Well make sure you get an iron clad prenup, just in case she decides to cheat on you." Said Leonard off handily.

"Hey, don't project your insecurities into my relationship." Howard said getting irritated.

"I'm not projecting anything it's just…" said Leonard looking Howard up and down. "Haven't you wonder why Bernadette is so into you? I mean you are a little sleezy and always the last guy to get picked by women when we go out."

"Fuck you Leonard." Said Howard angrily.

"Hold on Howard! I think Leonard does have a point; you need to be cautious—" started Sheldon.

"I can't believe you guys have the nerve to try to give me advise while neither of you have had a relationship that as lasted more than a few days".

"Is not that-" Leonard started to say.

"You are just jealous that I found a girl that loves me and wants to do more than just sleep with me because her boyfriend can't get it up sometimes." He said.

Leonard give a half laugh, "why would I be jealous of you?"

"Guys this is getting out of hand." Said Raj.

"Because I found love." Howard stood up pointing and each one of his friends "You are jealous of what me and Bernie have. Raj can't get a girl to save his life, Sheldon can't keep one because he is such an asshole when it comes to women and you are pinning for a girl that uses you as a sex toy."

Sheldon raised an eyebrow at Howard.

Raj frowned.

Leonard looked shocked.

"Howard Leonard told you that in confidence that's not something that needs to be used in an argument. And I can keep a girl if I wanted one, as your friends we just want you to—" Sheldon told him.

"Shut up Sheldon, what do you know about being a friend?"

"Howard!" called Raj raising his voice a bit.

"Friends don't sleep with their best friend's mother."

"Wait…what?" asked Leonard.

"Shit!" said Raj face palming.

"Yes… he slept with your mother Leonard! How is that for friendship?" said Howard angrily trying to hurt Leonard.

"Sheldon?" asked Leonard a look of disbelief on his face.

"Leonard…it wasn't like that she came on to me and you know how I have always respected her work."

"So, you slept with her and you hide it from me?"

"-" Sheldon could not say anything he felt ashamed.

"You son of a bitch!" Leonard got up and punched Sheldon in the face.

"Hey that's not necessary." Raj said trying to diffuse the situation.

Sheldon punched Leonard back and a fight started between them.

Raj grabbed Sheldon while Howard grabbed Leonard and separated them.

"You Judas, how could you sleep with my mom? You're not my friend!" he half cried at Sheldon.

"Leonard I'm sorry-" said Sheldon before being cutoff.

"GET OUT! I want you all out of here."

"Hey I live here." said Sheldon.

"Sheldon if you don't leave, I swear I'm going to."

"Look let's go let him cool off some" said Howard grabbing Sheldon's arm.

"Don't touch me, this is all your fault." Sheldon told him yanking his arm from Howards grasp.

Howard and Sheldon left.

Raj was still looking at Leonard. "Did you know too?"

Raj gave him a pained nod, before saying "You know Howard tells me everything."

Leonard was pissed, how could his "friends" do this to him?

"If it makes you feel better Sheldon said he felt bad afterwards. He really did."

Leonard smirked in disbelieve.

"He wanted to tell you but we talked him out of it. Didn't know Howard was going to use it as a weapon when his panties got in a bunch."

Leonard rubbed his face with is left palm, he knew this was not just Sheldon's fault, his mom knew Sheldon was his friend and slept with him anyway.

"Leonard don't let this ruined your friendship with us. It happened over a year ago." Raj told him getting up to leave.

Sheldon sat in the passenger seat of Howards car. In front of Sheldon's house. The house that the Cooper family used when they visited from Texas. Sheldon liked to stay in the city but came here when he wanted to get away from the world and Leonard when he was in a pissy mood. Sheldon looked at Howard.

"You have a big mouth; do you know that?"

Howard kept his head looking forward his hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. But said nothing.

Sheldon got out of the car but surprisingly did not slam the door.

But Howard closed his eyes and jumped with surprise as if he had. After 10 seconds he whispered "Sorry" before driving off.

Leonard blinked out of his recollection.

"…Implementing marketing strategies. Our strategies are going to be centered on the core of MBI's business and what services and products they offer…"

Once every department brief their information Raj who was running the meeting opened the floor for questions. "At this time are there any question?"

The head of Human Resource Ms. Davis raised her hand before asking "During the sale negotiation, we promised MBI that we would not layoff anyone. Our restructuring and moving MBI to the CHWK campus is going to put about 14 people out of work since we have people to fill some of the positions. Public sentiment of MBI workers is good so far, but if we go back on our word to not let anyone go—" Ms. Davis was interrupted by the marketing consultant.

"Making profit should be our priority." Penny said bluntly to everyone in the room "Were not getting paid for our compassion."

"Ms. Davis, we will not go back on our word. On Monday have your department do analysis and assessment of our employ assets. we will not be laying off anyone from MBI." Said Sheldon finally joining the meeting.

"Penny please stick to marketing and let Ms. Davis worry about our personnel." He told her dismissingly "Also, MBI will no longer be called that, Science Research Labs or SRL for short will be this lab new designated name under the CHWK corps umbrella."

"Are there any question?" asked Sheldon is voice held a no-nonsense tone that had everyone scared to say anything.

"Then we can finish this on Monday. He said getting up when no one said anything.

I'm sure we can provide those 14 with some kind of work." Said Leonard also getting up.

Leonard was on his way out of the boardroom when he paused to speak to the marketing director.

"I didn't know you were so ruthless when it came to profits." He told Penny walking towards the lobby to the elevators.

"You make it sound like it's a bad thing." she told him frowning while walking next to him.

Leonard turned his head slightly as if to study her but said nothing and just gave her a smile. Knowing that Penny was good at her job. She was also quite ruthless when it came to making things happen. She was the second scariest executive in the company, Sheldon being the first.

Leonard stopped near the elevator smiling at the floor lobby assistant. Who waved and smiled at him while she spoke to someone on the phone. Her smiles disappearing when Penny gave her a dirty look. Leonard noticed the exchanged and stopped by her desk leaving Penny to walk to the elevator by herself.

The elevator door open and Kurt Penny's boyfriend stepped out.

"Hey Babe." He said

Penny looked at him "Kurt what are you doing here?" She asked surprised.

"I texted you that I was coming to take you out to lunch. Since practice ended early today" he said grabbing her by the waist before bringing her close to his body and giving her a heated kiss.

Leonard leaned on the desk watching their exchange locking eyes with Penny as she kissed Kurt. He smirked at her before turning his head to the assistant.

"So how have you been?" he asked the receptionist ignoring Penny and Kurt as they got in the elevator.

Leonard entered Sheldon's office after knocking

Sheldon didn't pay him any mind, too busy looking at a polaroid picture from Vegas.

Leonard cleared his throat making Sheldon jump in surprise before he quickly put the picture away underneath his laptop before saying "Don't you know how to knock?"

"I did, but you were too busy looking at that picture." Said Leonard walking up to Sheldon's desk, "What is it you were looking at?"

Sheldon frowned at him "I don't see what that's any of your business."

Leonard rolled his eyes "Fine." He said sitting down looking at Sheldon.

"What do you want Leonard?" asked Sheldon annoyed that he was interrupted from his mussing on his Vegas crush.

He frowned 'Crush…really Sheldon? She was just a one-night stand.'

Sheldon snorted at the word crush.

Leonard frowned at him wording what was wrong with Sheldon.

"Are you ok Sheldon?" he asked a little worried for his friend.

"YES!" he said a little too loudly before lowering his voice "Yes, I'm fine…"

"We good?" asked Leonard still a little unsure about their friendship.

Sheldon open the door and was surprise to see Leonard. He had been working from home for the last four days so that he didn't have to see him, Howard or Raj.

"Can I come in?" asked Leonard.

Sheldon nodded before walking away while Leonard closed the door behind him.

Sheldon turned around to face him and was floored by a punch to his face.

He touched his nose and saw blood on his hand.

He stayed on the floor.

Leonard went to the kitchen and came back with a rag and a frozen bag of spinach.

"Here." he said handing Sheldon the rag.

"We good?" he asked Leonard wiping his bloody nose.

"Yep." Said Leonard handing him the frozen bag of spinach. Looking at Sheldon's nose.

"It's not broken but you will have a black eye, the bag should help with the swelling."

"Yep."

"You have been acting funny since you got back from Vegas this morning."

"Have I?"

"Yes."

"You were not your normal annoying self in the meeting. Plus, I know that look of debauchery on your face, so what happen in Vegas?" Asked Leonard moving his eyebrows up and down in curiosity.

Sheldon narrowed his eyes at him before saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas Leonard."

Leonard picked up a paper clip and threw it at Sheldon before saying "You're such a dog."

Sheldon just smirked back at him.

Presentday

"Amy."

"Amy!"

Amy jump when she heard Rosslyn shout her name.

"Amy, what's wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost."

Amy didn't really know what to say 'She did see a ghost, a ghost that knew every inch of her body. A ghost that might be married with a kid.'

"Yeah, I'm fine…I just got a headache all of a sudden." She lied. "I must be catching something."

"There seem to be a bug going around, maybe you should go home." Said Rosslyn eagerly. "I'm sure that you don't want to be around."

"You are right I should go home. Can you take care of any fires for me?"

"Sure, it's not like we are doing much getting ready for the big move." Rosslyn told her.

"Yeah."

"So, who is she?" asked Missy looking at her brother.

Sheldon frowned at her "What?"

"You heard me Sheldon, who is she?" his sister insisted.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." He told her looking around the restaurant.

"Come on Sheldon I'm your twin, I always know when there is something up with you."

"There is nothing up with me." Sheldon told her trying not to look at his sister.

"Really? My horn dog of a brother has ignored every woman that has thrown themselves at him for the pass week I have been here." She told him. "And you have ignored that last two women who have flirted with you in the last 30 minutes, they are so scandalous. I could have been you wife." Sheldon look at his sister before shaking his head at her.

"And please don't give me that "I'm trying to be a good boy while my sister is around bull. That has never stopped you from sneaking off with some bimbo before."

"So again, who is she?"

Sheldon rolled his eyes at her but knew his sister was not going to leave him alone until he said something. Plus, he needed to confide in someone. Him and Missy where closed and share a lot of things with each other. Must be the twin link they shared.

"She's no one, just a one night stand I had in Vega's over a month ago."

Missy raised one delicate eyebrow at him. "A month? And she's no one?"

Sheldon nodded.

"But you have sat mopping all week? You have had a faraway look on your face since I got here."

"You are making more of this than it is missy." He told her getting annoyed.

"Wow… wait you are saying that you haven't slept with a woman since her?" Missy was curious about this woman that had her brother pinning for her.

Sheldon looked away from his sister a slight blush on his face.

"I'm not talking about this with you." He told her.

"Was she a call girl? Did she do some weird thing in the bedroom and turned you out?" Asked Missy knowing what buttons to push to get her brother to open up about this woman.

"Melissa!"

"Don't you Melissa me mister!"

One thing missy and Sheldon shared was their bluntness. His sister had no shame when it came to certain things.

She looked at her brother "Wait…Sheldon are you…did you fall in love with a prostitute?" she asked him giving him an innocent look.

"WHAT? No, she wasn't a prostitute what are you talking about?" he said through clenched teeth.

"Connect the dots Sheldon Vega's, a woman that sleeps with you the same day and apparently does such a good job has to be a prostitute Sheldon."

Sheldon was getting agitated "Stop, you don't know what you are talking about. You sound like mom.

"So, what's her name?"

"Idontknowhername." He said so quick and low that Missy missed what he said.

"What?"

"I don't know her name." he said looking around.

"You don't know her name? did she have a fake name?"

"No, I…we never told each other our names."

"Did you pay her? If you did, she's a prostitute Sheldon."

Amy had not sleep well last night. She was floored by the fact she slept with a married man.

Why was she surprised? He must have had a good laugh after she left his hotel room.

"Men are such pigs." She said out loud to herself.

"Good morning Amy." Said Rosslyn.

"Hey Ross how is it going?"

"Well, we finish packing our samples to take to the new facility yesterday. So, there is really not much to do."

"Oh, I put your new ID card on your desk along with new company policies for you to sign."

"Thanks!" Amy thanked her.

"Have you seen the new Tech & Science magazine?"

"No."

"Well I put a copy for you to read with the files I left on your desk."

"I want to read this because?"

"Our new boss has a four-page interview and they have a nice write up about our new research facility."

"Sheldon Cooper of course had nothing but good things to say about our research. He said how our lab is going to be the first of its kind."

Amy made an un-lady like snort.

Rosslyn looked at her and laugh "What?"

"Don't mind me, I didn't sleep well last night. I'm going to go look over files you left on my desk."

"Ok."

Amy walked into her office finding her desk filled with papers.

She picked up her new Science Research Labs ID and got busy with looking over new policies three hours later she was done reading and signing paperwork.

She picked up the Tech & Science magazine that Ross left her. Looking at the table of content she found the page that featured Dr Sheldon Cooper Tech Genius, rolling her eyes, she opened it to page five.

Amy blinked the hairs in the back of her neck roused. She came face to face with her Mr. Darcy better known has Dr Sheldon Cooper. He smirked back at her with does intense blue eyes that had made her feel like she was the only woman in the world.

"Hell."

Her tormentor and the man that had made her screamed in ecstasy were one and the same.

"No fucking way."
