V1 E16 – Discussion of discoveries

In a secure location, somewhere in Vale.

"I appreciate how cooperative your Matoran and fellow Turaga have been these past few days," Ironwood said to the Turaga Vakama as the pair strolled down the hallway, James turning his head to the window as he saw his men and the Matoran working side by side. Teaching each other about their respective technology and equipment.

"Though I believe it best we discuss the matter at hand. The Toa's new fighting techniques." Answered the fire Turaga.

"You'd be correct Vakama, are the other Turaga available to discuss this as well?" James asked.

"Most certainly, I will gather them at once." Vakama replied. Heading off to collect the other five elders. A few moments later, they were all gathered with Ozpin and Ironwood.

"From what we've gathered, it seems that each of them has mastered a certain type of hand-to-hand fighting styles. Their technique's to be modelled on forms of martial arts. What our people refer to as Kung Fu." Ozpin said.

"I see." Vakama answered him, he knew the Toa were skilled combatants but had never used any hand to hand techniques in battle before.

"Were you or any of your fellow Turaga aware of your warriors being able to fight with techniques such as these?" Professor Ozpin asked.

"I'm afraid not Professor, we'd only seen the Toa fighting using their respective weaponry. Perhaps these Kung Fu forms you've observed in them is a by-product of their new bodies.

A built-in survival mechanism to help them adapt to the new environment." Replied the Turaga of Fire.

"I see, it is a common trait that when a species enters an unfamiliar setting, they'll adopt new behavioural techniques. Maybe this is what we are seeing with your Toa?" Ironwood spoke up. His tone, surprisingly humble for a man of his stature.

"It is an option we certainly shouldn't rule out in that case." Nokama commented, she had been following the updates on the Toa's time at the school since their arrival and had been relaying it back to the other Turaga.

"We'll monitor the development of their fighting styles over time. For now, there is another matter arising which should be discussed immediately." Ironwood entered conversation once more.

"That being?" Vakama asked

"Well, you and your people will need a place to stay. After all it'd be wrong to keep your couped up down here like animals." The General said to him

"While I can agree with you on that thought, the question of where we can lay low is certainly a crucial factor in this matter," Nokama replied to James.

"I've been thinking about that. What you need is somewhere safe and secure, but also off the grid. Thus, ensuring you aren't easily discovered by Grimm or outside forces. Hence why you should see this." Ironwood said, at which point one of his soldiers walked in on cue with an absurdly large map. Which was handed to James before he placed it on their coffee table, gently the atlas general rolled out said map with delicate hand movements. Once in full display, it was revealed to be a decent-sized island in the middle with six other dwarf ones at each corner.

"Located just off the west coast of Sanus, is a batch of islands called the seven diamonds. The large centre island is Okoto, with these smaller landmasses that separated from it not long after the main island broke off from the continent of Sanus. These should be large enough to accommodate your villagers and their equipment, I'm sure setting up living quarters on them will be easy enough once you've gotten the lay of the land." Professor Ozpin said to the six elders, who all leaned over and took turns to inspect this map. Each taking turns to discuss the location, it certainly appeared that these six miniature landmasses around Okoto looked like a secure spot for them. Amongst the conversation, soft clicking and whistling noises coming from the Ko-Koro's ice Turaga as he spoke with the other five.

Eventually, the group finished consulting and turned back to the Professor and General.

"It is reassuring to see you are taking proper precautions for our safety, though Turaga Nuju couldn't help but notice something unique about this Okoto…" Onewa trailed off as he pointed a finger at the central island.

"Which is?" Ironwood asked, his left eyebrow raised.

It appears to have, elemental terrain." The Turaga of Stone answered, noting how each part of this island appeared to correspond to a certain natural element. Much like how each of the Toa embodied their respective elemental powers. But also how their old home Mata Nui was distinguished by the elemental regions each of them lived in.

"Curious. Well, I suppose a further investigation into the island's environment could determine if resources from it can be harvested. They might prove beneficial to your wellbeing." Professor Ozpin commented, stroking his chin gently.

"Part of this doesn't make sense to me, why would an island that resembles the one they came from exist in our world. Did someone else know that the Toa would come here, if so then it can't just be a mere coincidence? I must consult with that old friend of mine on this, perhaps he sees something I've overlooked." Ozpin thought, his mind processing Turaga Onewa's last comment.

"We will make essential preparation to move to this location General." Nokama said to the men.

"We'll help you however we can Nokama," Ironwood replied.

Meanwhile in the hangar, or what at least resembled a hangar.

"This machine is…very impressive looking Nuparu." Penny Polendina

"We call it the Boxor, back on our island home these babies served us well against the Bohrok hordes that overran the island. The Bohrok were many, but so were we and the Boxors helped us drive them back.

"How difficult are they to pilot? She looked down at the Onu-Matoran

"Meh they ain't too challenging, little cumbersome to fit into but once you've spent some time mastering the basic defence mechanisms you can't go wrong with it." He responded.

"May I?" The synthetic girl asked him, to which the Onu-Matoran nodded.

It took Penny a few seconds, but she eventually found herself sitting comfortably in the Boxor's pilot seat. Getting to grips with the controls, this machine was certainly primitive. But in a good way. The way it moved and how its arms appeared to swing in a hook punch was efficient. Reminiscent of the early Atlesian Paladin prototypes she had seen being built, a perk of working closely with the Atlas Military. Slowly she manoeuvred the right and left gear sticks, watching the Boxor's arms lurched forward and backwards, the way they moved was not graceful but still efficient enough to serve an offensive purpose.

"I could certainly get used to this." She smiled back at Nuparu, to which he gave her a thumbs-up of reassurance.

"Glad I could get you familiar with operating the machine, we got plenty of other fancy gear where that comes from. If you'd like to see it?" The Onu-Matoran responded.

"I'd most certainly like to. Thank you, my friend," Penny answered with a gleeful smile.

The next day, at Beacon.

The Toa were spending this day getting to socialize with both students and teachers alike. Splitting up across the campus and area around the school, participating in various activities. Tahu and Lewa had gone off with Yang into the Emerald Forest, Team CFVY tagging along. Kopaka and Takanuva had joined Blake within Beacon's Library for book reading while Pohatu and Onua found themselves in a cookery lesson with Ren and Nora. This also gave Ruby and Weiss free time to build their own team working skills.

Gali on the other hand had decided to meditate on the roof of her dorm. This was also the same roof Jaune and Pyrrha used for their combat training, which they didn't mind. Taking the time to figure out what her unique hand to hand combat system could take the form of. Testing the flow of water across her body, it appeared that a style of shadowboxing was the technique she was finding most akin to her elemental power. Attacks being a mix of kicks that hit with the power of a Tsunami, blended with gentle but fast hand movements that allowed her to grapple and lunge at opponents. As she became more comfortable with these new fighting methods, the tattoos across her face emitted the glow of her blue Aura. As if it was growing in power rather than depleting when physically exerting herself. Perhaps her power over water boosted the strength of her aura. Or was her Aura being converted into kinetic energy through the fighting techniques she was creating. To be as mighty as thunderous tidal waves yet delicate like the streams descending a mountain.

"Hey, Gali um-" The voice of Jaune Arc, JNPR's leader spoke from behind her.

"Greetings Mr Arc, something you would like to talk about?" The water Toa turned to him with the gentle grace of a miniature stream.

"I, don't know if your busy or not but…could we discuss leadership?" The young arc boy asked her.

"What's on your mind?" Gali sat down ask she responded.

"Well…sometimes I unintentionally end up doubting my place as a leader. My partner Pyrrha has helped me develop my combat skills since I got here. She sees a lot of potential in me and don't want her to feel like that faith is being misplaced." Jaune spoke with a nervousness trailing within his tone.

"Have you spoken to Miss Nikos about your inner doubts?" the water Toa looked at him

"Guess a part of me wants to, but I'm worried it'll sound like an excuse being played on a broken record." He replied, head drooping downwards in anxiousness. Then, his shoulder felt the soft and cool touch of the water Toa's hand.

"You shouldn't put yourself down just because you can't see yourself as a leader or because you believe that being the leader of a team should be a solo responsibility," Gali said to Jaune.

"I know, it's just that…I don't want to blow my chance to prove I can be more than what I make myself out to be. When people look at me, they see nothing but a kid who looks too small for his boots. Makes me anxious. When I look at you and the rest of your team, it's inspiring to see so many different minds working together." The blonde boy replied politely, trying to sound upbeat even though a part of him still felt very dejected inside.

"Allow me to put it to you this way my friend, a good team of warriors is much like a musical band. They are in rhythm with each other's thoughts, musical instrument tempos and so on. When we started as a team, we weren't exactly what you'd call a merry band. Each of us had to tackle teething problems, some could be tackled on their own relatively easily while many others got resolved by talking about it together. Just as any family would." She turned her calm gaze to him as she spoke.

"Heh, so Nora was right about you about you guys being a large family then," Jaune replied, the glum facial expression starting to fade but lingering as any smell of dirty water would.

"It is part of what's kept us alive in dangerous times. You'll learn that yourself when you graduate from this academy. The leader is only as strong as the rest of his team and vice versa. When you fight, you fight as one. For there is strength in your unity, thus giving you the strength to carry out the duty of a huntsman and face your destiny together. That's why a team is a family in a way." Gali finished.

Mr Arc smiled back at the Toa. This whole conversation had been an insightful one alright. The way this Toa spoke just made everything seem so…peaceful. The weighted doubts that hung in his mind seemed to have just receded like a morning tide. Knowing that with guidance from Gali as well as that from the other Toa he'd be in good hands. And if he was, the rest of his team would be as well.

Heading back to his dorm, Jaune could see Pyrrha napping. Nudging her shoulder, she woke with a yawn more akin to an elegant opera singer's voice rather than a teenager waking from their slumber.

"Hey um, I was wondering if we could talk about me as the team leader." He said to her, a bright and beaming smile on his face. Which made Miss Nikos feel even more eager to talk with him.

Elsewhere, in the Emerald Forest.

Tahu, Yang and Lewa had gone ahead of Team CFVY. Their destination was a clearing with a waterfall leading onto a river that travelled to the sea. Taking a page out of the air Toa's books, Yang swung between the branches of the Forever Fall's trees. Using a mix of blasts from her Ember Celica to propel herself upwards and swing herself from high branches before jumping back down on the lower branch canopy of the treeline. Careful not to jump one inch too hard onto the next tree and break the rhythm.

"Yeehaw!" She yelled aloud, embracing the thrill of the experience of weaving, and darting between the trees. The vine-swinging method of travel gave her a good workout and trained her reflexes and reaction times which would need to be on full alert in combat situations.

Eventually, she reached the clearing and landed on the rocks beside Tahu who was watching Lewa by the water's edge.

"What took you so long?" the firespitter asked the blonde.

"Decided I'd try some of that vine swinging Lewa indulges in. Not too bad at it myself ya know." She perked up.

She saw the air Toa coiled up by the river, his posture resembling a house cat ready to pounce.

"What are you doing Lewa?" The feminine blonde inquired curiously as she watched Le-Koro's ariel Toa monitored the waterline.

"Fishing." He replied

"Fishing? But don't you need a rod?" Yang asked, her expression perplexed

"No need for a rod, when you have enhanced hearing." The air Toa replied, twitching his cat ears.

"Right." She retorted.

"Best keep those voices down now, or my quarry will hear the disturbance and suspect a predator." The Toa of air whispered, before returning his gaze downward.

Lewa leaned close to the river, eyes trained on the bodies moving under the water while his ears followed the sounds of fins vibrating against the river's current. Seconds passed and still, he waited. Then, Lewa's eyes dilated, and he struck. Water splashed suddenly and his head dove headfirst into the river. Emerging a second later with not just one, but two fish in between his teeth. The air Toa then tossed one of them to Tahu who caught it with ease.

"Nice catch." Miss Xiao Long answered.

"You should try one, taste pretty good after being warmed up." Said Tahu.

"Uh, are you sure that's safe to-, "Yang asked the fiery Toa, but seconds before she could finish Tahu's whole body lit up in a blaze of glory and thoroughly cooked that fish he was holding instantly

"It is now. Though my cooking techniques still needs a little refining." The fire Toa grinned. Handing the fish to Yang who initially was sceptical about eating something they had just fished out of a river.

"Can't say no to a free meal I suppose." Miss Xiao long replied and took a chunk out of the cooked catch.

"Mmmm, it's a little crispy on the edges but not too bad actually." The flammable blonde responded after taking her first bite.

"You want some yourself?" Yang said, offering the other half of the fried fish the fire Toa.

"I had one before you got here. That one is on me." Tahu replied.

"Each to their own I guess." She responded, finishing what remained.

As Lewa finished his catch, the fish in the water beneath suddenly scattered in an instant. As if sensing a predator approaching. But what could it be Lewa thought to himself, when he lifted his head he spotted what spooked the shoal, it was a large Grimm lurking in the bushes behind his friends and it had the look of hunger in what appeared to be feline eyes that mimicked his own.

"Yang, Tahu, no sudden moves."

"Why?" Tahu retorted.

"Just do as I say and don't move." His aerial brother demanded as he had identified the danger now approaching them.

From behind the duo, Lewa's eyes caught the outline of a cougar-like Grimm as big as a single-decker bus. Crawling slowly towards them. It had short, sabre-teeth fangs at the front of its muscular jaws with a mix of molars and premolars at the back If the mouth of that Kane-Ra they had encountered in the emerald forest was a ghastly meat tenderizer, then this creature's teeth were perfect for crushing skulls like watermelons. A distinct feature of the monster was that the teeth seemed to be dyed red. The Grimm circled the blonde and fire Toa, sniffing the air for any odours that could be a potential target, making them both nervous with fear. While Tahu was able to hold himself together to an extent, Yang was starting to drown in a cold sweat, terrified that she couldn't even throw a single hand against this monster without endangering herself or her friend. Had Ruby or any of her teammates been here, they might have all ended up in the belly of the beast already. Miss Xiao Long wanted to punch this Grimm so badly, but even then, it might only end with her getting chomped in two. Which made this whole experience more unsettling than it already was.

"Lewa, better do something fast." The fire Toa whispered over to him from across the stream.

The Toa of air slowly combined his katanas into their bow form and aimed it at the Grimm. Lining the bow up to hit the creature directly in the eye.

"Take the shot brother," Tahu whispered.

"I will, just keep still. Keep. Very. Still." Lewa muttered back at him, waiting patiently to make his shot count. Either he hit the creature directly or fired the arrow off in another direction to distract it. Seconds ticked away and the tension in his face was starting to show, pupils, dilated and poised like a spring ready to bounce. He had the creature in his sights, but part of his instinct was hesitating. This was his chance to strike a blow at the beast and save his friends. But why couldn't he pull himself to take the shot, he got his answer in the form of a telepathic message.

"Lewa, don't shoot." The voice came into his head before he could launch his arrow, it was Fox Alistair of Team CFVY.

"Fox, is that you?" Lewa answered, confused as to why he was hearing the student's voice inside his head.

"Yes. My semblance allows me to communicate with you telepathically. Now listen, whatever you don't shoot that Grimm." The member of CFVY said to Lewa.

"It could pounce on our friends at any second, I take this shot now or our friends are a goner." The air Toa responded

"I think its vision is based on movement, won't be able to spot you if you all stay still. The moment you fire that arrow it'll look for a target. Just trust me."

Following Fox's advice, Lewa like Yang and Tahu held himself still. Not wanting to move even a single fibre of his body and bow still drawn at the ready.

The Grimm Feline's eyes caught the glint of silver from the arrow's tip and made its way towards the air Toa, trying to pick up the source of that light that had caught its field of vision. Know his fate was in the hands of the gods, Lewa tried to remain calm as the creature sniffed the ground around him for anything that might resemble a scent. Saliva spilt from its jaws while orange eyes took in any details that could identify a target.

Time passed by and still, this creature was convinced that there was something in its vicinity, yet it could not pin down a location. However, there was not a visual clue insight that could confirm the presence of potential prey. At this point, both Yang and the Toa had slowed their breathing to a crawl just to ensure not a hint of their presence could be detected.

With nothing that could be registered as prey appearing in scent or visual form, the hungry cat Grimm eventually gave up and strolled back the way it came. Once it had departed, the group let out the most immense of sighs. Lewa finally loosening the tight grip he held both arrow and bow in, hands roasted with sweat. He looked down to see the fish gradually remerging from the sand, rocks and cervices in the water. Meaning the coast was clear.

"You guys alright?' the voice of Coco Adel called out from the forest.

"Yeah, I think we are fine now, thanks for saving us with that smart-plan." Lewa replied.

"Oh don't thank me. It was all Fox." She said to the air Toa, just as Fox, Velvet and Yatsu appeared over the rock formation.

"Guess there's still much I can quick-learn from all of you." Lewa replied.

"Talk about a close call." Tahu inserted into the conversation.

"Any of you hurt?" Velvet asked.

"Not a scratch on any of us, but my nerves are gonna need a full week to recover after standing still for that long." The voice of the blonde brawler spoke up, shaking off stiffness from from those tense few minutes. Her voice slightly uneasy, something not even Ruby had heard in her.

"What was that thing?" Yang asked the master of fire.

"That Miss Xiao long, was a Muaka tiger." The fire Toa answered her question

A couple of minutes later, the group returned to Beacon at sunset was taking place. While Yang got her team and the other Toa up to speed on the encounter, Tahu was reporting to Qrow and Ozpin directly.

"A Muaka?" Beacon's headmaster enquired.

"I'm sure that's what it was. Think of it like a big cat." The master of fire relayed.

"Like a Puma?" Branwen asked him

"You could say that I suppose," Tahu commented back.

"Tahu reported the creature's vision is based on movement. It was how they manage to avoid detection by remaining motionless." Ozpin said to them.

"That is correct, had we not held still we'd be cat food by now." Tahu replied, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Giving this number of new Grimm raising heads in Vale. I feel that we should discuss how best to manage them." Said the Toa of Fire

"Anything specific in mind?" Qrow asked him

"If we're going to handle this properly, it'd be best to consult with both ironwood and the council on this. From what you told us, that thing sounds like a proper hunter. I mean I've encountered only a few smart Grimm in my lifetime…but nothing like what you've described with the Muaka." Ozpin said to Tahu.

"I mean it is likely that the beast had been watching us from afar for a good bit before trying to make a meal out of me and Yang." Answered the fire Toa

"Best we label the Muaka as a high-level threat say they one tries to move closer to campus grounds."

"Agreed, I'll also discuss a course of action with my fellow Toa on defensive measures against them and other Rahi Grimm we've come across." Said the Fire Toa, who began making his way out of the room.

"My thoughts exactly. Though before you leave…there is something I would like to discuss with you both?" Ozpin called to Tahu, he turned around in response.

"That being?" Tahu enquired.

"Since being a huntsman is about building working relationships, it means being with those who won't always be on your teams. Having the chance to work with new faces means learning tolerance and acceptance. So, with that in mind, I would like the two of you to spend some time working together."

"Woah, just hold on a minute. Qrow and I might be on good terms but that does not mean we are buddy cops. We might work well as a unit in the field but we ain't that compatible."

"Meaning what exactly?" Branwen spoke up, unimpressed by the Toa's comment.

"I'm not saying fire and alcohol can't be mixed effectively…but it might cause a little collateral damage in the process. I've read about what happened that one time when a bunch of drunk students started a bonfire not far from here and nearly burned down half of the emerald forest." Tahu pointed out.

"Not this again." Qrow thought to himself, glaring at Tahu in the process. He didn't like it when folk prodded at his drinking habits. The days and nights of downing booze weren't just for enjoyment, he did it to nullify the pains of his past. A reminder of mistakes that had cost lives, lives that were close to him.

"Sorry, I…didn't mean it that way," Tahu replied, his head tilted downwards having just embarrassed his fellow huntsman.

"Putting that aside, I think that being partners for a while would a good thing for both of you. Considering how well you protected each other against the manas. Not to mention it would be nice for Qrow's nieces to see him spending time with people other than myself and their father. It would help them worry about him a little less. You two have shown to be an efficient team under pressure and I see much potential in this opportunity." Professor Ozpin responded.

Tahu and Qrow exchanged looks, both uncertain about how to respond to the other.

"Ugh, fine. If you insist." Tahu spoke up, to which Beacon's Headmaster responded with a smile. Something that even Qrow had rarely seen him do. With no other words to say. The three men nodded and closed the conversation. Qrow and Tahu headed for the elevator, the fire Toa giving Oz one last look before the doors closed.

"Think you could be right about this partnership not working out," Branwen said to the leader of the Toa Nuva as the elevator descended.

"So why didn't you say something beforehand?" Tahu grumbled to him, clearly seeing that the huntsman was getting a level of amusement out of this conversation.

"Well because part of me wants to see how well this goes, or if it just crashes and burns." Qrow smirked back.

"You're a funny guy you know that?" The fiery Toa answered. To which the drunken huntsman smirked back at him. Eventually, the elevator reached its stop-off point and exited the lift. Where Team RWBY stood.

"So how'd it go?" Yang asked the duo.

"Well given the circumstances of our encounter and the hunting techniques this Grimm was employing; discussions will be taking place on how best to handle them and any future incursions should they try and attack us or-" Tahu then got cut off by Branwen.

"Tahu and I have officially been made partners too." Qrow barked out.

"Was about to tell them that," Tahu grumbled.

"Oh, so you're buddy cops now eh?" Yang said, following up with a light chuckle.

"This is not gonna be like one of those buddy cop movies." The fire Toa remarked, grumpy but trying to retain composure.

"But we're gonna be working together all the same, for now at least." Branwen answered.

"Given how well the two of you fight together under life and death circumstances, this might be something which could benefit both of you. If that means anything." Miss Schnee said to them.

"Thanks for some encouragement little ice queen." Qrow said to the Heiress.

"You know I don't like it when people call me back." She replied with glaring eyes.

"Moving on from there, if you girls are taking a crack at Torchwick we want in." Tahu said, hoping to brighten up the sour note Qrow's comment had left.

"Well I suppose-" Ruby started, before Blake spoke up

"The way I see it, the more people we have investigating Roman's operation the better," The Faunus girl answered.

Tahu and Qrow nodded at the Faunus's response.

"The more the merrier I guess." The fire Toa commented.

"Well, we best get back to our dorms. See you both tomorrow." Ruby said to the new huntsman duo.

"Same to you kiddo," Qrow said back, fist-bumping Ruby which Tahu couldn't help but smile at. It showed him that their bond was very close, but also how he and Branwen would have to ensure their partnership would have to be much the same if it was to work out.

"Thanks for bringing her sis back safely Firespitter." The huntsman said to his new partner.

"Anytime. So, you uh…wanna go get a drink?" Tahu asked.

"Sure." Branwen smiled back at him. The duo then headed off into Vale to pass remainder of the night away.

Meanwhile, inside the dorm occupied by Kopaka, Lewa and Gali.

The ice Toa sat hunched over their room desk while lewa napped, While Gali was reading over a short book on the properties of dust and its usage. Kopaka had been working on sketches with notes on all the Rahi Grimm they had battled since arriving on Remnant. His exploits in Beacon's library had given him much knowledge and inspiration. By cataloguing the beasts they had faced in this notebook it'd help them create battle plans to deal with the monsters should they breach the city of Vale. He'd become so engrossed in this that he didn't notice that their dorm's door was open just by the smallest margin.

He heard the door's signature creek as it was opened by whoever was entering the room. Turning his head, the ice Toa saw Weiss standing before him. She

"Miss Schnee." He asked.

"Kopaka, hope I'm not disturbing you. Weiss smiled at the ice Toa.

"Why of course not. Please come in." Kopaka commented, to which she sat beside him

"Afternoon Gali."

"Good to see you Weiss, how was class?"

"Oh it went

"What's that?" The SDC Heiress found her eyes swiftly drawn to what appeared to be drawings resembling the Manas, Tarakava and Kane-Ra.

"I've been making a log of all the Rahi Grimm we've faced these past few days. Helps to keep the mind sharp, as well as the body. If you are to battle an enemy, you've got to understand their tactics. The way they move, how they sound, how they hunt and how they eat. If they eat at all that is." He replied.

"You drew all of these?" Miss Schnee asked to which Kopaka responded with a nodding yes.

"I've done sketches for the Tarakava, Kane-Ra and the Manas Tahu and Qrow crossed paths with so far. I plan to take them to Ozpin and Co. once they've all been logged. All of them," He said to Weiss.

"You think more species are still out there?" She asked Kopaka.

"Can't be too careful in my book, Rahi always make themselves known when you least expect it. Almost all the ones we faced on Mata Nui were masters of ambush. Striking from the shadows like Makuta himself." He commented, writing down how the Nui-Rama that paid the school a visit only a few days ago hunted in squadrons.

"Mind if I help?" Miss Schnee asked him, Kopaka paused to think about her question. Before handing her the art book and the pencil set.

"Are you sure?"

"Well, Tahu and co. had a run in with what they called a Muaka. Said it was like the Rahi version of a big cat. Perhaps I can put a face to his name?" She said, turning to a blank page in the book.

"A Muaka, that was one of the first Rahi I ever encountered back on Mata Nui. Aggressive beasts, not to mention their breath reeks of everything they eat." The Ice Toa said to Miss Schnee

"Sounds incredibly charming, not. Anyhow, shall I start sketch work?" Weiss enquired.

"Knock yourself out." He smiled back at her, she proceeded to sit beside him and began sketching the Muaka based on the description Yang and Tahu had provided earlier.

Meanwhile, in the Emerald Forest.

The Ursa's body slammed against the tree, one of its paws now hanging limp as it got back up and hobbled off. Growls from the Muaka, which Tahu and co. had encountered earlier rumbled through the forest, it had made the message clear to the other Grimm. They no longer ruled the roost in The Emerald Forest. From the right, a second Mauka emerged from the bushes and 3 more followed suit, the pack then ran off into the night.
