Y/n's Pov
"Naruto! Y/n!" We turn to see the rest of the team running towards us, "There was an emergency transmission from the training room!" Lee tells us, "What in the world happened?!"
"The star was stolen." I state bluntly. Naruto nods, "the enemy is a Ninja who files using Chakra!" Neji looks at us, "No way…!" Lee exclaims.
"Well, I mean, it's not impossible to do so, you know." The all look at me, "What?" I jump up and hover, "... yeah. Sure they made wings, but… It's not impossible."
"I've never heard of a flying Shinobi." Tenten says, looking at me. Neji grits his teeth, "Byakugan!" He says and starts using his vision, "I lost him…" He states. I nod, "Yeah, they're pretty far away." I say, using my right hand to shield my eyes from the sun, looking in the same direction.
"But what Naruto said is true. To think he can fly by making wings out of Chakra…." Lee trails. I nod and drop to the ground, "Yeah." That… I should try that sometime… or use Sharingan. "That's pretty incredible." Lee states.
"So it was true." Tenten says and I snicker, "What?! You didn't believe what I said?!" Naruto asks, "You could say that. I mean, hearing it from Y/n made me believe it more." Naruto jawdrops with a single tear coming from his eye, "W-What's up with that? Do I have that little credibility?!" I pat Naruto head, "Aww don't be like that." He crosses his arms, "Hmph!" I snicker and sigh, Wonder what the other three are up to…
~Timeskip~
Y/n's Pov
"What...? The star was stolen?!" Akahoshi questions, "Yes! The people who were training were at the scene, but they were all knocked out by an enemy Jutsu." Sumaru explains. Akahoshi punches the ground, "Pathetic!"
"You say that, but that Ninja had incredible Chakra!" Naruto protests. Lee looks at him, "Naruto, is it that incredible?" Lee asks, "Yeah! Turning Chakra into monsters or wings." Naruto explains, "It's the first time I ever saw that!"
"Is that true Sumaru ?" Akahoshi inquires. Sumaru sits up, "Yes! It's the Ninja Art: Kujaku, no mistake!" He says.
"That's the Jutsu passed on in the Village Hidden in the Stars, huh?" Tenten asks, "Yeah… As for that Jutsu, only those who have mastered the star training can-" Sumaru is cut off by Akahoshi, "Sumaru!"
"Tenten… The secrets of a Jutsu are not to be spoken of or asked about lightly." Neji scolds, "Especially with a Jutsu that can only be passed on to those of that village…" I sigh as Tenten apologizes, Yeah, but we need to help them that's why we're here… If I had been using Sharingan… could I have done that?
"Lord Akahoshi, please give me an order!" Sumaru says, "The star being stolen is my responsibility."
"Not really… we were sent here to protect it. That was our mission." I mutter and Neji nods, "It's also our responsibility." Neji agrees, "We will get the star back by our own hands, no matter what!" Actually… we should really just destroy it….
"Yes… I will leave the search for the star to the Leaf Shinobi…" Akahoshi says, "Sumaru, you keep an eye on your injured comrades." Akahoshi orders.
"But only those in the village know village matters…!" Sumaru protests, "It's an order." Akahoshi says sternly. I frown, Rude… Low key makes Akahoshi sound like Ciel… still rude.
We walk out and Naruto looks towards Sumaru, "Hey, are your friends who got beaten up by the enemy Ninja ok?" He asks.
"Well they're alive." I state as Sumaru frowns, "That's none of your business." He states, "At the end of the day, you're still Ninja from some other village! You're not my friends or anything!" He says walking past us, "What's with him?" Naruto mutters. I shrug, "It's hard for him to trust, don't mind it too much. Just who he is." Naruto looks at me and nods, "I guess…"
"Neji, you're talking about taking responsibility, but we haven't even seen the scene of the theft." Tenten says, "Actually I have, I helped with the students training there, though now I see I should've gone with Naruto."
"That might be true… but we don't really have any leads still." Lee says and I shrug, "No we do." Neji states, "You didn't pick up on it?" He asks and I shrug again, "Never said that."
"Akahoshi the village leader knows something!" Neji says and I nod, "Yeah. Too much." Oh no wait, that's me who knows too much~
"What do you mean by knowing something?" Naruto asks. Tenten puts a hand to her chin, "Come to think of it, when Sumaru was talking about the Kujaku something or other, his expression changed."
"It's just that the person who did it is associated with this village. Most likely a senior member." I inform them. They all look at me, "So?" Naruto asks, "We should look around for something that could create a lead."
"Y/n, you and I could do that. Lee and Tenten, you keep watch over that village leader called Akahoshi." Neji states, "I understand/Leave it to us!" Lee and Tenten say.
"I don't get it! What the heck should I do!?" Naruto asks, "Let's see…. You investigate from Sumaru's angle." Naruto grins, "Alright! Leave Sumaru to me! Then, I'm off for a run!"
"Naruto sure is an impetuous person, isn't he?" I shrug, "I suppose, but it's that kinda thing that's gotten him this far."
Neji gestures for me to follow after him, "Come on, let's go." I nod, "Right." I jog up to him as Tenten and Lee go to watch over Akahoshi.
~Timeskip~
Y/n's Pov
"Hey, I'm gonna go make sure Naruto isn't bullying anyone in the medical wing…" I tell Neji and he nods, "They might be able to use your medical ninjutsu as well." I shrug, "Hope they don't need it." With that I jump off and open the doors to find Naruto sitting with the girl from earlier, "Oh, hey."
"Y/n? What're you doing here? I thought you were with Neji." I shrug, "I decided to see if I could do anything for the injured." Hokuto looks over, "Oh, you're that girl from earlier." I smile slightly, "Glad to see you guys were only put to sleep." Then we hear coughing and Naruto and I walk over, "Are you ok? Thanks for saving my butt back there!" The boy coughs again, "Is there something wrong with you?"
"No… nothing at all…" The boy says, "Mm… let me take a look." Naruto nods and moves aside.
"After Mizura began the star training, he started to feel poorly…" Hokuto explains, "Hokuto! Don't be talking about the star to someone from another village!" Mizura shouts and starts coughing again. I frown, "It looks like… it looks like your…" I bite my lip, It's Neji who should be doing this but… "It looks like your chakra system is failing…" I murmur, "Naruto." He looks at me, "What? Can you help him?" He asks. I purse my lips, "Of course but…"
"But what Y/n?!" She sighs and pulls him aside, "I think it's something Neji should take a look at too, just… for judgements sake…" And if I healed him now, proof against the stupid leader wouldn't work. Naruto nods, "Right!" Y/n nods back, "And don't tell him. I want to see his personal, unbiased judgement."
Y/n starts to space out until she hears the door slam shut, "What-" I look at Hokuto and she shrugs, "I just told him that the other's went to get the star back." She says. Y/n sighs, "Ah…"
Y/n's Pov
"Y/n." Shisui? What is it? "It's about an event a long time ago" What? "Remember when you guys found Tsunade and fought Oro?" Well, kinda hard to forget but yeah. "Well…" So this is important, I need to deal with what Shisui is saying… but can I really just ditch this mission…?
"Y/n-san?" I look to Hokuto and offer a strained smile, "I uh… I think I gotta go deal with something. I'm sorry, if my team asks, I got another mission from mo- I mean Lady Hokage." Hokuto nods slowly and I sprint off. I spot Naruto about to run into the valley, Neji trying to grab him. I roll my eyes and change course, teleporting to him and stopping Naruto.
"Poison gas dumbass. Neji, keep an eye on him for me please, I have an urgent matter to deal with so I might be gone for a while, sorry." Naruto and Neji blink and I flash a sheepish smile.
"Wait, Y/n-" I shake my head, shutting Neji up, "I'll be back, please…" He nods slowly and I backflip to the other side of the cavern, "Thank you!" I shout.
Now did you say Kabutt got a hold of some of my healing ability?! "Yes, Yahiko… well…" Let's meet up and talk, ok? "Yeah, sounds good to us!" Shisui exclaims and I take a breath. Now how did they do it…? I focus star chakra to my back, making wings, Ooo funnn… "Couldn't that damage you?" I'll be fine Minato. I use it to fly to Shisui and Yahiko
"So Oro got ahold of…" Shisui struggles so Yahiko picks up, "One of your… special tears. Apparently Kabuto found the crystialized version left behind when he went back to examine it."
"And to finalize that, he'll be after you." I turn to find Naozumi standing there.
"Nice, you didn't join them after all?" I ask and he shakes his head, "Pein expected it but nah. I wasn't about to leave you. I just wanted to see what he wanted. But Orochimaru will come after you…"
"He probably alread-" I start.
"Sure he was already after you but now he has more motive. Before it was just because you had unique eyes…" Shisui had cut me off. Naozumi looks to me and sighs, "I want to train with you for today and tomorrow." My eyes widen.
"What?! I have a mission!" I shout and he shrugs, "This is important. You need to live to protect them. I'll help. Besides, Gai's there too, isn't he?" I pout and nod, "I guess…."
"Good. Now… let's go!" With that he jumps at me with a kunai. I barely have time to grab my own kunai and perry, This is harder than I thought… fighting my own brother.
He keeps pushing and he stops suddenly and sighs, "What are you doing? I should be on my ass right now." He asks and I look sideways, "That can't be good for you!" He rolls his eyes, "Why aren't you fighting back seriously?"
"I can't fight you seriously…" I state and he shakes his head, "You have to. What if someone you care about ends up in reanimation and you have to fight them?" I roll my eyes, "I won't let that happen. Hello~ Proof right there." I point to our two spectators. He huffs, "All I'm saying is you can never be too prepared." I sigh, "Fine."
After a couple of hours both Naozumi and I collapse on the ground to which Yahiko and Shisui jump by us, "Ok, you might need to rest for the remainder of the day…" I nod in agreement, "Tell me I don't have to make a base."
"We have a cave nearby." Yahiko says and I nod again, slowly getting up. They lead the way and Naozumi claims part of the floor as his bed, "Should eat, got ass handed on a silver platter by sister, not in the mood." I snicker, "You're the one who told me to." He rolls his eyes, "Night lil sis."
"So, maybe tomorrow you should practice star chakra." Shisui says. I nod, "Sounds good… thanks." I say as he hands me a sushi roll and some bread with water, "Eat and rest well, Yahiko and I are headed to bed like your brother." I nod, "Sweet dreams~"
~Timeskip~
I had woken up pretty early and eaten with Yahiko. We did some light sparing and now I'm practicing star chakra against Yahiko and Shisui, in turns. Apparently I took quite the toll on Naozumi, oops~
"Ok, let's take a break…" I state and snicker. Yahiko and Shisui nod and we all walk over to Naozumi, "Oiii, nii-san, wake up!" Naozumi's eyes snap open and he shoots up, throwing a kunai at me. I catch it and snicker, "Morning~"
He grumbles, "Whatever…" I poke his forehead, "You dork, nearly slept the day away." I snicker, "Wanna join us for a late lunch?" Naozumi nods slowly as he becomes more aware, "Are you serious? That late already..?" I shrug, "And I was still holding back~" He flicks me and I pout, "Meanie."
"Why don't you head out tonight? To the village? We'll get the scroll from the Akatsuki back." Naozumi offers. I blink and nod slowly, "Alright… sounds like a plan." I smile, "Why the change in heart?"
"We can train back at the village… and I think I should get your mom to take a look at this…" He says, gesturing to his injured body and I snicker, "Nahhh~ Looks fineeee." Shisui and Yahiko laugh and I smile, "I guess I'll get some rest before I go." They nod and I head back to the cave, getting some shut eye.
When I wake up I see stars outside and my teammates resting. I sigh and stand up, How do I want to do this…
After pondering things over for a while I head back to the star village, Lets see if Naruto did it or if I was really needed this time… I think, Maybe I should teleport… I let out a sigh and do that. When I get there, I over hear a voice.
"And your victory was so close~ It's a shame." Akahoshi chuckles insanely. Naruto curses, "To think it ran out…" I look at Neji and pretend to be clueless.
"Neji! I'm back!" I call. The man instantly turned his attack on me, thinking it'd take me off guard. Gai's eyes widen, as do everyone's, "Y/n!" Naruto shouts. I wave as the chakra approaches me. I then look around, "Oh-"
It makes contact and Akah-o-shit laughs until the dust clears and lone behold, "Hey."
"Impossible!" He shouts and I roll my eyes, "Hey so listen, I've seen a heart ripped from a chest before, but never a star…" I smile sweetly, "Wanna see what that looks like~?" He growls and comes at me again with his attack to which I counter with star chakra, "Tehe."
"What?!" Everyone looks shocked.
"Y/n! That could damage you!" Neji shouts and I wave him off, "I'll be fine Hyuuga. I always use insanely impossible methods." To that extent, Tenten face palms while Lee cheers. I drop the star chakra, How about a good ol chakra punch to the star? I think and grin, running at the man. He glares, "Bring it!" He makes his dragon chakra attack me and I hold my breath passing through it.
"What?!" I've heard that a lot today…. And on that note, I land a solid hit to the star. He passes out, from pain or loss of power, I've no clue but whatever. I walk over to the kid that was shot, "Let me see…"
The adults step a side for the master for me and I use a bit of medical ninjutsu, "If we get you all looked at by my mother, it should be fine, ok?" The villagers all nod and with that we head to the village hidden in leaves, home.
Oh we also got ratted out by mom, kinda ooops~
