Blooming Flowers

The moment Hermione came down for breakfast, looking very much not okay, and arms circling her stomach, both Voldemort and Severus were out of their chairs and over to her, Severus kneeling before his daughter while Voldemort hovered.

"What's wrong?" Severus asked, already checking her forehead for a fever, while his eyes looked her over. "Are you hurt?"Hermione held still, her expression scrunching in pain for a moment before she spoke, "I'm fine, erm, I think….I think I just got my period."

…...Oh.

"The sheets need to be changed," Hermione mumbled, cheeks flushed with embarrassment, "I uh, made a mess."

"We'll take care of it," Voldemort said simply.

Severus nodded, then asked, "You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but, are you're wearing a pad?"

Hermione nodded, there had been tampons too, but those seem a little intimidating considering where she had to put it. So she went with the pads, plus Auntie Narcissa had told her to use what she was comfortable with.

"And is it comfortable?" Her father then asked, "do you need another type?"

"No," Hermione shook her head, wincing when she felt another cramp, "I think I'm okay, but can I get some pain killers?"

"Of course."

Severus stood and while his lover took care of the bed-sheets, the Potion Master, after asking how bad the pain was, had his daughter sit down on the sofa while he went down to his lab to gather one of the many pain killer potions that were catered to women cycles. He grabbed the one for mild cramp pains and went back up.

"Here you go."

Hermione took the philter and downed the orange liquid, making a face at the taste.

"It'll take a minute, let me know if you need something stronger, alright?"

Snuggling up against her father, Hermione nodded, sighing happily at the hand rubbing up and down her shoulder in comfort.

"Do you need anything? Want me to call Narcissa?"

"Maybe later," Hermione yawned, feeling tired now that the cramps were stopping.

Auntie said that fatigue was also normal.

When Voldemort came back, he announced that everything had been changed, Hermione went back to bed, thanking both her parents.

"For once, I'm glad I let you give in to your paranoia."

Severus huffed and shoved a throw-pillow in the Dark Lord's face, though he can't deny that he's also a little happy about it. When Hermione had turned seven, Narcissa sat the two down and told them about periods. How some girls get their periods as early as eight, the symptoms that came with a period, why women had periods; and what do about it. Voldemort, who knew nothing, beyond that it was something women went through once a month, was a little horrified (because seriously, the uterus does what?!). Severus on the other hand, having to research as he would get orders for potions that dealt with cramps and other period symptoms. Was a little less horrified and more panicking to make sure he had everything ready for Hermione when the time came. Thus the bathroom cabinet being filled with boxes of pads and tampons of various types and overstocking his potion shelves.

"If she gets cravings, you know you're going to have to start sharing your secret stash."

".…..The things I do for love."

Voldemort laughed.

"I still want a threesome."

Severus flicked flour at the woman, who flicked some back, off to the side and filling in a pie crust. Anna blinked.

".….Is that a wizard thing?"

"No, it's a Nessie thing," Severus told her.

Narcissa looked like she was contemplating on whether or not she should dump the whole bowl of mix onto his head.

".…Oh." Anna said, then, "is it a Werewolf thing?"

Both Severus and Narcissa glanced at each other in thought, before shrugging, and Narcissa calling out to the others in Anne's living room, "Do Werewolves have threesomes?!"

"Only if it's with Severus!" came the reply back.

"Well, there's your answer," Narcissa told her as went back to stirring, smiling a little when there was the sound of someone getting a smack from the other room.

Anna hummed, "Well, that makes sense."

Severus's brows furrowed, "It does?"

Finally filling up the pie, the Muggle nodded, "You're a very attractive man."

"I am?"

"You have a lover." Narcissa pointed out, "I'm very serious about the threesome, I'm pretty sure Fenrir was at least half-serious."

"Need I remain you that all the people you have mentioned are insane."

"You keep saying that word, I don't think it means what you think it means."

After putting everything that needed to bake in the oven, the three go into the living room where the others were now playing a very intense game of poker. It looked like Jacob was winning.

"I can and will torture you," Voldemort said, he did have a good hand, however, Jacob has proven he'd always have a better one.

So threats were in order.

Gambling with Anne's cookies was a serious business after all.

Jacob snorted not looking away from his cards, "Severus likes me more than you."

"Everyone likes Severus more than you." Fenrir pointed out before folding.

"That is true." Alexander, Anne's mate, agreed.

Nuzzling Anne when she sat down in his lap, Anne nuzzled back before looking at his hand, "Fold love."

Alexander folded.

"I have mixed feelings about this conversation," Severus mumbled as he settled next to his lover.

Jacob won the pot.

~.~

"So, how do you think that will go?"

Narcissa looked up from her book to her husband, Lucius was looking at where the children were playing. They had been chasing each other around the garden, or rather the Dashing Knights Ron and Hermione had been chasing the Evil Dragon Harry around the garden while the Princesses Luna and Draco cheered them on. Now, Harry was laying in defeat, while the others celebrated. Draco was hugging Ron who's face was flushed, which she would have put down to playing if it wasn't for his expression, an expression she knew all too well. Then there was Hermione, whose face was a bright red but had a silly smile on her face after Luna had given a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Adorably."

Lucius grinned, "My thoughts exactly."

Both laughing softly, they went back to their lunch. About an hour later, the children were finished playing and were now having a picnic when the newspaper arrived.

"Ah, the paper." Narcissa took said paper, before offering the owl some water.

"It's late, has Milord mentioned anything about messing with the air-ways again?"

"Not that I know of. Oh! It's been published."

A NEW SCHOOL OPENS

IN

BRITAN!

To the surprise of everyone, a new magical school will be opening next year - Lily's School for the Magically Gifted.

The development and construction of the school was such a closely guarded secret that this reporter had wondered if there is something else to it, but one of the seven Founders of the school reassured that it was merely to ensure nothing went amiss throughout the process.

During the press conference that brought this exciting announcement, one of theFounding members answered questions on what to expect with the opening of the new school.

While not given the full roster of Professors who will be teaching the next generation of wizards and witches as we; as well as who the new Headmaster or Headmistress will be, we did get a few notable names. Lady Narcissa Malfoy will be Deputy Headmistress of the school. For Care of Magical Creatures, recently retired Newton Scamander; Potions, Perenelle Flamel wife of Nicolas Flamel; Defense Against the Dark Arts, Thomas Princefor the first year with Remus Lupin as the permanent professor after. There are also new classes - basic Latin and Wizard Studies.

The school is located in Stonehenge, which has been under the territory of the Druids.

Students will be admitted into the school at age ten. This is because of the two new classes aforementioned. When asked about them and why the school was taking in younger students than their soon to be rival school, we were given this answer.

"While Hogwarts's curriculum is impressive, it is lacking when it comes to certain elements. One being with the Muggle-born students, who are thrust into a world with little to no preparation, and expected to perform just as well as a child born into our world; who have the advantages because of it. Latin and Wizard Studies are just two of the many tools we will be using to ensure that all our future students will get the proper education they deserve and start on an equal footing."

Another new addition is the acceptance of Magical Beings such a Werewolves, Goblins, and Vampires.

When asked why, the Founder had this to say: "Everyone deserves an education, regardless of who they are, or where they came from."

When asked if they were worried about the backlash of allowing beings that many consider dangerous into a school full of children, their answer was "Change is always going to be met with resistance, but it also has its allies. We have made our intentions clear on the subject. Anyone with magic who is willing to learn will be welcome to our school. And while we have seen a drop in attendance letters, it only marginal. For those who are worried, we have staff trained to handle these kinds of situations, to ensure a safe environment for all."

This school will most certainly be different from Hogwarts, and with the roster of Professors, we know of, perhaps even better.

The final question was asked about the name of the school. Why Lily?

This was the answer: "The name Lily is in honor of the woman who gave one person the greatest gift mankind can be given."

The article goes on to explain about an open house, the date, etc. Closing the paper Narcissa looked at her husband who had finished reading his copy.

".…How do you think this will go?"

"Hilarious."

Lucius's smile is positively wicked, "My thoughts exactly."
