This chapter...took me...three months to finish...and when it was FINALLY complete...it was erased...so I had to not so much as rush to get it done but I wanted to finish it so I can work on the next chapter. It's not exactly as it was originally written the first time but I do like how it turned out. Please, enjoy.
"You want me to have what?" Kara stared into the room she and Baron were standing before, seeing nothing but piles and piles of weapons.
"A weapon. An object to use to-"
"I know what a weapon is; I use to have one, remember?"
"Ah, yes, that...stick of yours." Baron sneered with an eye roll.
Kara narrowed her eyes at him only to lower them in thought; with her body the way it was now and the recent threats she encountered..a measly staff wasn't going to cut it, not with her level of training anyways. She stepped inside going through each pile but not finding anything to her tastes, glancing at a purple staff with a sharp, pointed end and a curved, axe like blade underneath it, and a chain and spiked ball on the other end but it had too many pointed ends for her taste, knowing she'd more than likely hurt herself first than her enemies.
Picking up a pair of gloves with a raised brow going to question why there was weight to them when she suddenly heard her name.
"Kara." A female's voice called to her.
She straightened up while turning her head here and there wondering who was calling her. She blinked when images of a girl who looked to be a year or two older than her with long, flowing, red, curly hair wearing dented, medieval armor and a long, wavy, blue cape was smiling at her.
"I've been waitin' for ye, Kara." It continued she now walking towards the end of the room, almost trance like as if someone was guiding her.
Stopping in front of another pile her eyes landed on a sword, the sheathe silver with a hint of red when light hit it at a certain angle, two dragon heads intertwined where the blade and the hilt connect, worn down black leather covering the hilt. The image became still now able to get a better view of the girl that was standing before her with her hand extended."Grab the sword, Kara, an let us be bonded for life."
She bent down and picked up the sword a gasp escaping her lips feeling a gust of wind pass through her that came with an immense yet warm pressure. In her mind the same girl was kneeled before her, her head down. "Kara Sharper. Do ye accept me as your guardian an ye as ma master from now til ye part this world?" The girl lifted her head revealing freckled cheeks that brought out her blue eyes...her bangs blew out of her face showing her right eye to be green and a scar from her cheek down to her upper lip, this making Kara's eyes wide in surprise. "If so, then release the sword from it's scabbard."
Kara gulped but she couldn't hide the crooked smile on her face, too many emotions going through her mind, yet beneath them all there was a sense of calm within her, as if she knew this spirit before her. She opened her mouth to give a response when suddenly somethingS hit her back not only pushing her forward but the shock of the surprised contact having her drop the sword that fell back on to the pile with a loud clunk, slide down the back side and into a garbage shoot, the sword screaming, "Pesky, little, gremliiiiinns!" all the way down til no sound was heard.
Frozen in place, her fingers and eye twitching; the talking sword was now forever gone. Muninn and Huginn flew in her view looking at her.
"Sooooo, did you find a weapon yet?" Huginn asked.
"Ooooh...was that it?" Muninn pointed where the sword had fallen through the shoot, hearing it's last clang as it made contact with something then silence. He hissed awkwardly while rubbing the back of his head. "Sorry about that. We just got excited to see what you picked."
Kara stared at them in silence, pondering the best way to deal with them before sighing loudly and picking up a scythe. She looked it over with little interest and shrugged. "I'll take this." She turned around only to let out a startled noise when Baron was right in front of her.
He looked at her then the weapon. "Good, let us begin training."
"Now?" She asked with blinking eyes.
"Correct." His arms glew already having three pods between his fingers before throwing them on the ground, large vines sprouting out and flying at her.
"Woah!" She shouted, raising her weapon in defense.
A battered and bruised Kara was on the ground, panting heavily, while leaning against her weapon, "Thr...three...weeks...We-'ve been at this...for..three weeks...straight!"
"And yet you've only slightly improved." He stared down at her, his eyes boring into hers unrelenting and cold til he turned and began to walk away.
She watched his retreating figure slowly get smaller, her anger rising with each step he took. Uneven breathing escaped through gritted teeth as she stood to her feet, her wings fluttering rapidly and bending her knees before pushing off the ground and flying towards him with her weapon raised to strike til the sound of metal colliding with a hardened force crossed her ears. She gasped when Baron blocked her attack without even looking at her, "Wanting more, I see, very well." He moved his head slightly, his eye on her, then turned around slashing his weapon forcing her backwards. Blocking his onslaught of attacks while flying backwards in a zigzag motion to evade his vines he wasn't giving her time to retaliate shouting orders at her on what to do but she was too focused on not getting hit. Using the techniques that Donatello-images of his face came to her mind distracting her to the point of lowering her guard some til she snapped back to the present by Baron's battlecry in time to see his saber like weapon coming down at her. With widened eyes she leaned back as far as she could though the tip of the blade managed to scratch her across the sternum; deep enough to cause minor bleeding. The pain and tiredness in her body was adding to her rage; the cut being the final straw. With a shout she raised her weapon and began to counter Baron, now switching to defense, but he was a second too late and she finally hit him, sending him flying towards the wall only for his vines to wrap around him to take the damage for him.
Before he could get up she was on him with her blade at his neck, the light behind her illuminating her figure and her eyes glowing ominously. "No more. I need a break."
"Not bad."He muttered while rubbing at his bruise and blinked in surprise when she extended her hand to him and hesitated for a moment til he accepted and was pulled to his feet, she stumbling from his height and weight, "And yet you still sound disappointed." She sighed while crossing her lower arms, dragging her weapon behind as she went to walk away and take a three hour shower and two day bath.
"Wait, perhaps there is someone who can help us make you stronger." He placed his hand on her shoulder to stop her.
"Who? Are they a friend?" She looked up at him with a raised brow.
"No. Come." He walked away, she soon following behind him.
The screams of the four brothers were drowned out by the screams of people fleeing the Nature Biodome, the brothers rolling and landing in a circle.
"Ok. So, that, did not go as planned." Raph gave them a weak smile and light shrug.
"Maybe not the result you wanted but the result I expected. Ow." Donnie muttered the last part while he and his brothers picked themselves up unaware of the two glowing eyes watching them.
"We're getting our butts kicked on an everything level." Raph said mostly to himself.
"We gotta do something to help; they are scaring everyone out of the Biodome and you know what a fan I am of experiential learning."
A third pair of eyes was watching in the shadows not too far from them, a small smile appearing on their face, "You are a fan of learning in general, Donatello." Kara blinked, shaking her head to focus on the task at hand, her eyes scanning the area, "Where are you..."
"Come on, Raph, think of something useful." Raph gave his forehead a two fingered tap only for Leo to come up next to him, "I'm sorry, did you just say that out loud?"
Mikey popped up next, sniffing the air, "Do you smell that?"
When his brothers sniffed the air the two shadows jumped out of the bushes with an, "Ah-ha!" the others scattering while Donnie screams, "Duck!"
"More like crab." Mikey responded unaware of the dangers, clicking the claw nonchalant, til they were right on top of him, moving out of the way at the last second with a shout of alarm.
"Hohohoho! Step one of our plan: disrupt a school field trip." Figure one announced.
"Step two: Strike a pose!" Figure two added til they revealed themselves to be bulky crab mutants, one with seaweed like hair and the other bald with their eyes closed.
Kara's eyes widened with a smile when her targets were spotted, "There you are." She stood up and held out her lower right arm, wearing a silver, chainlink glove that was connected to the middle finger only, that had a dangling keychain of a scythe, with a large gem in the middle that began to glow but stopped when she saw Leonardo creating a blue portal with his sword, "What? He has a magical weapon?...Do they all have one?" She lowered her eyes in thought remembering the time when they first met and seeing Raphael's glowing fists only for her question to be answered when one by one the turtles attacked, showing their weapons to her and beaten themselves up with said weapons; except for Donatello, who immediately set his weapon down and joined the pile of his brothers.
Figuring this was a good time to intervene she held out her arm again creating a portal of her own that appeared between the two groups and calmly stepped through, "Greetings, gentleman." She bent her upper body in a bow, the portal disappearing. "You have been invited to a gathering by my master, Baron Draxum, that I think would pique your interest nicely." She straightened herself up waiting for their response only to hear the turtles behind her shout her name in surprise but she ignored them, keeping her eyes on the two in front of her.
"Oh yeah? And what if we refuse?" Seaweed hair threatened, he and his comrade getting into a fighting pose.
"Cute." Was all she said, holding out her hand and a portal appearing in place of the ground beneath their feet, dropping them to location picked by Baron. While moving her hand to make another one, thinking of who her next target was she heard small footsteps approaching her.
"Kara? Is that really you?" She heard Raphael say but she didn't move nor speak til they were getting close to her when her wings burst from their cloaked form, expanding to their full length, the eyes staring at them making them either flinch or step back. That is when she turned around to face them wearing a black, off the shoulder, short sleeved crop top with chiffon ruffles and a skin tight tank top underneath, high waist blue jean shorts with a loose belt around her waist that had a pouch attached to it, and flat heeled ankle boots with knee high stockings.
Getting a good look at her their eyes lingered on the bandaged arm, Mikey's eyes widening slightly, "What happened to you?" he asked softly noticing her demeanor changed completely from her relaxed self to now tense and alert, the bags under her eyes more dark.
"My looks should be the least of your concerns, Michelangelo." Her eyes trailed over to him, making him hunch his shoulders and take a step back while lowering his head. Baron was planning something with him having her and the gargoyles gather these mutants but he wasn't filling her in on anything and that not only annoyed but worried her; her eyes squinting at the thought.
"Hey, just because he hurt you accidentally doesn't mean you can be a jerk to him. It's not his fault you were mutated." Leonardo stepped in front of his little brother, glaring at Kara.
Something in Kara snapped and she turned her attention on him with wide eyes but before she could open her mouth Donatello stepped in between them. She flinched for a second, closing her mouth the same time he opened his but no words came out. In the end, he closed his mouth and looked away disappointed in himself for not knowing what to say; what could he say? With the way she was something told him she wouldn't listen anyways.
Seeing Donatello in front of her calmed her down and with a sigh she turned around, creating a portal but gave them one last look, "Watch yourselves," and with that last warning she stepped through the portal, leaving them behind. Donnie gritted his teeth, throwing his weapon on the ground with a yell and walked away leaving his brothers behind. Raph picked up his weapon watching Donnie leave and looked at his brothers, all of them sharing the same concerned expression on their faces.
Arriving at her next target: Hypno, who was sitting at a table having some tea with a wreath and bouquet of roses in front of him.
She greeted him with a bow, "Afternoon, Hypno, I've come to in-"
"Have we met before? I'm getting quite the case of deja-vu." He looked her up and down while sipping his tea.
"Something like that. Anyways, you've been invited to join my master, Baron Draxum for a meeting and before you say anything; it's mandatory." a portal appeared beneath his feet, dropping him like the crab men.
Next was a Mantis mutant that went by the name Repo Mantis. She looked at her surroundings in confusion wondering why she was in a retirement home only to see the mutant of the hour fighting with an old woman for an oxygen tank. Her face fell at the sight before her, smacking her forehead and made a portal behind him where he fell through without his prize, not even bothering to give him an introduction.
Last, was the pig mutant; formally known as Rupert Swaggard, who was eating a meal while watching his old show. She almost felt sorry for him if he wasn't such a jerk as a human. Not wanting to disrupt his meal time she made a portal, dropping him to their destination and followed after him, landing on top of him safely. She walked off him and grabbed a chicken wing from the pile of food she spent overnight making while walking towards a wall, sitting down calmly and waiting for them to collect themselves.
"One of you muties know what's going on here? I got a birthday cake that needs repossessing." Repo stabbed his jagged mantis claw in to the table, squinting suspiciously at the ones around him.
"She's the one who brought us here." Seaweed hair pointed dramatically towards Kara who was chewing on her bite of chicken wing.
"Tells us why or I'll cut you in half and then not bring you back together." Hypno brought out a metal ring only for Rupert to slam his hammer onto the table, surprising Hypno to the point he fell over, "All I see is fresh meat for me to butter fly!" He stared hungrily at Kara who kept her neutral look on her face, swallowing her bite, "Moth."
"What?" He broke character for a moment, surprised by her response.
"I'm a moth." She went to cross her arms only to grab at the keychain, pull it off where it grew to it's full size and went to attack only for Baron's vines to appear from the shadows and wrap around Rupert's limbs, lifting him off the ground, "Silence! Meat Sweats.." Baron made himself known, walking out of the shadows with Huginn and Muninn on his shoulders, snickering at the mutant.
"Meat Sweats? That's the best you could come up with?" Kara stared down at him with a mocking grin. She held her weapon up when Muninn came to her, sitting on her shoulder, "Actually, it was the turtles who gave him the name," he whispered.
"That makes sense, I suppose." She held up her wrist, placing the glove against the blade end and watched as it shrunk, retracting to it's travel size and clipped back in place. Once she sat back down Baron began to speak.
"I am the one who brought you here. I look around this room and I see nothing but potential. Who thinks it's about time we-" the sound of scraping metal caught everyone's ears and turned to see a chair moving by itself towards the table was the cause of the sound. Everyone, including Kara, followed the chair with their eyes til it stopped and a worm with an oversized gauntlet and pompadour hoisted itself on the chair, "Please continue."
With a sigh, he carried on, "We join together today for one simple, menacing pla-"
"Lemonaaade!" Another mutant, a capybara sang out while flipping the lights on to reveal their location was a conference room in a cheap hotel. "I hate to brag but it has been called both 'life changing' and 'dream making'. Who wants some?" He asked, everyone, including Kara, raising their hands.
"What is going on? Who is this?" Baron stared down at him as he passed out the lemonade. "That would be Todd, sir. Trust me, he's as bad as they come." Huginn explained watching Todd walk to Kara and hand her a glass, she thanking him with a small smile. When she took her first sip she blinked in surprise when she felt as though weight had been lifted off her shoulders, "Wow, this is really good."
"I told you to get me the baddest, meanest, most skull crushing mutants and you bring me that guy?"
"If only they were filled in on your plans. Seems to me they just grabbed any mutant off the streets, I mean have you seen that guy?" She muttered the last part while pointing at the tiny worm with the too large fist, the gauntlet looking familiar to her.
He stared at her, giving her a look that said, "Are you really doing this now?" and groaned before continuing with his speech, "Everyone at this table shares a common enemy. We are here to destroy those Teenage Mutant Ninja Tur-" He stopped short when everyone began to sip their drink and let out a satisfied sigh rather loudly. Kara drank hers quietly while watching Baron become irritated; counting down to when he'd breakdown. Making it to ten seconds he slammed his hands on the table, surprising Muninn and Huginn, "Enough! I brought you all here because the turtles, my creations-"
"-Love those guys."
"Are ruining my plans for Yokai kind to reclaim our place on the surface! With your help we can take them out and you can be free and finally become everything I so badly want you to be!" His fist glew, squishing the drinks of the mutants before him, Kara hiding hers from him. "Now, who's with me."
"Excuse me." The worm waved his hand to get his attention, moving forward to make himself known, "I, Warren Stone, former anchorman and their official greatest foe, have a few questions before I join this ghoulish gang."
"I'm sorry, who are you again?"
"I have no idea." Huginn whispered.
"Why is one of his fists so big?" Baron muttered to Muninn, who repeated the question louder to Warren.
A knock on the door grabbed everyone's attention and while the employee questioned Baron about his payment Kara's attention was on Warren Stone, eyeing the gauntlet trying to figure out why it was so familiar til lightning shot out of it, hitting the guy. "The museum! Those purple, bald guys were after it. Guess he somehow got ahold of it."
"Small query; how do you know so much about all of us and why do you keep saying you created the turtles?" Meat Sweats asked.
Kara's eyes looked over the room at the mutants before her. Since Baron mutated her it was only logical that he did the same to them, whether it was intentional or not so he creating the guys wasn't a far fetched idea. Her thoughts were interrupted when Muninn and Huginn began singing about Baron's past through song at the tune of Gilbert and Sullivan. She watched them in confused awe when suddenly the other mutants joined in the singing in perfect sync. Her eyes widened at this and she began to feel her mouth open to follow suite only to clasp her hands over her mouth to stop herself, a blush coming to her cheeks, not wanting them to hear her.
When Baron mentioned a cheesy action hero she began to ponder who that could possibly be, rolling her eyes thinking her father or mother would be of some use right now til she remembered their obsession with Lou Jitsu, "Perhaps...no...but it does add up." She lifted her head in time to see Baron fly through the windows, the mutants following after him. Sighing to herself she stood to her feet to follow after him only to stop and take in the damage around her. Remembering the boy that was only doing his job and ended up getting hurt made her feel guilty so she pulled out a wade of cash from the pouch and placed it on the table before flying out towards Baron.
"Now, for some unnecessary but highly destructive violence, My Evil League of Mutants!" Baron had a crazed look on his face when Kara flew beside him, "So, what's the plan, Master?"
That night Kara flew throughout the town searching for the turtles when she saw them hanging out on a rooftop and floated there for a moment, listening in on their conversation.
"-If I can't put a smile on this crum sandwich what hope do we have?" Mikey shouted before dropping on his skateboard.
"Why can't something fly out of the sky and solve all of our problems?"
"Wish granted, Donatello." Kara pulled out four flyers from her magical pouch and looked them over in approval, "I never knew Muninn was such an artist." She let them go and with the help of her wings gave them the momentum to fly towards the guys, each getting a flyer to the face. When they began to look it over she flew off for the next part of Baron's plan.
Hearing the door open to their arrival Kara moved in place, watching from the shadows as they calmly walk inside the warehouse, seeming to not have a care in the world, guess they didn't take her warning to heart which angered her for some reason.
The door closed and she turned on the show lights, pointing them towards the stage in front of them, wearing sunglasses so they don't blind her, when Baron began to speak, "Well well well, we meet again."
"Where's that voice coming from? Wait, wait, don't tell me." Leo seemed as though he was really trying to figure it out.
"You all entered but none of you will exit. Welcome to your worst nightmare!" Baron formed out of the shadows, glaring their way.
"Baron Draxum?!" Raph shouted he, Donnie, and Leo jumping backwards and getting into weak fighting poses. Mikey on the other hand, "Wooo! Oh yeah! Go! Go! Go! Hey! Magicsaurus. Magicsaurus." Raph slowly moved to Mikey, gently pushed his head inside his shell, and slowly dragged him to them with a weak smile.
"Wait a second..this guy's a warrior, scientist AND magician? Talk about a triple threat." Leo smirked seeming impressed.
"Boss, you didn't tell us you could do magic, I love magic!"
"Can you turn Muninn into a bunny?"
"You do realize this is a trap, right?" Kara called out from above them, flying down to the stage and landing beside Baron, "I guess you chose to ignore my warning." She crossed her arms and looked away from them when the curtains behind them revealed their minions.
"Breaking news: You're toast!"
"Liver toast!"
"Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch."
"As an actual magician I'm offended by this charade."
"I'm about to repo your lives."
"This is why you never go to New Jersey!" Leo exclaimed, throwing his arms out towards the group of mutants making Kara cough and cover her mouth to hide her smile.
"One last chance, children, if you join me I can teach you how to maximize your potential, be all that you can be. Take her for instance," Baron grabbed Kara's shoulder and pulled her in front of him, grabbing her face to force her to look at them, "Once a weak, defenseless, pathetic human but now mutated, and with the help of my training, she's stronger. Faster than she ever was! I can do the same for you."
Before she could say anything,
"Hey! When she was human she was anything but defenseless, weak, or pathetic." Raphael shouted.
"She may not have known what odds were against her but she never abandoned us and fought side by side with each of us." Donatello said, staring right at her with lifted brows.
"Yeah, so you take that back!" Michelangelo added in.
"She was a true friend, even when something was our fault she was there for us." Leonardo finished.
Kara was speechless, staring at them all as they stared back with determined looks, believing the words that came from their own mouths. This made her eyes widen and water only to be brought back to reality when she felt Baron's claws dig into her cheeks. She closed her eyes remembering why she was here in the first place and removed his hand from her face, looking at them, "All he wants is for us to no longer be in hiding, to not live in fear of the people. His methods of training are a bit...harsh.." She placed a hand on her floof, this not going unnoticed by them, "but in the end..he just wants peace."
"Yes, so what's your answer?" Baron gave them a smile that meant anything but peace.
"You threw me off a roof." Leo raised his voice as if that was the only answer he needed.
"So, that's a no to joining me then? Fine. You reject me again for the last time. Now your story ends!"
"Wait a minute, is that Todd?!" Donnie shouted, pointing at Todd.
"Hey, how do you like my new friends? They are so serious! I'm like, "what?" and they're like, "Raaargh" and I'm like-
"-Enough! Now your story ends. Attack!"
Through highly unnecessary and destructive violence, the turtles exploded out of the warehouse and on to the docks, landing not so gracefully in a pile of fish.
"What do you want me to do, Master?" She flew next to him, her weapon out and ready.
"We will first see how my minions fare against them. If they fail then you will fight them and show me where your loyalties really lie. If I see one ounce of hesitation then we will pay Big Mama another visit." He glanced down at her for a second then went back to watching the fight unaware of the pure horror plastered on her face, the grip on her weapon tightening, "I..I won't let you down." She whispered through a trembling voice.
It was when she watched how their attitude changed from cowardice to confidence that she felt her fear leave her in place of awe by them using fish and ladders as weapons; and they were winning! It was when Raphael was swinging the ladder towards the group of mutants, sending them flying sky high with enough force to send them some fish for the trip that she decided it was time to intervene, her awe fading to an emotionless face.
"Now that your minions are done, lets tango you sheep, looking-"
"-No, I am your opponent now." She stepped in between them posing with her scythe behind her, blade to the ground, using her top arms to hold it with her lower arms crossed. She began to walk towards the turtles, spinning her weapon to an offensive position.
The turtles were hesitant at first but knew she wouldn't back down so easily.
Leonardo was first throwing the sword fish at her while he reached for more. She spun her weapon around slicing the fish in two watching him run at her, using the sword fish like an actual sword she raised her scythe and sliced downward, cutting the heads off the fish. "Uh oh." She heard him say but ignored him for she was ready to strike him down when she heard Raphael's battle cry behind her from above so she spread out her wings, the eyes staring right at him which caused him to lose focus and give her enough time to swing wide, catching Leonardo inside the blade, and with struggled strength throwing him into Raph. She turned around to see Michelangelo shoving the ladder towards her, it extending at a fast speed, so she jumped into the air, landing softly on it, and stabbed the scythe through one of the holes and into the ground. With the added weight on the end, it fell to the ground while he tried to pull it back and lift it. She nodded her head as if to say she would help and jumped off it while gripping the staff and lifted herself over her weapon using the momentum to swing it upward, the blade cutting through the steps of the ladder and towards Mikey, who let out a scream and immediately let go of the ladder and side stepped the attack. She used her wings to land on her feet and pushed herself towards him, shoving her body into his torso like a football player and stepped back to use the back of her scythe to throw him into a pile of fish before turning her attention to the last turtle: Donatello.
He held the ladder at his side, each staring at the other, til Kara was the first to move, her weapon raised to strike. Donatello held the ladder up sideways, blocking her continuing attacks, "I just have one thing to ask; Did he hurt you?" He asked while they struggled to hold each other back, using this opportunity to look over her features seeing no sign of the girl he hung out, danced, and laughed together with til he saw a flicker in her eye, a second of sadness and pain, til he felt a pressure on his chest and looked down to see her second pair of hands had shoved him, causing him to stumble backwards, "No, he didn't." She added more pressure against the ladder, he falling on his butt, and when he looked up at her raising her weapon to strike down he held up the ladder to block only for her to freeze when, "Stop!" reached their ears. She lowered her weapon and flew back to Baron's side while the turtles gathered themselves. She turned her head slightly to look at Baron noticing the look in his eye and had to guess he wasn't paying attention to her fight at all, still freaking out on how the turtles dealt with his minions. She sighed heavily, blowing the bangs out of her face when he finally asked, "Where did you learn to fight like that?"
"Oh, only from the greatest action film star in history: Lou Jitsu!" Raph and the others shouted the stars name while throwing their fists in the air.
This surprised Kara, figuring he was just a normal actor who used stunt doubles but if the turtles were able to fight like that with just fish and ladders..maybe he was the real deal.
"How could you morons possibly know Lou Jitsu?" Baron asked in disbelief.
"His movies! Are you a fan too?" Mikey asked.
"Dah? Nngh! NO! I knew Lou Jitsu! He was the greatest warrior in the Battle Nexus! His human DNA, combined with my ooze, gave you life!"
"So, Lou Jitsu is..their father? Then...the rat.." Kara's eyes widened in realization, "Splinter is Lou Jitsu.." She stared at the turtles as they took in this news.
"Yes! This is what I've been trying to tell you! You're destined for so much more." Baron held out his hand to them while Kara waited behind him to see what they would do.
Raphael was quiet the whole time he picked himself up til he turned around, completely geeking out over this news, "Oh me gosh! Lou Jitsu is our dad!" His brothers were joining on the news confusing Baron completely while Kara couldn't hold it in and began to laugh at their reaction.
"Enough!" Baron's shout shook Kara, even stopping the turtles from their celebrating, "If you four cannot see the true merit of your potential then I have no further use for you." His vines lifted him off the ground, chuckling darkly to himself when a purple portal appeared behind him, sucking him and his vines inside, leaving Kara and the turtles behind.
"Wait! We have so many more questions!" Raph jumped after him only for the portal to disappear and he fall flat on his face. "Leo!"
"I swear to the pizza supreme in the sky that wasn't me. I don't even have my sword." Leo crossed his arms when Mikey began to question who it really was til they heard laughing in front of them that was coming from Kara.
After she calmed down, she stared at them with a serene smile on her face, the color in her eyes shining for a moment, "You guys truly are amazing, learning to fight with everyday objects just by watching old movies? Your dad would of been proud of this fight. It's..a shame things ended this way." She grabbed her weapon to attack them but stopped when Raphael held out his hands, waving them frantically, "Wait, why do we have to fight each other?"
"Because, you're in the way of Master Baron from achieving his goals..and I need to stop that. I have no other choice.."
"You do have a choice," Leonardo started.
"Yeah, you can come back and live with us!" Michelangelo finished giving her a soft smile.
"I would love to believe that but you don't know what I've been through, what I've done." She raised her shaky voice slightly, looking at them with wide, frightened eyes before turning her head away, "Those words you spoke earlier...they were nice to hear..even if they were just words." She hugged herself while biting her lip, trying so hard not to cry but it wasn't til Donatello stepped forward, holding his hand out to her, "We can help you. Please, let us." that a single tear rolled down her cheek. With a shaking hand she went to reach for him only for the same portal to appear behind her with Baron Draxum in view, arms crossed and glaring, "You didn't think I'd forget my apprentice, did you?" His vines shot out from the portal, wrapping around her waist, arm, and neck, pulling her in.
Donatello shouted, running after them to grab her, his brothers behind him, when she stared at him with sorrowful eyes, mouthing the words, "I'm sorry." before closing her eyes, letting Baron take her away.
Being dropped to the floor she picked herself up with a groan only to see the two purple men from the museum in front of her, "What...is going on?" She looked up at Baron who was staring down at her before lifting his finger to her cheek, picking up the tear drop. Her eyes widened in fear thinking he was going to take her back to Big Mama's and immediately dropped to her knees, "No matter what plans you have I will follow them without hesitation. I promise." She gripped her hands into fists, her knuckles whitening, praying he wouldn't take her back.
"You've impressed me with your fighting so I will give you another chance. Come, we have much to discuss." He began to walk away, she lifting her head and soon following him into the van.
Things are starting to come light. Reviews are nice, I will also take hugs haha..this chapter drained me..til next time! Ha-ha!
