During the Cold War the United States has gained two assets to help them win the fight against the Soviet Union. One will be known as the Amphibian Man while the other is a Mermaid. Alone and separated from her pod the Mermaid must fight to survive and escape back home. Allies will be made and perhaps connection? *Based off Shape of Water 2017 Film and Siren 2018 Television Show*

6. Chapter 6

Fish Out Of Water Chapter 5

Once those despicable, deplorable, heinous, and vicious group of humans depart the lab the Amphibian Man and Syrena take full stock of each other. During those Syrena realizes she wasn't the only one hurt by Strickland's arrogant behavior. Turns out her roommate is injured after all by Strickland's cattle prod in midst of the struggle. Small amounts of blood are still seeping from the open wound as it slowly heals even with his regenerative capabilities. Syrena wishes they were back in the open water. In the pod she hails from there is a healer amongst them that could've made good with of this. And even if they couldn't have reached them then Syrena has enough knowledge from simply watching that she could use natural elements found in common places in the ocean to be of some crucial assistance.

Unfortunately this is not the case here with lack of available resources in their grasp far out of reach.

So it brought them both immense satisfaction to witness their torturer in such excruciating agony.

The two aren't left alone to contemplate their actions for very long.

A short time afterwards Mr. Fleming arrives with two janitorial staff members. The same women that had originally been cleaning the lab when they'd first been brought in. Elisa and Zelda.

Mr. Flemming immediately sets them to work warning that they have a short brief 20-minute timeframe to make the violated lab spotless before they must depart.

The duo set straight to work on separate corners of the lab washing away the blood and various items scattered all over the place from the scuffle. It's in her section where Elisa locates Strickland's missing fingers. An extremely grossed out Zelda bolts out of the room in order to notify Mr. Fleming as Elisa drops the fingers into a paper bag for safekeeping.

It's at this moment Amphibian Man chooses to make his presence known much to Syrena's joint unease, reluctance, and displeasure. He slowly moves towards the glass window viewing out while at the same time voicing a soft call. This and his subtle movements draw Elisa's attention to his location.

Exuding a bit of hesitation and apprehension Elisa approaches the glass. Eyes widening considerably when she sees him with a hand pressed against the glass and Syrena hovering at his shoulder. Elisa's awestruck expression morphs into genuine concern, worry, and sympathy as she glimpses the blood flowing from their multiple injuries however small.

The iron doors leading inside suddenly openly shatter whatever moment this was turning out to be. Syrena and the Amphibian Man retreating further into the "enclosure".

"Where is his body parts," questioned Mr. Fleming with Zelda behind him.

In answer Elisa holds up the lunch bag with Strickland's missing appendages inside of it.

The three then exit the lab unbeknownst to them 2 different sets of eyes trail them out.

So I've got some bad news for all my loyal readers. My dog just passed away a couple of months ago. To be perfectly honest I'm heartbroken. He meant so much to me and even though my family has had other dogs in the past, since I moved out, he was my baby and the first animal to ever well and truly be mine. Especially during all of this craziness with covid-19 I think all dog owners can agree that your canine companions can really fill that void that one can find themselves stuck in. And make their households complete. So this is a shout out to all fellow dog lovers out there that see them as their children. Keep your animals close to you and cherish them always…That goes for cats, too. ;)

I cannot begin to describe how apologetic I am for taking so heinously long to get back on track. From this day forward that's all gonna change. Especially since now that I have some more story ideas in mind to add to my profile.
